Always a good experience at the Clarion… good management.

We live locally and socialize there weekly. Food at the Rumsey is pretty good but steadily increasing in price and decreasing in size. We can’t really complain since everything else is so wonderful. Wait staff there are FABULOUS!

It is at a quiet location; maybe a little too quiet because I passed its entrance to the parking lot/hotel. The property is not visible from the road leading to its facility. Every singlw laundry room (3-4) was closed for one reason or another. And no indication on whether the facility is trying to resolve the issue or not. Other than that, it seems to be a good facility.

The Thanksgiving Dinner at the Clarion Hotel/Ramsey Tavern was very well done. It was fairly busy and they were still able to keep bringing fresh food out. The food was very delicious and we would definitely go again.

This hotel is clean and well maintained as you would expect of any Clarion, but this location has 2 drawbacks which cause me to lower my rating. Service in the restaurant is slow, regardless of what is ordered or time of day, and fully half of the parking spaces are reserved 24/7 for a client that rents office and meeting space in the hotel, which can present problems parking, depending on the number of other guests.

A nice solid hotel, with gym, basketball court, outdoor pool & hot tub. They had karaoke while I was there and seem to have bar events regularly. The food, tho… they have ONE restaurant, with two different seating areas, not open at the same times. Largely same menu. The website is not accurate about food options or hours. Ask a human.

I had my wedding here! Everything was amazing! Jenifer is phenomenal! Food was to die for! My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the building and rooms do need some updating. I love the Clarion though and highly recommend it to anyone!

I was there for a work event. I will say that the hotel and the ballroom were very nice and clean. The food was delicious.

Great location tucked away in beautiful Shepherdstown. Attended a wedding reception there and the service was top notch all the way.

Service is good, but the rooms are really… REALLY dingy… The walls in my room seriously look like a bunch of clowns forgot their makeup remover and decided to use the walls to take it all off… Stains all over. Couldn't you bleach that easily, or toss some paint up? And the carpeting looks like a million dogs did that weird butthole drag all over them… Weird stains and spots galore… Gross. Beds decently comfortable. Gym is very nice. Pool looks nice but I didn't get to use it. Restaurant overpriced, way better food downtown. Shuttle service downtown is nice, but it's barely a 15 minute walk, so I recommend just walking if you stay here. Staff is all very nice!

The rooms are large and spacious. The hot is set in a nice location. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean.

Perfectly fine stay. Reasonable price. Bed was pretty comfy.

Always great place to hold EASTERN PANHANDLE Education classes. Good food and good service.

We stayed one night! The staff are very courteous, the room is well equipped and very clean, the bed very comfortable!

Best hotel ever. I love the decor and the fitness center is awesome. Every time I visit West Virginia I would definitely stay in this hotel. Everything about this hotel I love.

Nice room for the price. My only issue was an event that happened took up all of the parking one of the evenings we were there. Had a long walk back to our room after squeezing into a spot at the edge of the lot.

It was around 2am when I finally made it to the hotel. Since I didn't get in till late, I ended up sleeping until about 2:30pm. Most hotels I stay at will call all the rooms at checkout time and make sure everyone is out. This hotel didn't do that, and they didn't rush me out the door at all! The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were very nice!

Was here for new years celebration. From what I can tell, it is a very nice place! The restaurants are great, staff is friendly, and the place was clean. It is set in a small town and off a secondary road, so ease of access and visibility are its downfalls. But 3 out of 5 ain't bad!

Went for the Thanksgiving Dinner/Buffet meal. Rather crowded, but that was expected. Were seated quickly (you need reservations, and are given a time). Lines went quickly, food was plentiful. Food quality was good but there didn't seem to be the variety that there has been in the past, and the girls commented on the quality not being quite there either as it has been. Have gone the last few years — not sure if we'll go next year or not.

Good food at the Clarion conference center, we go on certain holidays for the buffet. This year we attended a Thanksgiving brunch with turkey, steak, salmon, salads and very good sides and desserts. It's pretty reasonably priced and the service is quick and polite. Ballroom is older but tasteful.

Decorated well and well priced, the rooms and food are a little lack luster. The staff is extremely nice. There is some history here I'm not fully aware of, and there is a wall of celebrity photos and autographs that's pretty cool. Bar was extremely well priced for drinks and had a good atmosphere.

Really bad. I had to go downstairs and get new pillowcases because mine had boogers and hair on them. The room was run down and the air conditioner barely worked while the sun was out. The refrigerator didn't close all the way and there was a gap at the top. There was a giant burn or stain in the carpet as you enter the room. The walls were marked up and dirty as well. On the good side, the bathroom was really big and they have lots of amenities. I wouldn't stay here again, even if my company tries to send me here.

When you pull up to the building, all the prime parking at the front of the building I s reserved for their employees. Guest parking is very far away. When we walked into the lobby, the concierge stared at her computer screen, ignored us and acted like she hoped we wouldn’t bother her. When I walked into the room, the light switch didn’t work and I had to fumble around in the dark to find a lamp. The walls are beat up and need painted. The shower has mildew throughout. There is grime on all the doors around the doorknobs. The pillows are strangely miniaturized and awkward. The overall attitude of their staff is inhospitable.

We come here for dinner and trivia every 3rd Tuesday The food is good. American fare. Prices are reasonable. Service is good with friendly staff.

The hotel is fine. A little outdated. The restaurant sucks, poor service and over priced food. Crappy beer. Really nice gym.

Internet here is completely useless. Ran out of Do Not Disturb tags for the doors. Requested no housekeeping with front desk. Still received housekeeping daily. Rude when calling front desk.

Needs a little renovating, but the staff was attentive and helped out quickly when I had some issues. Overall a nice place to stay in Shepardstown, WV.

Stopped in for a quick bite and a drink. Enjoyed it. Jose's Quesadilla with Chicken was brilliant.

Nothing too redeeming about this place except that Wall of Famous People. Saw Mr. Clean amongst the photos, thought that was cool. The Wi-Fi here is terrible, slow speed. And there is barely any phone signal in the building.

I truly do not understand the good reviews of this hotel. First of all, the red bed spread and blanket underneath are washed on a "as needed" basis! The bed spread and blanket! That is disgusting! When I stayed there last time there was a white bodily fluid mark down the side of the red bedspread. When I asked for a clean one they stated they had to wash one first. Seriously? Not one extra clean bedspread? I went and bought my own comforter from Marshall's. The room is extremely outdated and needs a deep cleaning. The breakfast bar in the morning has scrambled eggs surrounded by some sort of egg juice. It is absolutely disgusting and I will never stay there again.

Reasonably priced. But needs updating. The pool is handy but stark. It needs more umbrellas. It is designed for off site conferences. Buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing but the service was good.

Decent hotel if a bit dated. Decent bar food and a run of the mill breakfast. Good comfortable beds and ice cold AC and very reasonable rates.

Nice place to attend for training. The Rumsey Tavern has $1.50 Bud light and karaoke. Good enough for me.

The service at Clarion was very considerate and accommodating. The rooms were ready upon arrival and were very well kept.

The Rumsey tavern is an enjoyable spot for family friendly karaoke. It would be nice if they offered more vegan food options as well as more options for individuals with food allergies, such as soy.

It was very clean and big rooms. All the staff I met during the event were very professional and nice.

Excellent location for conferences or professional events. Additionally they have a good bar on-site for social events.

Very nice location. Great little town. I didn't stay long but it was nice when I was there. The rooms weren't huge but you really can't expect much.
