Amazing place that makes your stay so great, can’t wait to come back.

So just returned after a fantastic weekend break.
Dragon house was the perfect venue for our large group of friends.
Place is full of character homely and warm.
Thank you Harvey we will be back I’m sure.

What a fab place to go with friends. Despite the disappointment of having our trip to Rome cancelled. We are determined to have a great weekend.

We had a fantastic time celebrating Paul's 70th birthday with the Riley family, at Dragon House. Couldn't have been more perfect, the house was spacious, comfortable and we'll equipped. I would definitely recommend it.

Loved it went for mums 70th birthday with all my siblings nieces nephews in-laws was lovely x.

The Dragon House is a fantastic country pub/hotel that can now be rented by visiting parties. Our group of ~9 had a brilliant, memorable time — the facilities are excellent, the rooms (all en suite) are very spacious and the host/owner (Harvey) is very hospitable and nearby if needed.

We have been here for the past week 18-25 Aug 2017. Such a beautiful house and large gardens. Lots of things to see and do in the area. We used the house to celebrate my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary, my grans 80th birthday and my nieces 18th birthday. The house sleeps plenty of people. We had 17 of there and there was even more beds spare. A beautiful location for a family get together as we had people from Dorset, sommerset, Bristol, Yorkshire, Wales and South Africa there. Sad to leave such a beautiful place but we definitely made some special memories there. Would highly recommend to family and friends.

Wow, what a place. We had an absolute blast at Dragon house for my Hen weekend. Comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen and bar, along with fab social areas, including a great dining room, living room and gardens. Harvey couldn't of been more helpful, allowing us to check in early and plant a rose in memory of a dear friend, within the grounds. We all loved our stay and went alway vowing to come back, which we certainly shall do. Thank you, thank you, thank you Harvey.

The house and cottage are a holiday self catering let. However many people turn up thinking that we serve drinks, cream teas and evening meals so that must be advertised somewhere! The cottage is let separately consequently the court yard out side area disturbs the people on the cottage as the house sleeps 16 people. Worth asking if the cottage is let before booking. The house is shabby but comfortable and we have been there with family and friends twice. There is a very busy road running close by so keeping the front door locked is essential if you have children or dogs. Great place for a get together.

This place is no longer a hotel but instead a holiday home. We rented the entire place and it was fantastic. The rooms are spacious and clean. The kitchen is a full fitted industrial style kitchen stainless steel everywhere. With a huge dining room to match. But the main attraction of course is the bar. What a cracking atmosphere that place has. We stocked it ourselves. We had a smashing time over bank holiday weekend. Couldn't be better.

Spent last weekend at the Dragon House with family and friends celebrating my 50th birthday. Everyone loved the House. Converting a hotel into a rental property is a great idea, as there is lots of space and unique bits that make the stay even better. We all enjoyed the bar and all had a go at being the landlord/lady. This became the natural gathering point. If you enjoy cooking then the kitchen is great. More pots, pans and plates than you know what to do with. Don't expect 5 star accommodation, but it is all more that adequate, with all the bedrooms having their own character and the age of the building means that there is not a flat bit of floor upstairs, which in itself provides good entertainment. Would recommend this property for a family or group get together.

My wife and I booked Dragon House for our 25th wedding anniversary to share the celebrations with our friends and family. I would like to say that Dragon House is an excellent place to stay for family gatherings. The place is lovely and clean with great bedrooms, lounge and dining room, but as we had a celebration, the bar area was fantastic. The outside area was great with plenty of tables and chairs and large gardens. There is a large kitchen with commercial size fridge, freezer and ovens. There is ample parking for many vehicles. The owner is very friendly and I cannot praise Dragon House any more with everyone in our party having an excellent time.

Such a gorgeous place! Room 10 (in the garden) is adorable, with a comfy bed, just washed sheets and a huge bath tub with waterfall shower. The lady running the place (reception, bar, dinner & breakfast! ) was the perfect hostess — the food was simple but yummy and we will definitely be visiting again. What a little haven!

Only had a couple of nights stay in February but the room was lovely, Clean and comfortable, very welcoming. The food was great as was the service. My wife and I would have loved to have stayed longer but were moving on to Wales for a family wedding.

Stayed here for one night and we were very impressed with the period features and lovely decor. The ambience was lovely with its charming fireplace and cosy corners. The hospitality was warm and welcoming. The breakfast was tasty and locally produced.

Quality old coaching hotel with excellent ambience. Food to die for and very friendly staff.
