Not sure how to rank because I didn’t make the reservation and didn’t research but well below my expectations for a nice retreat and spa. Not at all a “spa” retreat. Can’t take a nap due to the noise from upstairs room. Buildings are old and cheap — maybe was a 50’s motel 6 or something similar. Each room has earplugs so perhaps they realize noise is an issue. Pool is indoors and heavily chlorinated. Gym is three machines stuffed in a closet. View from our room is a chain link fence and abandoned buildings. If you are looking for a nice place in the Islands try the Inn at Langley. If your looking for a place for kids and close to Friday Harbor try this place. The location is great. I would add that the staff were very nice and tried to be accommodating but could only offer a different ground floor room with no air conditioning.

Great hotel, comfortable and clean. No A/C, but a nice big fan is available and fits in the window to cool you down just fine. Kids loved to pool, just wish the doors to the very comfortable seating area could be opened so we could sit outside to watch the kids instead of inside the pool building. We never used the bikes as the whole town is right around you and walkable. No breakfast, but great food everywhere. Plus, get a massage here, so wonderful! Would stay here again!

Great location. The front desk was very helpful and courteous. The rooms were spacious and modern. All in all, a wonderful place to stay in Friday Harbor.

Disappointing. We stayed here previously but this time is very disappointing. We did not receive the room we requested and the room we received was full of mildew so they gave us a fan to get rid of the smell. Given the price here, I think we should have stayed elsewhere. Disappointing.

Ok, but not great. No view, small rooms, and thin walls. But very clean and comfortable beds.

Check inn was a breeze, the hotel store was great, we loved our room with a nice little patio and seating area. The shower was great and overall the room was very nicely decorated! Next time we will try out the spa services and complimentary bikes! The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional.

Their TVs are android TVs or has chrome cast wired up! How awesome is that! I’d suggest changing the TV displaying names in each room — now they show the same model number so it took me 4 tries to find the right TV and I might have casted some YouTube video to the room next to mine LOL.

Pool is super chem went for a mom's birthday and the group. Of us could only stay in the pool a short time because it burn all. If are eyes the rooms were nice and the staff is friendly free bikes make great to stay and zip. Around the island all. Day.

This Inn and spa provided us with excellent service. We were staying in this inn during our summer 2017 vacation. They gave us some great local restaurant suggestions, and it was great. However, there was a white guy in his late teens or Early 20s shouting Racial slurs at us while we were walking near the Wells Fargo area. And the bathtub was not very clean. However, they have some products from the local lavender farm!

About a 5-10 minute walk from ferry. Close to all attractions in Friday Harbor. Rooms were very clean and nice, but a little chilly in October (no heat). Bed could have been a little more comfy.

Save your money, sleep in the car! Earthbox of rocks, thin mattress covered in plastic, like a nursing home, filthy carpet, had late checkout as we got in after midnight and they were pounding and sawing on the, room right below us at 9 am. Can't believe I paid $175 for this. NOT HAPPY Don't be deceived by the word spa. I politely told the front desk staff and all she could say was " I'm sorry, the mattresses are brand new" well take the plastic off! At this, price I expect a pillow top or at least a comfort Inn level, not Motel 6!

Great pool and hot tub/sauna! Only a few minutes walk to water or drug and grocery stores. Very helpful desk. My 2 kids and I liked it, worth the price. Quiet and COMFORTABLE beds.

This place is awesome! The staff is amazing made our stay worth it. They went out of their way to have eclipse glasses for the ecplise complimentary to us. Bikes here for people who stay. Spa is a must. Coffee on campus. Anniversary is handled with a great display and bubbly! We discovered it was exceeded our expectations. A few minutes from the main spots. Close enough to walk, we did. Rooms are nice and really well kept. Updated recently from what I could see. Totally worth the stay. We'll be back for sure!

Great place to spend your night at when visiting Friday Harbor and the San Juan Islands. No A/C but putting the fan in the window works just fine. Small indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center are in the building behind the coffee shop. There is an outdoor terrace to enjoy. If you are lucky, the hotel's cat, Tyson will visit with you. Enjoy the free bike rentals but don't expect to be able to ride them in Friday Harbor. Take them the opposite direction and you'll have a better experience.

Nice place in a good area, right outside the main strip. Helpful staff that recommended the new brewery in town, which was an awesome tip. Not 5 stars because the 'quiet' room we were put in was actually right at the top of the stairs, so everyone has to go by us to get to their rooms. Still a good hotel overall!

A beautiful Motel style establishment with pool hot tub sauna and Day Spa facility providing massages, pedicures, manicures, and all that stuff. The Landscaping here is incredible especially for a motel. The staff is great … maintenance man is very friendly he was doing some painting while I stayed here keeping the place looking great. They have free ice and coin laundry facilities are available on site. There's a TV, coffee pot, hair dryer, fridge and microwave in every room. They'll help you get anything else you need. It was a little bit pricey for me but I can admit I'm frugal! I would stay here again though based on my experience. All of their soap is locally-made! It's great stuff and awesome they don't use corporate soap from China! I love it.

