Planning a wedding from twelve hours away would have been so difficult without this beautiful young lady. Melissa was amazing and made everything so easy, stress free and gorgeous for my daughter's wedding. The Quirk Hotel and its staff exceeded our expectations of the intimate, elegant wedding that Claire dreamed of having. Once she secured Polegreen for the ceremony, I ran a search on hotel and reception venues. Quirk came up first. We took one look and knew our search was over. We were in awe of its charm. She contacted Melissa, and everything just fell into place. That beautiful girl is amazing. I tried to capture a photo of each guest as they entered the lobby for the first time throughout the the week. As they stood and admired the beauty of your precious hotel, most commented, "Okay, now I get why we all came this far! " This West Tennessee family will always be grateful for this hotel and its staff for the picture perfect wedding you helped give our children.

A nice artsy experience. We enjoyed drinks at the rooftop bar and breakfast in the lobby restaurant. The bed was very comfortable too.

My wife and I attended a wedding here this past weekend and loved Quirk. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the design/decorations of the hotel were stunning. Their roof top ceremony was gorgeous over looking the city and the champagne hour in the lobby was wonderfully decorated with plenty of seating and space for all of the guests. I would definitely visit this hotel again.

Went to the rooftop bar. One of the best views in the area for sure. Comfortable seating too. I just had Sprite so no idea how good the drinks are, but I'm told very good. Great decor too.

The decor is unusual and amazing l… the entire place looks like a Barbie house. It's modern and elegant. There are thoughtful amenities… the rooms come fully stocked with incidentals, so you don't have to run to 711 or the ABC, if you don't want to. The rooftop bar has an amazing view of the city of Richmond. Service is great, but I found out from a friend who stays there frequently, that the good is overpriced and is nothing special, so we decided not to find out, for ourselves.

The venue is just great. You get to see the entire city from the rooftop. We ordered drinks, my drink was really disgusting, but our server said no problem what can I get you. I switched my drink, which the new drink was great! I did not get charged for the new drink. I'm happy!

This review is for the rooftop bar. Very, very nice. Friendly staff. Kind of pricey and the snack menu is limited. I definitely recommend a visit. Normal opening time is 5pm. It is weather permitting, but not before 5 regardless. I couldn't find this anywhere on Google or the website. Be sure to stop by.

Great place to have a cocktail on the roof and stay! Enjoyed meeting old friend there — super friendly staff and unique vibe/architecture of old and new! Definitely a must see when in the city or destination visit.

Oh my goodness! You must stay here! Extraordinary experience in every respect! Definitely plan on enjoying appies and drinks in the lobby/bar open area, as well as a meal in the restaurant. The roof is spectacular … as also rooms, service, and location!

The hotel is really cute. It's delicate and, well … Quirky. But it is well done, and evident that thought was put into every detail. The rooms are quite comfortable, with unique decorations. The roof top bar has a really great view, perfect for a sunset drink or enjoying a nice evening. We didn't try the food during our stay, but all other aspects of the service were above expectations. Every staff member we met was super friendly and eager to help. All-in-all, it was a very pleasant stay.

Loved this place. Service was great, whether at the front desk or in the lounge. Rooms are adorable. This was an old department store that has been converted to a hotel. It has an interesting history. Yes, they do accept pets, and made quite a fuss over our little 3lb poodle. The hotel is in the art district and they have decorated the rooms with works by local artists. Ours were odd, but seemed to fit the setting. They used some of the wood that they removed from the building during renovation to make the headboards of the beds. They are a whitewashed hickory. You cannot even find hickory anymore.

I absolutely love this hotel. I travel often for work and stay in many hotels throughout the country. This hotel was one of the best places I have stayed in quite some time. It is beautiful, hip, and in a great location in Richmond. I absolutely love the decor! The staff was kind and helpful. The food was outstanding. I will be coming back many many more times. Kudos to the owners and the designers for making this hotel such a special and unique place to stay.

I visited the Quirk Hotel gift shop to buy a card and, as always, was tempted to purchase everything in the shop. I was greeted warmly by the staff, everything was clean and orderly, and I loves the Little Nomad pop up shop in the front gallery. Customer service was attentive and helpful and offered a cute bag, tissue paper, and bow for the gift I purchased.

Awesome "quirky" spot, favorite place to stay in Richmond! Restaurant is awesome Too, service is classy, food is authentic, flavorful, very humid downstairs with the summer weather and exposed kitchen, sound doesn't travel well but those are minor annoyances. Had the fettuccini truffle dish! Impeccable!

Best hotel in Richmond. Awesome rooftop bar that knows how to have a good time. Staff makes you feel like you are the most important person at the establishment. Rooms are great and atmosphere is elegant with a casual feel so different types of guests can get the kind of experience they each were hoping for. Visit The Quirk and have an amazing experience I know I will again.

