Nice location opposite the sea bed was comfy but the carpets in the room was dirty there was no heating on in the room which was bad because near the window had damp wall got worse as it rained and part of the carpet was getting wet also not all staff were friendly but most were breakfast ok but not big rooms definitely need updating.

The staff was good and helpfull. Good beds!
The person who cleaned the room was doing a good job with a carpet that looked like a crimescene. The room was ment for four persons. Perfect for me and my wife… An elevator for two persons in a Hotel…

We were there for my 50th birthday, and we had fab rooms with great sea views and lovely breakfast in the morning, 24hr reception, definitely going back again.

Rooms tiny, ventilation poor (Windows hardly open) no cup in bathroom, staff lovely, tiny traditional breakfast.

A brilliant hotel, warm and friendly greeting and helped with our cases, would recommend staying here.

Perfect location opp sea front, close to all bars and shops. Super friendly and extremely helpful staff, 1 in particular their wonderful supervisor Salah who couldn’t of helped us anymore than he did! Nothing was too much, he went above and beyond to help us! He was brilliant! Will go back! You made our birthday girl Debs weekend thank you!

My Sister had her Wedding at Brighton Hotel in September 2018. We came from Australia to attend it. The staff there were friendly and attentive. The tables were set up beautifully, a dance floor was set up for later in the evening. The vows were done across the road at Brighton band stand and the Reception in the Hotel itself. The bar was open before and after the Reception. Both adults and children were made to feel welcome. The staff worked long hours and were up again in the morning, with the confetti cleaned up and all signs of the wedding cleaned up, tables ready and smiling attentive staff still at Breakfast. They also had allowed earlier check in for the rooms so guests could get ready for the reception. There was a large volume of guests and these staff obviously were used to organizing and management at this level.

Thin planed broken windows that don't close properly, reception manager who refuses to take responsibility for problems and instead sends security guards to threaten you because you've dared to complain multiple times, with nothing being done. Hallway leading up to reception smelling like a combination of damp laundry and raw sewerage. Breakfast food the next day was precooked, stale and inedible. It's 2018 folks, not the 1970s. Just not good enough and typical of the standard (or lack thereof) of many UK seaside towns. I was charged $210 AUD for my stay at this dive, I could get a 5 star hotel in my city in Australia for that price. Not good enough at all guys — knock the place down and rebuild, it's clearly not fit for purpose.

Currently at this hotel. The rooms are ok. Bathroom has a bit of a weird smell. Slightly dated. The worst part is the restaurant … sat down at 6.30pm ordered at 6.45pm … starters turned up about 30 minutes later only to be sent back 5 minutes later due to the inside of our croquette being freezing cold on the inside. Returned 15 minutes later hotter … mains turned up about half an hour later … I had the steak … chips warm warm but raw inside. Chunky chips should be crispy on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside. These instead tasted like a worn old mattress. The stake tasted like it had been cooked on a dirty old grill resulting in a disgusting burn taste. Peas were cold. And the tomato was cold and then on the bottom burnt which I didn’t find out until I had all ready put in to my mouth. The taste was disgusting. Resulting to a quick retreat to my room to relieve my stomach of its mixture of undercooked and burnt food … the only positive was the salad … I think after this tomorrow morning I’ll be avoiding the breakfast and getting down to one of the local cafes along the seafront. Also you need more than staff. Having one guy running the bar and running the restaurant is not acceptable the poor sod. Such a disappointment as this should be a beautiful place due to its location. Also be ready for an £18 charge for parking which is disgusting considering it’s on hotel grounds. Update … breakfast wasn’t to bad.

I have stayed here on two separate nights this week, in two different rooms, on business. Both rooms were singles.
Checking in/out. A nightmare on both occasions. Staff appear to have no knowledge of business bookings and expected me to physically have the booking card. Fortunately I print all paper work for bookings and can advise!
1st room — tiny. The only word for it.
2nd room — slightly larger but had a terrible damp smell.
Food: evening meal was lovely on Monday. Last night the restaurant was closed. Breakfast on Tuesday was awful. The egg wasn't cooked — snotty White bits, bacon tasted like a slap of salt, sausage tasted cheaper than cheap. Mushrooms? Very dried and came with a free lump of compost. Today's breakfast was cooked properly and mushrooms were compost free, however, it was a grease fest. Putting the fork in the sausage resulted in grease being squirted!
This hotel has one redeeming feature. The young lad that always appeared to be on duty — evenings in the bar and mornings in the restaurant. He was friendly and tried his best.
I have asked to not be booked in to this hotel again.

