The worst and most abusive hotel experience I have ever had… I will be taking my company’s business elsewhere and we will not use Holiday Inns anywhere in the United States because of the way the incompetent and bullying front desk manager decided to treat me after he lied to me and I called him out.

Don't stay here! we have been here two days and they have not fixed our hot water for the bathroom Yep that's right cold showers! the day time front desk personnel was not very customer oriented, among other things. The pool closes at 9p. We were told there was ice and vending soda machines in each floor. Not the case. She told us a specific amount for incidentals, but we were charged four times that amount. As Travel Agents, we will not recommend or book this property.

Its a wonderful place to stay, cozy
and pleasant for a good rest to enjoy.

Overpriced for what you get. Parking in the garage for guests is $20.00 a night. Breakfast is $15.00, where most hotels this would be free to guests. It wasn’t even that great. No microwave in the room, but you can “rent” one. Internet in the room kept dropping the connection. Pool was only open from 5-8 PM. Other than that, it was an “okay” place to stay. The room was clean and the staff were fine. Hotel restaurant was good and reasonably priced.

This location does not offer morning breakfast. In addition, they do not have happy hour. In less than 3 miles away from here, the Holiday Inn offers those amenities. We would have moved but we brought all our belongings into our room.

During our stay in this hotel the housekeeper stole a pair of Rayban sunglasses and a bottle of Gucci perfume from our room. Of course there is no recourse. The manager is very apologetic but nothing could really be done. I am hoping that making this public will be a deterrent from future incidents or encourage others to speak out about missing items. Of course the hotel is saying nothing had EVER been stolen there before. But in my experience, when someone is confident enough to steal, it isn’t their first time. Other than our property being taken, our stay was… ok.

Wouldn't recommend. We had so many problems. First, the toilet was broken. Second, the shower was broken, and third there was a wet stain on the carpet. Breakfast way overcharged. The key to get in and out of the parking never worked so we had to call someone to get out everytime. Also, our TV didn't work even though it was appearing to be plugged in and looked fine. Don't go here. Go to another hotel and hopefully don't have problems like my family did.

The room we stayed in was VERY spacious (it was at the very end of the hall) and clean. The location is really great, a short trip to the metro will take you to DC and a nice location in Alexandria. The staff was very friendly and the hotel looked pristine. This was my second time staying here and I would definitely stay again.

I had a great room. I could tell it was recently cleaned, but I found a long string of hair on the desk and in the bathroom sink. Don’t know if that was from the maid for not… the AC wasn’t on when I checked into the room so it was at least 90 degrees in there. After an hour, then the room cool down. Parking is $20 a day. The parking machine barely worked. I had to swipe the card multiple times for the system to recognize it. Luckily I have a compact car so It was easy for me to find a parking space, but if you have a truck, Van, or SUV there are limited spaces for you because the support beams in the garage blocks some of the spaces they have marked. The only complaint I have is that once you checked in there is a $50 a day resort fee during your stay they charge at check-in. The resort fee will cover any extra things you purchase during your stay including parking. Luckily I had enough money to cover the fee, but it was really unexpected because there is no mention of a resort fee at all on the website when booking. There was no mention of it on the confirmation page, even on my confirmation email there was no mention of it. All IHG resorts should list on the confirmation pages if there is a resort fee or not so it’s not a surprise once checking in. Over all, I had a great time in the area and the hotel was great. When I’m back in the area, I will defiantly book again at this location.

What a pain — we stayed two nights with 4 kids, they gave us 4 breakfast coupons for our stay and wanted to charge us $14 for each breakfast on the second day. Apparently "free breakfast" comes with stipulations that it's only for two adults per day. So if you have kids, expect to pay $14/day for "free" breakfast. Not to mention arguing with us in front of other guests for 15 minutes that a 13 year old is not an adult… Very poor customer service and very poor online representation of what they offer. Oh and parking is $20/night. So expect to pay quite a bit more than the online rate says!

Clean rooms, lots of space, ideally located. Not too close to the city, but close enough for a short drive. It is pet friendly. There is a dog park 2 blocks away. There is a pool and a gym. The breakfast is perfect and there is a wait staff to help. There is also a bar open in the evening. It would have been 5 stars, but I had to pay for parking and the pool is only open certain hours.

We had a graduation party on May 19, 2018. Their staff are really great. Miss Maria Decena, the party coordinator is very professional, detailed in everything and knowledgeable. The servers are very professional too, very courteous, and. I didn't have to worry about the venue and food. They know what to do. The food was really very good. My guests kept thanking me for the great food and service. The place is very clean. I strongly recommend Holiday Inn! Thank you so much!

