Portland Hotels near Eastbank Esplanade

We did an overnight trip to Portland and were impressed at the cleanliness of the hotel and great location.

Location was great, safe walking from Portland Union Station. Rooms were clean and fresh, had everything I needed for a one night stay, but it has everything needed for a multi day stay.

I was extremely satisfied and so pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness. Absolutely loved the comfortable pillows and comforters.

Everyone was very nice, the hotel including the rooms are all very clean and the beds and pillows are very comfortable.

Great location to be walkable to all the good stuff. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and there are bikes you can rent for free to take around town.

The staff were fantastic and accommodating. Great service, great room, friendly.

Such a lovely historic hotel. Right in the heart of Portland. They have a great happy hour with seasonal live music!

City is way too busy, I wish they had a dedicated street since there is so much traffic.

This is a restored property in downtown Portland. The restoration was excellent. The room was beautiful, roomy and well appointed.

What a fantastic hotel. Loved every interaction with the staff from the front desk, security, client services, restaurants and event support. Everyone was so lovely and appeared to enjoy their jobs.

Wasn’t bad, actually kind of a nice surprise on how nice it was. Hallway smelt of weed but that’s most of the left coast these days.

Rooms are clean and low priced.
-Staff is welcoming but not so much that it scares my introvert SO.
-Just a couple blocks away from the train and our favorite coffee shop.

Came here for last week of summer vacation and had a blast! They have the coolest kid-friendly pool. My neighbors told me about this place and they were right!

Stayed this week and this is the nicest hotel we've been to! The staff was amazing. Our room was clean and pool rocked! So much fun for our kids.

Located in downtown Portland Hotel Lucia is easily walkable to many locations. Within minutes you can go from the lobby to the waterfront or shopping at the Muji store.

It's surreal, like a dream you feel like you've had but haven't but it doesn't matter.

We had dinner at Tope at The Hoxton Portland yesterday evening, and I wanted to give a special shoutout to Natesta for making our experience so wonderful.

First off, the staff here is the real highlight of the stay.

Woodlark Portland Greg and Theo were great! Helpful large team meeting let out all at once and everyone needed cars quick they were speedy.

We were told we upgraded to a “deluxe room”, but it was the smaller room we’ve had in the past visits. However it was comfortable.

The Bidwell by Marriott is a great place to stay with friendly, helpful staff. The Bidwell is clean and well maintained with a relaxing yet vibrant atmosphere. The rooms are well kept and comfortable.

What a great experience at this hotel. I don’t stay in many Marriotts and am more of a Hilton person but the GM, Jacob changed my point of view.

I can’t recommend KEX Portland enough, been here twice and the service is always great.

Outstanding stay at KEX Portland!
Just had a wonderful stay at KEX Portland and it exceeded all expectations.

Lots of amazing staff here. Nadyah was so amazing to us and went the extra mile helping us clean! The front desk did very good at accommodating all our requests.

A dream from my childhood to be in this historic building… photos on the walls throughout. I was here as a child shopping when it was the old Lipman’s dept store with my Nana.

This hotel is a DIAMOND IN THE RUFF.
Easy to get to by the light rail. We took from the PDX airport and walked about 2 blocks to Embassy.

The staff here are all very helpful and friendly, including maintenance and custodial folks. The hotel was built in 1912, so I wasn't expecting it to look like a brand new Hilton.

The cleanest bed mattress I've seen at a hotel so that was an instant five star for me. They made checkin and checkout easy. The food at the restaurant was good.

Hotel has nice modern touches with upgrades. It feels luxurious but still has your standard mini fridge, single serve Keurig, lockbox, $4.00 bottles of water in the room.

Hi-Lo Hotel was a beautiful Portland experience. The General Manager, Casey, made a real connection with us during our stay.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hi-Lo Hotel in downtown Portland. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and full of character.

This is a gem of a hotel in Old Town Portland. The service, the food at the cafe, and the room were perfect! I paid $79 for a queen bed private room that was top notch!

Positive: The king size bed with attached bathroom Decor groovy and sophisticated Negative: The bathtub needs a handle and don’t slip mat.

Loved this place. The restaurant and coffee shop were great. Super easy 4 minute walk to the Convention Center. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Plus comfy beds. Thanks everyone.

Location was great for what we needed, which was easy walking access to Moda for a night. The hotel is in good shape and the beds were comfortable.

We stayed at the Duniway this weekend and it was a lovely hotel.
The parking garage is a little tight (if you have an SUV or larger prepare to panic) but seemed pretty safe.

Second time staying at The Duniway Portland.

I booked this place through Airbnb, and I was honestly impressed with almost every aspect of my stay. The first thing that stood out was how friendly and welcoming the staff at reception were.

Boutique styled hotel with a cafe including tasty coffee and danish, gym, large lounge to conduct business calls or just relax.

Mathew at the front desk was more than helpful. They were supportive in getting us a room and a deal last minute. We had to leave our apartment and needed to find something close to home.

The staff at Jupiter NEXT were INCREDIBLE! Attended a wedding event over the weekend and the space/amenities were immaculate.

Lovely hotel. The live music was extraordinary. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the architecture of days gone by. Beautiful!

We had an amazing weekend at the white Eagle inn! We stayed in room 7 where we did encounter some whispers and papers moving. The second night we stayed in room 3… Roses Room.

We booked this hotel for location proximity to Randall’s Children’s Hospital.

We flew into Portland from Alaska to come and check out the event space and rooms for an upcoming event we have.

The Jupiter is such a cool place to stay! Friendly, helpful staff, clean and stylish rooms, and awesome location. We really loved drawing on the chalkboard door and hanging out in the communal areas.

The Jupiter was great for our small-ish (25+people) meeting. The staff was wonderful and helpful, particularly the event planning staff. Very responsive.

PDX hospitality teams are among the best in the world, and the service at the Stark is the best in this city. Devin, Hope, Kara, Sky, HK, Mar.

Overall it’s a cool boutique hotel with some character. Depending what you are looking for it may or may not be for you.
