My husband left some clothes in the closet and I have been trying for nearly a month now to get them back. I have been given the run around by the front desk staff and the managers. I have sent a UPS label to them for pick up, but when UPS showed up, they were told by the front desk there wasn't anything to pick up. Another staff member said they would pay for the shipping, but yet… still no package was sent. I have called multiple times and was told by the staff they would check on the situation and call me back. Of the 4 times I was told this, not once has someone called me back. My husband spent $1, 500 on his room over the course of 2 weeks and it seems to be impossible to get a $20 package sent to me. Worst customer service ever. I will be taking this up the chain.

Have stayed here a few times while visiting my sister. Very clean and nice staff.

The rooms are nice and the staff is really friendly. We have a boat with us each time we go, and parking is good.

We were in the area for a graduation and our daughter ended up in the hospital. The staff was so good at working to extend our stay on a day to day bases and worked at getting us the best rates. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was wonderful. Thank you all very much.

The best thing about this Inn are the employees. Everyone is super nice. Our room stinks. Like really smells. I'm not sure how to explain the smell, but it stinks and they are overbooked. The location is perfect for our vacation. It's right off I95 and close to the metro. They have a great breakfast too.

Breakfast was very good each day. Staff was great. Room was better than expected especially for the price. Drivers for the shuttle were great. I reccomend this hotel if u are looking for something reasonable that is close to the metro.

My son's school took a trip to the DC area. Over all the stay was great. After leaving on Sunday (3/18) my son quickly realized he left his souvenier bag in the hotel room on the counter in front of the TV. He personally called the hotel to let them know in detail. He was told they would have the housekeepers check and call him back. As of today. He has not received a return call. I followed up with a call and was told nothing was found but was advised to call back Tuesday if I had not heard anything. I was told an email was sent to the manager and would follow up. As of today I had not head anything and called to speak to a manager. I spoke with Bernadette. She was friendly and professional. She advised she never got an email and would check into the issue and call back in 30 minutes. After personally checking, there was nothing turned in. I made sure she was aware I was very disappointed that the souveniers were not found. It is clear the housekeeping staff either threw the items away or took the souviniers. I was also told there was nothing the hotel could do. Disappointed Parent.

Very convenient shuttle to the metro, very nice staff. Room was comfortable, breakfast was good. Fitness center far too small, with broken elliptical machine, marginally working treadmill. Didn't try the weight machine. Business center is closed. I'll stay here again because of the convenience, but hope the fitness center improves…

Very clean! Staff was very nice. Location was super easy to get to. Despite a highway right outside it was nice and quiet. Lots of vending machines near our rooms as well. They had ice cream in the lobby too which was awesome for a midnight snack.

I stayed during a convention in national harbor and it was perfect. The inn is right off the highway and easy to get to in either direction. The staff made sure to welcome us everyday and house keeping was courteous and more than willing to help.

Very good location, across from Jersey Gardens. Rich Breakfast.

Would've gave 5stars but housekeeping lied in said I smoke in a room that I just walk into security went too the room and said no smoking happen in that wrong… Went to a suite after than incident and enjoyed it ✊

Hotel was nice overall. It was clean, staff was pleasant, breakfast was good as well. Only issues I had was in my room the bathroom had no lock on the door. I guess that's not really an issue if you're staying alone or with an SO but I was with a friend and figured a 2 bed room would have a locking bathroom. Water pressure in the shower wasn't too great either but I dunno how much control they actually have over that. All in all great hotel.

The hotel was very clean and spacious. Entrance way for cars is tricky and very easy to miss. Great job supporting the Marine Corps Marathon runners!

Would give this place zero stars if possible! They made the reservation INCORRECTLY over the phone for September 20th instead of October 20th. My husband called because he could not find the reservation when he tried to look it up. The front desk person hung up on him MULTIPLE times. To top it off, they are booked for those dates and THEY HAVE charged us for THEIR MISTAKE since we did not stay there on the date they made the reservation for in error! Not happy and the manager is refusing to make this right. DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS THERE! A mistake is one thing, but management refusing to fix THEIR error is poor customer service and simply not a place I would want to or ever will do business with again!

