One of the bigger Red Roofs we have been to. Great location with ample parking. Service was great here and on the key cards they recommended a pizza place which was delicious! However the reason for 4 stars was because they could update the rooms more. Overall great service n friendly staff. Would come here again if I was looking for a hotel within budget!

I don’t care what anyone has said, about this hotel! I had a great experience on mi 1 week vacation stay! Dana, at the front desk was such a sweetheart (I’ve been too a lot of cities/hotels) and I’ve never truly met anyone like her (she has a heart of gold and she makes sure that the workers do good for the travelers that come to stay! “Remember if ppl don’t take pride in there hotel it will say a lot about the place and no one will not want to stay if it’s not up to part”! I felt so welcoming even mi housekeeper “Darlene” was amazing she also takes pride in what she does! “Viewers remember everybody has a job to do and everybody has not been Dealt with a sliver spoon in their mouth”! I will be back to stay here on mi next vacation!

Well it depend… when I check in I feel good. Its a budget hotel if u want to save some money. Morning front staff was not very service orientated.

Accommodations are okay. Mikey's wouldn't work which was pretty annoying and inconvenient after spending the day there. I wish the rooms were a bit more spacious. Not really a good location to any beaches relative to other hotels.

The accomodations were great and friendly staff. When we arrived our reservations were in order and we were given a room by the pool. Thank you for a great two days. We will return.

Room smells like smoke, bathroom is sub-par in cleanliness, constant police patrol through the parking lot, you get what you pay for. Pool is nice, breakfast is a joke, walked to. Waffle House…

I stayed here for free because my flight got diverted and they had to put us up somewhere. This is the type of place that you're worried has bedbugs (I looked for them before getting into bed, there were none). There is no mini bar, there is no hairdryer. This is a barebones kinda place. The bed was not particularly comfortable, and the room smelled a bit moldy. But hey, at least it was a place to sleep?

Very clean room. We liked the tiled floors that are much cleaner than carpeting that you usually find in motel rooms. There are several fast food eateries within a few blocks of the Red Roof. Roosters is on the other side of the gas station next door. Don't miss it for a great breakfast! Our room had a microwave, small refrigerator and a 32" LCD TV with cable.

Cleaning staff are very nice and funny people. Enjoyed both stays.

The air conditioner was dirty, my room smelled like cigarettes and the bathroom light didnt fully turn off with the switch. The room as a whole triggered an allergic reaction. Would not visit again.

All of the staff have been very polite and friendly. The rooms and parking lot are clean as well. I'd stay again.

Very nice clean room. We've already booked our room for vacation in May. This was a very sudden unexpected trip and red roof was right on time with a good room and a great price. And we got to bring our dog at no additional price. Thank you.

Easy to find and with all the snow we had, they had everything salted and plowed (unlike just about every other business around here)

Red Roof is one of the top of lines hotels I would ever stay at I love the people there the customer service and also housekeeping they reached New Heights to deliver the best service that they can offer.

Conveniently located, reasonable rates, clean room, extremely friendly staff. It's nothing fancy, but it met our needs perfectly.

Same as another review that I just read: My room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it definitely smelled like cigarettes. Other than that, no real complaints; it was just adequate.

I stayed at this location because of closeness to everything. There is a 7/11 and gas stations, dunkin donuts, Wendy's and local Bar that has food and pool tables… only downside is that it is a smoking bar so fair warning. The closeness to the highways was appealing too. I did not like this Red Roof at all. The smell was absolutely overwhelming and I switched rooms twice. I gave it one star because the front desk staff is awesome and so are the cleaning staff. It is just that motel could use some updating the carpets need to go. The ac/heat unit needs to be updated and the beds are hard. The furniture also needs to go… very old and ripped up. I don't have any pictures to show because I checked out the very next day I just could not deal with the smell. I stayed at the Red Roof Inn on Ballard Ct that is the one that I love… they had no carpet and the rooms were clean and tidy and NO SMELLS. Only let down is the one by Ballard Ct you have to drive to find things to do they have a Dennys but that is about it.

You get what you pay for. The room was okay, but everything seemed dirty and not very well kept. Everything fixture was rusty, and the carpet felt nasty. The mattresses felt like the cheapest spring mattress ever. It was cheap though… Getting donuts from Krispy Kreme in the morning was a pleasant surprise, but they should have a no sugar option at least.

Stayed here for one week vacationing with my grand daughter. The staff were wonderful. The room was cleaned every day, the pool was very well kept. Centrally located, quiet at night. Great price… would definatly come again!

Booked a room a week in advance to come from Ohio. Arrived at 4am with, after the drive with 2 small children, unpacked every thing only to pull back the blankets and find MULTIPLE pubic hairs and debris on the bed. The lady at the desk was very polite and understanding and switched us rooms, so we had to pack everything down the stairs, that we had just drug up the stairs. Not a good impression. The rooms aren't horrible but I feel they aren't up to par with the cost. I found hair all over the tile part of the floor, dried on it. The carpet left socks, my babies feet and legs, and clothes black. There was no attention to cleaning detail at all. If you have babies, this place isn't for you. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone just becAuse I didn't feel comfortable at all. It just isn't clean. A lot of the features are very ran down as well. Bathroom door wouldn't shut, ac/heater was old and rusted, cords were painted over, and every corner was full of dirt and debris.

Room smelled and employee at front desk was no help. He treated us a like we were bothering him. Arrived late at night and he refused to help us book a room with our Red Roof discount card. When I told him the room smelled bad, he said there was nothing he could do about it. Didn't even offer to let us switch rooms. And this place was not fully booked. Asked for extra towels, he said we'd have to wait until the morning crew was there. 4 people. 2 towels. Guess two of us didn't need showers before we left. We were leaving before the morning crew was due to arrive. The free breakfast was left over donuts from the night before… And I know this because the donuts were there and open for any to eat when I checked in. Same donuts when I checked out! Just not the place or experience I expected. And we stay at Red Roof all the time!

