We have a had a very rough stay here so far. Supposedly, The District is supposed to be a more upscale stay than the Embassy Suites, but although the rooms are nice, our experience has not been one that we will choose to repeat. We were given a room with a broken shower. After going to tell the front desk, the said that the room we were given was actually out of service and we should not have received it. They switched us to a new room. This one was about half the size of the one we'd originally booked, so we had to go right back to the front desk. They gave us a third room, but when we got there, this one was also the wrong size. Back to the front desk. We were given a fourth room. When we got there, it was the right size, but a staff member soon showed up to tell us that if we chose to stay in it, we would have to move again the following night since it would then be out of service. So BACK to the front desk we went and we were given a fifth room. Once we got there, it was ALSO the wrong size, but at this point, when we went back to the front, it was 10:30pm and they told us we would have to keep the room because they were closing… It's a hotel… The front desk shouldn't "close! " But we were so tired, so we stayed in the room. The manager showed up and brought us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. This was a very nice gesture, however, none of us drinks, so we gratefully declined. A beautiful chocolate dessert showed up five minutes later.

Slightly upgraded rooms from Embassy Suites of which The District Club occupies the top 3 floors. A wine cooler instead of a fridge,. What's up with that?. They call a kitchenette but it's just a microwave. No utensils. We've stayed at nicer HGV resort locations. But, it is in Washington DC and it's in a great location.

We are off to a really bad start of this weekend in Washington. When we ask a concierge to recommend a restaurant… pls recommend something good! Cafe Deluxe is garbage. Brutal service and food was sub par. Come on Hilton Club sort your things out. As a diamond member of Hilton Honours I expect more from a concierge recommendation. Marriott and Starwood are looking pretty good right about now.

Very nice hotel. It is the top three floors of the Embassy Suites, but no really discernible difference between the two. Included free breakfast and snacks in the evening. It's a short walk or cab ride to local attractions.

This is an amazing spot for our family! The amenities are great and they have a free LARGE breakfast with plenty of options not to mention an evening snack and free drinks. The kids enjoyed the pool and the rooms were spacious and very well designed.

I love this location! Easy access to the metro, huge breakfast with omelette station, hot oatmeal, fresh fruit and everything else in between including cappuccino! Everyone was so nice whenever we were greeted in the hallway or elevator. I can't say enough good things about this place. Unsurpassed service at every turn!

Just another hotel… I certainly wouldn't consider this place a resort. Everything available to resort owners is also available to the hotel guests. The rooms were just hotel quality. The best feature of this place is the omelette station for breakfast, but since you will be sharing with the buses of hotel guests, get there early before the crowds fill every space where you might stand or walk.

Check in verry helpful hotel good. Heating in room noise. Very comfy.

I was there for a sales presentation for Hilton Grand Vacations. Beautiful hotel. Everyone was very nice.

Update to previous reivew: Respect for the diligence righting wrongs I must say I am completely satisfied and overwhelmingly pleased by the staff's diligence in reaching out and expressing their concern about my experience. I have had calls from Eric MacMartin and JoNate Leak about their concerns over my stay and their perseverance to ensure everyone at the District has a great and pleasurable time. I can truly say that after having varying communications with the team I am happy to update my last rating cause above everything else, customer service resonates with me. Both Eric and JoNate have show this and continue to keep my confidence in Hilton. I will be happy to come back and visit. =========================================================== Bad Check In Experience and overcharged for unused parking When we arrived around Midnight the Hilton Grand vacations employees were gone so we had to report to the Embassy suites reception desk. First she put us in the wrong room, my 6.5 month pregnant wife was already tired and in bed only for them to come tell us we are in the wrong room. I had to wake her and tell her we need to move. When she asked about parking they didn't point me in the right direction in fact I parked outside and figured I would deal with it in the morning after all its 2 AM and I was exhausted.

Amazing stay. I enjoyed the hotel. However, there is no distinguishing between the District and the Embassy Suites. The breakfast was the same for each hotel. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay there.

