What a great inn and inn keepers. So very nice and helpful!

One night visit for a meeting. Nice people, clean room, decorated nicely. Without a doubt this will be my first choice when staying in the area.

Absolutely delightful! Very friendly owners. Wonderful bedrooms and a couple comfortable sitting rooms with 24/7 snacks and baked goods and a kettle. And the BREAKFAST! Oh my goodness. All gluten-free baked goods — absolutely delicious. It was a three course breakfast experience! Just a little gem within walking distance of downtown Shepherdstown. Fantastic!

Quiet place, hospitality, great breakfasts.

I could not enjoy being here more. (Unless my family were with me) The owners make you feel as if you are family. The level of service is very person-centered and I highly recommend you find out for yourself how amazing it is. Enjoy! Becca.

My college roommate and I spent the weekend at this lovely Inn. What a treat! The house is impeccable, the room just perfect. Spotlessly clean. So many amenities like chocolates, and amazingly soft sheets, and the most fragrant soaps. Breakfasts were fantastic! Baked pear. A perfect frittata. Scrumptious pumpkin muffins. And a smoothie to die for. And I ordinarily hate smoothies! The dishes were carefully decorated, the food hot and cooked to perfection, and the fruit flawless. The ingredients are largely locally sourced. Biscotti and cookies awaited us when we awoke before breakfast was served. But most importantly, the host was gracious, accommodating, helpful and a joy to talk to. It was just a perfect place to stay! Can't wait to come back again.

Historic, clean, comfy in in one of the sweetest little towns in West Virginia. I scored at five for several reasons: exceptionally clean, welfare cared for in, Sherry in the evenings, cookies and coffee in the afternoon, and an amazing and healthy breakfast. I don’t know that Lauren is always able to care for every specialized diet, but she took such care of me, and gave me one of the best breakfast of my life. The bed was super comfortable, not too firm, not too soft, and had really wonderful sheets, comforter, and pillows.

Easy to find. The staff was amazing ant the whole property was gorgeous. Will definitely be returning.

32 years ago my husband and I spent part of our honeymoon here, and recently returned for our anniversary. The hospitality, the breakfast, and the historic charm are first rate. They’re what memories are made of.

Love this inn and our hosts. First class accomodations and breakfasts. We stay here each July when we come to enjoy the CATF.

My husband and I were given a few nights here for our honeymoon from my Aunt & Uncle back in 2005. Was such a wonderful time and experience. Everyone was so kind and helpful and everything was clean and neat. The room we stayed in was beautiful and had its own large bathroom. Our first day there we were the only ones there so I walked around and checked out the rest of the house. It's such a beautiful place. Hope to get back one day. I really enjoyed the Strawberry Soup for breakfast and talk about it all the time! Thank you for making our Honeymoon so rememberable and amazing!

Just stayed 3 nights at this beautiful inn. It is so close and convenient to everything. You can walk to the downtown area in minutes. Very close to the Antietam battlefield too. The owner was very personable and accommodating. The breakfast was outstanding! If I ever traveled back this way I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you.

My husband and I just spent the weekend here. It was wonderful! The room was warm and inviting as were the hosts. The breakfast both mornings featured unique, delicious homemade, local sourced foods — — and plenty of good coffee and tea. There was always tea and cookies and fresh water. Our hosts suggested sites and restaurants that were excellent. This was our first time to Shepherdstown and I guarantee we will come back to the B&B again.

Loved it. Lauren and Dave are great hosts and the house and area are wonderful. Every amenity is available, and local attractions are plentiful. Although we arrived during a heat wave, the entire inn was always very comfortabley cool. Breakfasts were fantastic.

A most relaxing weekend. Just as good as I had remembered. Lauren and Dave are the new owners and very personable and helpful. Breakfast was the best. I particularly liked the savory one (as did my husband) but he liked the oatmeal. Water for hot beverages always available as are snacks. Very comfortable front room. Library available upstairs which just seems to draw you. Rooms clean and well kept. Staff who help Lauren are friendly and do an excellent job. Place to go and do nothing but relax or get out and discover the history in the area.

I last had the pleasure of spending time at the Thomas Shepherd Inn over 15 years ago and discovered from Lauren that she and Dave purchased the Inn last year. From my conversation with Lauren this afternoon I have given the inn a FIVE STAR RATING in advance as I am confident our stay at the Inn next week will be every bit as marvelous as it has been in the past. Can't wait to enjoy a bit of much-needed "mental health" time with Dave and Lauren! Thank you.

My husband and I just spent a fantastic night (wish we could have stayed longer! ) at the Thomas Shepherd Inn. Everything was lovely. We like being able to just walk five minutes down the road to a wonderful dinner. This little cozy town has everything you need for a great getaway, and Jeannie and Jim are super innkeepers.

Thomas Shepherd Inn is my top choice when I visit Shepherdstown WV. The location is perfect to walk to the theater, shops and restaurants. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, yet allow privacy and space. The perfect combination for a perfect stay! Breakfast was homemade and delicious. Jeanne uses fresh fruit and local ingredients, which we appreciate! I would stay there again if ever in the area, and I recommend them to you.
