Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to DC!

The Yelp reviews are most accurate. Service is terrible. From the night staff taking forever to unlock the main entrance when we arrived at night to the bellperson loudly saying “Oh, you’re finally leaving? ” while we were checking out — we experienced inhospitable service. A maintenance worker even woke us up just after 8 am banging on the door nonstop and we had a DND sign on the door handle. It was a routine check, nothing emergent and it could’ve been done when the room was vacated. Then, he had an attitude when we asked for his name. A few hours later, he pushed past me carrying a ladder to get onto the elevator as I was getting off the elevator. He didn’t wait until I excited, he didn’t say “Excuse me. ” No manner whatsoever. We also had to keep running to the front desk for small things that were not done (i. E. Asking for our breakfast vouchers that should’ve been provided upon checkout). It’s a shame because the accommodations are not subpar, but the customer service is.

Great location close to METRO.

I normally stay in a Marriott property, if one is available. This hotel did not disappoint. Upon arrival the doormen were all jovial and remained so the entire time. They definitely set the tone for our stay. Every time we exited & entered they always had something kind & friendly to say. When we checked in we were asked if we'd like daily maid service. We said yes, and our room was freshened up, with new towels & remade beds, each day. The room was very clean and the bed & pillow extremely comfortable. I will definitely stay here again!

I stayed for 5-days at this hotel, and was disappointed. There was no maid service at all each day. I was informed by the front desk that maid service had to be requested. The hotel is a bit to be desired. The hotel is nice, and in a prime location. The non maid service left a bad taste with me.

This hotel has been extremely accommodating to me and my family. I have never had such a good experience at a hotel before. My son ended up getting a stomach bug while we were vacationing and the staff went above and beyond for him. Absolutely great experience.

The location was very central. I could walk to all the major monuments, and the hotel is on a the metro line, so even more convenient. The restaurant was amazing. It ate there for 3 meals and loved it all. The rooms were clean, and room service was the most convenient I've ever seen. No exorbitant fees, no signing. I will stay here every time I go!

Marriott's quality feels good! Very well cared for and up to expectations. The location is strategic to be able to see everything about government Washington without taking the metro, but slightly uncomfortable if you want to see the old part of the city and a little more evening movement especially! Get ready for so many very equal offices and… peace of mind to sleep!

Great service, very personable and friendly staff. The rooms were in good shape, and kept clean. Have to knock off a star for two reasons. First, there was a lot of noise from the street that woke me a few times. To be expected from CCDC, but I thought the sound could have been dampened better. Second, the concierge lounge is a bit sparse — apparently that is in a state of flux and will improve in the future, so take it with a grain of salt.

Had a nice stay here. The staff from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the restaurant were awesome! Every staff member I engaged with was extremely helpful, professional, and courteous. The facility itself, though needs some work… it’s tired. My room was “clean” but it had a foul, musty odor that was there the whole time. You can tell this place gets a lot of traffic and could use some attention.

Great hotel with good service. Rooms are big and clean… Booked an accessible room with roll-in shower… it got plenty of space and bathroom was great… Localization is great as well… near a subway station with elevator to go downstairs. So, if you are wheelchair user, I'd recommend this place to stay.

We had an amazing stay at the Marriot-Metro Center. The location was perfection! Just a few blocks from The White House. The service staff was absolutely incredible — especially Joseph the bellhop. He went out of his way to make my kids laugh and got them tiny stuffed animals that they would not let go of! He instantly made things better and easier for us! Also, the concierge was helpful and gave great recommendations. Overall, this staff is incredible and they should be very proud to do what they do!

You might think that the best thing that this hotel has going for it is the location. To be sure, the location is hard to beat, but they staff and management are work purposefully to make sure that isn't the only memorable thing. Each person that we encountered — from the bell staff to front desk to housekeeping — was helpful, engaging, and attentive. They offered suggestions when needed and never left you to figure something out for yourself. The facility itself is well maintained — at least we didn't see any issues during our stay in two rooms and the utilization of the pool and fitness area. When initially checking in to one of our rooms the key reader was low on battery. Although it was obviously an inconvenience the staff made quick work of getting the battery changed and us in to our room. There is an elevator to the metro literally 15 seconds away from the side door / Starbucks entrance. Super convenient if / when needed, or the facility is centrally located to many attractions in walking distance. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Washington Marriott is the place to stay. For All your conference needs. Entertainment family vacation time. What ever tome it is. I have never stayed at a place that was so personable. Safe. Clean. And most of all comfortable. Thank you so much.

