Great hotel, staff and all.

It’s the best place, complementary breakfast was better than what we had in other places. The place was clean and very friendly staff. We stayed in a two double suite and the living room had sofa bed, the kitchen was mini yet full size and also had a small dining table for four oh also TV in both living and bedroom at an affordable price. If anyone visiting DC, this place is the best it’s onli 15 mins drive to the capitol. Like how they decorated the place. The onli down I could think of is that the hallway would appreciate fresh carpets. The best thing is that happened to us, that we would be thankful, my daughter left her favorite stuffed animal a bunny in the room, they were so sweet to send it to us at no cost to us with a beautiful seasons greetings card and cute notepad my daughter was so excited. It was so touching this place will be in our memory forever. Unforgettable experience thank you so much.

Rooms where clean but the staff was even better. They where extremely professional and friendly at all times. I would stay there again if in DC.

Room is spacious and clean. Staff is very friendly. Outdoor pool is just the right size with life guard on duty (though not paying attention). Indoor hot tub. Hot breakfast every morning and snacks Monday — Thursday in the evenings. Great, family friendly place to stay.

Homewood Suites in Alexandria is a comfortable place to stay for a few nights. I stayed here with my wife and sons for the nights. We enjoyed having a suite so the boys could sleep while we stayed up later. The free breakfast, parking, outdoor pool, and exercise room were also nice. The complimentary shuttle was very convenient as well. We had a few minor complaints. The ceiling fan over our bed rattled and the water in the downstairs hot tub had a disgusting film on it's surface. Overall though it was a perfectly fine place to stay.

The room was very nice and the staff were very accommodating. My only complaint is that the air conditioning, the refrigerator, and the bathroom fan all run very loud and tend to create a lot of white noise. Overall a very pleasant experience and a good choice for a stay in the DC area.

This was a special weekend for our family — relatives meeting for the first time ever… From the moment we arrived, we felt at home! An extremely warm, dedicated, attentive staff! Always ready to greet you and serve you with a smile… This place was clean, comfortable and had more than enough amenities for any traveler… I would highly recommend a stay, here, if you are planning to be in the area! We will definitely be back!

Good location a few miles from The National Mall and surrounding areas. Shuttle service to King St every half hour is a good way to get to the Metro rail station to take the blue line to the Pentagon, Arlington Cemetary, Federal triangle, The White House and so much more. Room was clean as well as the lobby, breakfast area. Outdoor pool and indoor hot tub looked well kept. Coin operated Laundry is also on site. Breakfast options were plentiful, great staffing and maintenance of keeping food warm and fully stocked. Plenty of restaurants and gas stations, at a, shopping around the area. A very nice location to feel at home during your stay.

The rooms are great. My husband and I stayed in a king suite, which was perfect with our two toddlers. We had the king bed, and had the kids in the "living room" are a on the sofa bed. There was a TV in both sections, and they even had Disney Jr. (which is a lifesaver for my kids). The kitchen area was great for staying a few days, allowing you to keep items in the full size refrigerator (with freezer section above to produce your own ice). The kitchen was equipped with any of your basic necessities (toaster, stove top, microwave, utensils, dishwasher, pans, and a skillet. The breakfast they had was great. Also, and this is a really, really great perk, Mondays-Thursdays they host an evening gathering between like 5 and 7, which is essentially a complimentary dinner. And, it is fantastic. We came to see D. C. And with the kids, that pretty much meant that we were only left with figuring out a lunch on our own. Also, the hotel does provide a shuttle to the King's Street Metro, which makes transportation awesome. We didn't have to use our car at any point once we checked in. Overall, this hotel was so much more than I could have ever expected. My husband and I did not want to leave. And, every member of the staff was absolutely amazing. They were all so helpful and friendly. I was just completely blown away with Homewood Suites by Hilton in Alexandria!

Checked in late and told the front desk we were tired but we couldn't get sleep because of the noise from the other room. Also, requested for pillows. It was delivered without a pillow case and the attendant asked if we need one. Seriously? Did you really ask me if we need a pillow case? Makes me question the cleanliness of this hotel. The auditor is not a pleasant person either.

Stayed there for a week. I’m from out of state, so it was really awesome that the workers went out of their way to make sure I knew where to go, and suggested places to visit! My room was always clean and it was nice they kitchen was fully Equipped.