Didn't stay here but the hotel we were staying in recommend you for us to have dinner. Service was good and restaurant nice, there was another table of 2 in the restaurant who were eating their mains when we sat down. We waited 35 mins for our main meals (steak and pan fried chicken) we didn't mind waiting as we weren't in a rush, however when the food came out my vegetables, potatoes and sauce on the chicken dish were cold and so was my partners steak, not just cold but freezing cold! We spoke to the waitress who handled it well and was very understanding, we then waited a further 20 mins for our mains to come back, my chicken dish came out perfect and was delicious the steak however had been re heated so was well done rather than med/rare. By this point we were so hungry that we just ate it and didn't want to complain anymore, there was also a couple more tables in the restaurant at this point and I felt sorry for the waitress working by herself! When the bill came (£60) the waitress explained that she had taken 10% off our food, I hate complaining and I definitely don't expect anything for free but I felt embarrassed by the 10% knocked off after we had waited an hour to finally eat our meal and had brought quite a few drinks!

It was just OK, nothing special.

Coming from London, I was in this hotel for one night at march 14th and had room Very small lift only for 3 person without, or two person with luggage. Very thin walls, you could hear your neighbour in room beside yours snoring during the night. Also others can here you, if you are using the telephone or mobile phone. Walking in the corridor seems like walking on a ship, the floor in this fourth floor was unstabled under your feet. Room and bathroom were clean. I think this 4th floor was a former attic or was put on the top of the house in a later period :-) Breakfast was not so good. Toast or baguette were offered and everyone could cut the baguette taking it in his hand without a towel or a serviette, that's unhygienic. Was wondering that no cheese or any sausage was offered for breakfast, only butter, jam or honey for your toast or baguette. Coffee was given by the waitress from a thermos bottle and has not really deserved its name. Also apple or orange juice were offered and last but not least tea — from a thermos bottle. Had ordered smoked bacon with scrambled eggs and was very dissapointed in this. Never saw such light-toned eggs before. Eating bacon and eggs at McDonald's is the better choise. Had payed GBP 39, — by pre-order for my single room and had to pay GBP 7, 95 extra for the breakfast. Price for the room is ok, for breakfast not. Staff was friendly and I would come again, if I had to find a overnight accommodation for one day.

Nice hotel only a few minutes walk from the lanes, it's very definite character and lacks the cold hard sterile Travel Lodge flavour. Basic facilities but all clean and tidy and for £73 you can't go wrong. The lift was out of order when I stayed so I got a champagne breakfast for free, don't get that at Travel Lodge.

Booked this hotel for a long weekend. When we have visited Brighton previously we have stayed at the Queens which is a far better hotel but unfortunately fully booked for our recent stay. The Brighton Hotel (Best Western) is slightly cheaper than the Queens but is about a 15 minute walk from town. The room was spacious and ok although the bathroom was a bit 'spit and sawdust' in terms of the decor. Tiles had been painted over instead of replaced and the electric shower wasn't the best. The biggest let down was the breakfast which seemed to hark back to the 70s in terms of choice. I have become used to really nice buffet type affairs for breakfast and this hotel didn't deliver, for example, you had to choose between fruit and a cooked meal. You were not allowed both unless you were willing to pay a £5 supplement. The cooked meal included one very cheap and nasty sausage, a rasher of bacon, overcooked egg, beans, mushrooms and tomato. My partner selected some bread for toast which was covered in mould. This was unforgivable. The other big bugbear for us was the fact that tea and coffee was dispensed by the cupful. This meant that every time our cups became empty we had to summon a member of staff who would then have to go and get the tea/coffee pot thus making what should have been a very simple procedure a time consuming exercise. Overall our stay at this hotel was a bad experience and we shall not be returning.

Was expecting budget, but very budget hotel, which doesn't quite match the money I paid (£105 sat, £50 sun). The place is aesthetically pleasing, but needs some repairs and maintenance on closer inspection. Were small stains on towel and linen. Shower so tiny, warm not hot and very loud! Nice big towels though. Not very sound proof, could hear everything in the hallway and some of next door. Beachfront and sea views are nice but still a good 15min walk to the main parts of Brighton. Lobby bar was nice. Breakfast OK but ends 930 on weekdays which is a tad early. Its OK for price and compared to others in the area. But hopefully won't have to return.