Excellent location, very clean, personable staff.

I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn in Alexandria, VA, with my elderly parents. Our experience was positive. The lemon water, tea, and coffee in the lobby throughout the day was appreciated. Parking was never a problem and it was easy for my parents to get to and from their room given their limitations. The room was clean and comfortable. Our room was right next to the elevator and never did we hear noise from the outside hallway. The location next to 495/95 made driving to Pentagon City, the Capitol, and Old Town quite easy. The breakfast offered each morning had a nice selection from which to choose from. I would not hesitate to stay here again and I felt that the value for the dollar was good, given what hotel rooms go for these days.

The location was in safe area. The rooms were very clean and the staff were really nice.

The staff is not knowledge of prices and rules. The staff is not kind. The internet kept going out. The rooms have thin walls because you can here all the hwy traffic with sirens and trash trucks at 6am. The beds are hard and not comfortable. The rooms are so small you can hardly walk around in them and the shower is nothing to even talk about. Don't stay here because they charge you for items you didn't use so be careful of your bill.

Comparing this Comfort Inn to the one in Houston is a big difference. The quality of the furniture in this one is lower, rooms seem smaller, and the building in general just seems much older. But it was still a lovely place to stay. The staff was extremely friendly and we requested additional cleaning of our room. This was completed with no fuss while we looked around the city. I would come and stay here again despite the age of the facility.

Our room smelled awful and when I asked if we could change rooms, the front desk clerk told me to calm down. Rude. He did change rooms and it was better but needed a lot of work. Secondly the life guard whispered to my granddaughter that she was a terrible swimmer (which she is not) and that she needed to stay in the shallow end. She should have talked to me about it. I was sitting right there watching her. Again rude. Last thing, I asked the front desk if they had a stamp I could buy. She said no they don't sell stamps. I asked her if she did not have stamps for their mail. She replied yes but I won't sell you one. Again rude. This whole hotel needs a staff change.

Very convenient and easy to locate. When I checked in around midnight the staff was very kind and welcoming. At breakfast the next morning, the staff was equally attentive. My room was clean, and well appointed. Even on the 8th floor, It was a bit noisier than I like with road noise, airplane noise and hotel noise, but I still slept well. We'll be back.

Easily accessed location with shuttle to the Metro station made this great for our trip to DC and Arlington. Price was very reasonable for the area. Constantly being cleaned, though our non smoking room definitely smelled as though it had been a smoking room at in the not so distant past! Decent free breakfast — waffles! Just have to knock a star because of that room smell (Rm 721)

This little hotel is a hidden gem. The staff are great, and always welcoming. We've stayed here twice now, and will do again.
The free parking is a great bonus if you're coming in from further afield, and the complimentary metro shuttle is a godsend.
A complimentary breakfast each morning was wonderful, and the lady in the restaurant needs a medal. She keeps everything clean and fresh, the hot food bar was regularly replenished, and she is the kind of happy, bubbly person you need to start any day (she had us laughing most mornings.
Great location, with easy access to the Van Dorn Metro, and the I-95 / Capital Beltway.
Really great value for money, with no surprise charges.
Rooms have a refrigerator and microwave, with a safe (I believe there is a small daily charge for its use? )
A/C units are a little noisy, but identical to systems found in most other (more expensive) hotels, and they work well to keep the summer heat down.

Worth crossing the Atlantic Ocean for!

Alexandria, VA location. Clean, organized, well-run. Absolutely despise the stairs/elevator situation. You cannot travel to any floor from the 1st floor without taking one of the only two elevators. That's a crazy design. You are able to descend from any level via stairs but are only able to reach the bottom level if you are exiting the building.

This hotel is located conveniently close to the Van Dorn Metro station going into Washington DC. Making it easy for us to avoid renting a car on this trip. They offer free shuttle service to the Metro and this is helpful since to walk there would be a little difficult even though it's less than a mile away. The hotel is clean. The breakfast is free and is one of the best that I've had at similar hotels. The front desk is accommodating and the staff does everything they can to help if any problems arise. Would stay here again.