Really like this hotel. Everything was great! This hotel is located at Metro Center of DC with four metro lines just around the corner. Macy is across the street, DC center is a couple of blocks away and surrounded with many great restaurants. Only inconvenience was trying to go to Lincon memorial which takes a lot of walking. There’s metro to the Mall, capital building, etc… Hotel is very nice. I recommend this hotel.

This hotel is amazing! The employees are gracious and respectful. After a certain time, you have to use your key to get in the building. Which I’m assuming is for Security. The Metro Subway is less than a 1 min walk. There are a couple of flaws I have. For one, theirs no Microwave or Mini fridge in the rooms. And my bed sheet had this long brown line and what looks like a wet stain. I can tell that the sheets weren’t changed. And that if the rooms have been unused, they don’t change the sheets. Just like the review NBC did last year on hotel maids not changing sheets or cleaning the room properly. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Had an overnight stay at the Washington Marriott while I was in town to enjoy a show and had a wonderful experience. When checking in I realized to my horror that I had made my online reservations for the wrong night! Thanks to the wonderful staff they were able to straighten it all out for me in no time. Had an amazing nights sleep on the very comfortable plush king bed, and enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Will make this my Go-To place when in DC.

We had a nice stay here in the dead of an east coast winter! Lol. The concierge, front desk, and gift shop workers were all very courteous and friendly. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. It was a short drive to the museum's but if you visit when the weather is good (which I recommend you staying here), I'm sure walking to your destinations would be good due its location.

Most everything walking distance and metro access on corner. Check in easy, quick and they even have us our room several hours early. Prices were reasonable and the room did the trick. Beds were smaller than I'm used to, and would've paid more for 2 queen size beds if given the option. Pool was ok and warm, gym was adequate but with all the walking only used it for rolling out my sore muscles. All in all good for a short visit.

Everyone is friendly here. Rooms and restaurant were clean. While checking in, we mentioned we were here celebrating an anniversary. The last night of our stay, we got a call asking if they could deliver room service compliments of the staff. A few minutes later, wine and chocolate covered strawberries arrived with a handwritten note from the man who checked us in. When looking to stay in DC again, I will book here.

Strike two… last year it was "we 'upgraded' you to a suite with a 'murphy' bed… turns out it was a hospitality suite with a pull down murphy bed. The mattress was not bad but when one moves on the bed, the entire bed shakes. Complained and was moved to a different room. This year it was "we have a nice 'quiet' room for you"… guess they were trying to convince me that it was 'quiet'. We are next to a stairwell which is not often used but is close to where the pipes move water or whatever and the room has a very noticeable roar. Have not complained but planning to have our entire group at another hotel next year. Staff not very flexible. Could take some lessons from the models at the Ritz…

Service and staff are outstanding and the bartender at Fire And Sage in the lobby are excellent. Eric the concierge is outstanding and get can you connected to anything DC. Rooms are updated with mobile key ability. Absolutely excellent location with all exciting things within a 5 minute walk.

Nice location. Walkable to all of the monuments and museums. Plenty of retaurants nearby and on the same block as the Center City Metro stop so you can get anywhere quickly.

The Marriott at Metro Center was perfect for our weekend getaway. Coming from Pennsylvania we parked at one of the outer Metro stations, took the train to Metro Center and had a very short walk to the hotel. We were able to check in earlier than expected and were well pleased with the spacious corner room on the tenth floor. The hotel is well situated to explore the capital area. Our accommodation met or exceeded every expectation and was reasonably priced. We'll be happy to return again.

Nice rooms, spacious lobby, and good staff. The workout facility is lacking a little given the pool stinks. The executive lounge is decent although I have been in better ones in the DC metro area.

