Had a wonderful stay here. Really friendly, helpful staff. Requested a vegan breakfast and it was delicious. Room was clean and comfortable. Great location, very close to sea front.

Pretty good location, short walk to the action. We had a cheaper room so it was really small, like really small… Place needs a bit of a facelift. Our door was lose on the hinges and needed messing with to close. Breakfast was good. Staff were great.

We had an excellent time here this weekend. The room was clean, smart and had everything we could need (including iron, ironing board and free sweet basket). The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely, we had the fruit with yogurt and full English. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Massive thumbs up after my stay last night. They made me and my pooch feel very welcome. The shower was hot and spacious, posh toiletries, extras in the room like sweets and crisps (space invaders anyone! ) and the breakfast was superb. Scrambled eggs beautifully creamy and farm sausages.

Defanatly a place to stay in Brighton, Lola and staff looked after us from the moment we arrived, offered free drinks and homemade cakes, shown to our lovely rooms which were clean, had quality linen, toiletries etc. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff, they know the area very well and gave us a local map with local eateries and pubs to visit Breakfast was included and cooked to order with a good selection and extra offered if required. With comparable prices to the drab travel lodge not too far up the road the Oriental is in a league of its own.

Owner cannot do enough to make sure you are happy. Honestly cannot fault it on any aspect. Quite luxurious touches such as lOccitane toiletries and an aromatherapy diffuser provided. Tea and coffee and drinks available free of charge should you want. Bit of a hidden treasure really. Best b&b I have ever stayed in.

Comfy room, lots of nice touches. Very strong breakfast offering! (see photos) – served in a funky bohemian-style parlour. Really well located, near the seafront etc. But in a quiet side street. Staff absolutely charming and helpful. Late check-in not a problem, picked up keys from Kings Hotel down on the seafront. Enjoyed the stay & will book again.

Great little find. Friendly small boutique style hotel — cosy twin room with very comfy beds. Lovely dining area with local art filling the walls and a very enjoyable breakfast. Perfect location by sea and short walk to town. Cannot fault this place on any level. Brilliant value for money and will definitely book here again! ❤

I can not rave about this hotel enough! Beautiful decor, amazing staff and 10/10 service throughout my stay. Will 100% be coming back on my next visit to Brighton, wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else!

The room was nice but on top floor with no lift so a steep climb. Good for leisure but not for business as breakfast is not served until 8 which was too late for us.

Absolutely loved this place, quirky and full of charm with a genuinely warm welcome for both me and my dog. Top floor suite was great and so many thoughtful touches like the sweet bowl, fan in the room, and great tips for dog owners on best beaches and pubs. Would definitely recommend and return, plus excellent dog friendly local the Lion and Lobster. Thanks Lola Leanne and Harry.

Can't fault rooms, both double and superior, I'm staying this week in a superior room with jacuzzi and decor lovely, v chic, basket of sweeties orvoided every day, every kind of tea you can imagine, coffee, hot chocolate. I'm at front of building and a lot of noise this evening due to people sitting outside on steps of various houses facing, drinking and causing a lot of noise. Person below me has a terrace and maybe be helpfull to put a notice in room to say if sitting outside on balcony show some consideration to others after a certain time. At time oF writing this I am on my fourth of seven night stay and have not managed an unbroken nights sleep. I have to say I have stayed here for 3 years running and noise and drinking outside has never been a problem before now. Staff are v v pleasent and v helpful and why we ret urn every year. My opinion, superior rooms at front are much noiser than standard but superior are bigger if you are a couple. Breakfast is to die for I'm not a breakfast person but I would bet they do the best bacon butty in Brighton. Don't be afraid to take any issues to Steven and staff as they will go out of their way to accommodate you. Am I booking for conference again next year YES.

What a fantastic place to stay for short place. I loved it. The staff were excellent and could not have done more to make me feel welcome. A massive thank you to the staff Steve, David and Suzie. Hopefully I will get to meet Lola when I next visit.

Just returned from a night stay at the oriental hotel and I cannot fault it. From the moment we arrived, which was way before check in, Lola was friendly and informative. She drew on a map places to shop, places to eat and places of interest. My partner thoroughly enjoyed her recommenation of eating at the chilli pickle. Our room was clean, and comfortable with added thoughtful extras that make it so much more than a chain hotel. Breakfast was delicious. 5 out of 5 for this place. It's so nice to rreceive great service. We will be back.

Had a great stay. Ideal location, great personal service and compy beds. We had a small issue in our room and were given a very generous discount on our stay. Would stay again.

Me, my sister and my parents stayed at the oriental for 7 days and I honestly can say it was one of the best "hotels" we've ever stayed in. It's located directly next to the sea and when you walk up the street in the other direction you'll find a lot of cute shops at the western Road. Everything else like the lanes or the shopping centre is within walking distance. It may not be the "cleanest" or poshest area of brighton but if you prefer to experience the city more "real" (don't know how to properly say it ;) ) than it's perfect. The breakfast menue isn't suuper huge or exotic but there is something for everyone and it's very delicious. Even I as a vegan ate a wonderful breakfast everyday. I will definitely come back whenever I get to go back to Brighton. Lots of love from germany.

We we're blessed with the weather, the room was fab (room4), and our balcony snugged us nice and close to each other with a table for our morning coffe. The shower was glorious, great décor through out! Cute little bar, very secure! Only a sort walk in to town! Will defiantly stay here again, and thanks for dressing up for Halloween ;) xxx.

LOVED our time there! We were greeted with such genuine hospitality and warmth that we knew right from the beginning our stay would be great. It almost feels like coming to visit long lost friends. Highly recommend staying at he Oriental Brighton … we'll be back! Much Love to all there …