Stayed here right after Christmas and enjoyed the stay! The free breakfast was very good and the attendant kept a close eye on everything. Our room was right behind the elevator and I was worried that it would keep us awake, but we never heard it. Love the shuttle to the metro station. Room was very clean and will stay here many more times! We usually go to DC around every 2 years and will recommend this hotel to anyone I know going to DC or the Alexandria are.

Our stay from Dec. 11-13, 2015 was very nice. We were very pleased with the room. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. Very clean. The staff on every shift was very helpful and friendly. Convenient. Thank you to your staff.

I enjoyed my stay at this Comfort Inn. I was in town for a week and used the courtesy shuttle they have to get to Van Dorn Metro Station and commute into D. C. The convenient access with the shuttle is a great perk for this location. Breakfast was good but like most hotels near the D. C. Outskirts, there will be a lot of kids at breakfast time.

Very clean and comfortable. The shuttle to the metro was excellent. I've stayed in many four star hotels and the quality of this facility can definitely compete. Loved my stay. And will stay again! Ms. Alexis at the front desk was very professional and helpful.

Very pleasant stay. Staff was exceptionally pleasant and accommodating. Shuttle service very helpful. Suite was clean and tastefully appointed. Will stay there again when we return to DC area. Forced to check out early because of torrential rains and threat of hurricane. Refund was no problem.

The place was ok, our room was decent, the toilet paper was almost out when we checked in. The bathroom door was off its hinge so it wouldn't shut properly. Maybe the hotel should put the price they charge for pets on there website, we were surprised to have to put out another 150.00 just for our dogs, if I would have known I would have stayed in D. C. And paid the same price! However the front desk guy was very nice and free shuttle to the metro was convenient. Also for being pet friendly there was really no where to walk the dogs and no poop bags available in case u forgot to grab one. Also we were place don the 5th floor usually in other pet friendly hotels they put you on first floor. A big inconvenience.

Reserved room through Hotwire and was going to be stuck with two double beds. We kindly asked the front desk to be move to another room with at least a queen and they put us in a suite at no extra cost. I'm not sure what the other room (s) would have been like but the suite was nice and clean with a cozy bed. They had shuttle service to and from the metro rail which was very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was okay, but that's how they are.

Overall, this is a fairly decent hotel. I did not have any problem with cleanliness, and the staff was very helpful when needed. My biggest concern about this hotel is the ability to access it. When leaving you cannot turn left, as Van Dorn is usually pretty packed. I also had issues trying to get into the hotel as I waited for 5+ minutes multiple times because of traffic. A simple access road to the off ramp from 95/495 would dispel much of this issue.

I made an advance purchase on 07/27/2010 for one-night hotel stay on 08/09/2010. They charged my credit card for the amount of $95.91 ($87.99 for hotel room + $7.92 for taxes). On the day of my arrival, the front-desk staff requested for my credit card again. When I chek-out the next day, I asked for a receipt, but the front-desk staff told me there is no receipt as I have already pre-paid for my stay. A week after I checked-out, I noticed that a frivilious charge for the amount of $8.39 has been posted on my credit card. I telephoned and inquired about this charge. The front desk staff told me that it is their practice to post a small charge on the credit card but that amount will be refunded within 10 days, and asked me to be patient for another 3 days. Unfortunately, the money was never refunded. On 08/28/2010, I telephoned and insisted on speaking to the Manager to dispute their frivilious charge. He responded that he will research about this and will give me a call in 20 minutes, but he never did! When I called back more than 2 hours later, I was told that the Manager has left, and he could only be reached on Monday. I will certainly not stay in this hotel anymore. The quality of this hotel is below average (i. E. The front-desk staff keep on dissapearing and not friendly although the shuttle driver seems to be a nice individual, the room was not very clean and slightly noisy perhaps my room was on the second-floor).

Room was okay. Could use some up dating the front desk area gets 4 stars for looks and the Wi-Fi needs a up grade. The breakfast was great they offered alot of different foods for all the only person who gets 5 stars was kofe the morning driver he was very friendly. He went above his title. Any place we asked about or showed interest in, the best directions to all he knew everything he did his job with heart thanks kofe.
