My wife went as part of a foursome this afternoon to sample Wincham Halls new venture of hosting afternoon teas. The food was plentiful, fresh, well presented and there was as much tea or coffee as you wanted. The staff were professional, attentive, helpful and friendly and the whole experience was calm and peaceful. Wincham Hall is a lovely building and the ambience is down to the staff and the management. After you have eaten there is always the outside patio and the grounds to enjoy a drink of whatever takes your fancy in. The Afternoon tea is brilliant and I hope it is a success for them and the whole experience was wonderful. Thank you.

The staff were brilliant, the location is outstanding, it's just a pity I couldn't say the same for the room we had, it was very out dated as were other parts of the hotel, it needs a lot of inward investment, the sticky plaster effect is just not doing it, please spend time and money and do it properly, it's a goldmine waiting to happen, but thanks for a great night.

A comfortable, independent hotel with great value accommodation. The venue has its own Wedding Chapel and a large function room.

When to a Wedding Fayre, not impressed with layout, rooms or staff.

Really expensive for soft drinks.

The beer was awfull. Watered down to the Point of no flavour whatsoever. Wife drinks non alcohol which again had no flavour or fizz. £5.40 for our drinks which we left and didn't drink anything for the rest of the evening. Management should be ashamed!

This is a lovely cosy hotel. We have been made most welcome and the service is superb. Just been walking in the grounds… most enjoyable.

Christmas party. Decent food, cheesy disco. No crackers, no coffee.

Pleasant hotel bit found it to be cold and musty. Rooms need some tlc.

Got married here last Saturday. From booking my wedding right through to getting married, everything was perfect. Staff were so helpful, helping me organize in the run up, then fab on the day. Wedding package was good value for money. Definitely recommended.

I came here for a wedding. The whole wedding package was fab and took the pressure off the brides. The staff organised the whole event really well and the venue was very pretty.

Set in country terrain. I had a pleasant couple of nights here. The rooms need a little updating but otherwise a good stay.

Having read the reviews on this hotel I was expecting the worse. Booked two rooms, 1 twin and 1 doubel with a z-bed for my 10 year old son. The double room, room 6, was not too bad, recently decorated with a comfortable bed and nice bed linen. Despite asking for a z-bed it was not in the room on arrival although this was rectified later. The bathroom was not great mainly due to only having a shower with a shower curtain which I felt needed a bit of attention. But overall not too bad — children complained there were only 5 channels on the TV but this I can live with!. My only other moan is that one side light in the bedroom needed a new bulb as did the one over the mirror in the bathroom. The one in the bathroom was rectified but the one by the bed was not. I have to say the staff are very friendly and when asked for things were very responsive. On a very positive note the cooked breakfast was lovely. Also we came back to the hotel just after midnight which was fine but were given a number to ring if we were going to be later than 1:00am. On a not so positive note my parents room, no. 9, was awful. The room was quite narrow and the beds at opposite sides of the room. It was really quite depressing. We did complain to the manager who did apologise and adjust our bill. Overll this could be a nice small hotel with nice gardens.
