Disgusting. It smelled so bad when I walked in the room I gagged. People were very nice there. I would never stay at another Days Inn again. I feel like I should get half my money back. Was not worth almost $90 for that disgusting room.

Vents broken. Sundries (toilet paper. Shampoo) not replaced when used. Hair conditioner not supplied. Sheets left crumbled under covers. Air conditioner fans blow but no cold air comes out. Food served fresh but not hot. Outlets don't work. No fan in bathroom. Fruit (apples) are not fresh/rotten/mushy. The staff is very friendly and helpful (behind the desk and breakfast lady)

The room was clean bed was soft people were nice pool was open till late which was good breakfast was delicious ended up being late but they still cooked for us it looks like they're working on it out in front but other than that it's fine to me had a good time.

Do not stay here. The first room we got smelled like straight urine, and the beds where flipped over and on top of each other… the second room was “clean” but we soon found dead bugs under the blankets. The carpets were sticky, so we needed to wear our shoes the whole time in the room. Then we got locked out of the room on the second day. Definitely think it was over priced for what we experienced.

The front desk lady was very nice, but the rooms are disgusting. The a/c sucks and my bed had bedbugs. First and last time.

Great service and great rates but their Beds are hard.

Do not stay here! Breakfast was terrible, had to beg for the password, staff is not friendly, and to top it off at around 8 am they began working on a room beside us which consisted of loud banging. The room itself was nice aside from all the other things. Worst days inn experince.

The lady at the front desk was nice. The problems were the rooms. The air conditioner worked on and off. When I turned on the tap to the sink, yellow water came sputtering out. Over all the place is old, and dirty.

The rooms are not good for the price the sink was cracked and tub was filthy. They advertise free breakfast with the room but wanted to charge us 30 dollars extra for it. We left for 2 days came back and still had one night stay and they had cleaned our room out.

Has bed TV and shower what more do you need good place to spend the night wouldn't want to live there.

Warning! They'll charge you even if you cancel your reservation! Official government travel was cancelled at last minute due to the government shutdown. Trip itinerary was cancelled in our travel system, yet this hotel charged me for the night; despite the fact I never checked in. Do not stay here.

Only reason for more then one star is front dest womans help. All 3 are for that person not the hotel that I've been in nicer pay per hour motels had books under one leg of bed. But then when you go out to bring in your bedding because the ones in there were covered in stains. And then see so guy parked next to mine getting his dick sucked in his car by some large beast hope was a woman but could been fat man too. Only good thing there was the woman who worked front desk very polite and helpful got in late wanted some fast food closet one was closing in 5 mins she called her friend that worked there gave my order so when got to window as they were shutting off lights they had my food ready and she had given me the exact change so her friend could ring it through and cash out there DRAW. After 6hrs trip with stops was nice to have good dinner before settled in for night.

This is probably the 20th time I have stayed at this hotel, and I keep coming back because of the free hot breakfast. Scrambled eggs bacon hot cakes home fries made from scratch. Can't beat the value at a motel where the rooms are approximately $50. The place is a bit run down, but still a great value for the price.

I have been here since Friday the rooms are clean tv's are flat not them old big backs. Everything has been redone rug and everything. I enjoy the hot breakfast eggs, beacon, flat jacks. It's really nice. When I'm in town I will stay here.

After taking my family to Kings Dominion. We needed a place to stay. All motels was booked. So l looked them up. The pictures on their website. Was a lie. The room is disgusting. It was funky. The tub was nasty. Dead roaches everywhere sheets nasty. Left over trash still in room. I called around tried to find another motel had no luck. I had to wrap my baby up in blankets cause I didn't want anything to bite her. They really do need to shut the place down. I paid $ 83.77 for a room that I was just nasty. Will never stay again and would not recommend to anyone else. I didn't want to give them a star.

The girl at the front desk was very nice. It was all downhill from there. The room was non smoking, but reeked of smoke. The room was disgusting. I had to wash the toilet seat, the faucet hadn't been cleaned in months. There was a dead fly on the lamp shade. One of the towels was stained, the grout in the tub needed a good scrubbing. The sheets were clean and smelled of bleach, thank goodness. I would not step in the tub without flip flops. The free breakfast was gross. The only reason we stayed here was because we had been looking for a place to stay for over an hour and we were tired. We did check for bedbugs and didnt see any. When we were checking out, a gentleman was also checking out and told the girl he had reserved the room for a second night but didnt want to stay.

Lots of bugs for some reason. Different kinds of bugs too, it's really odd. Our room has a stink bug up in the corner, and there was a big ole cockroach by the door when we walked in. I stepped on a hornet near my bed and killed the poor thing (luckily it didn't manage to sting me). I would suggest this place for budding young entomologists, but not for those averse to insects. As for the room itself, it was dated and fairly dirty — the whole building could certainly use some TLC actually. But at least it was cheap? You get what you pay for I guess.

Absolutely will never even think about going back to this place. The pictures in the advertising are NOTHING like this nasty place! We got there and the front desk lady was extremely rude would barely speak to us. We get to our room and it’s filthy A lot of things were broken and very poorly taken care of. It smelled like they just went in and sprayed air freshener. Our bed sheets had black hair all in it. We had to call front desk for new sheets and some homeless looking guy came with them all bunched up. For which he was staying a couple rooms down with people hanging out and sitting all over the sidewalks. For some reason they kept walking back behind the building making us feel very uncomfortable. They gave you breakfast passes that you got to choose 1 of 3 things on the list. Which was like almost nothing. Decided to just go to Waffle House instead so we aren’t starving when we leave. Would never in a million years call or even go to this place again. I give a 1 because that’s as low as I can go.

