Very disappointed. They do not take care of their honors members like the other Hilton hotels I have been too. You ask a question you get a rude answer. The room smelled of some sort of chemical or mildew? I asked and they looked at me like I was crazy. I had no idea their was a charge of $36 a day for parking. That was no where on their site. We got a room with 2 full size beds which really equates to a twin. I have never seen a full size bed this small! I typically love Hilton hotels but this was a disappointment.

The hotel general manager and front desk manager are the most rude hotel management I have ever encountered. When they refused to return my phone calls, corporate had to call them to force them to call me back. Even with corporate’s suggestion to refund an honors guest night stay for reasons beyond control, they still wouldn’t. Hilton corporate was so apologetic on their behalf and made the situation right on their end. This is specific location does not take care of their honors members.

They had booked our suite. — I must admit their customer service goes above and beyond! They put us up in the presidential suite at the same price. ALL the staff was friendly and courteous. We will certainly be back. Old town was fun and everything is within walking distance. Trolley is available if you don't want to walk.

Very clean room and friendly staff. We were there for one short night. Even with the Metro right outside our window, there was no sound of trains or traffic. Two suggestions: First, I only found one USB port to charge my phone at the bottom of the clock (hard to find). If two devices needed charging, one would have to wait. Second, since the bathroom mirror is so far back, it would have been helpful to have a makeup or shaving mirror… even one with magnification… closer to ones face. Thanks for a nice stay.

Probably the most well-maintained Hilton I've ever stayed at. The lobby is aesthetically mesmerizing, and the room exceeds expectation. HUGE PLUS for us was the room being baby-friendly. Every corner of the desk, drawer, cabinet, etc. Were dulled down so that no sharp corner could harm our toddler. Breakfast was top notch. A lot of varieties and the food quality was exceptional. With that being said: One thing just didn't rub me the right way from Day 1. I checked in late Friday night, with my wife and kid. We had been on the road for few hours stuck in the worst traffic with a crying toddler. Nothing would make us happier than to get into our room, put our child to bed and rest. This would've been a breeze if it weren't for this one employee (anonymous) who made our check in so much more difficult than it had to be. I mean it was to a point where the nice gentleman (manager? ) was frustrated with her actions, as well. My card wasn't working because of security reasons, so I paid by cash including security deposits, if it meant my frustrated family could get into the room quicker. But after receiving the cash, she was asking all these useless questions and checking the funds to make sure it's real and instead of speeding things up, her actions were so slow. My frustrated wife and crying baby were right behind me while this was taking place. If you, as an employee, saw the family, I would assume you'd act a little faster to speed the process. It was a huge turn off.

Your typical Hilton hotel. Very nice, excellent service, polite staff and very nice rooms. We went there for a stay-cation. This is right on King St in Old Town Alexandria, VA. You can take the free trolley all the way to the waterfront and back. We had dinner at Fish Market and enjoyed the waterfront. The next day we had brunch at the Warehouse Restaurant. The hotel has a Starbucks, a bar and restaurant and a fitness center. This was an excellent stay. The cons are that parking is $35 a night! This does not include in and out priveleges. Also there is no swimming pool. The other thing that I didn't like is that once you go outside to the courtyard they have in the back of the hotel, you cannot get back in. You have to take a long hike to get back in.

Very nice hotel with great location to restaurants and bars. There is a Starbucks in the lobby and nice workspace. Right next to the King Street metro, but you would not even know it because the windows have great sound insulation. Will stay here again.

Front staff was stuffy. We booked the presidential suite because it had a whirlpool tub. When we got there we found out it only fit one person, and the bed was hard. It was conveniently located next to the metro, but the quality was not equivalent to the price.

Really pleasant stay here. Elevators require key cards, so the security is nice, but it can be a hassle. Fitness gym is well stocked with quality professional equipment. Towels, earbuds, water, and sanitation wipes included. Access to the metro stop is unmatched. Walking distance to whole foods with minimal traffic crossings.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel has clearly been renovated recently. It is modern and comfortable. Our room sort of smelled like smoke, and the AC wasn't working correctly, but we brought it to their attention and they quickly fixed it.

Comfortable bed, nice TV with cable, good atmosphere at bar and restaurant (prices were high though), acceptable fitness center. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Plenty of retail and restaurants on King Street (I wasn't overly excited about the quality and pricing though). 25 minutes to DC via Metro, which is right across the street and reasonably priced. Overall, a good place to stay.

