We stayed here as part of the Night on us stays for Intensive care nurses where we were generously treated to a 2 night stay here. Everything was perfect, the rooms were clean and comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect. I didn’t know what to expect of Bristol but it was fantastic, vibrant and alive from morning into the evening. We will definitely be back … thank you.

World kindness day and we have received a lovely lasagne meal at The Grand Appeal house where we are staying while our little boy is in hospital. Such a lovely gesture and lovely food. Thank you.

Haven’t stayed at this hotel but wanted to say a massive thank you. I am staying at cots for tots accommodation and today “The Bristol” supplied all the families staying here with a lasagne meal. Such a welcome and unexpected surprise. We don’t find time to worry about looking after ourselves much here so to have that taken care of was such a lovely thing for a local business to do and means we can get back to our little boys cot side even quicker. Thank you.

We stayed for one night at the Bristol and were very pleased with the exceptional service we received. Every member of staff was polite, friendly and helpful. I called ahead to let them know that we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and they went above and beyond to make our stay extra special.
The hotel is situated in an ideal location, the room and hotel itself was immaculate, and the breakfast was delicious. We could not fault a thing and would definitely return to this hotel if we were to visit Bristol in future.

My husband and I discovered this gem of a hotel 4 years ago, and have returned at least once a year since then, their service and ever friendly staff are always welcoming.

Very nice hotel! I visited for a Christmas party and the hotel was very clean. Rooms are great and staff are very nice. I would definitely stay here again!

We got Married here last year and returned for our anniversary yesterday, the staff are so friendly and really looked after us, the food was so tasty and the rooms really comfortable and spotlessly clean. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel 10/10 :-)

We have stayed at The Bristol several times now and it never disappoints. Always an amazing welcome from the staff on reception and an impeccable service from everyone throughout. Simply the best hotel for immaculate rooms, attention to detail and location by the harbour. Somewhere we will continue to return to for many years.

Great hotel in a great location! We booked one night originally to see Bloc Party, but spur of the moment we decided to book a second night to see Elbow! Lady on reception very helpful with our request. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean. The only downside was the lifts with one out of order and one very slow. But this didn’t detract from a great stay. Would recommend this hotel.

We stayed first weekend in June for my sisters wedding, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful trying to accommodate an earlier check in than first thought, our room was lovely and comfortable and accommodated my family of 4, the 24hr rooms service was also an added bonus especially like us you are staying for an event and your hungry in the early hours. Our stay was wonderful and we shall be staying again next time we are in Bristol.

Lovely atmosphere, piano player, attentive staff, good cakes and sandwiches.

Excellent customer service, really makes a difference. Spotlessly clean, great value and lots of good quality extras; juice in the lobby, bottled water given on checkout for the journey and temple spa toiletries.

Stayed for an anniversary treat. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable and well presented with all the lovely treats to make your stay special. The cocktails in the bar were good if not a little expensive. The breakfast buffet was really well stocked and the choice was amazing including a selection of smoked fish! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Bristol of course is a great place to visit. We will definitely come again.

The room was immaculate and the bed super comfy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The NCP car park located adjacent was extremely reasonable at £5 for overnight parking if you are staying in the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and there was a good choice to suit all tastes. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

A classy hotel

We found there a great modern hotel with large and new rooms well insulated. The bedding is impeccable and the progress of the room and bathroom is top notch.
The rich and varied dinner and breakfast were excellent.

I hired the George White Suite for afternoon tea for 30 people to host my Baby Shower. From start to finish the event was a huge success. The Bristol Hotel staff went above and beyond in the planning stages and carried on the same level of assistance on the day. They created seat name cards and a seating plan for me. Nothing I requested was too much and most importantly the afternoon tea was incredible! If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. It was genuinely perfect! Couldn't recommend The Bristol Hotel more and the best part is that there was no cost to hire the room. Thank you :)

My wife booked this hotel as a birthday treat and it did not disappoint. Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Staff very professional and attentive.