The hotel was conviently placed in the heart of town, and close to a metro hub. There were plenty of restaurant choices close by. The rooms were modern and very clean. The staff was incredibly friendly.

Nice hotel. Had some problems with the Wi-Fi and had to have tech support help but they were fast and polite. Update: So actually the Wi-Fi stopped working again after the first day. We weren't able to get it working without having to call the tech support again. It was easier to just use cell phone data, so we did. They charge $16/day for it, but at least they were nice enough not to charge us for it. On the last day of the stay a security guard gave me a hard time about the prop gun I was carrying for the convention I was attending. Literally just walking from the revolving door to the elevators in a wig, purple outfit, and body paint, with a plastic rifle was apparently too much of a problem. Will not be staying here next year.

I am Preimum elite member and this is my first bad experience with Marriott. The refrigerator in my room was not working properly. Complained in the morning it was replaced, however it was replaced with another bad one. I complained again in the evening when we came back after city tour. It was replaced again with a working one
However, Due to this home made food for my 13 month son got bad and he had to survive on milk only. … I was told I can have the milk warmed for my son from kitchen. They were using hot tap water in a container and putting the milk bottle in it to warm the milk. If I would have been told this before I would not have wasted my time going down 14 floors near midnight to warm the milk. I could have done the same in my room. I would not recommend this Marriott hotel for folks having kids less then 5yrs as there is no facility for small kids here.

Great hotel, comfortable and accommodating. Starbucks in the lobby, nice amenities. The room has the most comfortable beds, nice extras, cleaning available. Definitely recommend for business /conference accommodation.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very nice and clean. Marriott gave us a free upgrade to a corner room with a view. I will stay here again when I come back to DC.

My review takes in consideration it is a Marriott. So, the analysis is based on others hotels of the same brand and category. Nice staff, easy check in. Rooms are ok, a bit on the small size. Overall, the hotel seems to be waiting for a renovation. Nice gym in terms of size, unfortunately with some equipments in need for lube. What is not so nice is that the pool access is through the gym and the floor is usually wet and the pool door (hot and humid area) is hardly closed by the families accessing that area. I stayed here as a gold elite member, expecting to use the concierge lounge only to find out they close the lounge during weekends. Very disappointing. The free breakfast is also not so free… You can't pick eggs or pancakes from the buffet (just a continental breakfast) or you have to pay an additional fee. The location is great but there are many other options close to this area worth checking too.

Location is great, you are in the heart of the city. Walking around is easy as well or uber if necessary. Rooms are nice but at a hotel like this I would expect a mini fridge and a microwave. They also give sufficient towels.

The entire stay was so perfect, I just can't recommend a better hotel. The staff was just so professional and friendly and just the best hospitality I've seen. The comfort the recommendation every thing was top of the line and the most relaxing trip. I recommend them.

They have very few cable channels and it's ridiculous to me to have to pay for Wi-Fi especially in a higher end hotel chain. 50 something dollars a day to park was outrageous as well. Very limited room service menu. Not my favorite place to stay. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

I was there for a one-way conference so I didn't stray too far from the conference rooms. It was unseasonably warm outside and the rooms were slightly warm but their system handled kept it comfortable for the most part. The bathrooms were a bit hard to find but they were clean. The catered box lunches were high-quality. They had multiple options and had more than enough food in them. I never had an issue with them running out of snacks or drinks.

My review is for the restaurant within the hotel: Fire and sage. Let me Begin by saying how I was blown out of the water by the exceptional service provided by the bartender named Rosa and the quality and execution of the food served. My friends had come into town and we ventured downtown and decided to step in. We were met with a big smile and warmth at the bar. They have a good variety of alcohol stocked and beers (local, domestic, & imports etc) so you can't go wrong. Wr quickly learned that Rosa is an expert mixologist who can execute anything you'd like or imagine. She provided us excellent food choices: Grilled Ceasar was to die for!, wings were delicious a balance of crispy juiciness and sauce, and fries were great! (Yea we wanted to have some bar food). I watched her glide behind the bar work ease and make the other patrons at the bar happy with both food and drink selections. I can't wait to come back and definitely check out their happy hour too! Folks like this bartender make the world a better place glad you have this jewel at your bar creating greatness.

