This Hampton inn was convenient for us as it was off the highway. The room was nice but had a couple of issues. I would return but only because it is so close to the route I traveled.

Great hotel experience! Very clean and comfortable. We've been here several times and will continue to come when we are passing through Virginia!

Nice breakfast. Very clean. On a fast, less congestive route to Chicago. Wish it had a hot tub, but probably wouldn't have had time to use. Great value for $.

Nice hotel. The bathroom was very clean and the beds were awesome! The room was clean. The walls were scuffed and do need painting. That didn't interrupt our sleep at all! The breakfast was like all the other Hamptons.

Best night's sleep in a hotel I've ever had! The comforter (or duvet) was the perfect weight without sweating me to death all night! The bathrooms were big and very nice. The breakfast was wonderful! I would come here just for the breakfast bar! (And my kids loved the waffles! ) Pool is a decent size and they didn't complain about that, either. Very nice!

I stay at Hampton Inns most of the time, and usually it's a good experience with comfortable beds and a reasonable rate… But my room had the loudest A/C unit I've ever had. Also, my room, smelled like it may have been a smoking room in the past… Still better than the Lake Norman, NC property!

Stayed 2x last week. On the way south and again coming home. Reservations were easy. Room was clean and quiet.

Very nice rooms and amenities. Breakfast is nothing great. Stick with fruit and cereal. Didn't try the waffles or oatmeal.

This place was terrible. Our family of four had been traveling for almost 12 hours, in March 2018. The kids were looking forward to a swim in the pool at the hotel. Well that wasn't going to happen. The pool was a green color, had a slim covering the entire surface along with pods of bubbles everywhere. So gross. Also, we were supposed to have a room for five but had to request the cot. The exercise room smelt so bad that you couldn't even stay in the room. So after a long day of driving and sitting, we were very disappointed to not be able to stretch our legs in the pool or exercise room. We were so disgusted that we thought about continuing our drive south but we were worried we wouldn't find a room anywhere else, giving that it was March Break. So we opted to go out for dinner, wash the car, anything to take up time until it was time to sleep. We wanted to spend as little time as possible in that hotel. We booked with Hampton based on its excellent reputation, so you can imagine our disappointment when we arrived in Roanoke.

Let my medication in the room, After several calls, the manager, finally sent it by FedEx.

This hotel is modern, the staff was friendly and helpful. It has an indoor pool, business center and fitness room. You can hear some noise from the hallway. I believe it was coming under the door. The room included a nice lounging chair with a tray or commuter desk which was very helpful if you wanted to do some work. If you have a Hilton Rewards card free Wi-Fi is included with your stay.

Nice spot but a little pricey.

Rooms are quiet and high-roofed, with relatively firm mattresses. No luggage racks. Bathrooms are clean but need remodeling in small areas like caulk. Lobby pool is very green. Front desk staff is polite and friendly but not super knowledgeable. Exercise room smells like urine. Breakfast buffet is standard sweet frozen pastries, "cheesy egg omelettes", and fake waffle batter. There is fresh fruit, oatmeal, bagels, and booked eggs too. Air conditioning is hard wired into rooms and fan cannot be turned off, so will check on and off again every few minutes your whole visit, no matter what temperature you set. This is quite loud. Showers in different rooms have varying water pressure, some OK and some poor.

Clean rooms. Small parking lot. No room for trucks with trailers. But overall great place.

Hotel was going through a remodel, but it did not affect our stay. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was courteous and efficient. Very good place for a stay to break up a road trip.

Friendly staff. Easy checkin. Could use a bit of tlc. Noticed some areas in room are worn. Overall was a comfortable place to rest.

Higher priced hotel right off interstate. Older, rooms nothing special for the price. No feather beds here. Desk personnel not so kind. Breafast was nothing special. Coffee brown water. Does have indoor pool and right next door to a great Mexican Restaurant.

The Hampton Inn Roanoke is am excellent place to stay ; it is right of I 81. The staff at the front desk go's out of its way to help you and make your stay as pleasant as possible. The room was clean and fully stocked. I do recommend this hotel.

Good service. No problems with the room. Breakfast options were not quite as varied as other places I've stayed.

Par for the course with Hampton inns. This one is a bit smaller than others that I have been in lobby wise but the rooms were clean, bed was fine, no weird smells or any reason to suspect and poor upkeep or house keeping. Convenient location for passing through on a road trip. You can't go wrong here, but it's nothing special.

Ok location about 30 minutes from Virginia Tech. The rooms were clean but getting a little work and the furnishings could use some updates.

You always can count on a Hampton. Spacious room and accommodating desk folks, they will make it right. Didn't like the eggs this time, but options were numerous for breakfast. Slept well to auto ocean sounds and comfortable king bed.
