Wow we’ve had the most amazing holiday at Craig Manor.
All the staff have been so helpful and went above and beyond.
We were upgraded to the Lord of The Manor room which was fantastic — huge bed and large luxurious room.
Breakfast was fantastic and the waiting staff were so attentive.
Thank you Jason and your incredible staff for making our stay so exceptional.
We highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back.

Fantastic stay … hotel is lovely and cosy … staff are very friendly … rooms are lovely and spacious … breakfast was excellent … stunning views … and close to Bowness just a short walk … we have just booked a second stay.

Just called in for a sandwich and a pint food was fabulous and staff very helpful and friendly definitely recommend it and looking forward to staying here in November.

Our go to place. Turn left for central Windermere or right for central Bowness. Beautiful secret garden. Chilled place. Attention to detail 5* as is Valerie and her team looking after everyone. Don’t miss it.

Only stopped for a rest and refreshing drink. Lovely friendly bar staff. Beautiful decor and very plush inside.

Had a very pleasant Sunday lunch here. The food was nice. The service was good. Staff were very attentive which is a pleasant change from many places. Tables were well spaced and covid aware.

First time visiting and would definitely come back, the views whilst dining are spectacular and the rooms are lovely and clean. Slightly disappointed as had put on the booking it was for our 18th Anniversary and didn't get any recognition for it but overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend to others xx.

We stayed for 3 nights with our dog. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The food was amazing, high quality. Lovely view, comfortable bed and clean room.
We will be back soon.

Ideally located for a short walk to either Bowness or Windermere. Helpful friendly staff, clean and nicely decorated rooms (quiet too) Ample parking. Not a massive selection on the menu in the restaurant but what we had was lovely. Breakfast is great too. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.

Just came back from staying at the Craig Manor hotel for New Year celebrations. What a hotel! The views and locations are perfect. Hotel is cosy and friendly with the rooms everything you need for visiting the lakes. Food was fabulous and the staff could not do enough for you. Such hardworking staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Another bonus is that they allow dogs. Thank you for having me and my family x.

It is really lovely here, the staff are really great nothing is to much trouble. Room is cleaned to a high standard each morning and lovely breakfast and evening meal. Rooms with lake views are lovely.

Tilly looking very stately at the Craig Manor Hotel … fabulous weekend away in this great very relaxing and comfortable dog friendly hotel. Staff & the manager all friendly and helpful and showed an interest in the doggies too. Best ever pillows and comfortable beds all the ingredients for a great nights sleep, topped off with a really good tasty breakfast.

This was our first stay here. Room was clean, small, but ensuite bathroom was fine. Room overlooked a main road, so would choose a room with a view next time. Hotel was in need of a revamp, sheet had holes and headboard and wallpaper was a bit worn and in need of TLC and a larger TV would have been great. Couldn't fault the breakfast or quietness of our stay, was peaceful and relaxing, so would return. Great location, within walking distance to the lake, pubs and restaurants. Would definitely go back.

The hotel is nicely situated on the edge of the town, very helpful and pleasant staff, (plenty of them). Nice comfortable lounges, although some of the couches cushions have seen better days, so soft it felt like you were going through to the floor. On our anniversary dinner, the table was dressed specially with a balloon and candles, so sweet of them. Can't fault our room, although in the bathroom the toilet was to close to the edge of the bath, your knees touched the side, you had to sit sidesaddle. Over all, a very nice hotel 4

A friendly place, serene and less than 10 minutes walk to Bowness town with all the bars n restaurants. Good breakfast!

Amazing views and location, food was terrible and restaurant staff had no ideas how to offer service or deal with complaints, even at checkout just told to email manager my complaints, easier just not to go back a share feedback, but very expensive for a tired building and furniture in rooms.

Needs new management. The place needs updating and some staff who actually gives a toss about customers. Terrible place.

This hotel is simple but has excellent service. Friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast was excellent. I recommend it.

