Wife and I were looking for a clean simple place just to spend the night after traveling all day.
Room initially seemed clean. After coming back late that night she wanted to take a shower she noticed two disgustingly 🤢 dirty towels thrown over the shower curtain rod between the curtain and the wall. I don't even wanna think about what the last people cleaned with the towels but it looked like they used them instead of toilet paper.
Needless to say we left disgusted without showering
I mentioned the issue upon checking out and the person who was in the lounge area said he'd look into it.
When we got home I called the hotel back and was told to send an email to the front desk and that they would address the issue. I waited two days, sent a follow up email to give them more than enough time to try to do the right thing and as of now I still have not heard back from anyone.
If something that blatant and disgusting is overlooked how good are they really cleaning the room between guests.

My son is on route driving home from Tampa to Mass. I just tried to book a room @BestWestern in Glen Alen VA. They won’t let me book because Phil’s not 21. F-U Best Western. I hope when you go crying to government for your hand out they turn you away like you did my son.

The guy at the front desk felt the need to tell me I was evil, simply because the night before I had just gotten in from florida and a very long drive and wasn't interested in hearing about the membership rewards, I told him " no offense, I'm just really ready to check in and get to the room" he finally gave us keys after a 10 min check in process and the next morning at check out, I gave a polite smile and he decided to mention " I'm glad you're smiling because last night you were pure evil. " it around 12am when we checked in, my husband and I were very tired and I was smiling and being polite during the whole check in just didn't want to hear about the rewards I'm already getting. Even if you think a customer is being "evil" you don't tell them, it's in bad taste.

They like locking patrons out of the hotel while the hotel is left unattended (Room key doesn’t work) then tell you it’s your fault.

The employer at the front desk was so pleasant when I made the reservations. We were also pleased with check in service. The king rooms are awesome. Our guests are super pleased.

Jacuzzi room was nice, beds were a little firmer than I like but still comfortable. Carol was very nice and helpful when we checked in gave use extra towels. Would deffinately recommend to anyone who travels this way.

The breakfast was good and the employee was very attentive. The room was very humid and had a funny smell. The AC did not work very well at all. The room also had a couple lights out. Front desk girl was very overwhelmed. For the price I would definitely not recommend this place.

Horrible experience! The rooms have an absolute disgusting musky mold like smell you can barely breathe. This is in addition to the unwelcoming front desk clerk (gentleman) about 1 am Tuesday! He was So rude it was sad to watch! I had to make last minute reservation to get rest on family road trip and figured this place would be ok for a few hours based on prior reviews and reasonable price! Not at all, total regret place is filthy disgusting. Will not stay here ever again nor do I recommend anyone else too. FROM THE moment you get off elevator the smell is horrible and room is even worse! Not kidding nor exaggerating I complained and the gentleman response was maybe the cleaning people didn’t spray? Spray what… how about clean the old dusty smelly rugs. In addition the linens were damp! Yes damp wet as of the cleaning crew did not dry the sheets fully which of course added to rotten room odor. Honestly Save yourself the bad experience and spend more money at decent hotel! Couldn’t be refunded since I booked through 3rd party last minute! Shame on Best western! Not sure why they call it Plus! Plus what, bad odor and customer service?

It's is neat, but the fan in the bathroom was not working, no one came to fix it to we left. I believe there is suppose to be an on call handy man to give good customer's satisfaction.

Stayed here for a quick overnight while traveling from New England to a family reunion in North Carolina. All the basics we would expect were found here with no problem. We felt we got good value for the price we paid and our expectations for an overnight stay. The room had been redecorated recently and the bed was comfortable.

The front desk clerk had the nastiest attitude checking us in.
The sofa bed was full of dog hair, we had a room on the 2nd floor and was told the 1st floor was pet floors the carpet in the hallway smelled horrible … Went out to eat and when we got back there 2 rooms on our hall that had their doors open and it smelled like marijuana the the whole hallway smelled like it so my sister and husband stuffed towels under the door so they couldn't smell it the police was called on them and came banging on the door accusing them of smoking in the room and questioned my 16 y. O niece if she had been smoking in the room, the police also stated that they knocked on everyone's door no one came to my room or my other sisters room Not to long after that a lil after midnight we where awoke from the fire alarm going off and we had to stand outside for over 30 minutes in the rain with our kids ages ranging from 3-16 it was chilly outside below 60° last night at that. The fire fighters informed us that the alarm was going off from the 3rd floor and that the workers from the hotel had did something in the boiler room and cut the valve off and had water from the 1-3 floor and that the alarm would continuously go off and they should not have turned it off when the fire fighter asked why they had it off no one could answer the question and he let him know it was a hazard.

