Cosy little country pub, staff were friendly and inviting. Food was great, prices were good. Plenty of parking in a big off road parking area.

A real pub — uneven floors, creaky floor boards, quirky stairs. Food is good and wholesome staff are friendly and helpful. It is in a lovely setting next to a small river, a picturesque village with some thatched houses and a cider farm up the lane. Very close to Cleve Abbey. A lovely place — I would definitely recommend.

Busy Sunday evening but had booked table. We had great steak & ale pie & scampi. Too full for sweet but shall return for salted caramel fudge cake. Good selection of ales and lagers. Staff very welcoming & friendly.

Lovely pub, served very quickly. Didn't have to wait to long for food. Lady behind the bar very friendly and polite. Young girl serving food also friendly. Lovely outside area. Stood watching trout in the stream. Very calm and peaceful. Definitely worth a visit.

Highly recommend very clean and staff are all lovely. Happy to cater for gluten free and veggie boyfriend. Couldn't ask for a better stay and the food was literally amazing and so reasonably priced. We will be back.

A nice pub, full of character in a great location. Food is varied, of good quality and the service was quick. Our room, including the ensuite area was small and the bed was very uncomfortable (a cheap mattress). Breakfast is only served between 9.00 and 10.00am which is fine if you want a lie in but not ideal if you have a full day planned and want to get off earlier.

Popped in for lunch and a pint and all I can say is wow! What a beautiful pub and fabulous food. The duck breast I had was simply devine. Definitely worth a visit.

Good pub. 3 real ales and a cider on the pumps well populated with locals enjoying a drink. The blackboard with their food offerings seemed substantial. I didn't eat but there was a sold out sign so that dish must have been popular.

Stayed here for 2 weeks whilst on a course. Room was really comfortable. Food is great. Ate in the bar every night and didn't have a bad meal. Staff really nice and friendly. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

First Class Dog Friendly place. Lovely location and good choice of Real Ales.

Went in the pub on New Years Eve for a quick pint and really liked the atmosphere of the locals getting their evening off to a fine start. Food was being served which looked good.

Extremely reasonably priced b&b. Good food, excellent service from friendly staff. Our room was lovely, clean and very spacious. It is so nice nowadays to go to a traditional pub, friendly locals. The only criticism would be ‘dog friendly’ should be accept ‘friendly dogs’! Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely pub in a great setting. Beer nice, but food pretty standard so was a bit of a let down. I think I expected more due to the lovely ambience, not awful, just standard pub food eg not real chips and gammon over done.

Staying in the lodge for a couple of nights. The food is superb the staff are very friendly and the locals were very welcoming. It's been a fabulous stay can't recommend it enough.

I had a roast meal today and it was lovely, great size portion and the desert was amazing! Peanut butter and chocolate brownie cake! You can't go wrong.

Comfortable, spacious rooms. Quiet when upstairs (even when the bar area was packed) and the breakfast and staff were lovely. Very accommodating for dog owners. A fantastic location for Dunster Castle & Minehead Beach. Would thoroughly recommend.

Pleasant rural pub close to Cleve Abbey near Washford just off the A39. Large car park and outside seating area across the stream. Serves a nice selection of real ales and does reasonably priced food. Called in on a Saturday lunchtime and most of the tables were full.

These people are what the business is all about. Friendly with a great local following. Good local sourced food and fantastic ales and ciders. They are on the river side just yards from old cleeve priory and have a cider farm just a small walk away. Well worth a visit.

We stayed one night, luckily it was valentines night and there was a special menu, wonderful food, preared and cooked to perfection. A really great village pub, good range of beers, nice staff, and a clean comfortable pub bed room. Even better their prices are very very good.
