Lovely meal lovely staff. Really enjoyed my visit. There's an outside area for when it's juice and plenty of parking. Gorgeous building tasteful decor. Would recommend.

We just called at hartford hall hartford Cheshire I ordered two pints of larger and two portions of chips and two pepercorn sauce there wasn't a lot of chips and what we got were quite soft and mushy the pepercorn sauce was very thin and tasteless I found this quite expensive for what we got it totalled just short of £18.00 the fox and barrel cotebrook is a lot better value for your money maybe we shouldn't venture elsewhere lesson learned.

Great food! The only place I have found to serve a true bleu steak. The goats cheese, pear and caramelised walnut salad with steak is a great dish and worth trying. We stayed the night also and the room was of high quality, if a little too warm — but may people prefer a warm room to a cold one. Would love to visit again.

Only had coffee and toast here for the first time so can't comment on other facilities that Hartford Hall offer. The service was prompt and friendly and the surroundings relaxing and comfortable. The coffee was good and the toast nicely done. Will go again.

Table of 8, all enjoyed the food. Was lovely apart from my pasta was slightly warm. Very good portion for the price. Looking through the menu found that the food was slightly different to other local pubs/restaurants which was lovely to see. Reasonable price for a double pink gin and lemonade as most places £10+ all in all would visit again.

Hartford Hall offers very affordable food. It is not a gastro pub, but offers classic pub food for those wishing to have a satisfying meal on a more limited budget. I had a very nice mixed grill for £16. The meat was cooked to my liking and was tender & tasty. My father had the classic fish & chips, my mother the cod loin which was a special. With a round if drinks the total bill was a tad over £50. Great value!

Amazing friendly place, staff are very welcoming and a nice assortment of drinks available whether you want a romantic drink for two or fancy a well earned drink after a hearty winter walk. Food is really nice too and reasonably priced.

Stayed here on business with a colleague. Although some earlier reviews were not great thought it worth a risk given alternative was a Travelodge, which though a fine chain is precisely that. Room was comfortable, though being in an annexe may have been an issue if it was raining. Food in the restaurant for dinner and especially breakfast was the highlight.

Good food and great service. Slight error with the order and bill but this was quickly rectified. I would recommend this place.

We went for a Sunday roast in the pub. The pub has a very nice interior and seats quite a lot of people. There is also a lovely outdoor beer garden. There was a good selection of the usual pub beverages and also a good selection of ales. The menu is appealing amd there was an appetising selection of specials to choose from. The food was very good in general apart from the meat on the roast, which was a little bit dry. However, the rest of the food was good enough that I'd go back again.

Very friendly staff and the place had character. We stayed in the Manor Suite as a family and slept just great. A few squeaky floorboards, but I think that adds to the character of the place. Will definitely stay again if we're in the area.

Great location just off the A556 at Northwich. We had a family gathering of 22 people and really couldn't fault the food or service. Nothing was too much trouble and the food we ate and witnessed being served from the kitchen was superb. Great value too… See you soon!

Very friendly atmosphere created by, recently renovated interior and great staff. Good selection of craft beers and other beverages. Great quality food in good portion sizes at reasonable prices. Nice outside space but children should be supervised due to nearby pond. Large, free, parking area and hotel rooms available.

Stayed in room 17. Was visiting a party nearby. Lovely quiet room, bottled water in the room. Nice shower over the bath. All clean. Reception staff very helpful — putting our bags in the room later so we could get to the party. Nice breakfast — plates could have been warmer but otherwise good.

Everything is good about the place apart from it is starting to look quite shabby in lots of places. In need of some TLC!

Great food and would go again.

Nice meal. Bar tender didn't understand that someone over 16 is allowed alchol with there meal when accompanied by an adult. Other than that it was a nice meal.

Good food lovely building.

I shared twin room which had very small beds which would be more suited to children. Several of party waited over 30 minutes for their breakfast and although I did not experience that wait, I would comment on the lack of tea and coffee. This is not provided to help yourself but is fetched by the staff, who were helpful and courteous but just too overwhelmed to offer adequate service to everybody. I was with a party of people from all over the UK who do not see each other that often and in the evening the bar was closed reasonably early by the bar staff who also refused to serve drinks to be taken back to our rooms. (they need reminding that they are in the hospitality industry) I have stayed in other places in the town and will do so on future visitis.

Would just like to say what a change stopped december 2011 and it was great enjoyed the party nights and had a lovely 3 course meal. This year we went and felt like I was putting everyone out rather than being a paying guest who is there to be looked after. It was not a great atmosphere as everyone felt greatly let down and we heard that the party nights had not been as successful this year. If you want to go and have a quiet drink then its great as you would be the only ones in there due to lack of attention to detail. The visible lack of cleaning staff and the overall feel of the place. not the best pub experience lovely building and many original features but such a let down.
