We were trying to make a reservation for a group but they cancelled it although we agreed that we will arrange everything 03 days prior arriving. We didn't feel welcomed or wanted. The manager was rude when we spoke on phone. Happily we managed to find another hotel at the last moment. I will never consider it or recommend it even if all hotels are booked, I would rather stay at Mcdonalds or outside than considering it. FYI, I would gave zero or below but the review didn't allow it.

Our stay was fine, the staff was nice and mostly helpful. The rooms are somewhat renovated but the carpet and the bathrooms are old and leaky, no water pressure. There's a fridge, microwave and TV with cable plus HBO. Breakfast is decent, mostly coffee, tea, some fruit, croissants and yogurt. There's free coffee and tea available all day in the lobby. Overall, a decent stay for one night and the price payed.

When searching for a place for my one night stay, all I needed was somewhere cheap, clean, and secure. This met all of those criteria on paper and upon arrival I was extremely happy with my choice. Anywhere else in the area for the price is likely going to be a motel and as I was traveling alone, I did not want to have an exterior door to my room which ended up being the deciding factor when booking. Felt very secure. Yes, it is dated, but it was clean and smelled clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Water temp was consistent and pressure was great. Friendly staff at the front desk.

An older style building but kept clean. Would benefit from updating. Helpful staff, excellent transport links to Washington. BUT anyone with mobility problems and no car will struggle due to the very steep drives. There are no steps.

The hotel was the purest fall. We had a room where the mold spread on the ceiling. Of course, it smelled like it. The only positive thing about the hotel was that staff are very friendly and gave us a new room. Attention you can't open windows for airing in this hotel.

For the price wars OK. The car is relatively fast in Washington.

Was tempted to give them 3 stars, as they completely forgot to give us our wake-up call… but we managed to get up and get going on-time anyway. You know, compared to a noticeably-more-expensive name-brand chain hotel, Sure — this one is a bit underwhelming. No pool, no huge lobby with a glowing fireplace in the middle and giant TVs with comfortable couches and tables and furniture to kick back and relax and lounge around in. The beds were a bit smaller than other hotels (doubles, instead of queens, I presume? ), And the rooms generally needed some updating. And the hallway to get to your rooms — oh boy, you definitely could film an eerie B-class horror movie in there, if you wanted to (loooong, sorta narrow, undecorated, awkwardly-white-colored lighting, low ceiling) … But the actual bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, provided what needed to be provided, the hotel itself seemed to be safe and in a decent area, the desk staff were nice and knowledge and even made change for me (since I guess the local bus didn't give change for your fare). Breakfast was nothing impressive, but enough to fill you (apples, bananas, yogurts, crussaints, coffee). It is what it is — a cheap hotel in close-enough proximity to the big city, with a few local amenities to get you by. If you're looking to 'wow' the family — Don't choose this place.

It is clean, good value for money. Central location for my needs. Amenities close by. I would stay there again.

No frills, good stay for a night or two in a budget. I think this place is strictly for adults, I couldn't believe the kids screaming around. There's absolutely nothing here for kids or the surrounding area. The staff is always nice here.

Their workers are lovely and listening. It's recommendable guest house. Wonderful service!

Close to DC, affordable, they have free parking, quick grab and go breakfast. Althoguh the Wi-Fi is not good, I would go there again. Good for visitors not for business trips.

This is a simple place to stay for your visit. The rooms aren't huge, but they are very well maintained and the beds were very comfy. The facilities are clean, the staff is very helpful. The hotel gave us local dining options and the metro bus stop was less than 100 feet away. We got a great deal for our stay and will stay again when we visit next time.

Awesome. Came to DC with my mom and stayed here 1 night. Very clean, smells good, friendly people, ok breakfast, great location (15min walk from metro), affordable. Would definitely come back here!

Wi-Fi didn't work and a leak formed in our room about 10 minutes after we arrived. We left to eat and upon return towels were on the floor but no other work done to correct leak. We were never offered a new room and had a two day reservation. Breakfast consisted of bananas, apples, bread and yogurt. Staff was very friendly and rooms were clean.

I have stayed at this motel many times over the 17 years, that I have been in the DC metro area. It is always a restful and comfortable time spent. When I return here, it always feels like I have returned home. I recommend this property for any seasoned travelers. — R. Breault.

Hotel provides basic necessities. Rooms are dated but clean and sufficient. My bed was comfortable and I woke up with NO aches and pains. The receptionist from Ethiopia, "Hero" (? ), she was very, very, helpful.

Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, from front desk to housekeeping. The rooms are impeccably clean. The location is excellent, very close to several very good restaurants, and just a short drive away from the DC monuments. And the water pressure is the best I've ever experienced in a hotel! Highly recommended.