I've never had such personable and helpful customer service at a hotel before. Great job to the core team. Rick in particular was a standout. This was a staycation for me and it was fun to be able to rent bikes and explore downtown and enjoy the rooftop bar and crash. Highly recommended.

Great hotel with the best lobby and artwork I've ever seen! I go to Quirk once a week for business meetings and the staff is very courteous — — they even open the front door for you. I've been up to the roof top bar in the evenings where you have the best views of downtown Richmond. Stop by to see the artwork, grab a cup of coffee and sit on a pink comfy sofa to chat with a friend, stay the night in their quirky, unique rooms (you'll love them all! ) or have a nice meal or business meeting in the lobby.

Fantastic hotel with an incredible restaurant. The service is friendly and continuously professional. Every concierge, valet, and waitress has been nice and easy to talk with. Modern furnishings and high ceilings create a bright, welcoming atmosphere. Quiet is now my favorite hotel in the Richmond area.

We absolutely loved our stay here. They upgraded us to a penthouse suite and we could bring our dog which was awesome. The food, service and uniqueness of the hotel give it five stars.

Part of the River City Food Tour of the Arts District. Very distinct aesthetic to the place. Think industrial Wes Anderson. We had a pasta dish with squash and brown butter and it was pretty great. Had a Tea Time mixed drink. Something with early grey gin and lavender and lemon. That was pretty great too. The Feng shui isn't outstanding but it is definitely worth a visit.

I met a few friends for happy hour. The setting is stunning. I got the cheese puffs which were amazing and a large serving. One of my friends has a soy allergy and the staff worked very hard to accommodate her.

Wow. This place is incredible! Of course it's somewhat expensive but the food in completely worth it! The decor was absolutely beautiful, and I love the white and pink theme they have. Everything is very open, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The food was cooked to absolute perfection. Would HIGHLY recommend going there to absolutely everyone.

Nice — a good value for the money. A classy, cutesy, and hip hotel in a really interesting old building right in the heart of Richmond. Sometimes the "hip factor" was a little out of control, though. $8 for a bowl of Fruit Loops? Really?

This place is way to expensive for what it is. The cheap styling of all the rooms is just a ploy to make it look nice. The beds aren't comfortable and the pillows are flat. While it may look nice on Instagram, the facade is easy to see past, the sparse hipster decor is cheap and trendy leaving you feeling like you're in a college dorm. The modern wall colors and artwork barley cover up the old dilapidating building. The elevators are rickety and the swipe cards only work half the time. The housekeeping wouldn't leave us alone. The shower has no water pressure and the lights are barley screwed into the wall. Also there is no parking, unless you want to pay even more money for a valet. The one good thing is I don't have to stay here again.

Great bar experience even agter 10 pm on a Sunday. Pleasant and attentive bartender, E. Made us excellent drinks. Love the decor as well.

As a wedding venue this hotel was a huge disappointment. The hotel itself is adorable with multiple fabulous spaces for a small wedding. Unfortunately the staff and management seem to know nothing about weddings and repeatedly presented challenges. They started with telling my daughter (the bride) the week before the wedding that they changed their minds about some crucial details for the wedding dinner. She was able to come to a compromise with them but greatly disliked having to argue so close to her wedding date. They didn't have anything to hang a wedding dress from and seemed puzzled that we didn't want to stuff the dress in the closet or toss it on the bed. They bumped the wedding cake and nearly ruined it (their chef was able to repair it). They added $700 to my credit card for my one night stay and took two days to straighten it out. The thing that bothered me the most was the lack of a runner for my daughter to walk down in the courtyard where the ceremony was held. The floor was filthy and her dress was streaked with black by the time she made it to the front of the room. If they can overcome these issues, they could be a top venue for small weddings. If not, look elsewhere.

I have had a very poor customer service experience at this hotel. My family had been in discussions with the hotel staff for several weeks regarding having a pre-wedding party for my sister and her fiance next summer, which would include renting the rooftop bar and also blocking rooms for the wedding weekend. Things seemed to be going alright at first; we were told that the minimum number of rooms to block was 20, and that they had to be paid upfront — not how it is done at other hotels in Richmond, but fair enough, and we agreed. Then we were told that the price per room actually INCREASES, the more rooms that are booked… where is the logic in that? And then, after weeks of discussion, the hotel tells us that we actually need to commit to a block of 40 rooms (double what we initially agreed), paid upfront, with a progressively increasing rate per room. We were quite surprised by yet another change to the agreement, and upon inquiring further, the hotel staff finally admitted that, "other guests get upset when the rooftop is closed off for private parties. " So instead of just telling us from the get-go that they cannot accommodate us for a private event, they jerked us around for weeks and tried to get more and more money out of us until they figured we would back out of the deal. Customer service at its worst. Moral of the story: Don't bother trying to book the rooftop for your event, and don't block rooms here for weddings!