Have been here twice now for our family trip to Washington DC at XMas and we love the convenience to DC sights. The staff is wonderful and helpful. Rooms are well appointed and modern. Whole Foods and Starbucks are nearby.

It was a great location and the guest services helped boook us an amazing outing.

Excellent service and food was very good. Reception time from 5 to 7 during the week with complimentary adult beverages.

Nice hotel, connected to the Embassy Suites. Very large rooms with extra sitting room, and a huge breakfast area. Adjacent to plenty of downtown life.

The staff at The District are phenomenal! The facilities are being updated and their progress is evident. This is a great location and quick too Georgetown, the mall and eateries and shopping.

The staff and the hotel were great, however the "hard sell" to buy into the club was disappointing. We eventually went to a presentation & the promised thankyou gifts were never seen or offered. We went along interested in the possibilities and promised no pressure. There was pressure. Am sorry to say it would put me off staying at another Hilton as I don't want to be rude to people who are just doing their job.

I couldn't agree with Walter's review more. As a HGVC owner I couldn't be more disappointed by this location. They should inform you before you cash in a ton of points to stay. It's nothing more then an embassy suites which I normally love but no extra value added anything for a member. Horrible, horrible, horrible! I will never come back. They could've redeemed themselves when we asked what is different between me staying here and just another embassy suites guest. They offered nothing. Their selling point was upgraded carpeting. Ha what a joke! Don't waste your points. So disappointing!

Rooms are good sized, but no fridge (besides a wine fridge) and no freezer. Not bad, just not what I'm used to with a HGVC property. No stove, laundry, or fridge in the suite. Good property, plenty of garage parking.

Very disappointing! We have been HGVC Elite owners for 13 years and own in the Hilton Club NYC. This has been our worst Hilton experience ever! Hilton Club should be ashamed to put their name on this place. It's just the Embassy Suites (no disrespect to Embassy). Just painting a room and remodeling the bathroom doesn't make something a Hilton Club. Horrible value, no customer service, Pool is super small only about 15 kids, hot tub is a joke. Will never use this place again! Nothing about this makes it a Hilton Club. Just book the embassy hotel but use the convention center location which is closer to the National Mall.

The location is quiet, set halfway between the Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom metro stations near Georgetown. The District comprises the upper three floors of the Embassy Suites. The rooms are basically upgraded Embassy Suites rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

In my opinion the best hotel to stay at in DC for the price. We stayed overnight on a Saturday for around $200 for 4 people in one room. My buddy and I crashed on the couch while his Mom and sister shared the bed. Complimentary happy hour at 5:30-7:30 was awesome along with lots of snacks. Pool was great and room had everything we needed. Definitely recommend The District if you're trying to stay in a very nice place worth the price.

The top 3 levels of Embassy Suites are Hilton's District Club. Basically timeshare suites. Very modern, very nice and part of the new Urban collection by HGVC. Staff is wonderful, service excellent. My first time to DC and I have to say the location is PERFECT! The free breakfast and happy hour are nice perks also.

Clean, plush rooms. Very comfortable, amazing facilities.

The hotel is fantastic, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. It is also located in a prime appt, relatively close to the monuments and right next to DuPont circle. The rooms are modern and sleek, however our bathroom did not have a lock. Parking is a hassle however they have their own garage.

The service was great, the food was good, the rooms were very nice too.

Awesome staff and great hotel It's flawless.

Spacious, modern rooms with pocket doors seperating the sitting room area, which has a pull-out bed, and the bedroom. The middle elevator was broken, however, making it a 5+ minute ordeal just to get onto an elevator.

I enjoyed a night in this spacious, elegant and comfortable suite. The walk-in shower was great, the robes cozy, and the bed extremely good.

A fancy upper half to the Embassy Suites. The restaurant and gym are good additions.

It is an Embassy Suites and Hilton combined. A the time I was there, the restaurant was not up and running. They were renovating. Still, Hilton quality of service.
