Room was nice and clean. We had a great time in the indoor pool and hot tub. Staff was very friendly and courteous, both in the evening and the next morning at breakfast.

Just visited some people staying there. Seemed like a nice hotel, had a bed and a pullout couch. Vending machine on the floor didn't work. Had a pool and hot tub. Not bad if it's cheap.

Staff was accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Would have liked a better continental breakfast selection. But overall good place to stay.

This hotel only gets one star because I can't give it 0 and the front desk staff is nice. However, when calling in they are difficult to get ahold of but when you do finally reach them over the phone and when you check in they are pleasant to deal with. The hotel itself isn't an issue unless you have even remotely rude people on your hall because the walls of this hotel are about as sound proof as a bed sheet. You hear every word of conversation, every TV show they are watching, and every step they take. It sounded like they were doing karate until 01:30 in the morning. Then if someone knocks on any door on your hall you'll think it's someone knocking on your door. I have no idea why this place is rated so high by others. Worst sleep ever and that's only if you can get some sleep. Their continental breakfast is very limited and they don't have any meat or eggs at all. Spend a few dollars more and stay elsewhere you'll be much happier for it.

Wasn't aware when we booked the room that it only had a shower and no tub. Only tubs in some handicap rooms. Walls are thin so we heard the TV in the adjoining room until 2:30 am. Checked out a day early and most likely will never stay there again. Had there been a tub and been quiet at night it would have been a good location to stay but just wasn't the case.

Clean place and friendly staff. Accommodating to guest visitors at the indoor pool, that's always been a plus at a hotel to my family. Just be respectful. Can't comment on the overnight experience but the rooms were clean and had all your typical amenities and there was some effort put into style in the decor as well.

The staff some of the Best people ever! I highly recommend this hotel for comfort and peace. The owner is kind and thoughtful. Best stay ever. Thank you everyone who's made my stay so wonderful! Respectfully and blessings Anna F.

We had a great stay. The pool was nice and our kids had fun there. It was right next to the mall which was convenient. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.

This hotel was reasonable in price. It's is a bit older but clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. We had quite a bit of trouble with the cable TV, it kept pixilating. We called down to front desk, Phyllis from front desk came promptly to troubleshoot the issue but needed Mike to come change out a cable cord. That was done and basically fixed the problem. The pool was clean but cold, the jacuzzi tub was great and just the right temp. The breakfast was a carb loaders heaven, no protein offered with the exception of yogurt.

Great budget hotel. The rooms were cozy, clean, and comfortable, and renovated. Very nice, helpful staff. There's breakfast, pretty basic, but good if you want something quick and free.

The core bonus begins with the Managers/Owners. Awesome humble people very aware yet nonjudgmental. I had a car accident. Could drive no further. Kind accommodating clean and quiet. Just choose this Howard Johnson in Vancouver you will not be disappointed. Awesome free breakfast each morning. And complimentary coffee available all day. Enjoy your stay~

Rooms were clean and kept up well. It was a nice quiet hotel with friendly staff. Hotel has a pool and hot tub. There was a towel rack to dry off with. Hotel offers breakfast and coffee in the morning.

With the low rates, and mixed reviews I didn't expect much, however I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are clean, and cute. They have an updated look with a retro feel. The decor isn't as stale as other 'budget' hotels. The amenities in the room include a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, alarm clock (I've stayed in places without them), and an iron and ironing board. The toiletries in the room include shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The breakfast was better than a Roadway. It included waffles, fruit, cereal, bagels, yogurt, juice, and I feel like there may be one thing I am missing. Phyllis (I hope I spelled that correctly), who was working the evening of Dec 11th was great, not only was she personable, she was considerate of myself and the other guest. I came in with my husband, and my 4 year old, she usually puts children on the ground floor, but didn't have anything. She made sure there wouldn't be anyone in the room below ours, and put us right across from the elevator (we used the stairs), but it was a very thoughtful gesture. She understands that little people love to run. The only real complaint I ha e is the last k of additional toiletries. I asked for a toothbrush, then later a comb they provide neither. I would definitely recommend this hotel at 65$.

