The Hilton Garden Inn was a great stop for our group. The overnight front desk attendant went above and beyond to make sure our van was safe and parked under a security camera. As a touring band this type of kindness and understanding while parking our vehicle is next level and we appreciate it so much! Thank you! The rooms were clean and the workout area was large with free weights, two treadmills, an elliptical, and plenty of space to stretch and do yoga. We would pick to stay here again.

Under small scale reno but headed in the right direction. Near the airport and Starbucks on the corner. Restaurant food is good and staff is nice.

Yet another wonderful Hilton property. Staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. Rooms cleaned to even the highest level of scrutiny. Food was exceptional.

I am a breastfeeding mom and was attending a local training held at the Hilton for nearly a full week. There was another breastfeeding mom attending the same training and when we asked where we could go to privately pump, we were told to use the public restroom that only had one outlet right by the sink. Our instructor was not happy with that accommodation and requested we get a private area to take care of our needs. We were then given a dirty (recently checked out) room to accommodate us. We were confused and wondered if this room was given to us by mistake because of how dirty it was. When we asked the hotel staff about it we were told that this is how they could accommodate our needs. This went on for all 4 days we were there. If you are an employer and need to have meetings or conferences, I would reconsider and go to a different hotel.

Great hotel — good for park and fly. Good dinner food at their in hotel restaurant. Only reason for 4 stars was a fluke happening — while I had my vehicle parked on their site (they said park anywhere) — when I returned from Alaska, my vehicle was not there. I saw that it had been moved (towed, obviously since they didn't have the keys) to the back where I know I didn't park it. I contacted the manager who apologized profusely and said they had scheduled the parking lot resurfacing but when they arrived to work the pavers had started moving cars. She resolved the issue with me after telling me how sorry she was. I had also written to Hilton Corporate — I got a phone call and an email about this situation. I feel that Hilton really tries to make things right when it comes to situations like this and I appreciated that. I would stay here again.

Convenient to the Portland airport and clean hotel. The staff is friendly, rooms are clean and the shuttle runs 24 hours a day. The cost is also reasonable and we usually stay there when in Portland.

Nice quiet location and great standard rooms. Nothing fancy but just everything I need for my business travel. Definitely a preferred hotel.

We are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn for a basketball tournament this weekend. The room is nice but the refrigerator was dirty. We informed the front desk, and although they came and clean it up. We had to go to the store to get cleaning agents so as to disinfect the room.

Quiet and comfortable with a decent restaurant /sports bar in walking distance.

I went there for an event. The staff was helpful but also unobtrusive to the presentation. Polite staff.

Clean rooms and a great staff. Totally recommend this hotel. Added bonus Starbucks is a block away.

Room was very nice, clean & stocked. My room was not very soundproof. Nice having Panty area in lobby.

Attended a day-long seminar here. The meeting space itself was reasonably well-appointed, but the hallway leading from the front door to the meeting space is cramped and not easy to find. I have no idea about their guestroom accommodations, but this venue is not ideal if your meeting will have any more than twenty attendees.

This hotel is very nice. We are repeat customers. Room are always clean and well kept up. Staff are pleasant and very helpful.

Great facility not far from the airport. Has a shuttle service available. Indoor pool and great service in the restaurant. Right across from the Danner Boot outlet store!

The Manager Diane was so helpful! I booked a room for my parents' 10 Yr Wedding Anniversary. Diane offered to give them complimentary breakfast vouchers, sparkling cider, and free long-term parking! Seriously the best service. Thank you!

I have stayed here once a quarter for the last few years for a week at a time. The service is above average. I enjoy the evening dinner service better than the morning which is just a buffet (no menu). The folks pouring coffee are not particularly outgoing where the evening wait staff are. The rooms are decent size and comfortable… never an issue. Will return.

The rooms are identical to every other Hilton, and clean. The breakfast buffet was bad; the eggs, sausage, and bacon were gone by 8:15. The oatmeal was dry. The one or two people who were manning the buffet were overworked. The location is bad. Three fast food places, a Chinese restaurant, and a marijuana shop in walking distance. (Hey, it's Oregon. Don't smoke in the rooms. )

It's a great hotel inside. I would love to see them fix the digital key app to allow more than one guest to use the key. The proximity card is much faster.

