We just popped in on the off chance, staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food was out of this world. Would definitely be calling back soon and recommend this little gem of a place to everyone.

Ordered two take away meals tonight. Excellent service. I had chicken and mushroom with Stilton sauce, chips and vegetables. Tastiest sauce I've had in a long time. I would recommend this service to anyone. Use your local pub or lose it.

Went for New Year’s Eve 2019, was amazing, stayed overnight, room was lovely, food was amazing, staff were lovely nothing was to much trouble, will definitely be back x.

I organised a surprise birthday meal here for my partner. Martyn, the staff and the chef did an amazing job in helping me achieve this. There were 25 of us that pre ordered our meals for the occasion. Everything went smoothly. All the staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble and were all very friendly. At the end of our evening the chef came out to us. Fantastic evening. We would certainly go here again. Thank you to the Hollybush.

Lovely little traditional pub and restaurant. Tasty freshly cooked food including homemade chunky chips. Restaurant manager Carole lovely — very welcoming and full of humour.

Lovely welcome, extensive menu with some modern meals as well as traditional.
Plates were piping hot, as was the food.
The place was full yet service was quick and efficient.

I attended with my parents on Saturday 4th August and sat in their lovely garden, having lunch and a couple of drinks. The food was very good home cooked pub fayre at very reasonable prices. Service was friendly and attentive too. Well worth a look and with a bouncy castle and swings would be good for kids too.

The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. Worth ringing and booking. They have a lovely garden area with tables outside and swings and things for children to play on.

I've been sneaking in here for over 30yrs but since I was found out I've discovered the better half likes it too had some great chats in tap room over the years learning all kinds. A gem of a place.

I stayed on the night of Saturday 27th January, I was in room 9 which is like a lean to on an outbuilding. The room was clean and tidy although in need of updating furniture showing signs of extended use. The bed was a single bed and the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, it had a pronounced dip in the centre of the matteress. The next morning I went to the main building for breakfast at the back door there is a bell which I pressed and waited, nobody answered so I looked through the window and one of the cleaner ladies saw me and let me in. I went through to the reception area and was motioned towards two single tables in the reception area that had been laid for breakfast. I sat at one of the tables and was asked what I wanted for breakfast so I ordered a full english with tea and toast. While sitting waiting for my breakfast I became aware that I was sitting only a mattter of feet away from the ladies toilet that was in the process of being cleaned, the door was being opened and closed and the sound of buckets etc did not make for the most pleasant of atmosphere to enjoy my breakfast. My breakfast arrived and the cook was carrying the plate using a paper napkin as the plate was obviously hot, I started to eat my breakfast and realised that most of the items on the plate were either cold or barely warm except for the mushrooms which were very hot I felt the plate which was stone cold.

Been here several times. Always had a good meal here. Service is excellent.

Second time here, came and stayed in March 2016, the staff are the same and couldn't do enough for us, the food is top notch no complaints at all, love this place, I can highly recommend it.

Five stars is no where like adequate — one hundred and five would be more appropriate. We have been privileged to stay in some very special places over the years, and this one is right up there with the very best, perhaps it is the best — it’s certainly a priceless gem hidden away in rural Cheshire, yet in such close proximity to Warrington. Spotlessly clean, excellent food — menu catering for those requiring gluten free. Friendly, obliging staff, nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely overnight stay with friends. Rooms were a. Bit small, but clean and comfortable. Beds very comfy. Ate in the pub in the evening and the food was really nice and the prices very reasonable. Full English breakfast was perfect! The best thing about the Holly Bush Inn though, is the staff. Everyone is so warm, friendly and welcoming! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The location of this pub is great and the setting that it is in is lovely. The building itself is quaint from the exterior and has old styling inside. The beer garden is a good size and is peaceful, there's also a bouncy castle there for the kids. There was a small selection of ales, along with lagers and other usual beverages that you'd expect to find at a pub. The menu is usual pub type food but there is quite a lot of choice. Unfortunately, the food wasn't quite the standard that I was expecting and in part, lacked a little flavour.

I highly recommend Holly Bush. Great room, great breakfast, what more could you ask for? I was there a couple of years ago for a funeral close by. Everything was done very well and am looking into returning.

I have never been made to feel so welcome as I was when I stayed here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is to much trouble and you are made to feel as if they have known for you ever. The food is just to die for, the minted lamb just melted in your mouth it was soft and succulent. The steak was cooked perfectly and the way I like it. As for the breakfast just perfect! Now as for the room, it was spotless, it was warm and the bed was lush (Premier Inn eat your heart out). I will be making sure that when in this area, this is my first portal of call. Thank you to each and every member of staff, you are stars in your own right. See you all again soon

Quite a nice little pub, shame the mixed grill doesn't allow for anything other than well done steak, so not quite as home cooked as if have liked.

Been 3 times now all ways reserve a table much easier food great AAA++ as normal great staff will come back again.

This place was quite a surprise. There is a decent sized restaurant, a very large garden with plenty of tables and a lovely pokey little bar at the front. The accommodation was very comfortable and all the staff were charming. Compared to our neck of the woods, the prices were incredibly reasonable. Breakfast is filling and the mains old school all the way. If we find ourselves in that area again, then we will definitely stay here.
