Stayed overnight before a business meeting. The lounge was on the ground floor and had a lot of space inside. Breakfast and dinner were fairly good — better than other Marriotts I’ve been to. Gym was on the small side, but was fine since there were not that many using it when I went in the evening.

Great customer service and very clean hotel throughout. The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. Beautiful lobby and well maintained gym.

I stayed at this hotel for a conference I attended at nearby George Washington University. It is within walking distance of multiple national monuments. The fitness center is well appointed, the room is large, clean and comfortable, and the staff are all very pleasant. I would most definitely return to this property.

Wonderful hotel. Really enjoyed my stay. Clean, great customer service, new decor and very responsive valet. Only problem I experienced was that housekeeping was at our door at 8am when our check out was 11am. That was a startling way to get woken up.

Nice hotel. Rate was a reasonable. Although renovations have been done, it is not a luxury hotel. Hallways and rooms have that 1960/70s feel. Very convenient location.

I like the fact that this Marriott had been updated and everything feels new and clean. However the walls seem paper thin, I can hear anyone going down the hallway. Additionally I could clearly hear the man in the room next to me talking about how his wife isn't good at making friends. The door between rooms continually rattles making annoying noises while you try to sleep. The air conditioner also makes a lot of noise when starting up. In the positive the bathroom is very clean and nice, though it would be nice to get more than one bar of soap so I can have one for washing hands and one for showing.

Stayed for two days in this hotel and do not recommend anyone stay here. Our group had multiple rooms. Our check-in process was messy to say the least. We all were supposed to be booked into a king sized room but instead one of the rooms was two full beds. As we had a prior engagement, this room fix couldn't be addressed. Unfortunately in the process a pair of expensive running shoes was either taken from the room or left in the first room. During the stay, several of the rooms had smell issues. One was addressed during the stay the other not addressed. When going to check-out the person from our group with the shoes reported it directly to the front desk to ask about a lost and found and they stated they didn't have anything and also that no one else had checked into that first room. All that was done was a phone number was taken and they then said, "if and only if we find them we will call you. " After returning back to our place of business we reported it through a survey received from Marriott about our stay but a phone call was received from corporate Marriott and they will not cover the shoes though it's clear the only one who would have had access to them is staff. They were either stolen or misplaced by staff who entered the rooms but of course Marriott will not take responsibility. Again, heed my warning. Don't stay here.

I arrived at this hotel for a one night stay and had an overall uneventful stay. The problems didn’t begin until check out. Upon getting my vehicle back from the valet (which cost $50) I noticed damage to my front bumper. Not a single person thought to mention to me that they had scratched the vehicle. In fact when I brought it up to valet, Solomon, he pretty much told me it was us who did it. Mind you the car had been with them all night up until check-out. Anyways he refused to call the manager and no one took us seriously until we got the local law enforcement involved. All Marriott had to say was that their valet service is a third party and to take it up with them. They might have been a third party but the valet charge was on my hotel bill. I think Marriott should be held accountable for any services they provide on their property even if it’s through a third party. This was a month ago and I’m still waiting to be reimbursed for repairs to my car. Mind you no one offered to comp the valet so pretty much I paid to get my vehicle messed up. The whole process has been a hassle thus far. Anyways, avoid this hotel or at least avoid their valet service. This is all coming from a platinum elite member, not that that means anything to them apparently.

Good business hotel. Excellent staff. Rooms are clean and modern. Food is good, but the menu a little short on choice. Could do with a few more wines to offer. Housekeeping was exceptional.

Absolutely a wonderful place to stay! Very clean and accomendating. My son had left his little dog in our hotel room, and they were so helpful and holding it until FedEx could pick it up. I highly recommend this hotel, and will hopefully return for another visit in the future! Thank Washington Georgetown Marriott for an amazing stay!

This hotel was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we got there to the moment we left. They let us check in early so we didn't have to carry out luggage all over D. C. So we could go tour. The rooms were also very clean. This hotel is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in while in D. C. The picture only shows the bed (after I had already laid on it) but the entire room was spacious and clean.