Great location, nice staff, room was just okay. Too warm, fan in bathroom sounded like a, plane taking off. Room was clean but had an odd smell.

Fantastic stay. Very friendly staff with a lot of great recommendations about San Juan Island. Good location, walkable to many restaurants and shops.

Clean rooms. Courteous staff. Awesome local soap from the lavender farm on the island. Located right next to the harbor a great jump-off point for the island!

Comfortable suites and great service. A great place to stay when visiting Friday Harbor. The rooms have ample space, and there are great amenities.

Earthbox is a quaint inn with cozy rooms and comforting furniture. It's the perfect place to rest your head after a long day of cycling, shopping, and socializing with the community.

Nice and clean rooms. Need improvements like iron in rooms and some door mats.

Overall I would rate this place as so-so. Indoor pool and bicycles are definitely a plus, and the rooms were fairly well furnished. But the price was somewhat high for a place that is essentially a motel. My experience wasn't bad, but I would probably try somewhere else before staying here again.

Friendly staff, clean lodging. Our unit was quite nice and generaly up-to-date, though the bathroom could use some updating.

The room we stayed in was large and quiet. The staff was very accommodating.

This place is sooo way over priced and sooo not worth it! $250.00 a nite?! what? I fell for the deceptive staff and photos on line thinking that it would be the perfect long over due mini vacation resort for myself and my husband. WRONG! first of all we had to climb very scary stairs to get to our room, then the room had dark icky carpet, a view of a wrecking yard, bugs crawling on the deck, a loud barely functioning a/c, a very small flat screen t. V. With limited channels, noisy neighbors, a regular tub, (no jets here), no complimentary breakfast, no champagne reception, all the so called "Spa Services" were way over priced, (who pays $190.00 for a message? ) they allowed baby's with diapers on in the hot tub and pool EWWWWW! and when I was asked how my stay was when checking out and I explained all this. All I got was " sorry, we'll try and do better next time? " meanwhile my husband and I are out $550.00!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff are super friendly and helpful. My facial by Rachel was heavenly, their products are luxurious and she is top notch. I am looking forward to returning when I can stay longer.

Awesome,, WIFE loved it. I loved being able to drink beer while the kids swam in the heated pool.

Stayed in Earthbox Inn and Spa in November 2014 with my family. We stayed in one of their houses which was great for 5 adults and 3 small children. Great hotel and staff. I recommend this hotel.

The layout of the buildings are a motor lodge inn, I am in the 200's and the floor is squeaking. For the record I hate any room that opens to a parking lot. The room has no A/C, just a box fan on the floor? Room bedding and accents are up to date, but walls are thin. I hope the breakfast is worth it.

Within the first 8 hours of checking into our room we found that the refrigerator was leaking water all over the floor, bathroom outlet doesn't work, shower wasn't cleaned from previous persons stay (hair in the shower), my 6 year old daughter somehow sliced her knee open by something in the furniture or from something on the hardwood floors, walls are paper thin and you can pretty much hear the people next door breathing. There's even ear plugs stocked on the back of the toilet, if that tells you anything. For $250 a night on this island. It better be like the Ritz.

Overall a decent place to stay. The rooms were small (hotel size) but clean and good enough for 2 people. Guest services were helpful on area activities and arranged a kayak tour thru San Juan Outfitters which was fun. We did use the Earthbox bikes once and the 1 gear bikes will give you a workout going up hill. Location was good — walking distance to everything in Friday Harbor. Areas that need improved — the TV's are from 1990s and poor quality, I'm sure they can afford flat screens. The blinds let a lot of light in the morning.

The staff was wonderful and our room was fantastic! The bed was hands down awesome! With a variety of pillows it's definitely the coziest I've slept on in a hotel (and I travel a lot). TV and WI-FI worked flawlessly, and the bar fridge was perfect to keep fruit and beverages cold (grocery store just around the corner). The poolside Cafe Zia is a total hidden gem! While there are coffee makers in the rooms, do your self a favor and get Zoe the Batista to make you a Cappuccino at their poolside cafe. By far my favorite on the island and well worth the stop even if you're not staying there! While there's a coffee maker in the room, there is a coffee shop (Cafe Zia) just outside thier I opted for the With a variety of pillows, a down quilt and soft comfort, the beds could not have been better. They were a great help in planning before our stay, and very attentive once we were there. The rooms were fantastic; well beyond expectations. Walking distance from the ferry, but they even picked us up! The heated indoor pool (only one on the island) was awesome! Great place.
