Clean, spacious and very elegant looking. This is by far one of the best La Quinta Inn I've stayed at. It's right by the 5 freeway and within 10 minute drive to local stores and restaurants. Beds and pillows are very firm, too firm for my taste. I like them softer. Pool is small but with warm water and is kept clean with towels in hands so you don't need to bring from the room. Their staff was really friendly and accommodating. Their eating area does need to be bigger, every morning we had to look for sitting and ended up taking it up to the room one time due to no chairs/tabled available, kind of hard when having little ones that "always need a refill". The location of this hotel is perfect and not too busy. The amenities are nice and all one can all for at the price point. The complimentary breakfast was lacking in quality, but had a lot of variety.

Stayed last night had 2 rooms. $149/each The decor was nice flooring was nice. A/c worked. Bed must have been ok because I did sleep well. My kids had to park 2 blocks away because of no parking at 9pm. Low water pressure in shower. Went to hot tub at 9am no clean towels, dirty towels only. Hot tub was merky. And not very hot, more like lukewarm. Jets were good. After drying off with my shirt I went to front desk to let them know there were no towels in pool area. Waited a few minutes no one showed. Went to grab some breakfast to take up to room, no eggs no sausage and orange juice ran out as I was pouring it. Haha. Oh, and the syrup and waffle mix spilled all over the floor never got cleaned up until 10am closing time so everyone just walked in it. Needless to say it got sticky, I did find the front desk person, apperantly he was also responsible for bussing the dirty tables. Very nice gentleman. But the people at the front desk looking for him did not look happy. It appears they are understaffed. But the decor was nice.

Believe all the reviews about poor housekeeping practices and understaffing. We checked in Monday and housekeeping did the room Tuesday. On Wednesday, we left the room at 9:30 am and there was already a sign on the door saying that since we had the do not disturb out, our room would not be done that day and if we needed towels, go to the front desk. Went to the front desk and spoke to assistant manager Gary who had no response as to why the room couldn't be done after we left. I asked how late housekeeping was available and he said 6pm, so it was unclear why they couldn't go back and clean the room. I made arrangements for the room to be cleaned the next day (Thursday) at 11 am. We left at 10:30 am and came back to an untouched room and a Please do not disturb sign that was obviously placed there by staff (it wasn't the one in our room — it was larger than a normal one and bright green) ). So I went to the front desk at 6pm requesting a manager and was told they were gone for the day. The front desk clerk, Bridget (I believe was her name), was nice enough to come up with clean towels and take 2 days worth of towels and garbage from our room when it isn't her job. We checked in Monday, checked out Friday and had our room cleaned exactly once. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. However, Abu was friendly and attentive each morning. Giving 2 stars because the staff who did their jobs were helpful and it is a decent property.

The hotel is clean and pleasant. The location is perfect for me for commuting to Olympia and downtown Tumwater. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for a job interview I had in Olympia, was a decent stay. My girlfriend and I picked this place specifically for the fact they had a pool/hot tub. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile the gentleman working the front desk was incredibly nice, and friendly. However I was really disappointed that the pool area was under maintenance (literally the only reason I chose the hotel). My room was really clean which I appreciated that’s probably my biggest point of stay in a hotel however the public areas didn’t seem very clean at all. Fingerprints on the elevators and what appeared to be soda stains on elevator floor. Best part of hotel was the breakfast area and the guy working there with a smile. The breakfast was fantastic they should feel good knowing they have someone who runs it so well. If it weren’t for the breakfast I would have rated 3 stars. Unsure if I will return.

Well I have never actually been to this location. I keep telling Google this but it keeps asking for a review. So I will review what I can tell you of it. Which is that it is extremely conveniently located right next to the free only a couple of blocks from the exit. There is a large selection of options for shopping, groceries, and dining in the area including Dollar Tree, Fred Meyer, Albertons, and Walmart. Most of these places are easily within walking distance. The parking lot is very clean and from the outside it looks like a very nice place. Everything I would expect from the outside of a La Quinta Inn.

The staff was very rude. We had a clogged toilet and when I called down the person at the front desk said I’d have to wait 2 hours until the housekeeping staff came in because he was busy doing checkouts. Our family of four had to deal with a clogged toilet the entire morning. When we complained at checkout, rather than offering a discount, the staff member actually said he couldn’t give a discount because it could be that our kids put too much toilet paper in. I couldn’t believe he actually blamed the problem on our kids rather than apologize or try to fix it. I’ve rarely if ever been treated so badly by a hotel staff.