The rooms are small to average, but the service, friendliness, and M Lounge make up for it. Clearly training staff is a priority at this hotel, as each and every staff member was friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. This included little gifts and candy for the kids upon check in, as well as amazing service in the lounge every day. This property really stands out for its staff and the great lounge. Highly recommended over other Marriotts in the area.

They have recently remodeled this hotel, and it is gorgeous! We were only in town for a day and a half, for a race, but they were very accommodating and kind. There were so many different conventions and races going on in town that weekend — as opposed to any other weekend in DC I guess!? — but they were always there to accommodate and made sure everybody was taken care of.

Nice reception. Very professional and extremely courteous staff.
Relatively narrower rooms compared to other hotels in the same chain.
Breakfast room poorly located in the middle of the reception but quality food and service efficient and fast.

I stayed here for a 2 day meeting and I liked it a lot. My first time in this hotel and was happy with their service. Their staff were terrific and friendly.
Amazing food. Location is great for sightseeing although I didn't have time to do that. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting DC for business. Might be a little tight for large family to stay for vacation.

This Marriott should be an example of how a we'll run hotel should look. Very nice decor, professional and helpful staff, clean rooms. We had a very pleasant stay. My only complaint is really no fault of the hotel's and that was that a volleyball tournament was in town and there were a lot of guests for the tournament. The restaurant/bar was swamped which made service slow. The staff handled it very well considering.

Rooms are very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel a lot. The common spaces are also nicely decorated and comfortable. We tried their breakfast, and I think it was decent for the offered price. The location is very very good. It is very close to Georgetown area, White House and Lincoln Monument.

We stayed in the Ward suite, and it was great! The suite was very spacious. The pull-out bed was not as comfortable as we were assured it was, however it was serviceable for an overnight stay. The M-Club was great for evening relaxing and breakfast. The staff was very friendly. I would certainly recommend this hotel, and would stay again.

Seems like the hotel has been recently renovated. Great stay. Great staff. Winnie checked us in with great professionalism and a personal touch. It harkened back to days of outstanding hotels. The location is awesome. The only complaint is with the price of the parking ($50 per night). But you can find much cheaper parking at Colonial Parking 2 blocks away. If you park between 6PM & 10PM, you can park for $12.

Attentive service, nice lounge with free food and drinks for elite members. Restaurant downstairs is not bad, and there are a bunch of great restaurants within walking distance as well. Rooms are decent and about what you would expect from a mid-high tier hotel like the Marriott. No complaints.

Enjoyed my stay for business purposes. The M Lounge is very spacious and equipped with an outstanding team eager to make your visit comfortable & enjoyable. The gym has modern equipment for a good workout. The front desk offers miniature martini cocktails at check in… nice touch. Rooms are comfortable.

We loved the location of the Marriott. We had to call to get more shampoos, soaps, towels, etc. Housekeeping was great. The fresh bites room service was lacking. 4 nights my daughter ordered a brownie sundae and we would have to call roger it fixed. Warm brownie, ice cream, syrup and berries!? Who knew it could be difficult. On thanksgiving day a smoke smell permeated our room. Instead of figuring out where it was coming from they moved us to another room which was a hassle but necessary as my daughter couldn’t stop coughing. The final evening we ordered cheeseburgers off kid menu and they forgot the cheese. We have stAyed at many Marriott and this was our first unpleasant experience. The staff up front was kind. Especially Maria. I’m sure we will be back but hopefully they will remedy concerns.

Wow, thank you Marriott! This was a tremendous stay and we can't thank you enough. Checked in and mentioned we were there for our anniversary — — we came back from dinner to a wonderful small platter of cheeses, bottle of wine, and card signed by several staff. The M Club access as an Elite Marriott member was the best amenity I have seen at any Marriott I have stayed at (and I have stayed at plenty) — — filled with snacks and drinks and coffee etc, open all hours of the day and night. GREAT hotel stay — one of the best in recent memory. Kudos to the tremendous customer service!