A great boutique hotel mixing art with a clean vintage vibe. Eyad at the front desk was extremely helpful in resolving a problem I had with my original room. He was polite, patient, and efficient, despite being the only one managing the front desk with multiple customers and a ringing phone to take care of. The hotel is well located with good food options all around. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in town. Protip: if noise bothers you request a room that does not have an adjacent connecting room (internal door), as they are not soundproofed against noise in the other room.

Walked in the door and blown away by beauty. Class and Elegance abound. Organized; structured and fun. Once you get to the roof top there are no pesky bugs to contend with just clear gorgeous panoramic views of the city and whatever else you see beyond city limits. This is another place I'd give more than five stars to if I could. And, the food is pretty tasty on the rooftop; although a little limited in choices. Seating is also limited and there is typically standing room only unless you get there before happy hour.

Great place to experience downtown Richmond and chill with very friendly people along with the people that work there. I highly recommend the rooftop with drinks and food. The the vibe is great!

I absolutely LOVED this hotel. My sister recommended it to me and told me that it is even cuter than the pictures and she was right. The lobby was so pretty and I just loved its overall vibe. Everyone who worked there was nice, friendly and eager to help. The room was so spacious with so much personality. Cannot recommend the hotel enough!

Stayed here after a wedding in the city. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very nice. The room was gorgeous and such a great getaway. We will definitely be staying here again!

We rented a suite and had our small, private wedding ceremony. The setting was perfect and everyone at the hotel was so kind and helpful! We had dinner at Maple and Pine that night and it was delicious! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and so accommodating! We'll be back for sure!

I will definitely come back. My room was functional. Loved the bathroom and European style shower. Bed comfortable. Style unique. Staff amazingly attentive.

A Five star experience! Everyone from registration, bar, valets, roof top bar etc was excellent. People could not have been nicer or more helpful. Also very cheerful. We were allowed to store our bikes inside The hotel. The quality of the room gives the boutique experience a great value. Absolutely recommend.

I love the lobby. The staff are very helpful as well. The room is quite standard but clean. Its isolation could have been better as you can clearly hear your neighbors.

I have not yet stayed overnight at this brilliant boutique hotel which is undoubtably an RVA staple by now, or at least should be. However, I have eaten dinner here once and it was, hands down, one of the best prepared, paired and presented duck dishes I have had.
I have attended several events and networking meetings here, meeting either on the rooftop patio (best view in RVA) or in a conference room.
Parking is as to be expected but they have valet. The doorfellos are always ready to greet and escort. The cafe and reception staff are always attentive, open and never pretentious. Some of the best local chocolates can be found in their Gallery Gift Shop along with at least a hundred local artists (or are they "creatives") work and wearables. Quirk is most definitely in the top ten landmarks to visit and stay, work and play!

Designed beautifully, the hotel has a great ambiance. Something optimistic that makes you feel good. And you must go straight to the bar and get a Young Victoria cocktail. Seriously, now.

This is the hotel to stay at! My husband and I took a road trip up the East Coast to Connecticut and decided to stay in Richmond, Virginia. After searching online I found the Quirk Hotel! The pictures are true to the experience. The room we stayed in was very spacious and featured two huge windows. My husband mentioned the bed was the most comfortable of our trip. The next morning we had an amazing breakfast at the hotels restaurant where I absolutely enjoyed the french toast! Highly recommend this hotel, can't wait to visit again.

Edit: Let me just say I think it is funny how there are responses from the hotel only on positive reviews. It is the "well who cares we don't need your business" attitude that will in time sink this hole. Original: Was one of the first people to book a room at Quirk. Booked for my birthday so that friends from out of town and I could all get together in this "new hip place. " I booked over the phone and they told me the suites were all taken so I got the next biggest room (or so I thought). I showed up and found out that those larger balcony rooms were under construction (which would have been nice to know ahead of time since I talked to someone on the phone and paid extra for one). Wound up squeezing everyone into a standard room since they had already come in from out of town and we had a lousy time. There was a noisy party in the lobby all night that made us feel uncomfortable as we walked through since the people were staring at us as though we were intruding on the way to the elevator. Great in concept, but snooty wanna be NY hotel in execution.

The cutest and most charismatic hotel I've ever visited. The food is delicious, it's pink, big windows and very homey. This will be my new go to in Richmond.

Stay here! Staff is lovely, decore is brilliant. Bright, airy, fun, just classy enough to feel special but not snobby. Unique art placed appropriately. Amazing windows. Minimal but comfortable.