Disgusting hotel. I walked into my room, turned into the bathroom, and found a bug crawling on the wall. The room itself smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in 2 years. Beds were like prison quality. Almost like sleeping on a concrete slab. And they smelled terrible I left after 4 hours because I could feel bed bugs crawling everywhere. I only have it one star because the front desk staff was nice. When I checked out and told the guy it was disgusting he said "right, right". This is a 40 dollar a night tops cheap motel.

This is a surprisingly nice, clean older hotel. Our room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable with lots of pillows on the beds. There was a wardrobe, a desk, a small fridge and microwave, a chair, and 2 beds, and it still didn't feel crowded. The hotel provided a crib for my infant at no charge (many places charge $25). Phyllis was working the front desk when we checked in, and she was so friendly. She graciously offered to relocate us to a room next door to my parents' room. We also had the pleasure of meeting Trish who was putting away breakfast the next morning. She offered my girls a piece of fruit for a snack to eat later. These kinds of interactions are the definition of good hospitality, and are what make an otherwise ordinary hotel experience into a really great one. I will be looking for a Howard Johnson the next time I need a place to stay largely because of these two wonderful ladies, and the other people who are doing a wonderful job of cleaning and maintaining this place.

Clean, pleasant, good breakfast. We requested a roll away bed but it was so uncomfortable it couldn't be used. One person had to sleep on the floor for two nights because it was more comfortable than the roll away. When we asked if they had a better one we were told he couldn't leave the front desk because he was the only one there.

I checked into the hotel for the day and it was fine. I checked out and gave them the keys. They didn't give me a printed receipt and I didn't ask for it. I found out why later. The added a $170 damage fee for a towel rack being ripped off the wall. The only rip off was the charge. When I challenged them they basically said I was lying. They finally backed off and refunded $100, but not the total. I am not done with these scam artists, but beware of this hotel. I think there location is not a good one and they must be losing money. To make up this they are ripping patrons off. My next step is small claims court.

The rooms were clean and organized. Good quality. Fridge. Mircowave, Shower, and the, Closet were all clean. Soft towels and helpful friendly staff. Breakfast was average. Overall a great nights stay.

If you're wanting some eggs or sausage with your breakfast you won't find it here. Cereal, waffles, and bread is all you get to choose from with a selection of fruit and yogurt. No low sugar or sugar free options available either. The staff was okay. Not warm and inviting but not completely rude either. The room did feel clean and the beds aren't bad. Didn't have any problems. However, there's no microwave and no refrigerator in the rooms. The pool does stay open until midnight which was a plus.

First, I just want to say that the Front Desk employees are great! They were very sweet and helpful; however, our room experience was not great. Our first room had mold in the shower and windowsill and there were also ants in the windowsill as well. When I told the Front Desk, she was very nice and upgraded our room so the hotel is not lacking in customer service. Our next room was cleaner but it did have mold as well, wall damage and the fire alarm wasn't installed correctly. I do have pictures to back up my claims if needed. Also, a $200 deposit on a $70 room is a little outrageous! We stayed there because the room was a good price. I am leaving a 3 star review solely based on the customer service that received. I want to say thank you to wonderful ladies at the Front Desk!

Horrible. Dirty, outdated rooms. The WORST customer service… UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE! Do yourself a favor and book yourself at the Days Inn across the parking lot… they're great!

Very nice hotel clean beds were so comfy & rooms were clean! Free breakfast was great also!

Room smelled musky, hottub was bath warm and jets didnt work. Lots of people hanging out outside the hotel.