Staff was always helpful, room was nice and clean. Had an issue with the pillows going down a seem in the headboard, not an issue with the hotel just the design of the bed. Located relatively close to food and gas, although the location is heavily affected by rush hour traffic.

Typical Garden Inn, but that's a compliment. Only stayed here one night for business, but the rooms were clean and comfortable, and it is extremely convenient to the airport (only 5 minutes away) and with easy access to nearby attractions and downtown Portland.

I was staying here for a business trip. The hotel is located very close to the airport which makes it convenient. The staff was very friendly and professional. When the airport mixed up my luggage, the staff was willing to hold it for me and promptly notify me when it arrived. They also have a very nice breakfast buffet which you can do all you can eat or a la carte. The room itself was very spacious and clean. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Attended a baby shower in one of the conference rooms. The hotel was clean, well-kept, and staff was very friendly and quick to point us in the right direction. Their coffee stand up front was all nicely stocked, hot chocolate for my daughter, coffee with to-go cups and lids. They also had sugar alternatives of different types available for those that can't do sugar. Nicely updated inside.

This Hilton Hotel is conveniently located to nearby dining, both fast and table cloth as well as shopping and a Starbucks around the corner. The airport and vehicle rental locations are also within a short distance allowing for a quick return for a flight. Costco and 7-11 gas stations are also nearby for rental car refills.

This was perfect for us because it was so close to the airport. Wasn't a bad stay the only thing I could say is I was kinda upset with the restaurant not being open on the weekends. Even tho the menu in the room says it is. Luckily there is a great place in walking distance.

Clean room, staff is super friendly and helpful! Breakfast was good. A bit loud in the room from the traffic and planes, but with the AC fan and TV, it's tolerable.

2am Airport shuttle (transportation to and from the airport, every 30 minutes in the morning, and at any time if you book with the hotel reception). $10 breakfast buffet, includes omelette and drinks. Excellent customer service. Amethyst and Hassan attended us very well.

This is a franchise and corporate Hilton does not have much authority. That is probably the reason for the lackadaisical response from the hotel's customer service people and management. There were two charges to my card, one charge was for the price of the room with a security deposit. The second charge was for the price of the room. They were made on different days. I have a screenshot of this. They were supposed to cancel one charge out and keep the actual charge. They chose to wait for the bank to cancel. That meant 1) my money was being held captive and 2) the hotel wasn't pro-active in canceling a charge, they just let the charge fall off. What was really frustrating is how the management repeatedly commented on not understanding how it worked. I understand completely how it works. They were lazy or they were trying to hold onto my money for a little longer. How they could have avoided this in depth review would have been to not treat me like I didn't understand and take responsibility. They talked in a nice voice, but their words were condescending. I am going to contact agencies, like Oregon Tourism, and write reviews. They have responded to another review on TripAdvisor about my "not understanding" how charging works. I do understand. They charged me twice, once for the full price of the room, and then the full price of the room with security deposit. They didn't cancel the one charge, instead, allowing my bank to let it fall off.

Very nice hotel, pool & hottub ate great! Staff is wonderful.

Room was clean and well stocked. Lobby had complimentary water, tea, coffee, and snacks available at all hours. Breakfast was delicious. Close to the airport with frequent shuttle service. Staff was friendly and accommodating at all hours.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, what more can you ask for? Hotel is not too dated and the various facilities were well maintained. Didn't get a chance to try the breakfast but it did look good.

Rooms were shockingly quiet. I didn't hear any planes or other guests all night. And the hotel is very conveniently located for getting quickly to or from the airport. Just what I needed for a single night stay close to the airport.

Traffic noise and airport noise is truly terrible. The restaurant staff is fantastic, but doesn't make up for the noisy hotel. While part of it is location (I get it, right by the airport), I just would not recommend because of noise from traffic. In addition, by far the hardest (way past firm) mattress I've experienced anywhere, not just a hotel. Overall decor is lovely — hotel feels just like a Courtyard.