First Hilton that we’ve seen that doesn’t have a concierge lounge. Rooms are nice but overall a Pass unless just need a place to stay. Oh and no pool either. Apparently guests have access to hotel pool across the street but they don’t volunteer to tell you this at front desk unless you ask. Again. Pass.

I enjoyed my stay here during the holiday season. I preferred a better view than the train tracks. The rooms were comfortable and cozy. Great customer service. I love the Alexandria Virginia area and this hotel made the trip even better.

Convenient to Metro into Washington! Clean and very comfortable room. Upscale linens and toiletries. Cooperative and friendly staff. Starbucks in the lobby! Did not have opportunity to eat in onsite restaurant.

Hotel location is excellent. Rooms are generally clean and beds are comfortable enough. Lobby bar is pretty good. The air circulation in the hotel room isn’t great as it felt stuffy at times which led to a poor night sleep.

Great location — half a mile or so from fun food, bars, and other activities. Easy access to Metro, it's right across the street. If you're coming from DCA, this is incredibly simple to get to.

Classy, convenient, and comfortable. Short walk to King St which is full of fun shops and restaurants. Across the street from the metro and and quick ride to the airport or to D. C. The rooms are clean and met my expectations.

We just needed a hotel for one night while traveling and the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. It's not the cheapest in the area but worth the upcharge for the nice appointments, spaciousness and design. It's further away from DC than I prefer but in an especially charming part of town. I would definitely stay here again.

No microwave in room? Inquired to front desk about a place to heat up restaurant leftovers and was told there was no microwaves on the property very rudely, very judgementally. Terrible staff. Only good thing was distance to the metro which was a 1 minute walk (even though we were told by staff it was a 15 minute walk? ). The staff at Starbucks were nice.

Hotel is in a very convenient location. Parking is underground and a little tight but average for the area. Rooms are nice and my preferred lodging in Old Town currently.

Very nice hotel. The only complaint is that the tissues feel like sandpaper. Bring your own. Everything else was top notch. Expensive though.

Hotel stay was very pleasant overall. The rooms are very spacious and provide plenty of comfort features such as a large desk, in room fridge, and coffee maker (although it is hidden from sight under the TV). My only critique is that the room is a little worn (scratches on furniture, chips in tile, carpet tread) and you can hear some noise from the adjoining rooms. Considering the few negatives of this hotel, this was a good visit and I would stay again.

Didn't stay at the hotel, I was just there for a conference. That said, it is situated in a great spot. Metro station is across the steet. And old town is really cool. The catering was good. There is a starbucks and a restaurant in the hotel, and both are good. Meeting rooms were sufficient, and parking is available. Overall, not a bad place to go to a meeting. Easy to get there, easy to get to local places.

I checked-in 24 hours in advance and selected my room, using the Hilton Honors app. I used the app to open the parking garage gate, I used the digital key on the app to get the elevator to the 6th floor and to open my room door. I love how the app automatically knows where I am and switches to the appropriate digital key. My room was great, and the hotel was terrific. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is of course in a great location, with many of my favorite restaurants well within walking distance.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the cleaning ladies seem to ignore the do not disturb signs, but they are very friendly about it. The Starbucks in the lobby is nice and parking is pretty good, too. You also have to have a room key to use the elevator, which is really nice (unless you forget your key lol). And the parking garage is pretty secure and safe and has ample parking. The views are pretty nice, as well.

We stayed here for a family wedding and had a fantastic time! The hotel was neat, clean and accommodating and the staff was awesome! The local area is so full of history with so much to do. If you're ever in Alexandria, book your stay here, you'll be glad you did!

Front desk was accommodating but the house keeping was lacking. It’s not very reassuring as a guest to find out that after leaving early in the morning, and coming back later in the afternoon that your room wasn’t cleaned or done. Family made and effort to make sure that the room had nothing on the door and was shown to be in need of cleaning while we were gone (housekeeping hadn’t passed our room yet). Coming back to our room we noticed that the “Do Not Disturb” sign was placed on the door and that none of us had put the sign on the door in the first place. We were reassured it wasn’t us, because our original sign was on the inside of the door, leaving us with two signs when we got back. It just isn’t very assuring to think that housekeeping may have placed the signs on the doorknobs as a way to avoid cleaning our room, let alone the idea of the possible cut corners when it goes to the hygiene of the rooms.

Love the location. Located right beside the subway station. Rooms are big and clean. Run, walk or cycle to the coast where you can catch the ferry to the other side.

First off the staff is great. Helpful, friendly and I was always greeted with a smile. Rooms were nice and very clean.