Fantastic hotel! Room was quiet and extremely comfortable. Staff were very welcoming. The hotel has a very nice, cosy lounge/bar area overlooking the river and a gym. Will definitely be returning.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and the breakfast was delicious.
Booked a deluxe king room to celebrate my birthday.
Arrived 45 mins after check-in opened but our room was not ready. Receptionist apologised and gave us vouchers to have a drink at the bar while we waited for room to be serviced. This was all lovely… until we were given our room keys and left to get our bags from the car, whereupon I dropped my phone and smashed the screen!
Arrived at room to find a birthday card, chocolate bar and an iced birthday message — nice touch.
Room was very comfortable and overlooked the centre of the hotel as I'd requested a quiet location. Bathroom toiletries were Lovely, but the bathroom was the smallest I've ever had anywhere in the world. Quite ridiculous!
Breakfast was very relaxed and absolutely delicious.
I would definitely stay here again, but wish they'd had our room ready on time because I've had to pay as much to get my phone fixed as I did for the room and parking! Parking arrangements are excellent by the way — bargain.

Terrible hotel, if I could give it 0 stars I would, someone warned me about them messing up rooms for them before but I put it down as a one off and still booked 6 rooms for a stag party for me an 11 mates, only to be told when we got there they only had 4 rooms for us, so 4 mates had to find another hotel for 2 rooms, then to come home and booking. Com had taken money out for 2 rooms, as we only paid for 4, which was only available, my brother has been battling all week to get the money refunded but the hotel has said that we had 6 rooms, but 4 lads had to stay in another hotel an we all paid for the 4 rooms when we was there, awful place very unorganised and ended up costing us al lot more money! Oh and the breakfast in the morning after eating it went to pay and was £16 each, Ive had cheaper breakfasts in much nicer hotels!

Very lovely hotel, which made the trip to Bristol even better. Room was well insulated from noise and light, so we both had a very peaceful sleep. We asked for toothpaste and were given plenty to tide us over until we got home. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The central location is the absolute plus point. The staff is net. The rooms are clean. A small drawback is the size of the rooms. Breakfast offers a wide choice of English and Continental treats. Would love to come back.

We have recently had our wedding at the hotel and I don’t think that One word can cover the whole experience but if I was to pick one it would be flawless from the moment we met our wedding coordinator Joanna nothing was every to much, after every interaction with her whether it was by email or in person we knew that the everything was taken care of enabling us to not have one worry or stress in the build up to our big day. Which went beyond what we could of dreamt of every final small detail we had discussed was done to an unbelievable standard and thank you to Pierre and the team on the day who enabled it all to go flawless, each room we had parts of our special day in were beyond what we could of dreamed off, and we can’t wait to see it all in the photographs. This exceptional service was also from every member we and all of guests came in contact with.
So thank you to all the team at The Bristol for ensuring our day / weekend was the one we could of wished for

Only half way through our stay and the hotel and service has been flawless. They have made us feel like we are the only guests in the hotel. I don't normally review places but just had to commend and thank the staff for the kindness and efforts. The room, service, food and facilities are excellent.

Had three stays at this wonderful hotel now — friendly staff, great location and excellent food. The only reason this is a four star review, rather than a five, is the last room we were given. In fairness, we had asked for a quiet one, so were placed at the top of the hotel, which was great. The room was spacious and very clean, but a little tired and in need of some modernisation. It didn't quite have all of the special little features like the Nespresso machine and fridge, and there was no thermostat (although it was a comfortable temperature anyway). We will definitely return, although perhaps requesting a room on the lower floors.

Stayed here a few times before always been lovely but this time was a total disappointment sat 17th February 18 booked 7 rooms for a birthday celebration and needed to cancel one room they charged me full price even though I was still having all other 6 rooms they were not that busy but still charged then the rooms this time were awful tiny and tiny bathroom! The car park is diabolical if you have a nice do not park here the entrance is so tight it’s unbelievable! Unfortunately won’t be going here again shame as it is normal a a brilliant hotel but this time was terrible and service and staff were a disappointing!

We had a wonderful stay at the Bristol Hotel and stayed in an accessible room (317) which was spacious, tastefully decorated, well equipped and most importantly accessible! Large, very comfortable bed. Temperature just right (which is unusual for a hotel room! ) Bathroom was a good size with a level floor into the shower — vital for a permanent wheelchair user. The sink, shower, toilet and mirrors were all at accessible heights (again a rarity in many 'disabled' rooms — shower seat is very small — at 6' 2" my partner found it was to narrow to use) We were very impressed at the cleanliness. Absolutely spotless in the room and throughout the hotel. Staff were helpful, friendly and pleasant without being overbearing. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the breakfast was delicious, plentiful and well cooked. We had room service breakfast as the only negative thing about the hotel was that if we had wanted to eat breakfast in the restaurant we would have had to go through the kitchens with the wheelchair because there are no ramps inside. The bar is also inaccessible to anyone with mobility problems but there are lovely seating areas at ground level and the staff are more than happy to serve you here. The hotel is in a perfect location by the harbour only a minute away from lots of bars, restaurants, cafes, things to do (aquarium, curiosity museum, tall ships, theatres etc etc. ).