The hotel had a gorgeous modern design and the rooms were impeccably clean. When at all possible I choose La Quinta because they are dependable, always have a hot breakfast, & provide free Wi-Fi and parking. One of my favorite La Quinta's by far and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

It was a very nice, elegant place to stay. The room looked very sophisticated & well put together. I really liked the breakfast bar that they had. It had everything that my kids liked to eat. Overall, very satisfied with our stay.

Very clean with a friendly staff. Continental breakfast was good and included eggs and sausage or bacon. Coffee excellent. My only complaint was the rudeness of some of the guests who had dogs with them. Some of those guests allowed their dogs to defecate on walkways and then didn't clean up after the dogs. Shame on them!

We loved staying at the Tumwater La Quinta Hotel. We will greatly miss all of the wonderful staff who turned a hotel into a temporary home for us while we shopped around for a house and waited to move into it. La Quinta itself has super comfy, quiet rooms (the pillow top mattresses are divine! ) but it is the people who work at the hotel that make La Quinta a unique and wonderful place to visit. Every person on the Tumwater La Quinta Team made us feel very welcomed and we appreciate the kindness shown us during our 2.5 month stay. Sharon (one of the nicest people you will ever meet) and her housekeeping team keep La Quinta in tip top shape at all times and are always ready to provide extra help when needed. Cassandra is a fantastic hotel manager who is both very professional and extremely gracious. Chariesse, Corletta, Michelle, Gary, and Serge make up the office staff and are very friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and personable. We highly recommend the Tumwater La Quinta Hotel to anyone who is travelling through the area – It is a fantastic place to visit.

The check in was fast, we were there in the early hours of the morning and absolutely exhausted. We definitely appreciated the fast check in and clear instructions on how to get to our room. The room was beautiful, clean and quiet. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and we greatly appreciated the comfortable and casual seating available. Check out was again, a quick and easy process. I look forward to staying here again.

Nice clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Excellent room decorations. Very helpful and enjoyable staff. Good breakfast with a nice roomy and comfortable eating area. Completely exceeded my expectations. I stay in a lot of decent hotels/inns/motels… and this is one of the more pleasurable experiences I've had all year. Definitely recommend this place if you stay in the Olympia area.

Nice, clean room. Bed comfortable. Negatives were, no plug near microwave or coffee pot. Had to move microwave to plug in. Weird. Breakfast, no fruit. Gravy for biscuits, lukewarm, at best. Only 1 waffle iron, and place was packed. Reg coffee, only 1 pot, and it was empty. Parking not great, if raining or after dark, only 1 entrance.

Wife and 16 year old and 4 dogs. Stayed while RV repairs made at Ernie's hitch and welding in Olympia. Hotel seems near New and nice. Take a stroll down to the Tumwater fish ladder by the old Olympia brewery, beautiful park and dun to watch salmon if they are running. A few eateries within walking distance. They assigned me a room but after learning I had dogs, they changed my room to the second floor. It seems all pet owners are placed on the second floor. If you have allergies or no pets, ask for a room on the 1st, third or fourth floor. Our pet room was clean and no odors but I noticed as I walked around in socks, my feet would get damp. Most likely from frequent and recent carpet cleaning. We never leave our dogs to themselves and pride ourselves on our pets not going in the room so odors or wet carpet always bother me a little. We we're lucky to have a decent room but if they assign you a room, ask for another it it does not meet your own standards. I noticed the wet carpet too long into our stay and was too lazy to change. The indoor pool was small and shallow but sufficient, except chilly! The spa / hot tub was great. There is quite a bit of interstates and frontage road traffic noise. Ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. The parking lot is adequate for guests but there was little room for our RV (we parked at a friend's) and not much room for some of the visiting commercial vehicles. There is no overflow parking. Staff were friendly, and professional.

We usually stay here when visiting relatives in Olympia. Room is comfortable if not the most luxurious. Breakfast is adequate. They allow pets, so somewhat disconcerting to stumble upon large dogs in the hallways or in the pool area.

Nice appearing hotel however it's mostly for show. Poor customer service and there were multiple issues with the room itself. Parking is free and if you expect a space be early and aware of parked Uhaul trailers taking up 5 parking spaces.

We had the WORST experience ever at the La Quinta Inn in Tumwater WA. My husband, niece and I were in town to attend our son's wedding the following Saturday. We checked in the evening of August 30 and spend the next day sightseeing in Seattle. At 9:30 pm we received a call from the manager saying. "You need to come pick up your things and find another place to stay. You are no longer welcome to stay here. " After much pressure she finally divulged that housekeeping had found a bug in our room which they suspected to be a bedbug and they "could not allow us to contaminate" the hotel. Upon our return to retrieve our belongings we were shown one small bug in a plastic bag… about the size of a pin head. (I don't even know what a bedbug looks like) We are from Colorado and bedbugs here are very rare. I can unequivocally state that we DO NOT have bed bugs in our home. It could have come from anywhere, from any guest. I was infuriated beyond measure. And to add insult to injury, they refused to return our money for the night of the 31st. This whole situation was infuriating, unfair, embarrassing and TOTALLY unnecessary. We are in our early 60's and our niece is 15. Could this have something to do with the fact that we are Caucasian and our niece is Asian? The whole thing felt very "made-up" and illogical. The General Manager who called and the Night Manager on duty both would not give us a logical explanation nor offer any type of resolution.