Terrible site for an event. The party's lead event coordinator, Craig Luperello, does not have the skills for this job, effectively leaving no on in charge. He does not respond to questions or incorporate your requests into the party's plan. For example, despite several in-person meetings and many emails, he ignored several of our specific requests related to food allergies and issues. He was so difficult to deal with that I had to pay my own party planner just to make sure that the basics got done. I called the General Manager several times, and he was dismissive of my concerns. Likewise, I contacted Hilton Corporate, and they also have been unconcerned. If you want to throw the party you pay for, this is not the event space for you!

The room service was absolutely amazing! They changed over our room like professional cleaning ninjas. I wish my wife and I had such a nice bathroom! There location is perfect, we hopped on a bus ten minute ride to the casino. We rode in a BMW Uber to the airport. I could go on easy.

Great location and nice, clean hotel. I was absolutely beat when I arrived and found this place a bit refreshing. Parking is convenient in the garage with elevators, high end lobby, nice bar in lobby with very friendly service, room was very comfortable. And had a good rate to boot. I will be back.

Beautiful hotel. Great location. Really expensive to park and a little dark by yourself and far to walk to front desk with tour stuff. But hotel is gorgeous.

Terrible! Room smelled horrible. There was fecal matter inside the commode and presumably on the walls next to the shower. Other stains, which appeared to be some kind of dried bodily fluid were apparent on the sheets and comforter. I cannot believe I spent this much money to stay in such unhygentic conditions. When I asked the management if I could switch rooms, I was told the hotel was unable to accommodate my request due to a conference. One hotel representative said the stains were probably just patterns in the wallpaper, but this was clearly not the case. Not taking my grievance seriously only served to add insult to injury. No refund or discount was offered or suggested. Avoid this place like the plague!

Nice location with plenty of parking. The garage stunk and had a foul odor but that isn't too much of an issue and can't really be helped. The hotel itself is nice and had plenty of cookie and coffee available for the guests of the event. Was an overall pleasurable experience.

I was here for a work meeting. The staff is extremely friendly and helfpul. The spaces they have for meetings are standard small meeting rooms that we're comfortable and we'll sized for our needs. The food options turned out to be limited in very unfortunate ways. In the past our staff has made choices in food that are no longer available which is frustrating. Also their garage staff doesn't open the garage until after 730 which was a big hassle.

This place was so great that I can't wait to stay here again in December. Wonderful rooms staff and a knowledgeable gift shop manager. The concierge gave me some good tips too. Having a bar in the lobby is a nice touch also.

This was a good place to hold a conference. Pros: Accessibility from airport (DCA), just two stops down on the metro line. Good food, quality equipment, new/updated/clean setting, nice acoustics in rooms. Cons: water was not available at each table, had to go to the back of the room. Quite small for our group size (~90 people), thus tables were crammed in. If you had to leave before break, you had to squeeze between people and chairs to leave. The also ran out of regular Mountain Dew on the first day!

This hotel is very nice and fantastically located in Old Town Alexandria right next to the Metro. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean and modern. My one major gripe here was parking. There is a paid parking garage which sprawls into a confusing labyrinth. However, we returned from a wedding one night, and after searching for over half an hour, we could not find a parking spot. Since we paid over $20 for the privilege of parking here, this seems ridiculous. My wife had to get out of the car, go down the the front desk and complain. They told us to park in an "office" space because it was a weekend. We would have to move our car before the week began. This should not happen with paid parking, and if it is a common happening, it should be notated somewhere. We were told that the parking attendant should have informed us, but he was sleeping as we drove by. To the hotel's credit, we did receive complementary parking the next day of our stay. I would recommend this hotel if you are planning to be in the area, but just be aware of the expensive and confusing parking situation.

The Hilton Old Town is easy walking distance to the King Street Metro station for a quick trip on the blue line metro. 3 dollars to the Smithsonian stop on the National Mall. The DC metro system is super easy to navigate.

Perfect location. In the middle of everything downtown. Great bar and restaurant in the lobby. Lovely decor, clean and very cool. Staff is lovely. Beds are awesome!

Comfortable room with a nice view. Pricy breakfast, $35 a day parking in a terribly confusing garage. No free Wi-Fi. $12.99 a night. As I'm typing I realize I should change from 4 star to 3 star. Honestly, just a comfortable bed in a nice room.

Great staff, very accommodating and attentive. Really nice & clean rooms, very spacious. The spacious bathtubs and extra large towels are a nice perk. Only complaint is parking is very sparse if you're not using the $35/day Hilton designated garage. Love the location since it's across the street from the Metro station.