Perfect hotel for a relaxing city break. Fab location. Lovely breakfast in restaurant overlooking tree lined quayside. All areas very clean and stylish. Parking free and totally hassle free. Staff were very friendly and professional. Will return and have already recommend it to friends.

Great sized room, and was given an upgrade on a Friday night which was very pleasant. Managed to get two travel cots in the room along with all the stuff which comes with traveling with kids. The bathroom was lovely if a little small. Bed was large but a sightly soft mattress for my taste. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Wonderful surroundings with lots to do. Would recommend a stay here.

Beautiful hotel and very comfortable nights stay. Lovely little touches in our room, excellent breakfast and very friendly, helpful hotel staff. Parking is easy, just next door in the multi storey car park, for a discounted price. Welcome drink on arrival and complimentary drink in lobby, all lovely touches. Pianist playing Christmas songs at breakfast. Beautiful view of the river and the hustle and bustle of Bristol and Millennium square.
Only reason I am giving 4*… bathroom size! Very tight! Difficult to get in and out of the shower and awkward to close/open bathroom door.
Really enjoyed our stay with you and we will certainly be returning in the future.

Great staff. Will return. Had an issue with a few things but ably managed by Brett who is a credit to customer care. Apparently our room had been off line for a few days meaning the temperature control on the bath/shower had stiffened up and bits of black "stuff" came out into the bath. Breakfast was also good due to the Host although unfortunately his name escapes me but also a credit to the Hotel. The lighting in room could be improved but along with the issues encountered we will definitely return.

Had the pre theatre menu before visiting the Hippodrome. Excellent meal despite obvious limited choice on this menu, but we should have left more time. Service was good, if a little slow if you are on limited time. We would definitely eat there again.

Very good service and friendly staff. The food was also delicious and the breakfast very tasteful. Super Staff Everywhere.

My wife and I had our wedding reception here recently, and we were extremely happy at how the day went. Staff were friendly and approachable, the food was wonderful and we were well looked after. Our event coordinator kept regular contact with us, especially the weeks and days leading up to our wedding. Nothing was too much trouble, even last minute changes to table plans and menu options were never an issue. If you are thinking of having a wedding reception or any event here I would highly recommend The Bristol Hotel.

I only visited the bar, the staff is very friendly. The place is very beautiful with a view of the river.

Went for SQL relay conference, rooms were in great condition. Seats were comfortable and great space when sessions were on break. Food provided was really good. Faculties clean and staff friendly. Would recommend.

Clean and tidy and well located with nice bar and eatery. I've stayed a few times (for work) in different rooms though and the beds are very soft. Do people really like soft beds, the sort that feel like you're going to roll off if you lie on one side?

We had dinner in the grill. The service was poor even though the ambience would indicate better. Food was average to awful. Our kids had fish and chips which is normally mauled but, suspiciously abandoned tonight — after a small taste it was clear the fish was grossly overcooked and virtually inedible.

Perhaps not the most modern or architecturally exciting hotel, but the room was spacious and clean. The view from my room over the back of the hotel was drab, but as it didn't have onto the main road, it was quiet. The breakfast was excellent, and a really nice dining room looking over the quayside. The location is great, and parking in the attached NCP carpark was included. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the free newspaper was much appreciated.

Worth the little bit extra it cost to stay here compared to a previous trip when I stayed in a nearby budget hotel. Surprisingly little more expenditure gets you a whole lot more in terms of service, room size, comfort, and overall luxury. Breakfast was also very enjoyable, and staff very attentive.

Good hotel. Great location. Public transport right out front and nightlife out back. Gokd restaurant. If it's nice weather go have breakfast across the bridge in the sun.