Although the location of Hilton Garden Inn Portland Airport is convenient in proximity to the Portland International Airport, the service I experienced, at all levels, was distasteful. Typically there are three things I look for prior to making a hotel reservation: location, cleanliness and price. This hotel met my typical three requirements, it was in a convenient location, it was clean and the price was reflectively inexpensive. As a pretty low-maintenance individual, previously, service didn't rate top priority for me. While staying at the hotel, I wouldn't say that I was displeased by the minimal service I received, but following my stay, an unauthorized fee of $250 was charged in addition to my reservation fees. When calling to question and dispute this additional charge, I was informed that it was for smoking in a non-smoking room. Despite the fact that no smoking took place within the room during my stay and that I had not authorized the fee, they refused reimbursement. In addition, during the dispute process, I was given the run around and I was not treated in a professional manner by front desk associates and management. In fact, they were quite rude, to say the least. Hilton Garden Inn claims to offer their guests a Satisfaction Promise/Guarantee, yet in my case they failed to follow through with that promise.

Great service and Hotel roons has been redone. Right next to Portland Airport, highly recommend.

Pretty sad for a hilton garden inn. First room was a non-smoking room but smelled of smoke. Front desk apologized and found me a different room. The bathrooms and overall decor is quite dated. Food was ok, but non-existant service. Missing forks, no plates, coffee was burned. Was not worth the near $200/night for a hotel of this quality.

Food sucks. Rooms smell. Thankfully it was only one night.

I only had one complaint, I could here the people walking on the top floor @ 2am but wasnt so bad. I could tell they where stomping their feet so if the people on the top floor dont stomp you will be fine. I loved that the room was really clean, the room had lots of room with its own mini fridge and microwave wich really was helpful as I had brought lots of food for our family. I loved how comfortable the beds were (& I have back problems). I loved the big fluffy blankets and pillows. The room had a flat screen TV with good cable. Bathroom was nice, clean and they had Neutrogena products for soap, shampoo, and conditioner (VERY helpful for my mother in law as she is allergic to the world and this is the only natural products she can use). Staff was nice, pool and spa where clean and so was the gym. :) ) ) loved it! coming back again.

This has to be the worse Garden Inn within the brand. I supposedly got a suite. This was the tiniest suite I had ever seen. The regular rooms I have stayed in at other Garden Inns were larger. The "adjustable" bed didn't and was very much like sleeping in a ditch because it was so worn and sagged down in the middle. The rooms with even numbers face the river and the street. This was the noisiest room, even with ear plugs. The bathroom was tiny. The bath towel rack was in the bath/shower combo. Literally behind the curtain. The couch in the sitting area was made of a fabric that can only be made to have the function that it could be hosed off with a garden hose if need be. The breakfast buffet was adequate and the people there were nice and helpful. There is no lunch or dinner available. Fast food is the only thing in walking distance. There are much better options in the area and next time I will probably go to a competitor when I am in the area. Why did I waste my travel points on this dump.

I had a complimentary stay to check out the place and after my stay would probably not come back. There was no continental breakfast. Security for place was not available when leaving saw many people sleeping outside in cars in back. The beds were double size and supposed to be adjustable but they didn't work and they were the most uncomfortable beds ever.

The night superintendent at Hilton Garden Inn Portland Airport was a welcome and sympathetic sight. There was some confusion over our rooms as he saw in the computer only a room with one bed and no spare, certainly not the connecting rooms Flight Centre had told us about. He changed our room, then when we arrived at it he rang through to apologise for the confusion as he had found another booking under my son's name. We ended up with a second room down the hall, a king bed for me and double each for the boys, both very comfortable. My key wouldn't work and on the way down to sort that a staff member was on his way up with a letter of apology for the confusion and vouchers for complimentary breakfast. The breakfast selection was one of the best for our trip with eggs and bacon available as well as cereal, fruit and the usual carb varieties.