I had just a one night stay here, but they were very accommodating when I showed up early to drop my bag. Room very clean and smelled good staff was amazing anyone and everyone I talked to was very pleseant and kind a gentleman named burnell talked to us for a good 20 minutes and made us feel very at home and another gentelman named Joe working the door did the same made my girlfriends daughter feel very welcomed at the hotel overall great experience and cannot wait to get back down there again.

Marriott at metro is a well designed hotel, with spacious rooms. Had an issue with an amenity, but it was fixed immediately by front desk. Staying in a room with double beds for 4 nights. Location is central to DC and is walking distance to many locales.

We travel mostly for pleasure, not business, but we are Marriott members and often stay with the chain. I cannot begin to express how attentive the staff at this hotel is. You couldn't stand around for a second without someone asking how they can be of service. And it is done very genuinely. Once I got home I realized that I left 2 chargers plugged into the wall. I called the evening of checkout and left a message. I called the next morning to follow up and the items already had been retrieved and packaged. No charge to send them back via UPS Ground. Two days after our stay, I realized that I had lost an earring in the room. I figured it was long gone. The next day, we received the package with the chargers AND my missing earring. That pretty much blew my mind. Location is perfect for downtown attractions and the Metro is right there. FYI Wifi is free for Marriott Reward members.

Went to a conference in March 2015 and the staff was exceptionally pleasant. From the doorman, bellman, concierge, front desk, housekeeping, security and even the employees at Starbucks. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated but one floor had a slight mildew stinch. I'm assuming it was the chlorine from the pool on the floor below. You have to pay for internet service in the rooms but the lobby and Starbuck offered free Wi-Fi with ample seating. But overall I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Typical Marriott. Clean, modern, smallish bath, comfortable mattress, etc. AND expensive as hell Wi-Fi. What gains you, Marriott, by continuing to charge for an amenity that other top tier hoteliers provide free? Change this ridiculous and outdated policy.

The room was a little worn down, but it was clean and met my basic needs for comfort and cleanliness. Staff and amenities were great.

Starbucks on site, up to date comfortable rooms, they could be more generous with their shower gel for 2 people, the breakfast buffet is too expensive, we walked to Lincoln's Waffle House for breakfast our 2nd and 3rd mornings, room cleaning is a bit slow, so inform the desk staff when you go out. This hotel is steps away from the metro elevator and exceptionally convenient if you want to use the metro.

I stayed here the weekend of october 4. The staff was very friendly. My only concern was the weight room. It seems as if with all the equipment that they have to work out with, they would show some care to their machines. They havent been oiled in months! they're rusting, but other that, they had cold water and apples for after your workout. It was nice. I wasnt use to having to pay $14 a day for internet (which I didnt), but the stay was very pleasant and clean and staff was attentive.

I stayed here with my kids on Saturday 8/2. The front desk staff was polite and able to get us checked in early. The pool was nice and the towels were restocked on a regular basis. We only had dessert at the Fire and Sage restaurant but it was excellent. With the hotel being located at the Metro Center station we had easy access to the Washington D. C. And were able to easily commute around the city. I would stay here again, as well as recommend it to others.

Best stay ever! The rooms were spacious, very clean, comfortable, and quiet. For a large city, you expect to here street noise, sirens, and other hotel guests on busy holiday weekends; however, we never heard a sound. The hotel is walking distance to the National Mall, with the Metro Stop just steps from the front door. There is a large variety of restaurants to choose from in the area for all budgets as well as a Starbucks in the lobby that opened at 6am. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and would not think of staying anywhere else if I returned to D. C.

Nice rooms, beautiful lounge with starbucks coffee shop, decent restaurant (perfect to grab drinks and chill). Conveniently located at walking distance from the capitol, white house, memorial and the museums. Metro just steps away from the hotel. Bunch of underground public parking around the hotel. Marriott charges $50 per day for vallet parking. Underground parking all around the hotel range from $10 — $20 (Sundays closed). Can park on the streets on Sundays and holidays at no charge. Lots of parking spots available around the hotel.
