We booked to stay here 7/8 /9 May 2018 in the ground floor Hummingbird Room. (PS You can't see out of the main room windows because they are covered in plastic. ) What we liked : Room was clean. Shower very hot. Only 5 mins from Hexham town centre. Breakfast was good. We disliked : Room wasn't cleaned nor dirty cups replaced on our second day there. Bed mattress had clearly seen much use and needed replacing in my opinion. The room hospitality tray had no coffee sachets on our arrival. I would have liked to award more stars but it's 2018 and standards and expectations are rising. (Ps this comment updated 22/5 after the owners reply… "So we are being "mean" eh, presumably by not giving you a higher rating? Hmmm… Based on our experience with your business, we think a 3 star rating entirely appropriate… Room unserviced, poor mattress, no coffee etc. We are confused as to why you think you deserve a higher rating? You are running a business and on this occasion didn't provide a 4 or 5 star service to us. Trust me … since this was a well deserved break, we only wish you had. ")

This was nice… slightly overpriced I thought for what it was. Decor was a bit dated and dusty. Curtains didn't actually meet to draw.

Great central location, clean and comfortable. Attentive and understanding hosts. Top floor all to ourselves and lovely views over the town.

Busy Church with great support and facilities.

We have the Meadowlark room which is spacious, light and has a good en suite bathroom.

I don't recommend this b&b.

What a cute B&B! Beautifully decorated, cozy and homey! Will definitely be back for some more of those pancakes as well!

My Father and I stayed here whilst exploring Hadrian Wall last October. Fantastic but discreet welcome. Lovely room and exemplary breakfast. What more could we have asked for. Many thanks.

What a great boutique B&B! Well appointed rooms, with huge bed, soft linen, Wi-Fi, large double ended en suite bath and walk in shower. The Skylark room is excellent, and great value for money. Good selection for the inclusive breakfast with homemade honey-roast granola. Free car-parking and 5 minute walk to the Abbey.

Great little bed and breakfast. Very clean, very comfortable and the breakfast is delicious! Julie is a very kind and friendly host. Would definitely stay here again.

One night in Hexham and you need a rest The welcome's good and the breakfast is fine You'll find your room is clean, decoration tasteful And if you want conversation, then that's good too. If I'm in town I will be staying here again.

We stayed at Hexham Town B and B the night before we started the St Oswald's Way long distance footpath. We had a great night's sleep followed by a hearty breakfast — much needed before we set out on our 18 mile day one walk. We were going to get a taxi to the start of the walk but Julie insisted on taking us to the exact spot — some miles away. Wonderful hospitality.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Clean, quiet. The bed was very comfortable. I was lucky to be treated to fresh local raspberries. Very friendly, helpful hosts. Breakfast items were conveniently left out so I could serve myself whenever it suited me. Loved walking through Hexham. Hope to return one day.

Very quiet locastion, entrance is from the back door in a quiet cul de sac. Landlady Julie seems lovely. Very friendly and helpful the room was excellent. Really well decorated, clean and warm. I could not ask for more.