Lovely hotel with a great breakfast bar. Rooms are very nice and roomy. Front desk matched the online price over the phone. My only complaint is the pool was not open. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a good night at this hotel. Reaching it from I 95 was easy. We were able to walk to dinner. The continental breakfast was good.

Very clean. Nice large room with full size refrigerator. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good and the tables were kept clean and buffet was kept filled with fresh food. Only complaint is that we booked this hotel for the outdoor pool and were not told until we checked in that there was a problem and the pool wouldn’t be open.

The room was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi, parking, and breakfast. It was a little strange that when we arrived they did not have key cards available. The hostess has to let us into our room, but the issue was quickly resolved.

I am a Diamond select member for Best Western I travel around the U. S working and I have stayed in my fair share of hotels and this one is by fare the worst one for service I have ever stayed at. I do not recommend going to this hotel. My beds was not comfortable at all and the morning service for breakfast is the worst I went down and seen that it was ready and I got some cereal and then got yelled at by the Employee so I will not be coming back to this hotel again. You shouldn't have to be yelled at for any reason at any hotel you stay at.

Staff was nice. Room was nice, clean & had everything you would expect like a fridge, microwave & a flat screen tv. It did not have a view nor was the pool "open". That was a big let-down. Also, breakfast had "egg patties" which did not look real.

Overall really good facility, great staff, good rooms and value. Only complaint is the lower quality windows allow too much highway noise into the room so if you aren’t an early riser, you probably need to use ear plugs to dampen it. Was great having the big shopping area right across I-81, lots of choices to eat and shop.

Cozy place, and clean. There is a good breakfast served here in the morning until 9:30 AM. It is a secure place. They have vending machines. No dining place here. Good location and there is free parking for paying customers. Good Free Wi-Fi. Rooms have a refrigerator a microwave and a desk.

Would never stay at this hotel or recommend it to anyone. I complained about the smell in room 108 and asked for a new room if one was available. I was told no, even though rooms were available. My second night, my room was never cleaned, bed made, or clean towels left. Most likely because I complained.
Terrible service!

This Best Western is a nice clean motel. It appears to have been recently remodeled. The staff is friendly and their customer service went above and beyond. However, this is a Best Western trapped between being a standard Best Western and Best Western Plus. It is missing some of the elements of a Best Western plus. The breakfast is very basic. Except for the waffle maker… which you don't usually find at a basic Best Western. The amenities of the facility are also quite basic. More of a fitness closet than a fitness room. You are not really getting the "Plus" you are paying for. You are paying "Plus" prices for a very nice standard Best Western.

We love stopping here on our way to Florida. Staff is always so nice. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Great location off I-95. Nice staff, good breakfast. Rate was excellent with a AAA discount.

Staff was rude. Two towels for three people and at first, they could not give us another one. If we wanted one, we could go pick it up at the desk because the two maids and one front desk employee were all too busy. Maids were knocking on doors at 7:30am to clean rooms. If they said the room was occupied, they did not get their rooms cleaned and claimed that they were told we did not want them cleaned. So, no clean towels for the next day either. Emergency exit was broken. Shower head and toilet, also broken. We book around 15 rooms every month for travel. We will not be back at any BW.

Room and bathroom were clean and the breakfast area was neat and well stocked. Employees were all very nice.