King room was spacious, had mini fridge but no microwave. Room had 2 large windows that over looked pool patio. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall great place to stay while visiting the DC area.

We were here only for one night. But it was very clean and comfortable. I was very happy with the parking. It is in a fantastic location. The staff were very friendly and gave good dining recommenations. I will definitely stay here again.

Great Hotel, Great Service. Mrs, Melissa at the front desk was very professional she give us a lot of information about the area in how to get to where we need it to go, the hotel shuttle very convenience. This hotel has a restaurant they have good food, Mr. Tavaris was great very patient with my kids he make us feel very welcome. Great hotel for family with kids. Love It.

Hadn’t charged my credit card for our room when we got there even though I was supposed to have prepaid and two separate representatives had said I was prepaid. That took all my extra money for our vacation. Then they don’t tell you when you book that no matter what, they charge you $50 per day for room service or damages. Supposedly we get that back when we check out, but now they have over $900 of our vacation money. The continental breakfast is not free and it’s disgusting. I for sure wouldn’t pay $10 for it which is what they charge. Finally, we were gone all day until 4:00 in the afternoon and housekeeping hadn’t even emptied our trash or anything. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, no wonder it seems empty this week.

Clean and the beds were comfortable. It's a great location for walking around. There is also a shuttle to the airport and King Street. The breakfast is not free but the room does have a small Keurig. The bar near the lobby closes at 10. There is a nice terrace on the second floor and a brick walking path around the property.

The bad…
Be careful, as there is a new building being built across the street, and the construction is terrible. We were awakened at 7am with the sound of cranes, backhoe beeping, saws, etc. The hotel doesn't advertise this at all, and this is terrible. I brought it to the attention of the manager, and as a result, we had to repack all of our stuff and move to a room on the… other side of the hotel. Such fun with 2 kids… and not to mention, the fact that I have trouble getting around with Stage 4 Cancer. Secondly, we ordered room service the 1st night… and the last time we did so…
It litterally took 2 hours and 40 minutes. After repeated calls to the front desk, and kitchen — mind you, I waited 1 hour 30 minutes before doing so… plenty of time, considereing they said it would take 45 minutes to get our food to us. We ordered at 7pm, and finally got the food at 9:40pm, after finally having to personally go down to the front desk (twice), and the second time, I got the manager to walk with me over to the kitchen. Crazy! Then, the next morning, we decided to go to the breakfast buffet — which they tout is free for kids.

Nicer than expected. Definitely dated though and the walls are way thin. Definitely would have preferred not hearing what was going on in a couple rooms over.

The hotel was clean and beautiful. The room we had was large with a king size bed that was super comfortable. The staff was helpful and super nice. Would definitely stay here again. Food was good but not amazing.

Excellent location for those who have the car… otherwise saw the location not close to the center you are forced to take the taxi… shuttle service only to and from the airport.

Would be 4 stars, but two things. The heat was too hot. I would turn it off bout out would come back on by itself. I woke several times each night. Surprising since the outside temperature was in the single digits. Also they were doing some work on the ground floor and it smelled like airplane glue. Strongly. Almost made you dizzy just walking from the parking area to the elevator.

Started out with AAA booking the room for us. When it seemed like that wasn't working out, we contacted the hotel ourselves. We were supposed to get rooms helpful to our disabilities, that didn't happen. They said they would pick us up with the shuttle at the train station and take us around town. That didn't happen either. We had to Uber everywhere we went. The best thing about it was the Bistro on First inside the hotel. And even that wasn't open for lunch. They wanted you to use room service. The friendliest person there was Mr. Bill at the Bistro. Everyone else needs customer service training.

I always have a great time with the staff in house. Hospitality is their great success. The food is outstanding and the recent remodel has definitely put it back on the books. The new concept of open and airy is great with a large seating area in the front, a larger redesigned restaurant and bar is wonderul and the renovated meeting space is a draw for great conferences to come. Its a great experience and a great place to stay.

This was a very nice hotel. Very good food and service in the restsurant. Make sure you eat dinner there. Very big portions. Very close to Reagan airport. Rooms were clean. I would stay there again.

