Beautiful B&B in Capitol Hill. Lovely large house full of character. Just got here and looking forward to our stay. Feels very welcoming.

A wonderful experience for a group of six adults staying three nights.
We were in town for Comic-Con and wanted to have a unique outing for our excursion. The mansion was an excellent place to relax and enjoy time with each other away from the crowds but still close enough to walk if you want.
The decor is nostalgic and beautifully kept, our host was informative regarding the house and the surrounding area, also for being as close to the city/freeway as it is the noise level is practically non-existent.

Ten times better than a hotel. It's like your home, but someone else's home, but your home. Capiche? Be comfy, bring your comfy stuff, and delight in your regular stuff.

We stayed here recently and the everything was excellent. Daryl was an amazing host and makes a wonderful continental breakfast each morning. The room was so comfortable and spacious. The mattress was the best I have every slept in. I would love to stay there again.

I give this place a so so. There was no parking and the owner (Daryl) was a little rude when we asked what the land marks were. Don't think I'd stay here again.

Arrived after dark. Harder to find even harder to find a parking stall. Owner Daryl was pleasant however double charged us for the room. Room was ok. No interior lock only deadbolt with provided key. I have stayed at much better run b&b previously.

Lovely courtyard, gorgeous home. Tiny room. Not good for people who can't do stairs. Great location in terrific neighborhood. Breakfast of fresh fruit, homemade muffin and strong coffee.

Second time staying here. Nice relaxed house, close to 49 bus (prospect st) which brings you to main area of broadway which links to the light rail train at airport.
Close to volunteer park which has good views of city.
Only about 10 mins on bus to pike place.
The area around B and B is a well to do area and safe at night time.
Daryl the owner was very accommodating and gave us plenty of information about the area and how to get around.

Had a perfect stay here. The room was beautiful and homey. The mansion was clean, tastefully decorated, gorgeous, and genuine feeling. Highly recommend this accommodation. Also, this place is pet-friendly.

My husband and I stayed at The Bacon Mansion for five nights and loved it! It was located in a great area, we walked a ton and it was super convenient to take public transportation. Daryl and the rest of the staff were all wonderful — super friendly, helpful and had great suggestions on places to eat and visit. We'll definitely be staying here on future Seattle trips!

The place was beautiful, but Daryl wasn't super helpful, sometimes short, even forgetting to bring us ice until he saw us on our way to pick it up ourselves. The place doesn't feel super welcoming and the breakfast wasn't really up to par considering the price of the stay. The rooms were clean, though, and the location is great which is why I am still giving 3 stars.

Room was beautiful and that's really all I can say about this b& b. I was so looking forward to this experience unfortunately it was not for me.

This place and the staff are great! I made a reservation over the phone at the last minute and they gave me the Carriage Cottage because it was could rent me since I had my dog with me. The cottage was amazing! There were so many positive things I can say it would take too long to list them all. To show this is an honest review, not everything in the cottage was unicorns and rainbows. There was some things for the BnB stored behind curtains. But so what! The main house was a very well appointed and inviting. You can tell it's an old mansion that was very loved and well taken of. The dining table was gorgeous! I had to leave very early and didn't have the pleasure of enjoying the breakfast but I have to believe it it would have been amazing! The staff was amazing too. Great young adults. Very accommodating and extremely friendly. I just wish I could have stayed there longer to spend time with them. ok. Here are my criticisms: — The pictures on their web site does not do the place justice. They should get a professional photographer in to take more pix for them to post. — I feel the price of the cottage I stayed in is too low! I have paid a lot more in Seattle for rooms that are no where as nice as this place. This will definitely be my first choice go to place to stay when I'm in Seattle!

We loved staying at the Bacon. Or plans changed last min and they were able to accommodate us a night early. The rooms are large and authentic with everything you needed plus a whole lot of charm. The staff were friendly and attentive and the homemade strawberry muffins in the morning were to die for! The only reason they're not getting 5 stars is because they're a B&B called the Bacon Mansion, but they don't serve bacon… I know that the house is named after the family and not literally because of bacon, and maybe I'm old fashion, but bacon should be on the morning menu at the Bacon Mansion Bed and Breakfast :P.

I really loved the layout and history of this bed and breakfast. It was beautiful and cozy! The only downside was that the breakfast was a bit small, unfortunately, and on a Sunday, too! We had fruit, yogurt, and granola, as well as muffins. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't expecting bacon! We ended up getting a "second breakfast, " of sorts, elsewhere. Otherwise, it was wonderful! Definitely would stay again, and if I could give it four and a half stars, instead of four, I would!

This is a gem of a place to stay if you’re visiting Seattle or even having a Staycation! The proprietors are world class and the historical mansion is well appointed and elegant!

