I guess for what we paid it was ok. But. It my cuppa of tea! Staff were very friendly and breakfast ok. Just if you want a quiet night no chance as down on quayside and it’s hard work!

What don't I recommend. YHA Bristol. It can improve by not being in Bristol. I was suggesting a YHA somewhere else, and Faecesbook in its infinite wisdom decided one YHA is like another no matter where it is.

Clean and tidy, location is fairly well situated. Staff are friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we need bed for the night.

Stopped here for a weekend on a stag do, rooms were well priced and clean. Well positioned as right on the harbour front so only a short walk to nearby pubs, clubs and restaurants.

The perfect hostel, very clean and full of facilities. Really quiet! Suitable also for families and business travellers or students. Nice coffee bar, made from an historical warehouse.

A cozy hostel in an ingenious location with very friendly service. Unfortunately, the rooms on the 5th floor are unbearable in summer, even the USB connections on the bed do not work. On the 3rd floor everything was fine.

Not bad. Very simple. Some wall plugs were not working but you still what you pay for. Definitely worth it if it’s a stag do.

Super nice team (! ), great building and enough attractive places to stay. Perfect location. Unfortunately, too little water pressure and chairs and table are missing in rooms. Too few hooks to hang clothes-there were no cupboards in our room. More raw food for breakfast. Overall almost full score!

I wasn't actually staying there as a guest although, during the last 2.5 years whilst I have been NFA, when I have needed to charge my mobile phone they haven't minded taking some of the little money I have been able to hang on to for more than a day or two for a pint of lager/cider. They obviously believed they were doing me a huge favour, allowing me to pay them above average prices for what was nothing more than an excuse to be in the building! What with their most gracious treatment of me in the past I must admit I was a trifle 'miffed' when I requested the use of their toilet and was swiftly turned away with the words "They are only for paying guests (as in overnight)! It being bank holiday there was absolutely no other place near that I could use. Even if there has been some recent policy change ; which would mean they never informed me of the previous policy and also the means they didn't mind breaking policy on an almost daily basis before, when there was profit to be made from alcohol ; they could have at least attempted to use a little tact and diplomacy as opposed to a 'somehow' less than matter of fact statement followed by complete ignorance!
I have managed pubs and restaurants all over London and various other parts of England and I have never once felt it necessary to deny someone the use of a lavatory.

Very reasonable accommodation for the price. The staff were polite and helpful. Nice atmosphere. There were four of us staying. We had a problem with our booking, and were allocated an incorrect room without an en-suite. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available and it was too late to book anywhere else. The staff were very apologetic, and were able to offer us a free breakfast to compensate. Mistakes do happen, and it was good to have a problem satisfactorily dealt with efficiently and professionally.

Stayed here last year. Good service, nice atmosphere and good views of the harbor. There are secure boxes under the bed to store valuables. You will need to buy a lock, or you can use your own. Had a filling full English breakfast for a small fee. Quick booking too. I enjoyed my stay here.

Really easy to find, staff really helpful. We got aa private room with a toilet and shower with plenty of room. Great value for money, been becore and will stay here again for sure!

Well located but a bit old.

Great place to stay — Hostel prices with 5* Hotel services. I have stayed in hotels and hostels across Europe & Canada. YHA was by far the best stay iv stayed in. VERY clean and well kept. Staff were very helpful with all needs and requirements. 4 dorm rooms have own showers and toilets which again are very clean and tidy. Would recommend to anyone visiting Bristol.

Quite cheap and you can sign up for a further discount. Check in is after 2pm but they can hold your bags if you arrive early. Some hooks were missing in the shower rooms, otherwise no faults with the hostel itself. 2 people in my room got in an argument over the light, so I'd recommend a sleeping time preference option when booking to group similar people together.

Stayed in a room for 3 (a bunk with a double bed on the bottom and a single on top). Room was clean and had a nice view over the quay. Shower was right next to our room and didn't have trouble with queuing. Would stay here again.

I stayed with 3 other friends at a private room over new years eve. The room were nice and clean with basic amenities. We were also lucky in having a clear view of the harbour. Staff was 24 hours on desk and really friendly. We even got chatting to them at 4 in the morning. Highly recommended.

Good hostel, good standard, not spectacular but will certainly tick all the boxes. I would recommend staying here and it is also close to everything you would need and all the restaurants and cool things to see and do.

Spent a night in a dorm room, good facilities on site, bar and cafe. Storage facilities, bring your own padlock, there's a lift to all floors. Good central location on the harbourside.