The hotel lobby and dining areas has an upscale touch. However, fixtures and curtains inside the hotel room are old and worn-out (some have bobbling), not something you would expect at a Hilton chain. The breakfast menu is super delicious, from hot egg-omelet/scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, to cold regular serials, juices and fresh cut fruit. They also have a make-yourself waffle maker. Even with my disappointment on fixtures and curtains the hotel has my 4 stars, largely due to its fine breakfast menu and its proximity to chain grocery stores (Target, Shoprite, Trader Joes), gas stations and fast food restaurants.

Just loved the place… One of the best places to stay in the area! Very friendly staff, delicious and fresh breakfast, spacious area, kitchen available in the hotel room, separate bedrooms, hot tub, shuttles available to DC! Will visit again. *thumbs up.

Great staff and services but small rooms and not the best location for walking.

Clean rooms (with kitchen equipped with stove top burners, full sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dining area, silverware and everything else you'll need), staff outstandingly courteous and helpful always greeting you, complimentary buffet with every possible food you may have for breakfast, there is also an afternoon reception from Monday through Thursday with free food and drinks (non alcoholic). They have a bus that runs every 30 minutes to and from the Metro station at King Street, and that is complimentary too. Free parking, free Wi-Fi, almost next to Safeway, CVS, and some fast food like Five Guys, Wendy's, Taco Bell and the sort Overall excellent experience. Completely satisfied, highly recommended.

This hotel has to be the best hotel I have stayed at by far. It was super clean, the food was prepared well, everything was overall great. It was average price I stayed there for 1 night with my daughter for a girl scout event. I would highly recommend.

I loved it there. Very friendly and courteous staff. I wished they had an indoor pool though. My daughter loves swimming but unfortunately their pool was outdoor and as usual is inaccessible during the winter.

The rooms were spacious and clean. They have shuttle to take you to the metro. Breakfast offers a lot of options. We had a great girls weekend!

They room was clean and as advertised. Everything was in order but I forgot my toothbrush and unlike other Hilton facilities, they don't give you a toothbrush and toothpaste. But I suppose it's because they're affiliated and not the actual Hilton. Nevertheless, they were very helpful when we lost our Samsung tablet, got a flat tire and was stuck in the blizzard. They helped us find the tablet, inflated our tire and contacted a repair shop. During the whole fiasco, even though we had already checked out yesterday, they gave us both free breakfast. Now if they gave us a room for the few hours that we had comeback for a tablet but the manager was not working yet (to help us find the tablet), that would have been above and beyond, but they did not and we had to sleep in the car for 4 hours; which I won't complain about since that's beyond some staff's control.

I'm really impressed! It's more than I expected. Breakfast was the bomb. The staff is superb. Enjoying my birthday weekend with the ladies.

My family had a good stay during Christmas break. The staff were nice and understanding. They made the arrangements for 5 staying in a room for 4. The only troubles we had we small beds and the fan for the bathroom was rather weak. The breakfasts were very good. Good reliable Wi-Fi, friendly service, would stay again with bigger beds and better bathroom fan.

Great hotel! We had a GREAT suite room! I really liked the buffet style complementary breakfast! the staff is really nice! When you first walk into the hotel there is a really nice room that you eat in! I felt so sad when we left. And also if you need a crib, for your baby, they have cribs! I highly recommend this hotel!

Nice hotel with good complementary breakfast every day and light dinner most days. Nice, large, well maintained rooms. Relatively quiet. Not the greatest neighborhood, and limited restaurant options within walking distance. Good value, all things considered.

Standard Hilton Experience, As a long term user (contractor) Rooms are large and comfy, food is good if not repeating, (see biscuits and gravy 4 days a week with Hash for at least another 2) Dinner is the same. Salad bar has tomatoes once a week maybe, Nothing special. Kitchen only has an oven so things are very limited even on the Hilton menu. The helpful store and laundry is exceptionally over priced. Laundry is $2.25 per wash, $2.25 per dry, $2.12 for detergent, and $2.12. For a dryer sheet. Some staff are great! Some are not. For a weekender most would never even notice. This being my 7th week with 2 more to go. Its just a Homewood Suites. Nothing special. I'm normally on a first name bases with 3/4 of the staff this late into the stay, I know only one of the Kitchen staff that is exceptional.