Oh, how horrible this room really was! IF I COULD RATE NO STARS, I WOULD! There was music thumping till 3AM from a source I couldn't locate. Boogers on the walls, rust on the hinges of the doors, the sheets on the beds were damp, no hair dryer in the room, the emergency exit light outside our room was hanging by the wires, room service didn't clean anything or make the beds, they just threw some "clean" towels on one of the beds, took the trash but just left replacement trash liners laying on the desk in the room, the towels were infant sized but as rough as 80 grit sandpaper, I'm pretty sure the TP wasn't even 1ply… maybe 1/2 ply (is that even a thing! ) and the list goes on! I booked with Orbitz at $135 a night for 2 nights with $47 in taxes and fees. Somehow, at the desk my rate changed to $155 a night plus taxes and fees. What a DUMP! What a ripoff!

It's not that bad of a place, I could stay here if I had to. The rooms are relatively clean and the front desk staff was nice. I had a charger stolen out of my room and another person had their car broken into here.

Stop on your thumb in Virginia Beach. Not really a good idea on a Saturday night without a reservation. The bed was comfortable, the toilet, the sink and the bath were still clean but the floor really dirty! Wouach! There was still a toenail next to the bath… A dead body of I didnt know what insect and and hair and bristles everywhere even in the bed there was a hair. We still paid US $140 for the night. I can tell you that even if the lunch eétait included, we left in the first hour without lunch.

We really liked this hotel. The room looked exactly like the picture posted online and it was pretty nice for the cost. I was surprised at the variety of channels we were able to watch on TV during our down time and the Wi-Fi was pretty good. I am usually disappointed when it comes to showers in hotels and the pressure and temperature of the water but I was pleasantly surprised that the water was nice and hot and the pressure was good! I would make a note though that the water could get extremely hot if you put it over too far, just a warning. The beds were nice, plenty of pillows and the room was made up very nicely when we got back from our day at the beach. The location of it was great as well, not too busy and only 14 miles away from Virginia Beach.

This was a bad experience on Northampton bivd norfolk Virgini. My wife told them that it was bed bugs in the room and they were sayying that she was lying but we had the picture for proof, and she even asked them to come to the room and check it out and they didnt. The people at the front desk said come back and she would get her money back. So we did just that, but the manger was so rude and said she was a liar saying that bugs fly in all the time but these bed bugs clearly didnt that were on the bed and billows his exact words was in order for you to get the money back you have to have gotten bitten by the bed bugs lol what kind of stuff is that really we checked in about 5 left at 10 remind you we were out hanging the room looked clean very cleab but it was hidden in the sheets. This so called manger was so rude and he didnt even want to look at the pic or go to the room I understand he may have beeb upset but we came at him correctly and kind to him well my wife did and he just said she was a liar instead of being reasonable just flat out nasty for no reason now we could have took the pillows and showed them but we was going about the right way we know that many people stay at the hotels so yes it is a chance that you could get bed bugs but he just continued to say my wife was lying so really they dont get no stars at all.

Great experience at the this Red Roof Inn! The staff was always friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and have the necessities needed for a peaceful stay. They provide juice, coffee and Krispy Kreme donuts every morning in the lobby. All in all for a few nights stay I was comfortable, treated nicely by everyone and enjoyed my stay for the very reasonable price. If I'm in the area again this will be where I check in. Thanks to everyone at the Red Roof Inn!

Rooms were clean, Shower stayed hot, I slept like a baby. Woke up refreshed and the staff was outside on my way to get coffee and they were very friendly and funny. I had no problems at all. For a 3 star hotel, I had a better stay than the $150 double tree down the street, for fraction the price. I left in an awesome mood.

The service was nice, rooms were well made, very nice people.

Stopped in for a couple of hours of sleep on my way home and I would have been better off sleeping in my car. The mattress felt like sleeping on a child's crib mattress. The room was far from the cleanliness of other red roof inns that I have stayed in. I have stayed in dive motels that were cleaner and better quality than this place. I wouldn't recommend staying at this property under any circumstance.

This place was so bad it doesn't even deserve a sad there was dirty clothes in the bed, holes in the wall, and flies everywhere. If there was any other place with rooms we would have gotten a refund!

The room itself wasn't bad. The room was clean and updated. The air conditioner/heater didn't work. It was either way too cold or too warm. No in between. What I did have a problem with is that we paid close to $200 for 1 night. I had no coffee maker in my room, nor was there any breakfast. For that price I expect a lot more than what I got. After we checked in there was no information in the room regarding local restaurants or anything. Again for the price of this room I was completely robbed fro what I got. I could have paid a lot less for just a bed for a night.

Nothing fancy, but it's a great price and lots of space. They have a pool, gym & basketball court. Staff is somewhat friendly depending on who's at the front desk. Perfect location close to the airport.

I moved from Hawaii to Virginia Beach and was in to process of house hunting. My family is currently at my mother-in-laws so it was just me and my dog traveling. I traveled from California to here and stayed at many different hotels, motels, ect. This is by far the best I've stayed at for the money! All I really need is a clean bed, shower and working TV which Red Roof Inn provided. They don't charge for pets (1 only, if more there's a fee) which saved me tons of money. On our road trip here, I spent an average of $90 a night and was very displeased with the accommodations others provided for the money. At less than $50 a night here, it was perfect. I thought the front desk woman was amazing, the men are a little less friendly but all in all a very good experience. The neighborhood takes some getting used too but the parking lot is very well lit and I felt safe. If you're on a budget and need a clean, friendly place to stay I highly recommend this place!