I was not at all impressed with our room or the room service. My husband and I stayed there 3 nights — — there was supposed to be a small refrigerator in the room. There was none. There was not even a luggage rack in the room — — I finally requested one and got one the next day — — but still no refrigerator. After returning to our room late in the afternoon the second day… no plastic cups in our room and no coffee refills for the next morning… low on toilet paper… but I did get a luggage rack. The afternoon of the third day after returning around 4pm — — there had yet to be any sign of room service. The beds were still unmade, no coffee, no clean towels. I was rather upset! I went back into the hall and saw the 'cleaning cart' outside a room down the hall and waited until I saw the 'housekeeper' show up. I was not happy and asked her to just give me the towels, coffee, and replacement cups. We were tired and didn't want to be disturbed. On top of all that — — taking a shower was a challenge — — the tub was more slippery than ice and there was nothing to hold onto getting into or out of the tub. We had to use a bath towel as a bath mat so we wouldn't slip and get hurt. (This is an issue with ALL hotels these days — — they must love law suits). The bathroom tiles were old and showed signs of mold — — just not cleaned very well. The bath had been remodeled all but the shower tile.

We cannot say enough good things about this great venue. We had a meeting of our home owners' association at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria because we could not have it on site since there was no power due to hurricanes. Not only is the location convenient — just minutes by shuttle from Reagan National, — it is also located within walking distance of some truly fine restaurants and the hotel shuttle is there to take you to the heart of Old Town Alexandria, great public transportation to DC as well. We had breakfast and lunch buffet for participants for two days and the food was excellent and abundant! Members of our group who often go to meetings and conventions commented on how far superior the food at this Holiday Inn was. The rooms and public spaces have a really lovely ambiance — warm and welcoming and that was matched by the super-friendly, super helpful staff. All were are nice as can be to a person — from the reception desk to the housekeepers, the bartenders, the service people in the restaurant (Bethlehem) and the sales person Joylette and the event manager, Joy. Very reasonable prices as well. Highly recommend this hotel for an event or for an individual stay.

Very poor service in the restaurant and the bar. We ordered a meal and finally we got it last two hours? despite our complaints. The room and the hallway with a heavy smell of. Very disappointing.

The hotel is conveniently located to D. C. It smelled AMAZING in the hotel room. There is a hotel bar and also a restaurant. I made reservations thru a 3rd party and wasn't away of the additional funds that were to be put on my card. I was explained these monies where in the event I charged something to my room. It was extremely humid throughout the hotel. My phone thermometer read 83°. Too hot for myself. If you have a medical diagnosis that requires you to be in cool temps, this isn't the hotel for you. There is on street parking, if you can get it. This hotel is within walking distance to restaurants, pharmacy stores, coffee shops.

Great stay! The room and building were clean and mostly updated (decent Wi-Fi, new bed, new fixtures/outlets, etc). The staff was amazing! Super friendly and helpful and made our stay even more pleasant (front desk, custodial staff, breakfast buffet server, and pool life guard).

I am grateful that my family was there to distract me from the horrific accommodations by this hotel! Only one side of our closest door opened which was not only a major inconvenience for a family of four, but extremely dangerous for our daughters. We requested for maintenance to repair it, but no one ever came. Our bathroom sink leaked underneath and their cheap iron almost burned my clothes because of the inability to produce enough steam. I was told that they would have tu…rkey products for breakfast if requested, but there was miscommunication between registration staff and the kitchen staff because they claimed they didn't have any. Lastly, the flood in the garage was most disturbing because we were forced to take shuttles and carpool with family which was uncomfortable and a major inconvenience. They never forwarned us so we were late to our fish fry after we were suprised by the flood. I don't think I will ever stay there again despite them crediting us one night after our complaints. The staffs' hospitality was superb but they gave a false illusion that this is a 5 star facility.

Ok place. The parking is the worst. You park in below ground garage with minimal lighting, no security cameras and when it rains the garage floods up to 2foot of water is certain spots. The Hotel is still under construction. A. C. In room hard to regulate either hot or too cold. No room service as of yet… Good Distance from everywhere you want to go. Nice staff very friendly. Even construction workers. Bldg will have a great look when completed…

Hotel — 3 stars Staff — 5 stars It was a rainy weekend and the parking lot we paid $20 a night for was flooded so my shoes got ruined. They were remodeling so our king size balcony suite had a view of dirt and more dirt. The young lady that checked us in… room 440 on July 28th was not helpful at all. If your customers have to pay to park and wade through the water an explanation of where to go and what to do would be helpful. The only reason I'm not totally bad starring is because when I asked Aaron for an extra blanket, he was on it immediately and Ana, who took care of our room was so kind and helpful also. But, the best of the best was Marilyn… she helped us plan our sightseeing trip for the day and she gave times, locations, and backup plans. I have to say the staff was great except for that one young lady. She needs to thank her co-workers for picking up her slack. Other than the parking issue and remodeling view, the rooms were clean and my family was comfortable.

Very good experience. We showed up at 11pm when our original hotel had no power. They were quick to accommodate us and got us a room for the night. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was pretty good for a hotel breakfast buffet. A shuttle to the airport running every half hour starting at 5:05am was the icing on the cake.

