This is one of the best presented and well run B&Bs I have stayed in. It also has a really nice hostess who will make you feel truly welcome. I highly recommend this place.

Adele was extremely welcoming and very friendly. Room was very clean, as was the whole guest house. Breakfast was delicious. In fact the only bad thing I can say about my stay there was that I had only booked in for one night. I wish I could have stayed for longer.

This b&b is close (5 minutes slow walk) to the centre of Carlisle, both bus station and railway station are nearby. The b&b has stairs up to bedrooms, there is not a lift as it is a Victorian house, but the landlady has been known on occasion to carry bags upstairs for the infirm who have packed too much into their cases and are unable to lift the bags themselves! The superior ensuite room has a king size bed and a single bed, 3 chairs and several mirrors. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast downstairs in the breakfast room was either full English, kippers or cereal of which there was a good selection. The Landlady is very friendly and interesting to talk to. Carlisle has some uneven paving stones so watch your footing while walking around.

Was made to feel really welcome over my 3 night say Food was excellent and staff always went the extra mile very clean and tidy will be going back some time would recommend to any one else staying there 10 out of 10 for sevice.

Conveniently located and near town centre. Family is very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and business as whole is well organised. Nice breakfast, continental and full english with vegetarian and vegan options. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Victorian house Accommodation!

Seven mad Scotswomen descended on Adele on Friday and couldn't have been made more welcome. Excellent service, clean rooms amazing breakfasts and brilliant hosts. Definitely be back.

We stayed at Cornerways in October of 2017 for two wonderful nights. Adele and her family run the house with order, energy and panache. There isn't a problem or concern of the traveler or tourist they can't solve. Adele goes out of her way to please her guests; stay here! It's the best guest house in Carlisle.

The hotel has a wonderfully homey feel and is run by a pleasant couple. The room was of decent size, but as we were on the top floor, the ceiling was slanted creating minor problems for us tall folk. If you like blue toilet water, the hotel offers that in its bathrooms. For breakfast, we had a nice English breakfast with standard coffee and orange juice offered as well. Cornerways is a comfortable place to stay if you are looking for a place with a blue collar feel.

Cornerways guest house is biker friendly hotel with super safe lock up for either bicycle or motorcycles. Combining with the excellence choice of shampoo and comfortable bed, it gives me a peace of mind when I am sleeping. Clear and the hosts are friendly and helpful, definitely worth the 5 stars.

Second stay here Adele and her on son Tom are great hosts will be going again in October.

As a regular for over 7 years, I can recommend Cornerways Guest House of best conscience. A typical English B and B, very clean and well maintained, super breakfast with several options, best location in the Center very close to the bus station, from where all tourist attractions of the area are easily and often can be reached. Promenade, port, restaurants, Cafés and pubs, as well as inner-city shopping are within easy walking distance. The hosts are very friendly, open and always helpful, without being ever pushy. ' English hospitality at its best! ' It will be done to offer the guest a pleasant and easy stay.