No frills but great location and very clean. Friendly and accommodating and the beds were actually pretty comfortable. If you're looking for hotel quality you'll be disappointed, but it meets appropriate expectations!

Great place to stay if you have a group big enough to hire an entire room. Can't fault the price at around £40 a night. Great location too, right by the harbour side in Bristol. Beds are comfy and the facilities are clean. The bedrooms can get a little hot during the night, but there are windows to counter this to some degree. The cafe and lounge area is very comfy and a nice place to relax and chill.

I don't recommend it!
Good: Location and cleanliness bad: old building and complete creaking, you hear all the noise from one room to the other, including the hallways.

Inexpensive accomodation in a great location. Good all you can eat breakfast for £6.25 and access to a lounge and games room.

The best hostel at all! Clean and modern. The bar offers fresh food and drinks. All the staff very dispobible! I have made many friends in this hostel! Highly recommended!

Comfortable, dorms do not have chairs to sit on. Personel has little bit odd attitude partly, while asking for toilet paper for second time, the answer was that it will be attended to during the day.

Lovely staff, very helpful with figuring out what to do. Being right by the waterfront is beautiful, and basically the best location in town, especially conpared to the other Bristol hostels. Also one of the cheapest! Really glad I decided against the Full Moon hostel to come here, best decision I made in Bristol.

Took the kids for a short stay had a wonderful visit. Great location for walking to the Aquarium, @ Bristol and many more attractions with restaurants at your doorstep. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was private and very comfy a bit noisy but can't help students even with all the be quite signs. Kids loved it and so did I. Highly recommend Bristol YHA.

Perfect location and overall ambiance. Electricity problems in the rooms : couldn't charge anything during one night. Greats services and nice common areas.

Perfect location right on the harbourside, only 2-3 minute walk from all of the local bars and busy social areas. The room was basic with only beds and a sink, but it was exactly what was to be expected. The beds were clean and comfy, and there was not anything to complain about. Breakfast is available of you choose as well.

That was my first experience of a hostel and I'd say it was pretty good. I was sort of lucky to be alone in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Brand new shower rooms. Staff were welcome and friendly. Breakfast costed £6.50 and was a bit dull and limited but still okay.

Superb location on Broad Quay and helpful staff have made my two visits to YHA Bristol comfortable and memorable! The rooms are a good size and reasonable price wise. The only downside is how warm the rooms get at night! I look forward to visiting again soon.

This very well situated and very very clean all around, it is advisable to book with a private bathroom.

I enjoyed my stay at the YHA Bristol. It is simple but clean. I stayed in a room with shower and toilet and 2 bunk beds. The bunks seemed to be well made and strong. The room had a lovely big window with glimpses of the river. Bedding was provided but no towels. It was very warm so had the window open at night which made it noisy on a Saturday night. I would stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends.

Clean, helpful and only a marred by a small room issue, which they quickly fixed. Would recommend.

Brilliant spot for a beer or cider for alfresco drinking on the Harbourside on a sunny evening.

Great location in heart of Bristol. Self catering kitchen. Big and bright rooms.

Only called in for a coffee was a very good coffee and cheap good position would call in again.

Went to Bristol with 4 of my buddies. We all got into the same room. There were 2 bunk beds and one was a double. Very comfortable bed and pillow. We also had our own shower and washroom. Place was free reasonably clean as well. The location was very convenient. We were right across from all the bars and clubs.

Clean and lively is a good base for a band of boyfriend decided to skim the bars in the city.

The YHA is a good venue not only for those travelling and requiring reasonabley priced accomodation, but it is also a useful centre for meetings and conferences. It has recently had a refurbishment of the cafe/bar area and is a pleasant place to drop in for a drink.

Great overnight stay with schools girls cricket team, rooms, clean, very warm though, could have done with better pillows, good service great breakfast and packed lunch provided for our girls, would use again for sure.

Great location in Bristol, a good city centre Youth Hostel. Our toilet leaked unfortunately! We made the trip to spend the day at @Bristol, which is a couple of minutes walk away.

Super cheap, clean, friendly staff with a bar, and right in the middle of town — what's not to like.

It is cool, quiet and you meet plenty of youth from different countries.

The breakfast was alright but the accommodation was dreadful the walls were torn and the place had a funny smell. Somebody snored in the room and they would not supply towels for the showers.

Very nice hostel! Loads of rooms, all very clean and tidy, and the beds were good.

First class hostel. Very nice cafe — especially the upstairs seatings with books. Lovely rooms, perfect location.