Really well placed hotel easy walk to Bo'ness and the lake one way and windermere the other Food was good and the room was comfortable and clean with nice view over the lake.

Had carvery lunch very disappointed, no roast beef no Yorkshire pudding 2 out of the sweets not available. Struggled to get wine ordered don't seem to want to give drinks.

Visited here December & just come back now again with our little dog. The Staff are Very Friendly and on Both Occasion's we ate in the Restaurant and all Meals were Presented Lovely and Food was Delicious. We had a room at the Front of the Hotel which was nice with a Large Comfy Bed and Bath/Shower and also Kettle with Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate/Milk and Biscuits. We had full English Breakfast once from the menu in December and now from the Buffet in which you help yourself which is lovely. The Staff are always over asking if you want more Tea or Coffee very Lovely People and Compliments to the Chef on our Lovely Roast of the Day Only downfall to this Hotel are the Drinks if they weren't so expensive maybe other Guests would stay in the Hotel rather than going out into Town but Over All My Husband and Our Little Dog and Myself Love The Craig Manor and will return back in the Winter.

Very good family run hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable. Plenty hot water. Good food. Friendly staff. Good base to explore the Lake District. Walking distance to shops. "Lake view" is more of the surrounding hills as about 1 mile from Lake Windermere. Good for couples.

Very reliable for a good meal. Clean inside and friendly staff. Excellent for Sunday carvery.

Beautiful view and old style rustic feel in the rooms. The breakfast was very nice and the view from breakfast room is exquisite. Location is very good as well. Close to Bowness pier and easy walk to Windermere town centre. Lots of nice restaurants nearby as well. Staff is polite and helpful.

Dined here on sat 23 rd September. First glance was fine, until we were charged £17 for 2 wines and a small bottle of larger.
The dining room looks like it hasn’t been decorated since the 1980s, but that’s just my taste, others may love it. Starter was ok. Main course was very disappointing. Had the roast of the day. Very nicely presented but the roast potatoes were black and rock hard and Luke warm. What really annoyed me was that as the mains were served I asked for another glass of wine to have with my meal. When it didn’t arrive after 10 minutes I asked about it. Was told “sorry, the barman is busy making coffees”. When it finally arrived after 20 minutes I had finished my meal. Desert was nice.

We liked it! Great location, good food. Our room (105) had no views to speak of, but we got plenty of nice views on the hikes.

Arrived earlier today beautiful spotless room tastefully decorated beds very comfy can't wait to try the restaurant.

Service was fine and the staff were friendly, everything was clean, however I expected a bit more from the room given the price we paid, it was fairly basic and quite small.

Like the hotel the location is good the staff are very nice, very generous with the tea/coffee room supplies being from nelson it's a bit of a shock paying nearly £5 a pint but it's priced similar elsewhere in bowness but the food is slightly overpriced and looking at the main meal menu disregarding price I only liked the sound of one of the meals which happened to be the most expensive and we found eating elsewhere more reasonably priced, regards the room maybe something could be done about the constant noise emanating from the radiators which would of kept us awake were it not for the ear plugs we brought, overall we did like it.

A beautiful location just between Windermere and Bowness and easily accessible from both. The room was clean and had lovely decor. The breakfast was amazing and a pleasure to eat in such a lovely restaurant with a stunning view towards the lake. Staff polite and helpful. Great service, would recommend highly.

We have just arrived home after what could only describe as a fantastic five days, room 205 better than we expected. Food out of this world, staff a credit to you, friendly and helpful. Then I went for drink and met your little arrogant unsociable barman.

We called for a drink as none residents and was almost kicked out at 10:50 after being offered more drinks, very uncomfortable and unprofessional bar staff, I really wouldn't consider staying here!

Very comfortable, food very good, staff obliging, the bedroom we stayed in was an upgrade facing lake first floor, thought it was a little on the small side for an upgrade room also looking a little tired, but overall experience was agreeable.

Service was excellent, food was ok, but all a bit dated.