Nice room and fabulous bed. Free Wi-Fi, but quite slow. Breakfast only pastries and muffins, don't mind simple but would have liked something not sweet, like a sandwich.

The place is nice although the beds are not. The entrance is made only for cars, it is difficult for people to climb that slope.

Not fancy but clean, comfortable, with a mini fridge/microwave and friendly staff. Nice and close to everything.

This place doesn't deserve a star but does deserve a review so no one makes the mistake like I did and stay at this hotel. The elevator was so tiny… barely fit 4 people… when elevator doors opened the floor smelled so bad, it was musty and muggy feeling. Then when you get to your room the room smelled of mold… the bed linens and carpet were moist. The bathroom and room had hair on the floor the shower had no pressure and door wouldnt close right and the room was super tiny! The parking lot and neighborhood were sketchy. If it wasn't so late when we arrived we would have left. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left early the next morning. When checking out there were wants on the plate where the muffins were at. VERY Disappointed. Pro-friendly staff.

Clean, free parking, quiet location, coffee anytime in the lobby, even a little bookshelf for guests. Small rooms, renovated but basic. Great price for being 10 min from DC. No issues to note.

Overall we had a good experience. The staff was nice and helpful. The room was not bad. It smelt a little off but it wasn't anything serious. The water in the shower had an off smell as well. Almost like mold. Overall though for what we needed it was good and at a good price.

This place does not deserve any stars as I had the worst experience here. Firstly, when I asked for a toothbrush, I was told that I had to pay for it, which was located in a vending machine. Secondly, while sleeping, I felt something crawling on my face, I swatted at my face and jumped out of the bed to find a creepy crawly on the pillow. I screamed and contacted the manager on duty. She immediately came to my room, apologized, took away the creepy crawly and told us that she would report this to the motel manager when he arrived, in a few hours. We waited for the motel manager to arrive and told him what happened and that we would like a refund. Since we paid through a third party, we had to contact the third party for a refund. The third party then contacted the motel and told us that the motel manager would give us a refund but put us on the "do not return" list. As if I would ever return there.

Location isn't bad at all. We are just outside of everything which is nice for the sake of peace and quite. However, it is an older hotel and there's been some things here and there that we've noticed about maintenance. There is a grocery store and cvs in walking distance from the hotel which has both been very nice and convenient. Overall for the money we paid we are happy.

This place was the best experience ever. We stayed here on New Years Eve and wow we had the BEST trip ever! The front desk gave us directions and train info and lots of great ideas for the night. Loved the location (even though me and my boyfriend had so much trouble finding our way back… had to Uber our fault though! ). It's up on a hill with a beautiful view. Great clean rooms, hot showers, and very wonderful front desk people throughout the night. They were so polite and understanding even in the worst of situations. We needed a little more help than the usual guests that night. Thank you all for being there for us. We will definitely be back again for another wonderful trip!

If you are simply looking for a clean and comfortable room, this is a good bet. However forget about the internet. The Wi-Fi connection is not only horrible but is also restricted. It doesn't allow you to browse resource heavy or streaming websites like netflix or YouTube and yet they advertise "free Wi-Fi".

Compared to what else is around in the area it was worth the price paid. The rooms are small but that was to be expected, staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and THERE WERE NO BEDBUGS! That seemed to be a reoccurring issue with hotels in the same range both distance and price. I would stay here again 100%. The bed was comfortable as well. Also, there were a TON OF places to eat and store within walking distance. Big plus.

I would not stay here again if my life depended on it. The experience was horrible but I tried to suck it up since it was my boyfriend's birthday. When we first got there to check in, they didnt have our information. The itinerary stated to check in after two, so we came after two and they couldnt find my name in the system. So we had to wait about 40 mins. When we finally got a key, we realized we would have to drag our heavy bags up the stairs bc there was no elevator. We started walking to the designated room and instantly the air turned stale and smoky after walking passed a certain room number. I assumed we were walking into the smoke zone because once we opened the door, it smelled like tons of people were in there smoking. Theres no way to air it out because the one window in the room could not open. I immediately went to the desk and she stated they had no more rooms. I honestly dont think she knew how to switch the rooms because another guy whispered something and then she said "Let me see what I can do". She ended up switching our room which was STILL in the smoke zone. But this time the smell wasnt as strong so my boyfriend tried to calm me down and I agreed. We dropped our bags off and went for food and a movie. When we came back, I took a shower and noticed that there were dirty spots on the ceiling and door. This prompted me to inspect the room further. One of the beds were broken. I found that the metal frame was sticking out when I hit my ankle on it.