Very nice front desk gentleman but very dated rooms. The room we're staying in is not very clean. The carpet needs cleaned and there is dust on some of the furniture. We were told the hotel has been here for I believe it was 19 years. It shows. I wasn't sure if I wanted to give 2 or 3 stars. I gave them a 3 cause of the niceness of the front desk employee.

Felt more like a great 1-bedroom apartment rather than a hotel room… and even offered breakfast, welcome cookies, and a pool/hot tub. Great 1st time experience with this brand! Thanks, Homewood Suites!

Excellent stay at this hotel. What makes it standout? The staff. Top notch all the way around. Comfortable quiet rooms. The place is kept very clean. Breakfast in the morning is a perfect touch.

The suites are a fantastic size, are clean and comfortable. The staff are fantastic and there is a shuttle to the metro station with easy access to D. C. If you are planning to go into D. C. It takes about an hour though between getting on the shuttle, driving over, getting on the train, and getting to Smithsonian. There are limited seats and passes are handed out 30 min prior to each allotted time slot. They do have a complimentary breakfast, which was okay at best (Hampton Inn is better with more variety) and they have a complimentary "light dinner" Mon-Thurs nights from 5pm-7pm. You can theoretically make this into a meal but it's often appetizers and a light dinner such as soup, salad, or pasta. One night, they had chicken and burgers. They also have free parking and are often more affordable than the locations in the city.

Stayed for 4 days. The room was fantastic, clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent every morning. A quick ride to DC and all of the attractions. Would definitely recommend.

Nice comfy hotel with lots of ammenities. There is a pool, hot tub, and gym, as well as a pool table in the lobby. They offer breakfast everyday and dinner 5 days a week. The rooms could stand some updating and when changing the sheets, specifically ask for the comforter to be changed. I noticed ours wasn't the cleanest at check in and left it on the floor to be changed after the first night and it was not.

Super clean, comfy and friendly staff. The pool and hot tub were excellent and the breakfast was convienant and delicious.

Stationed in a room on the fifth floor with two double beds and a pull out couch. The double beds are quite comfy, no complaints. The living room was comfortable as well and included a gas fireplace which was a nice touch. The pull out bed according to my friends who slept on it was very uncomfortable. The hotel also includes a free Continental breakfast with your standard fare. Breakfast hours were generous. There is also a shuttle that will take you around town with a 30 notice. All in all, accounting for the price of the stay, would definitely recommend. Hotel losses points for the pull out couch.

I merely met up with some friends staying there, but the accomodations were more than adequate. Good pool for entertaining children. Kitchen in suite. Plenty of room and furniture.

The staff was very friendly, the room is clean and big enough for my party of 6. Breakfast was great. It's very close and easy to get to D. C. The only downside is the pool is a little small, but it's a great value and I would highly recommend it.

It was amazing. The hotel was incredible. They served breakfast and from 5pm-7pm they served, what seemed to be another meal. The customer service was outstanding. The hotel was clean. The shuttle drivers were outstanding. They were very knowledgeable and nice. Miguel was a pleasure. He helped us so much.

Great staff. The 2 bedroom suites were great. Clean and well stocked. Duck shaped pool is quite small. The patio, outside kitchen, outside fireplace and pool table in the lobby add a great touch to the property. The free hot breakfast consisted of waffle, oatmeal, eggs, corn beef hash, undercooked sausage links, flimsy bacon, cereal, toast/muffins/bagels, fruit and juice. Certainly room for improvement. This hotel, which is conveniently located near several places to eat. (Now if only the booklet that the hotel provides was a bit more helpful in that area) Location is just an easy 15 minute drive to the National Mall. I'd definitely stay there again.

Lady that works the morning shift (7-3 I assume) with the curly hair, and the pig nose might be one of the rudest Hilton employees I have ever met. Even the simplest tasks (I. E, making a key, asking to put a water on the room) we asked of her she rolled her eyes and had an attitude, almost as if we were a bother to her. As a former employee of a Hilton property, I can say this is not the Hilton way and this kind of behavior should not be tolerated at any Hilton property. The night auditor on Saturday night (1/21/17-1/22/17) was excellent. He handled a noise complaint outside of my room with the utmost professionalism. He showed exemplary customer service skills and probably should be working the day shift, as the current woman will do nothing but leave a sour taste in your mouth at checkout.