Immediately we were concerned about this place after walking in. It felt dirty and neglected by the owners. Many things were broken and in disarray. We just needed a place for two nights before we moved to town so thought we could make it OK. We were wrong. The headboard had drip marks of some unknown fluid on it, every surface had food or unknown residue, and the pillows had to be at least 10 years old. They were just lumps of cotton balls, no longer a solid pillow. The sheets were old and worn through, and while they smelled clean and washed, that was the most redeeming part of the room. The next morning we saw the breakfast was serving food well past it's printed expiration date, and found flea bites on our legs. We didn't know if it was from our rental car or the room so we took the car back the next day and discovered we were the first to rent the car (it had 6 miles on it from being driven on and off the truck). Definitely the room. We had already checked out, so went back to explain the state of the room, and were told that since we did not complain while we were staying there was nothing they could do. Everything was gross. We have never stayed at a Howard Johnson before and never will again if this is how their hotels are managed. P. S. I don't blame the front desk, they were nice and this was out of their hands. But no front desk service is worth the treatment we now have to give all our luggage and belongings to get rid of fleas.

The room was very comfortable, except for the lack of pool.

It was great. Tech nine was staying there when I was there. Very cool. Hot tub and pool were a plus as well. Breakfast could be a little better.

The neighbors were noisy and the shower was dirty. Contacted the management and they gave a partial refund.

We've stayed at this hotel before but this last time will definitely be our last. Our room was a bit messy, the beds were messy. I had to open the window because it had a slight smell. The mini-fridge was plugged in but didn't work & when we got there, we quickly threw in food & drinks & took our kids to the pool. We didn't realize the mini-fridge wasn't working until the next morning, all our food went bad. The hotel did nothing about that. The shower & bathroom looked dingy & the water pressure was terrible but at least there was no shortage of hot water. The door to our room didn't close unless you pushed really hard. The breakfast was lame. Not much to chose from & not good quality. We went out for food. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Came from out of town on business 1st Stained and dirty bed linen, towels smelled like a dog, heater smelled like it was catching fire alot of ruff raff people hanging around difficult to find parking to wake up next day and both sides of my Mercedes was scratch from doors opening into them which I blame on the little parking they offer and the in and out traffic all night and since we where from out of town and here just on business didn't know until after all this that it's considered a drug hotel by the local businesses as a business man I am asking all of you stay away from this hotel seems more like a homeless shelter and or brothel if you have any respect for yourself or the ones with you stay away from this establishment please and almost forgot my wife and I witnessed housekeeping not changing the linens only remaking the beds after they had been slept in by other guest to me it is disgusting and wrong and dirty.

The reason way I gave it a 1 star is because they don't have a zero. There was tape on the smoke detectors and people have smoked in the rooms and the doors don't close all the way. After being told our three dogs were fine and staying all week, on the last night the owner said we could only have one dog per room. He kicked us out and accused us of not telling him about the dogs. I would never say at this hotel again.

Probably one of the dirtiest places that I have ever stayed at. The bathroom was full of mold and smelled so bad of urine that even with the door closed, it was hard to go to sleep! The receptionist were kind, which was good. This place needs a MAJOR CLEANING.

The breakfast was sooooo good! and all the staffs are friendly, I highly recommend this hotel S2.

Breakfast was a joke. Stale bagels, a small bowl of melon that was empty in minutes and never re-filled, frozen pancakes, and some tiny apples and bananas. The juice came out of the juice machine still fully concentrated and warm, had not been watered down. The coffee was the worst, very weak and no flavor. The clientele they attracted made me think a circus train had just arrived out front, and when we went to the pool the inspector was there. She tested the water and immediately asked us to get out of the pool, because she had to close it. I asked about it and she said, there was NO chlorine/disinfectant of any kind in the water. Gross. They do not take care of this hotel and charge way too much for what you're getting and the area you're in.

The good thing is the staff was friendly the rest not so good. The breakfast had no selection and the coffee sucked. The room was dirty and the pillows and sheets smelled like chemicals. The couch had stains on it every where and the shower door was so nasty you couldn't see through it. I will not stay at one again.

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and would recommend them highly. They are clean and friendly. They have an indoor pool and allow pets, and have free Wi-Fi, as well as free breakfast. What more could you ask for.