We stayed in the carriage house. It's the size of a studio apartment and felt very private. The main house is very cozy and inviting. We were treated well by the owners and given much advice regarding local destinations. The house is beautiful and kept well. I would rate this in the Top 5 B&B's that I have been too and would gladly stay at again.

Very polite and informative host. Also great location for being a tourist in Seattle for one day.

After travelling for 32 hours door-to-door with no sleep on my international journey (or what ended up 2 hours sleep across 72 hours until I put my head on the pillow), it felt great to finally arrive here. I was meant to land earlier in the evening but a late-notice SFO-SEA flight cancellation meant four extra hours of delay. Anyway, late check-in wasn't a problem as I was provided instructions by email beforehand. My 1km walk from the Capitol Hill Station (light rail is a good way to travel from Sea-Tac Airport and only costs US$2.50 if you walk the rest of the way from Capitol Hill Station) from after 11pm on a Saturday night was pleasant through the nice area with good vibes. This was my first ever welcome to America's streets and it was wholly pleasant. The spacious shared bathroom was well stocked with towels and toiletries and worked well for me. Room and bed was comfortable — I got very refreshing sleep every night, only waking to pleasant natural light and a not-intrusive flight path later in the morning. Delicious freshly-baked muffins, fruit, juice, tea & coffee are served around the big dining table where it was great to meet other travellers so despite not normally being a breakfast person, it was wonderful to have this as my introduction to America.

Stayed there in early June; rooms clean, comfy w/everything one needs for a great stay. Neighborhood convenient to public transport, lots of cool places to eat and explore. A great intro to Capital Hill!

Fantastic place to stay! We had a nice, room, the staff was friendly. The location is great as you can walk to many interesting places, and the houses in this neighborhood are incredible. Very comfortable outdoor dining and patio for relaxing, as well.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Bacon Mansion and would definitely return. Each B&B is unique — — it's an expression of the host's vision of hospitality, combined with the features and quirks of the property itself. If you fundamentally need and want a very predictable and standardized hospitality experience, then B and B's might not be the right type of travel accommodation for you. You need to be willing and prepared to enjoy and respond to what you find at each inn. We found (in the Iris room, a little, cozy, steeply gabled room without a closet, ) a comfortable bed with lovely heavy cotton sheets, window fans instead of A/C, a bath shared conveniently with the one other third floor room, with waffled cotton spa robes to facilitate the steps from room to bath, and AWESOME water pressure in the 3rd floor shower. The common areas on the first floor are both indoor and outdoor, and include a lovely garden area, ample and multiple small group seating spaces, and a beautiful large dining room with a spacious table. Breakfast included bottomless tasty coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, as well as baskets of still-warm fruit muffins on the table. We found Daryl and his staff welcoming, helpful, friendly and efficient. I inquired in advance about having a local friend join us for breakfast, and she was welcomed with no fuss, and we were not charged.

When we first stayed at the Bacon Mansion, it was basically for convenience because our daughter lives about a block away. However, we now choose Bacon Mansion whenever we need a place in Seattle. Rooms are wonderfully decorated, very clean, and have every amenity we need. Morning coffee outside the room is wonderful as a "wake up" treat. And, breakfasts, in the dining room, are always a treat with fresh fruit salads, yogurt, and the best muffins ever! The Staff is very friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable about Seattle. I also enjoy talking to Daryl, the owner!

My wife and I traveled 2, 800 miles from Florida to spend our 28th wedding anniversary at the Bacon B&B and we could not have picked a more perfect place for our special getaway. The property is beautifully appointed both inside and out and in fantastic shape. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with good restaurants, bars, coffee house, etc. Within walking distance. The city and all she has to offer is just a short drive down the Hill. We stayed in the Carriage House suite and were extremely comfortable. We also loved the private patio space. Extremely relaxing. The Wifi, which was recently upgraded, worked flawlessly. Daryl, the owner, made us feel very welcome like we lived there and were not just guests. Our only regret was not staying longer. We LOVE the Bacon and will definitely be back as soon as we possibly can.

Wonderful bed and breakfast that my family has stayed at a couple of times. It's located in a beautiful quiet area of north Capitol Hill, an easy walk from the new light rail station. The rooms are nice and comfortable, and the owner is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed in the Clipper room. The place is absolutely beautiful. Well kept, great atmosphere, wonderful ambiance. The employees are very accommodating. I would recommend this place to any of my friends/ family. We will be staying here again on our next Seattle trip. :)

Beautiful accommodations in a great location. Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood within an easy walk to many restaurants and shopping. The hosts were also outstanding. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the historic house as well as advice on dining and other things of interest.