Clean rooms, beautiful views, right in the heart of hubub. Staff is very helpful In house bar has great appetizers but mixed drinks can be very overpriced. Plenty to do nearby.

Visited the main floor for happy hour with a friend. Great restaurant/bar and very open and inviting floor plan. Awesome staff. Not the best selection of beers on tap, but good selection of cocktails and mixed drinks.

The location is great. The metro and King St trolley is just steps away. The rooms are nice, no room noise but I could hear the metro but it was not disruptive. The beds are comfy and the rooms are clean and new looking. There is a full service bar, restaurant and a Starbucks open limited hours. Restaurant's nearby.

Stopped in for an after-work drink with colleagues. Bartenders and hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and selection was great.

Great room and service. Had some issues with the in-room Wi-Fi, but that was minor. Would definitely stay here again.

Not up to Hilton standard. Very disappointing. I drove from NY with 2 toddlers, checked in at 1030 pm. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating when they made a mistake in the room I requested, that was no big deal. However, the beds are so uncomfortable, the pillows and bed linen felt like they were made of paper. Every time myself or one of the kids moved we woke up because of the rustling of the sheets, I'm serious when I say sounded like paper. I also believe they are pet friendly, which is great, but the maid service needs to step it up a hundred notches. One pillow dropped on the floor and it was covered in animal hair. Seriously, I left in on the floor in the corner. The rest of the room was not as clean as it should be. It's very unfortunate. I paid 209$ USD which is cheap to me and I wonder if it's the old get what u pay for? Not sure but I'm leery about staying in another Hilton. I really loved them from past experience and it makes me sad. Things always seem to change, and nor for the better. On a good note I checked for bed bugs and it was all clear!

The Hilton Alexandria Old Town hotel was very nice and accommodating. It was easy to access from the highway, they offered to validate parking, and at the event there were complimentary beverages and food. Although the event itself was disappointing the hotel and its staff were quality.

The corner room was amazing! Right next to the street but the room was soundproof. Requested a pillow fort and an excessive amount of comforters; was not disappointed. I was surprised I had to pay an additional $34 for parking in their garage overnight. Staff was amazing and the service was top notch. Right on King St, beautiful city, look forward to coming back.

Rooms are contemporary, immaculate, and well appointed. Lobby, dining, and parking areas are equally well maintained and current. Staff is very helpful and polite but not overbearing. From the Hilton, it is just a convenient walk into Old Town. I like the location because it is away from the congestion near the waterfront but close to all of the dining, shops and other attractions. Very affordable for being so close to all of the attractions.

The hotel is located just off the metro and easy walking distance to most places in old town va. Excellent clean rooms and a very convienent app for keyless entry. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Alexandria.

We did a package that included parking and breakfast. Room very comfortable. Metro station literally across the street. Alexandria trolley right outside as well. We decided to extend our stay. Only negative, shops close early evening and restaurants close around 10pm.

I stayed at this hotel for 9 days while attending a conference. The room looked nice and was very comfortable and clean. It's literally right next to the metro and plenty of restaurants around the area to keep me from getting bored from eating the same food. I also felt like the staff went out of their way to make sure I was having a good stay. Would love to visit again and would definitely recommend.

Hotel manager, Lbuckreis, was rude during my checkout process. Unforseen circumstances forced me to checkout early, and she made rude comments about "not charging me a late fee" and let it "slide this time". Instead of not charging me, charge me the early check-out fee and keep comments to yourself.

Excellent staff, rooms were clean and location was excellent.

We are staying four days. Location is literally across the street from the metro and just a couple stops from the airport. Breakfast is included in our room charge and excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Perfect place to stay for tourist vacation.

Nice property overall, but I'm really annoyed by certain aspects of the guestrooms: the HVAC motion sensor is mounted in direct eyesight of the bed. It has an LED, which blinks 3 rapid pulses every few seconds. I had to tape over mine just to get to sleep. The main light in the bathroom is motion-sensored with no disable option. Be prepared to be woken fully for that midnight bathroom visit. Finally, the "nightlight" in the bathroom is not only bright enough to light the sleeping area, it cannot be shut off, so I have to keep the bathroom closed. This kind of stuff makes me wonder if any hotel staff has ever stayed in their own rooms. PS: you really should remove the ancient DSL modems if you're not offering wired connectivity in-room. It looks tacky, confuses the guest, and implies age and lack of attention to detail. Edit: It is well worth mentioning that my experiences with the head chef at this hotel has been absolutely amazing. He's been accommodating of our requests, and honestly has some of the best food I've ever had at a hotel ever. Specific mentions include the Steak Frittes, Philly Cheasesteak Eggrolls, and the Pecan Bread Pudding.