Awesome hotel! The rooms are beautiful and up to date with USB ports everywhere! The TVs are real HD and the bathroom… that mirror is EVERYTHING. The bed was comfortable overall it was worth it. It's in a good spot with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and close to the monuments. If I can I'll definitely stay here again.

The rooms are amazing. Had a friend come down and stay for her birthday and we had a ball, it's nice to have a luxury hotel at a inexpensive price. I might just book a room to get away.

Wonderful service! I arrived early with colleagues who were at another hotel. I was able to relax and work in the M Lounge and wow! Friendly staff who was attentive and kind during the entire day. I had to work, and they kept a constant clean room, stocked snacks and food, and friendly smiles for hours. My room is one of the best I've stayed in at a Marriott.

Staff were pleasant and the hotel overall seemed nice. The location was a little noisy, but it is in the city. The TV in the room was exceptionally large.

This hotel is clean and tidy. The service was amazing. The cleaning lady had was so friendly and mind that we left here a nice ti0 for her hard work. Will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Washington. It is located in a good spo, not to far from all the tourist stops, and it wasn't expensive for my Uber rides to get to them.

The renovations are very nice. The rooms are fairly large and new. The bathroom is a little small but very nice. There is a Starbucks right around the corner and two great restaurants across the street. It is a long walk to the 3 nearby Metro stops.

Very nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff from front desk to cleaning staff. They have a bar and a restaurant. In the afternoon they usually have snacks or sample drinks. Bottled water is always available at the front desk. The room was nice. The only downside was there was no freezer in the very small mini fridge, but they do have freezer by the front desk and they kept our cold packs frozen for us. The hotel charges for parking. Valet allows you to take the car out as often as you need for one price. Only had a problem once getting rhe car quickly. We ended up waiting almost 20min. Overall this was a great hotel that made our stay enjoyable.

Well run Marriott establishment with all amenities required for a business or personal stay. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Great location. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice gym including treadmills and free weights.

Pretty nice interior. Only attended for a breakfast ceremony so I can't comment on the rooms. The conference room was pretty nice. Breakfast was good, a little small though. Overall pretty solid time, no complaints. That said without knowing the cost I can't tell if it was a good price for the quality.

The stay is correct, the rooms are spacious but a bit old, rooms are carpeted. A delay does not put free Wi-Fi in the rooms. The breakfast well. The beds very comfortable.

Absolutely wonderful stay at the Marriott in Georgetown! Catherine was a real treat, her attitude was very upbeat and helpful and she even sent us a nice surprise after finding out we were celebrating our anniversary. The room was very comfortable (especially the bed, which I did NOT want to leave behind) and clean, but it was a little outdated — if that sorry of thing matters. Sirens and horns were our wake up call around 6:30a, but that is almost to be expected in a bustling metropolitan area. Hotel is located conveniently near plenty of fine & casual dining and shops. Highly recommend!

I was very surprised to not find a safe in the room and when I called the front desk I was told that not all the rooms have them and I could use the safe deposit box at the front desk? Really? So every time I have to secure my laptop or wallet I have to go to th front desk? In 2016 even low rate hotels have safes. I would expect that a Marriott property surely would. Disappointing.

This was our second stay at the Georgetown Marriott in the last 6 months. Staff is responsive and courteous. The food is very good for a hotel. The rooms are nice and always clean. My only complaint is that only specific rooms have an in-room safe and refrigerator.

The location for this property is great. The common areas are very nice however I found my room to be very well used and somewhat rundown. My room was very clean though. I do have to say that this hotel has hands down the friendliest staff that I have ever experienced! Every single person, from the doorman to housekeeping have been incredibly friendly and helpful.

Employees were pleasant and helpful. The lobby and restaurant were spectacular. The bed was one of the most comfortable ever. I would say the parking situation/cost is a huge downfall. The room also needed to be updated. The TV wasn't HD, it had inputs but changing inputs on the TV were blocked. The temperature in the room never got to a comfortable level, it was either too hot or too cold.