A very nice location on a beautiful street. The house has lovely landscaping and is charming. I wouldn't mind a few more choices at breakfast but it was a good meal. Everyone there was nice and helpful with a good knowledge of the area and what to do. (Our extra bed was a bit hard)

I stayed in the Carriage House for several nights in March 2016 and loved it. The Carriage House is separate from the main house. The room is large, clean, quiet, and bed was very comfortable; I slept great there. The staff is friendly and responsive. The breakfast is fruit, yogurt, muffins, and cereal and is all delicious, especially the muffins. And the fresh pressed coffee is great! It is located on a quiet street, with off-street parking, in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Dozens of fabulous Capitol Hill restaurants are within easy walking distance.

Excellent stay. My room was beautiful, clean, well taken care of. I could relax outside on the patio reading, then drift inside for a great night's sleep. I slept like a rock. It's also very conveniently located to downtown/Pikes Place. The owners really take great care of the place — highly recommended!

We stayed only one night at the Bacon Mansion, and that was enough. If we had planned to stay longer in Seattle, I would have looked for other lodging. The Mansion had an ideal location. Close to restaurants and shopping. We were able to walk to the Asian Museum of Art and several other attractions. Public transit was accessible. The owner was friendly and happy to offer directions and parking options for our visit into the city. Parking was limited near the Inn, and we were encouraged to park on the street. Our room was clean, and our bed had fresh sheets. Some furniture and home decorations weren't authentic and some pieces were broken. Our room seemed to be thrown together. Our breakfast consisted of cold fruit salad that looked like it had been around a few days and hot muffins. Muffins ran out before all guest could have one. I would advise family and friends to stay elsewhere if traveling to Seattle.

My wife and I stayed one night during a pretty quiet seasonat Bacon Mansion. Darryl was a fabulous host, very gracious and welcoming. The rooms were accommodating, the muffins in the morning were great, and the building is walking distance to some great parts of Capitol Hill. We enjoyed ourselves, and hope to be back in the future.

Situated within walking distance to trendy Capitol Hill this is a very charming place with a lovely outside courtyard and inner areas to chill out and read a book. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi. We stayed in the loft which was an old chauffeur's lodging. Bed was comfortable with excellent sheets and pillows. Coffee machine and TV in room.

Good location, friendly staff. Wifi unusable, either there was no connection at all or it was unusably slow : (. In my room, one of the windows had an AC unit in it, hence it couldn’t be closed entirely. This is a bit problematic, as Seattle is loud at night, for example due to all the airplanes.

Unfortunately I was only able to spend one night! I really enjoyed it, nice folks who are very accommodating, quiet, great feel to it. I am looking forward to staying there again on my next Seattle trip.

The bacon Mansion was lovely! We stayed in the Rose Room and we could hear the water fountain out in the courtyard which was very peaceful. The breakfast in the morning was just what we needed and the staff were great and very helpful! The only thing that was so great was the Wi-Fi was very slow. Overall, I would stay there again next time I visit Seattle.

Very quaint and cute b&b. The staff is very friendly and they have delicious breakfast muffins in the morning. The mansion is right off of capital hill and is just a short walk to multiple coffee shops, restaurants, and stores.

My aunt and I stayed here for 3 days while visiting Seattle and loved every minute of it. The staff is friendly, the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and cozy, and the breakfasts each morning were PERFECT. Being close enough to walk to downtown Capitol Hill was also a big plus. We even walked to Downtown Seattle one day, although that was a bit of a trek. Our only issue was that we were moved from one room to another halfway through our stay, and were not informed until we arrived on our first day — but the staff moved our luggage, and seeing another room was actually nice in a way. I would highly recommend the Bacon to anyone staying in Seattle.

I had a weekend conference at St. Marks Cathedral and Bacon Mansion was the closest place to stay. I arrived late the first night but Brian, the owner was there to greet me and show me to my room. The conference started in the morning before the scheduled breakfast, but Brian was up to get me a muffin and fruit anyway. The entire stay was great. It is within walking distance to the Broadway business district. The weather was sunny all weekend. The Rose Room was very comfortable with High def TV to watch the olympics in my off time.

For the past seven months we've spent two nights mid-week at the Bacon Mansion and feel it is our home away from home. We are crestfallen when our favorite room, the Capitol Suite, isn't available but find solace in having wine and a light picnic dinner in the charming garden during the summer. In the winter, having access to the array of restaurants on Capitol Hill makes our weekly trek into the city seem less like business travel and more like a mid-week get-away. The Innkeeper, Daryl, is engaging while at the same time respectful of guests' privacy. He has commented to us that he believes his role as Innkeeper is to allow the guests to open up to one another, not become the focal point of the discussion.
