Review of Hilton Alexandria Old Town 4*

Probably the most well-maintained Hilton I've ever stayed at. The lobby is aesthetically mesmerizing, and the room exceeds expectation. HUGE PLUS for us was the room being baby-friendly. Every corner of the desk, drawer, cabinet, etc. Were dulled down so that no sharp corner could harm our toddler. Breakfast was top notch. A lot of varieties and the food quality was exceptional. With that being said: One thing just didn't rub me the right way from Day 1. I checked in late Friday night, with my wife and kid. We had been on the road for few hours stuck in the worst traffic with a crying toddler. Nothing would make us happier than to get into our room, put our child to bed and rest. This would've been a breeze if it weren't for this one employee (anonymous) who made our check in so much more difficult than it had to be. I mean it was to a point where the nice gentleman (manager? ) was frustrated with her actions, as well. My card wasn't working because of security reasons, so I paid by cash including security deposits, if it meant my frustrated family could get into the room quicker. But after receiving the cash, she was asking all these useless questions and checking the funds to make sure it's real and instead of speeding things up, her actions were so slow. My frustrated wife and crying baby were right behind me while this was taking place. If you, as an employee, saw the family, I would assume you'd act a little faster to speed the process. It was a huge turn off. With that being said though, I highly recommend this establishment.