Pros: Great location to get to DC. Just take the ART 55 bus and it will take you straight to Rosslyn Metro Station ask for a map here. Friendly service, comfy beds, and clean rooms & bathroom. Cons: Water temperature is temperamental, very thin walls. Breakfast includes fruits, cakes, coffee, donuts and a couple of juices. Overall, good for sleeping and wake up the next day to visit DC :).

Worst Hotel I've ever stayed in, period. Breakfast was a joke, Wi-Fi was the worst I've ever used. Place is too old and should be leveled. Don't stay here please, not even 1 star.

Decent for what is. The room had a bit of a smell at the entrance, but otherwise good for a cheap motel.

Their customer service was less than hospitable. They don't know when to do renovations. They have a very steep hill for a driveway almost impossible to drive up without your car rolling back into traffic. People who work the front desk have no respect for the customer and don't divulge critical information about your room if you are traveling for business. Refrigerators don't work well to keep your food cold. Their breakfast is terrible. Smells like cleaning chemicals in and out of rooms. All around terrible establishment.

Nice, clean place. Anyone else had a paranormal experience? Best price and great for DC tourists, here for sight seeing.

Honestly, haven't stayed there but for a 2 star hotel it is well managed. Needless to say, the reason of my one star rating is directed at Mr. Alam the General Manager; I called him earlier to schedule an interview as I live 45 minutes away but need a job… he states the correct things like any manager would like come in with your ID and fill an application. I was insulted as he wouldn't give me an explanation of my experience in hospitality my degrees and if he could simply email an application to me due to me being a Marine Veteran and disabled. I have a group of Marine reservists and active full time duty that will honor my transportation as that's not an issue. I concluded the conversation with Na Ma Ste an Indian proverb of harmony and can feel his vibe as he hung up without a thank you or allowing me to put my two cents. I actually also called yesterday 4 times around checkout time 12 ish until 3pm and the phone kept on ringing for each call 5 to 10 minutes. I understand that happens sometimes; but I actually had to re-check the phone number just to make sure that I was calling the correct hotel. Today I called a woman answered with a smile in her voice and was happy to hear the hotel actually exists. My brother is a top malpractice lawyer; and this is a grey area in Mr. Alam discriminated by my name and by my goodbye greeting of both Na Ma Ste and Salam Ulaykum as both mean same things. Cheap stay and a great accommodation for the price. Clean place, lobby, and rooms, quite friendly staff. All my family needed was a place to stay a few nights for Independence Day weekend and we didn't have a complaint. They were still cleaning our rooms when we got there, but it wasn't that big a deal.

Perfect Inn… Everything! Comfort, price, hospitality, location. Actually, for this price it is one of the best options… Don't miss it.

The previous reviews are pretty accurate. It's a great deal for the area you're in. Cheaper than all the other hotels in the same proximity. The free parking lot is key — other hotels nearby charge you (a lot) for parking. Street parking is a hassle. Short cab ride to fun bars in Claredon. Metro is a little far, but a mile cab ride or a long walk on nice days works well. Thin walls: fact. Comfy bed: fact. Never tried out the Wifi or the complimentary breakfast. They generously allowed us to check out an hour late without problem. Smaller room but nothing terrible. Very clean. My girlfriend and I were really happy about the stay. Staff members were kind also. I'd stay there again next time I was in the area.

Pretty clean and comfortable rooms. It was very relaxing to come back to the room after being outside during fall in DC. The people were kind and helpful as well. Prices are convenient, and location is strategic for visiting DC. However, the place has to be reached by bus or a 20 min walk from the nearest Metro station; thus, it might not be the place of its kind closest to DC. The location also made it difficult to access services such as laundry shops, although there was not problem with getting food. My only complain with the rooms is that Wi-Fi, despite being available 24hours, was slow. Overall, I enjoyed staying in this place.

First night here of my 5 night stay and already love it! Rooms are super clean and look great! Bed is comfortable! What I like most is the water pressure, can tell you how many hotels I've been in where its there is barely any water coming out of the shower head. Great customer service as well! :).

From the outside it looks like a shed hotel. But on the inside, the rooms are just as good if not better than the next holiday Inn you stay at. The breakfast is limited, but the rooms and bed were great! Price is good, and service was as well. But most of all was the beds. One of the Best beds I've ever slept in. I give it 4 stars because I like hotels that are nice yet inexpensive.

I am gonna give Inns of Virginia 5 starts because cost, cleanness and proximity to Washington, DC. I always recommend my friends stay here when visiting considering The Washington, DC Metropolitan hotels are expensive.

Get off Metro Rosslyn station. Take bus 3A or 3B. Bus stop about 1/2 block away from hotel. Small but clean rooms. Grocery store about 2 or 3 blocks away.