Handicapped room was one of the better ones for a hotel that I've stayed in. I'm in a wheelchair and the room met my expectations. Bathroom had plenty of room and bars. Only challenge was the shower. While it was completely handicapped set up it was in a tub. There was a fold down seat. Transfer was challenging as was getting over the tub sides. What's a trip without a challenge. Otherwise all was OK. The room came with a sink, stove (not operative), refrigerator and microwave. All was easily within reach and accesaable. It's a bit tricky opening the door to leave the room and may pose a problem for folks that have upper mobility limitations. The morning breakfast was completely accessable from my wheelchair and the tables posed no problems. Our room was on the first floor thus I did not have to negotiate the elevator. I suggest if you stay at this location that you use the front doors because they open automatically as you approach.

The price attracted me to the hotel because of all the amenities it boasted. However, I don’t recommend this hotel. The room cleanliness left something to be desired and the fitness center was broken and unusable.

Hotel was clean and has friendly staff. I enjoyed the free hot breakfast. My only complaint was that the hot water temperature fluctuated up and down.

Never go here! Immediately upon entering the room, noticed stained and dirty bedding covered with body hair. When I complained and the maid arrived to change the sheets, she argued with me claiming they were clean before calling me a PENDEJA before relenting and changing bedding. At breakfast the next morning, the male attendant yelled at me across the dining area when I had trouble with their waffle iron instead of walking up to me and showing me how operate it. Had noisy young neighbors under the age of 18 that were next door to us screaming and yelling all hours of the night. When we finally called the front desk at 10:45 PM to complain, they suggested we call the room and speak to the occupants (these minors) ourselves!? After we left, I noticed that my ring was left in the room and not on my hand, which is entirely my fault. Called the front desk and the woman who answered said she would contact the maid and ask about it and put me on hold. Of course, the maid claimed she never had seen it as it was the very same maid who called me that racial slur and did not want to change our dirty stained sheets from the first day we arrived. Lady at front desk said that the maid didn't find it and that was that. worst hotel experience ever. Do not come here unless you want dirty rooms with lazy lying maids who steal your property to take care of you. Absolutely zero customer service or professionalism. None. Will not come back and I encourage others to not use this hotel as well.

Great service. Very comfortable beds. Close and convenient to major thoroughfares. Breakfast was good.

This was a very comfortable hotel. Good restaurants within short drive. Easy on/off of major highway.

Adequate accommodations at a great price. Nice clean hotel with a very nice breakfast offering and comfortable bed. Clean room with all the normal amenities. Not enough towels or pillows are offered and the front desk staff were abrupt and not very friendly.

The facility was nice and the room was spacious. The dining area for continental breakfast was very clean and there was a nice variety of food. The only negative was that when we returned to our room after being gone all day (12hrs), our room was not cleaned. The only thing was done was clean towels were dropped off. I reported this to the front desk and was told they only had 1 housekeeper that day. I received an apology but that is all.

Perfectly lovely accommodation. Very dog-friendly with a large room, good grassy area for dog walking and outdoor pool. A bench for smokers would be nice.

Just for future reference, if somebody is talking to you business like on the phone, and they say, thank you at the end of the conversation. You don't hang up and not say YOU ARE WELCOME. Yhis is general knowledge learned in 6th grade.

Sadly, room stunk of stale smoke and musty mold. Got headache. No towels in room. Dirty shower. Couldn't switch rooms until next morning. Fresher smelling but again lacked adequate towels. Breakfast was decent. Staff tried to accommodate.

The room is huge which is great. The full kitchen would be a lot more useful if any dishes or cookware were provided. Pool is nice but in an area that gets a lot of shade so it's cold, even in August. Breakfast is okay but nothing special. For the price, this is a decent hotel and I really do appreciate the size of the room.

I found the room and bathroom clean, friendly staff except for the woman when checking out. I was a little skeptical about booking another Best Western after having stayed in one in Myrtle Beach last December. There I had to have someone clean the bathroom when checking in as it was dirty and the room I booked on the phone was different than the one I got. But the Glen Allen Best Western was absolutely a complete opposite and enjoyed my stay. I would recommend Best Western Plus in Glen Allen.

Very comfortable stay with our pet. There was not a great place to walk our dog and the area in the back needs to have some enforcement so that pet owners clean up after their dogs. The room was large and very clean. The breakfast was average hotel breakfast but had plenty of choices. The staff was amazingly accommodating. We would stay again.