We did not have a good experience at this hotel. The carpet did not look clean one bit! There was a hole in the wall from the electrical plug on the back of the TV, the entire place looked like it was going through complete renovations. The front desk person did not tell us that breakfast was not included with our stay which was very disappointing. This was our first-in time in VA and they DID NOT leave a good impression on us. If I ever go back to Virginia, I know for a fact to never stay at this hotel. I'd be better off at a friend's house. just terrible!

I do not enjoy the city but the hotel is nice. The internet is enough but they are renovating so the 1st floor is off limits for the elevator. Parking is $20 for the day even though the price of the rooms are incredibly inflated. The TV barely has any channels outside of news networks. It's not a place I suggest. But it is clean and plenty to eat in the area…

Very nice hotel in a good location. The hotel is undergoing renovation and the room I stayed in was recently updated. The bathtub/shower was a little dated and looked like it needed to be replaced but it was very clean so overall it was fine. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly and polite. I was very impressed. It's not close to a metro station but the hotel shuttle will take you to one at the airport. Overall really good experience.

Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Property has one washer and dryer. The Wi-Fi is very fast. Hotel HS complementary airport shuttle. Appliances are a bit outdated and cable reception is poor.

The service has been great. Breakfast is a normal buffet breakfast. The lifeguard was on duty but the pool was closed not happy about that. Rooms are very clean and in good shape. I would stay here again.

Services is fantastic. Hotel facilities are meh. If you're lucky, you'll stumble into Mo in the reception desk. This guy is simply awesome and made my experience in the hotel simply great. There rest of the staff were all friendly as well. Cleaning service is doing a good job. The hotel facilities including and especially the rooms themselves aren't the most up to date.

Location is fine. There is a convenient shuttle to and from the airport. Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. However, the nearest Metro station is about a 15 minute walk.

The hotel is great. Quite cheap for staying in a large suite. The $20 parking fee for each day is simply too much though.

Google ad says free breakfast but it is NOT FREE! They did provide comp breakfast for one of our two days but they were very defensive about it, and only provided it because I was persistant. TWO STARS were for MO who was awesome at check in! Very friendly…

Room was clean good help at desk. Shuttle was great. Dont sleep above hotel entrance. Bus loads ok children were out of control. Breakfast server was snotty and wouldnt let you speak.

One of the nicest Holiday Inns I've stayed at. Helpful staff, updated rooms, and a short (free) shuttle from the tourist-district mecca King Street.

The hotel is nice and the rooms are clean and spacious. The only problem is that there needs to be further upgrades to things like the doors and the air condition units. My door is very old and has gaps in it and the air conditioning unit is a little loud. But for the price in this location you can't be beat.

Friendly staff, eager to help. Shuttle service is on time and extremely convenient. Not very close to much if you plan to walk.

The hotel was okay. I could not get a Wi-Fi signal on the fourth floor unless I put my desk chair next to the door. When I called the front desk to inquire about it I was transferred to tech support. Tech support never picked up the phone. It was not a tech issue, it is a signal strength issue. Worked fine in the lobby. Breakfast buffet was satisfactory. There is a small cafe' /pizza place on the property. I made the mistake of going there when I wanted something quick and easy. Around $10 for a personal pizza that looked like something from a Ninja Turtle cartoon. Gooey soupy mess. I just threw the thing away and didn't bother going back down to ask for a refund. I'll book elsewhere the next time.

Great Cust Service, Clean Facility and Fantastic Location. Facility was clean, and our room was beautiful. Some things like the elevator was a little slow, but that was ok (no problem). The front desk personnel was superb. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay again. We stayed 3 nights.

This is one of the worst places I've stayed in, in a long time. For the price. Wow. It's really bad. The lighting in the rooms is dim and they smell moldy and nasty. I was there in late September and the rooms were extremely humid and felt uncomfortable. I changed rooms to get a better one, and still the second room wasn't any better. In fact it was worse. The room had no bedside lamp. How strange is that for a hotel? There was something wrong with the water. It seemed like the hot water came out when I turned the tap to cold. The housekeeping was terrible. There was someone else's hair in the bathtub when I arrived. I would never stay here again. In fact. I'll think twice before I ever book at any Holiday Inn again.

When my wife and I went we really didn't know what to expect. We got in late and we were lost. Fortunately we were greeted warmly and found our location. When we made it to the Hotel the Staff was VERY FRIENDLY and courteous. It is a Location that I will visit again, and one of my favorite Hotels to stay at. Plus it is Clean.