Standard business hotel. Slightly out of date, but apparently new owner and renovation next year. On the plus side the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall good experience.

I love Marriotts. However, the staff at the Washington Marriott Georgetown are the most friendly across the board. All Marriotts have great customer service, but here they turn it up a notch.

It was ok. The service was amazing. Rooms are small. Needs renovation. Nice lobby with a cool bar. Parking sucks $45 / day.

Good hotel. Simple design. Cosy room and very cosy bed. Third floor has laundry and gym but but when I came to do my laundry discovered that it doesnt work. Has construction going on now so it's better to stay during weekend if you want to avoid the noise.

I had an awful and frustrating experience with the front desk at this hotel. They confused the rate but blamed on me, I booked 189D for double beds with breakfast but they said it was Executive King size bed rate and the breakfast was not included. But my room had double beds… the front desk kept insisting that I had to prove that I chose that rate, made me go to my room, get my laptop causing a lot of inconvenience. I was not satisfied at all with the service I received. I do not recommend this hotel.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The safe was in the nightstand instead of the closet. Front desk lent me a charger for my tablet because I lost mine and a razor because I forgot to pack one. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning the mess in the room. Breakfast was simple but good. 4 star because the pool was still close for renovation.

Friendly personnel. This Marriott is not a real one. I have been using Marriott for 15y now but this is nowhere close to what Is call a Marriott. -Pay for parking? -Pay for breakfast? -Pool in construction for a year? -Old outdated rooms On the other end their stuff is extremely friendly. They let me charge my Tesla in the parking.

I stayed at the Washington Marriott Georgetown a few weeks ago with several of my colleagues for an annual conference. We originally planned to stay at the Marriott Marquis for convenience, since that was where the conference was being held, but all of the rooms at the Marquis were booked. The front desk staff at the Marquis recommended the Marriott Georgetown as the next best alternative (in terms of both cost and distance) for the class of hotel we were interested in, and I ended up being very happy with their recommendation. The staff at the Washington Marriott Georgetown were knowledgeable about the DC metro area and very attentive. I had several special requests when I booked my room, and the front desk staff made every attempt to accommodate my needs. The location was great — walking distance to several shops and restaurants in Dupont, and a Starbucks and Walgreens around the corner. It's also a short walk from the hotel to the Whole Foods across from the Foggy Bottom metro stop, and about a 10 minute Uber ride in morning traffic to the Convention Center. The two reasons for giving the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 are: 1) The hotel was very nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. However, it is good quality for the price and meets the expectations of travelers who are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay with a few basic amenities. Essentially, what most people have come to expect from the Marriott Brand.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet and great location. No safe box in the room, no fridge, no free internet. Dull Hallway lighting and old carpet. Hope renovations take care of these stuffs.

Stood here while studying law in school and the hotel was wonderful. The staff so friendly and willing to help. The housekeeping was eager to reach my every need and the room service was very tasty for a Marriott! I got a very good rate by showing my passport and AAA/Student Advantage. If you need a place to stay go here.

I had the need to contact the Hotel to assist with a surprise for my wife. I spoke with Shalima, she was the friendliest and most accomodating representative of any hotel I could have ever hoped to reach! Based purely on my contact with her I can highly recommend the staff and service of the hotel, nothing short of wonderful! We enjoy the accomodations and hotel overall as well.

When we checked in as a party of four, we were told the room that we had booked with two queen beds was not guaranteed, only "requested". They searched and found a room with two full size beds for us. The room was poorly ventilated and the decor was dated. The room service has an unlisted $5 charge for delivery on top of overpriced food. The elevator is so slow many guests can be found using the staircase. The hot tub is overly chlorinated. An employee was scrubbing the floor next to the hot tub, splashing dirty water into the tub. When the lobby employee said "Have a nice day" — it was pure BS. -disgruntled New Yorker.