Our family of 5 (husband, myself, children ages 6, 4, and 1) arrived late at night after several hours cooped up in the car. We had a reservation and the website says that children under 12 stay for free… this is not the case. We were told that we could not stay in the same room together because it exceeds their occupancy for the double queen size beds room. We were told that we would have to leave because they were booked up and did not have a second room for us to rent, even though it would have been ludicrous for us to have to rent 2 rooms just because the baby counts as an adult. We travel often and have never had this issue with any other hotel EVER. So late at night we had to scramble to find another hotel that was more than glad to accommodate.

Decent hotel, rooms have fridges, microwaves and acceptable Wi-Fi. There's a motel style self serve breakfast available.

Great hotel! I had an issue with my room that was promptly dealt with. The light switch broke and he moved me to another room no questions asked except how the new room was when I saw him later in the evening. The bed was a little stiff though. The room was clean and inviting. The breakfast was good as well. All the staff were very nice and easy to deal with. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Stay over" rooms are not cleaned regularly. The printer in the business center does not have toner. The washing machine is broken. The weight machine and bike machine is broken. The morning server does a great job with food service. The am clerk is greets and makes conversation over breakfast. I don't know why this hotel has such great reviews.

I enjoyed my stay. Gentleman at the desk was very nice… The room was clean and neat. Breakfast was okay as well.

At the entrance it felt cozy, it was a good stay just for a quick 1 day recharge. The breakfast was good, it had a little bit of everything. It is close to a lot of fast foods, restaurants and supermarkets.

I travel for business and anytime we are in town we stay here. The staff are friendly, the rooms are always clean. I recommend this hotel!

Have stayed at BW Plus's before, in other locations with good experiences. This place is the pits. I could hardly wait to check out. I needed an overnight stay. Most everything is dirty, stained, or broken. Sheets appeared clean but the toilet was not. I understand this is independently owned, rather than franchised. Breakfast was just okay. Do Not Recommend.

Clean, friendly, comfortable. Smaller but cozy room (our choice). Wonderful clean scent in rooms and hallways. Will definitely be staying here again.

I recently used hotwire to book a trip to Glen Allen Virginia for Friday June 20th through, Tuesday June 24th. After selecting a 3 star hotel I was booked at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Glen Allen Inn. On the day of the trip June 20th, I called the hotel at 2pm to confirm my reservation and to notify them that I would not be arriving until 2AM. They said that was fine and that my room would be ready. Upon arrival I found that they had no rooms available and was placed in a dirty smoking room. This is completely unacceptable as my family was unable to sleep due to the smell and all of our belongings were saturated with smell of ashes. On the morning of June 21st, they were able to switch us to another clean room, although we were unable to get any clean towels. We later found out that the hotel does not have enough clean towels to stock each room and that only the first rooms cleaned every day get towels! On our 3rd day (June 22nd) we were finally able to get clean towels after making friends with a maid. We then found out that there was not enough water pressure during the day to work the shower. After staying at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Glen Allen Inn for 3 days were were unable to take a shower at any time. Finally on our 4th day (June 23rd) we were able to take a shower. When attempting to report our shower issues at the front desk the woman would not acknowledge our questions and was annoyed that we had disturbed her while she was playing a game on her phone.

Really nice on the inside, the lobby and rooms are nice. Nice big flat screen and a comfy bed with a lot of pillows, what more could you want.

Stayed here and everything was nice except the blow dryer didn't work. Then, since I've left I have been charged an additionally twice without getting refunded even though I paid before my stay. Good luck getting hold of a manager. DO NOT STAY here unless you have an extra couple hundred dollars that you can spare floating around. It's been 2 weeks and still waiting on a refund.

I just tried to inquire about renting a meeting space at this hotel and the woman I spoke to couldn't be bothered to help me, only giving me her manager's email address after I asked for it. I tried to email her manager, but the email address was invalid. I called back again and asked to be put into her manager's voicemail, but the manager's mailbox was full. I will be taking my business elsewhere, as this Best Western cannot be bothered for business.

The rooms are extremely clean and new looking. There are large flat screens, microwave and fridge for each room! The bed was comfortable and clean. The service was great and timely. It was mostly quite except when we had teenagers next door making noises by the door that separated the rooms. Other then that it was a great stay.