Driving from New York, we got tired half way down to our destination so we checked into this Days Inn off of I-95… we got the last room available, thinking we scored (even though it was over f**king priced) but whatever. We're tired. Got into the room… burn holes in the sheets, room smells like death, flipped the blanket up and the sheets are stained… A chunk of something that looked like a booger… Nope. Prefer sleeping in my car… thanks though.

If you go to the website and look at Ruther Glen Days Inn website and you look at the pictures they provide DO NOT BE FOOLED like me and my family was. This hotel looks nothing like the pictures. It is extremely outdated and it was so disgusting. The clerk for the office was very rude and carried a judgemental look on her face while I registered which I would assume would be from me trying to cancel the reservation before I even seen the rooms. The outside of the hotel and the lobby were very outdated and also had a strange smell. So upon entering the hotel parking lot I knew this was not going to be for me and my family. The clerk told me I could not get a refund because I had a reservation. We went to our rooms and there was hair on the floors and there was trash behind the beds. The linens were stained, fixtures outdated, furniture was wobbly and the smell was worse than stale. There were bugs located on the inside of the room on the window and some placed on the floor. I was very disappointed and stressed at this point and we went back to the park. We arrived back at around 10:40 pm and myself and my niece took a shower and I was extremely itchy after mine and she had stated she was too when she finished her shower. I immediately looked me another hotel and was lucky enough to find one right up the street that was so much nicer and the clerk was a great help. They would not refund the money for one night stating that we used the pool and the shower.

Was almost afraid to stay based on earlier reviews. However. It was a great place to stay on our way to Washington DC from Florida. Staff was courteous (we arrived after midnight), room was totally clean, and we had an amazing cook to order hot breakfast. Choices of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, home fries, toast, and More! Yes it's an older place, but great for a quick family stay.

We stayed here one night. Came in late and were happy to find an updated, nice Denny's to have a late dinner across the street. The hotel is not fancy but the breakfast was pretty good. No complaints on our room.

It was awsome but the water in the shower was not all that great and I wish the pool stayed open longer.

I agree with the last comment. Giving 1 star is being generous. And they wanted $129 a night initially because of an event down the road. LOL I've stayed in $29 a night hotels that were better. Cushion fabric ripped off the guest chairs and just hanging. The bathroom door was so rotted at the bottom that you could literally twist it like a pretzel. The shower head so clogged with calcium that there was nearly no flow at all. The internet went out about 7pm and never came back up even after repeated calls. No coffee pot. The vanity light took 10 minutes to warm up and finally come on. And I could go on and on. Just wish I could attach some pictures. Avoid this place like the bates motel.

Giving one star is being very generous. This is by far the worst place we have ever tried to stay. We read the reviews online and hoped for the best, but when we got to this Days Inn we waited a while to get our room key. Once we got our room key we thought all was well, we parked and went upstairs after an exhausting day at Kings Dominion. As walking up the stairs we smell marijuana and thought someone was just having a good time outside somewhere or we just were wrong about the smell so proceeded to our room. Once we got to our room we saw a light on and proceeded to open the door. Once we opened. There was someone else inside of the hotel room! Not only did they give us a key to a room someone else was staying in, but the whole room was hot boxed with marijuana and smelled up the whole second floor. Fortunately for them, they gave us our money back. We spend 15 dollars more and went elsewhere. Do not waste your time or money with this place. It really isn't worth it.

I drive tractor trailer for a living and everytime I go through Virginia I stay there because of the large truck parking lot and the rooms are great along with the breakfast.

Don't speak English well at all, very little privacy and they charge your credit card additional fees once you have checked out! After they had "cleaned" our room there were hairs all over the bathroom and the floor was NOT vaccumed. Having to get a lawyer involved. DO NOT STAY HERE! The dining room/lobby smell like stale grease and when you walk out after checking in your clothes reak! Horrible, horrible hotel! Creepy people staring at you and looking in the windows at all hours.

Horrible, creepy, bad area (people constantly walking around outside), flooding toilets, sheets not cleaned… Need I go on?

Sorry I had to give it one star, no other option, rooms where very dirty, never vacuumed, boogers on the wal near the beds, no soap shampoo or large bath towels, I even had to go to the front desk for toilet paper. Front desk didn't care at all, will never stay here again.

The worse motel I have ever stayed in. Rooms were disgusting and so were the bathrooms. I would not recommend this room to anyone.

This place was gross! The water was gross, so brown and yellow. We couldn't wait to get of there, we didn't want to dare try their food because the water made my husband very ill. We didn't know the water was gross until we ran the shower in the morning and appeared to be clear in the sink. He was puking the whole way home. So much for a restful stay from traveling. I will never stay at another days inn.

Very dirty rooms and bed sheets was dirty. And a shower had brown and yellow water. And the breakfast was so bad I almost gaggedi stayed 4 days because it was payed for by another party.

It was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed at. Hairs on the floor and tub. Sent someone to clean and it was just as dirty when they left. Eeeewwwww.