Great place very nice people love the there breakfast choices & remodeling except the beds they are much harder then the beds before the remodeling my back hurts! Other wise I still love this place.

Accommodations we're good but the breafast had no meat at all. All in all I would still stay here. Staff was great and the place has amenities like a pool and gym.

My family of 7 was pleasantly surprised by this branch of La Quinta, which — though located in Tumwater — is a simple 10 minute drive into downtown Olympia — just go straight down Capitol Way! The rooms here are decently sized, comfortable and new — spotless clean. The common area is actually grand and they offer event space here (see photos of the lobby). The free breakfast is par for the course, nothing special, but great for hungry teens. Cassandra, the manager, was welcoming & helpful. The night staff brought up extra blankets immediately when asked. Prices are very reasonable! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We used the pool and fitness room and they were nice. The free breakfast was good but could have used more fresh fruit options.

The inside of this hotel is MUCH more beautiful than any other La Quinta location! The staff was very welcoming, and their buisness center was easy to use. The pool was warm and clean, and so were the rooms. The only reason I am docking a star is because of the weird smell in the hallways.

Over all a decent hotel for the price. It is a new hotel, so still in good condition. The pool closed for service. We had a light bulb out in the washroom. Housekeeping could pay better attention to details for sure. Our room was VERY dusty the entire stay, they didn't empty the coffee filter when they cleaned, the Kleenex box was left empty, didn't replenish the coffee cups, and there was a cap to an ink pen on the floor when we checked in and it stayed there our entire stay… which means they didn't vacuum! The breakfast was decent but whisked away promptly at 9 am. (Not refilled after 8:45) so don't sleep in. Funny thing is we received a survey… "Did you enjou your stay? " simply Yes or No. Way to sque the customer satisfaction!

Horrible experience, the carpet stank of wet dog and baking soda. We moved rooms to get away from the smell but ended up dealing with the same problem in a different room, and we had the king suite or whatever. The breakfast bar looked like an elementary class had handled it first and the hotel held money on my debit card for almost two weeks. I recommend finding a Motel 6 before abusing your earnings here.

Excellent. The whole building looked new and clean inside. The room was spotless. Very pleasant stay. The breakfast could have been improved by having an employee monitoring it, rather than waiting for guests to complain about lack of coffee or forks.

Great new hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was very quiet. The staff was friendly. The beds were comfy, although the pillows were quite hard. Breakfast was a little limited, but at least there was a hot item every day. We would stay here again for sure.

We arrived home from Mexico at 2am and waited in the cold at Seatac for an hour for a taxi. When we finally got on the road home, we couldn't keep driving because of our exhaustion and icy roads. We pulled off at La Quinta in Tumwater, and this place was amazing. Someone was there to meet us, gave us a quiet, lovely room… it was absolutely perfect. 'This hotel is so restful, beautifully decorated, and has a lovely pool, spa, hot tub and nice breakfast. We want to tell you how we appreciated your hospitality. We will be back. Helpful staff, beautiful new motel and breakfast. Well the breakfast was just OK. Waffles and biscuits and gravy so it was hot and there were other choices. My grandson was disappointed that there were not donuts (there was one pastry type) and no hot chocolate. They had coffee, tea and juice but on a winter morning a cup of hot chocolate would have been nice. The desk person also had to maintain the breakfast area and she did a fabulous job but it is too much for one person to handle on their own. I would recommend that you ask for a room that is not over the pool. Ours was right over and we could here the kids screaming and having fun until the pool closed. Otherwise the room was very comfortable and there is plenty of tabletop area to spread out packed items. I like it better when the vanity and sink are out of the bath area and that is not the case with this hotel. We had 4 in our party so it took a while for all four of us to cycle through the bathroom and get ready. The beds are very comfortable. My husband didn't care for the pillow as it it was too big and firm for him. The kind desk clerk said that next time a piilow is not comfortable to just ask — they have tons and they can usually find one that is more to each individual liking. Would I stay here again — — you bet. It is very conveniently located also. Best of all my daughter's dog was allowed and there was no extra fee.