Huge rooms, super friendly staff, fantastic prices, family friendly and good breakfast makes this a great place to stay when you visit D. C.

Stayed here multiple times and it is a TDY dream! FREE breakfast and FREE dinner (not a snack like a few of the Marriott joints around town) set this place apart. There are locations closer to DC but I would choose this one again and again! The suites are actually pretty sweet too.

Had a friend staying and went to see his room. I travel all over the world and have been in really nice hotels on every continent other than Antarctica. This room was one of the best I have seen with a fireplace and separate bed room. Strongly recomend.

Very helpful staff overall. At check-in, the staff member very rudely told my friend she would be at our room if we were loud, simply because when she inquired of the occasion my friend stated it was for a bachelorette party. We were clean and quiet and respectful, and I feel like that remark was unwarranted. Otherwise, lovely stay.

Definitely a dated hotel but nice. Not sure it's worth the price but DC is expensive. Suggest looking elsewhere for a SHORT TERM stay.

Stayed there in the 2016 snow storm. I would have gave them a 10 star like but it was all work. If I had to stay again a five. The suite was a great size. The staff was on point. The manager and wife are very nice to talk to. Forget about the price and stay here. It is worth it. It a family like feel of a place. If I know they had a hot tub I would have never left. Great job!

Awesome experience; best stay with great free breakfast and evening reception!

We were in room 523 recently for 4 days. The room was much smaller than depicted on the website, so kudos to the photographer. There was no information in the room about the area, the hotel, the TV, or area restaurants. The hot tub was actually a lukewarm tub every night. In the bedroom every light bulb was burned out except the lamp on the bedside table, which kept shorting out and would stay on continuously only if we sat on the bed. There was no alarm clock in the room and the fireplace timer did not work. When brought to their attention, it was rectified in a timely manner, but for $217 per night, the room should be perfect and it was not. The shuttle service was excellent, the breakfasts predictable, and the evening meals straight from some local food service supplier with no embellishments. Overall, we would probably not stay at a Homewood Suites again due to room size. Other than that, the experience was okay. For us, Milton, one of the shuttle bus drivers, was the highlight of the whole stay. He is a gem.

Newly renovated (2014). Nice rooms, kind and helpful service. Serves breakfast and dinner to guests. Has 10 minute shuttle to nearest metro stop every 1/2 hour. Would stay here again.

THE ROOMS ARE AWESOME! Newly renovated, very clean and house keeping obviously takes pride in there work. Some of the Staff needs some work. Upon arrival my wife had a misunderstanding with the lady at the front desk. The fact that the hotel was under construction did not help (was not informed of construction when booking). I spoke o the manager and he was very friendly and we resolved it as a simple misunderstanding. Manager even offered to discount my room a bit for the issues but I did not feel as though he needed to do that. Now I am not one to be a pesky guest that complains about everything so I did not speak to the manager again but in the morning I was extremely upset: 1. When asking for help from the guy working at the front desk laughed in my face. I don't think I have ever felt so disrespected. 2. At right about 6:30am (which is what time breakfast starts) I asked the ladies in the kitchen if it was ready and they told me to read the sign and went back to there conversation. That being said the customer service did not match what we have experienced with many stays at Homewood Suites all over the country. To the rest of the stay, almost every other staff member I passed or spoke to was extremely friendly, asked how our stay was going and if we needed anything. Perfect location for visiting Washington DC about a 15-20 min drive into DC for us. I would certainly stay at this hotel again and would not judge it off of a few people.

Front Desk needs work with customer service, I approached the front desk to a young lady (Habone) sitting down and did not greet me. She began to be snotty while we checked in and just rubbed me the wrong way. Room was great sparkling clean and maid service brought me an extra towel within ten minutes of asking someone in the hall as I did not want to contact the front desk for anything after my experience.

This place is the worst. Staff does not go out of their way to do anything. Service is beyond bad, and no one cares. Would sleep in the street vs. Staying here again.

The staff here was so accommodating, friendly, and helpful! We stayed here over 4 weeks while our home was being renovated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The facilities were in good condition, the hot meals and breakfast hit the spot, and the staff was cheerful and helpful. We have nothing but thanks for our stay and would recommend this Homewood Suites highly.

Excellent hotel! Front desk staff were very helpful. Breakfast in the lobby was so delicious. Everything was kept well stocked. I will definitely be staying in this hotel again.