A very good hotel in my experience having stayed 3 times. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped, service is prompt and polite, I've been upgraded to a deluxe room the last two times I stayed and I really enjoy the breakfast, which was included in my room rate. The room I had included a Nespresso machine in addition to the tea / coffee options and Temple Spa toiletries. The only slight blemish was that they'd not retained my details from previous visits, so I had to supply them again.

Great service and fantastic staff. Lovely quality breakfast (buffet style) with loads of options. Nice views of docks and right in the middle of everywhere we want to be for a fun weekend visit. I would say however that if you need silence to sleep, and your booking is on a Saturday night, opt for the non river-facing side of the hotel. There are night clubs over the river and they are very loud. (this doesn't impact my review in any way, obviously it's not the hotel's fault! )

Stay here every time we come, tried other hotels but this place tops it for quality, consistency, and location. Would always advise!

Beautiful hotel! I have not slept in a room so I could tell you more, but you can hold Awards or ceremonies in which rooms are available for this purpose. The space is more than enough.

Great harbourside location with attentive friendly service. Rooms are very comfortable but some lack air conditioning, which is not ideal. The dining area has a fantastic view of the harbour and the passing life.

Great location for night life of Bristol. Staff are friendly and check in is efficient. Parking provided in multi-story car park next door. Rooms vary greatly… so be careful what you book. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and modern. I was given a tiny room which could only just fit the small bed (more a 3/4 than a double). No air con in rooms so gets stuffy and can't open the windows because it's so noisy outside. You need ear plugs even when the windows are closed.

I've booked the Hotel already two times. And I have always been very satisfied. To explore clean, quiet feeundliche staff and a great location to Bristol (i'm in love with this City). The Breakfast I had booked, since the prices are a little expensive. Cozy morning you can have Breakfast across the street from the Hotel at a fraction of the price.

Really nice, in the morning the breakfast is done on the banks of the river and is great, there are also many vegetarian and vegan choices. The room was clean and comfortable.

Stay here reasonably regularly for work, staff are always efficient and polite. Rooms are a good size and have everything you'd need. Location is good, a short walk to the city centre and convenient for the train station as well.

Modern and large room with Euro sockets. Bathroom could be bigger. Breakfast is very good. Staying there more often. Location is very good. No room to the street take.

Stayed here a couple of times on business and have to say it is a great hotel located smack bang on the middle of Bristol. Check-in is always a breeze and the rooms are very well furnished. The breakfast is lovely and the staff are always polite. Gym is pretty small and have used far better ones during my business travels. Park in the multi-storey attached to the hotel for a decent rate. Close to the waterfront and a lot of decent restaurants and bars.

A prime location to the harbourside with only a short walk into the centre of Bristol. The rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable; however views are a little hit and miss. 1 elevation over looks the river and all the trendy restaurants of the harbour, the other 3 are either looking at a side of a building or a road. The staff are all polite and helpful and more than willing to suggest some nice things to do locally. One small gripe is parking costs and extra 5 pound a day, and there's a further 5 pound charge to exit the car park more than once. However I recommend staying at the hotel for anyone going to Bristol.

Great hotel stayed many times and always had a great time at various sporting dinners.

The main downside was that the double bed was simply too small, I'm average height but my feet were hanging over the end which made it quite uncomfortable. Other than that the room itself was a bit small, nicely fitted out with desks and quite a nice bathroom with a big shower (no bath). Breakfast was pretty good. One of the two lifts was out of action which I note was problem for another traveler a year ago.

We had a great stay here over the NYE. The breakfast was a positive surprise, one of the best ones I had in a hotel in a long while: smoked salmon, cold cut meats, full English buffet, several yoghurts, smoothies, and great fresh breads. The rooms were nice, nothing super special but still great to sleep in.

Stayed in twin room lovely views of riverside, walking distance to everything. Room was good size very clean even had an AC unit.

The deluxe room with a king size bed was alright, but not special. Breakfast was very good, although their seating capacity is far too small. I got a table quickly, but some people had to wait 30+ minutes. The 'Sweet Retreat' package (marshmallows with melted chocolate and bottle of Sparkling Wine) isn't worth paying for — it's just 6 marshmallows on sticks and a small pot of chocolate. They have 2 small lifts (not suitable for a 6 floor hotel) and one of them was problematic (a customer said it had been 6 months ago! ). I informed a member of staff at reception about the lift and he acted surprised. Parking is at a public car park next door, which is handy — and free for guests.