I am disappointed by my room. It's dirty (the glass surfaces are filthy) and makes me think the rest of the room was not cleaned. The door to the bathroom was loose and fell off. I was expecting more from a Hilton.

I was expecting a bit more charm and history given the location. Apparently they are in the midst of a large remodel meaning the lobby and some hallways are behind tarps and not very pretty currently. The check in staff was very hard to understand and confusing and left us wondering if our car would get towed. The rooms are ok, with a nice view on the one side over the town. Everything feels a bit drab and in need of some updating or a fresh coat of paint. Good location.

Evidently "luxury hotel" translates to "charges for everything". Room Wi-Fi is fifteen dollars extra, and wireless in the conference room must be paid for as well. The staff reminds you continually that lobby wireless is free, but I did not come here to dally in the lobby. Location near the Metro is convenient if you are staying on the side of the building that faces away from it. Otherwise, expect to be awakened early by a sound akin to an air-raid siren repeating several times an hour. The mini fridge in my room emitted a terrible whirring sound as it sustained the herculean effort required to cool its single cubic foot of interior space. Unless my fridge was just the runt of the litter, you will want to unplug yours before attempting to sleep. tl; dr: five hours of fitful sleep followed by a day in the conference room with no Wi-Fi. No bueno.

I love hiltons. Though my favorite remains the one at Times Square, this Hilton met all our expectations. With a family of five and both business and pleasure travel to be accounted for, the hotel and the service more than met our needs.

Nice hotel, terrible for weddings. The room where the reception was held was drab and without ambiance, nothing like the gorgeous hotel lobby. The bar was outside the reception room, so guests were constantly leaving to get drinks (servers didn't bring them), and many missed the dances and cake cutting because it wasn't really announced. The worst thing by far was the wedding coordinator woman. It was as though she never dealt with a wedding party before. She was extremely rude, unprepared, and unprofessional. She was asking the bride questions about how she was going to do the entrance/first dance as she was about to walk into the reception. The wedding party never knew where they were supposed to be other than during the ceremony, and then she got an attitude when no one was doing what she wanted. The flower girls were running all over the place during the ceremony, which was incredibly distracting, because they were never told where to go/stand/sit once they walked down the isle. Oh, and there were 2 WEDDING CRASHERS. One was actually telling people he works across the street and crashes weddings there all the time. They stayed about 2 hours before some groomsmen threatened them. Thankfully the guests were fun and had a great time, but considering the utter unprofessionalism of the coordinator, you should steer clear of this place for weddings.

Our guests reported to us that there were wedding crashers, which Hilton staff counted and charged us for because they entered the reception area and stole some of the appetizers (rather than took a name plate and had a seat). That was very, truly disappointing. My wife and I were off taking pictures when the Hilton staff did the count, so we couldn't confirm it. (When they brought us a revised bill at 11 pm on the night of, what could we do? ) The open bar we paid for was not moved inside the room like we were promised it would be. While some of our guests were told about the bar outside, most were not. Our wedding presents were moved to the room without anyone telling us what happened to them. A panic ensued at the end of the night, when we were looking everywhere for them and thought they had been stolen by more wedding crashers. We and our guests thought that on the whole it was a very professional, wonderful, and impressive reception. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding, impressing even those guests with the highest standards. There was just so many little things that could have been better, so much spilled milk, that my wife and I were disappointed with what could have been.

I'm not fond of Hilton Hotels because of their exuberant prices for everything, but for $99 a night for a 4 day/3 night stay its a steal. Accommodation wise the rooms are nice and comfortable, provided with one complimentary bottle of water, fridge and a decent television. However there was no microwave or free internet, unlike most 3 and 4 star hotels have today on normal basis (which contributed to the dropped score). The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the King Street metro station for those who don't have a rental car and need to travel to DC. Prices were fair to contend with, but the ride can be bumpy and crowded at times. For those who have a rental car, you have to park in the garage and pay a daily parking fee. Alexandria is a nice, quaint town with shops and food accessible by foot. There is a Starbucks in the lobby that usually is busy all the time. Currently traffic is horrible in the area due to construction on I-495/95 which has traffic backed up all around town and side streets. This is where the metro becomes handy.
