We absolutely love staying at Candlewood Suites. This is the second time we’ve stayed with this brand and this location definitely set a new standard for us! What an excellent hospitality company. We were blown away by the space. The beds we’re fantastic. And sometimes it’s definitely the little things. For instance, the toiletries, the extra desks, and kitchenette were all absolutely wonderful. We felt like we were home for sure and would highly recommend for business, extended stays, or for leisure. We were very impressed.

This hotel was big and comfortable. Definitely a home away from home. The kitchen and living area was nice and the beds were so comfortable.

This place kills it on amenities! There’s a large cabinet of blenders, coffee makers and various kitchen ware available to use in your room. The bed was very comfortable and I like how the kitchen is separate from the bedroom area. Makes it feel more like a real home. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and would come back for sure.

I was here for a week for work. Not once was my room cleaned or trash even taken away. A couple nights I heard people having sex and every night heard a dog barking. The one day I leave my service dog there alone for 2 hours in the early evening he apparently barked (he never has in the past so I find it hard to believe) the front desk locked me out of my room to give me a stern warning with expletives included. He stated that 2 "long-term guests" complained. Why does that matter at all? When I brought up everything stated above his response was that's not the issue here. I will never go back and I suggest you don't go either.

Really great hotel. This is my third time in two years and this hotel and it honestly keeps getting better and better. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly guy at the front desk named Austin. I had a reservation and he had it really to go, making my check in quick and easy. He then told me that they offer free laundry service, meaning I could just wash my clothes right there for free. It’s too bad this place was my first stop and not my last or that would’ve really come in handy. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable. With a full kitchen, full living room, separate bedroom and a bathroom. The king bed really set it off. I got a great nights sleep. I was on a long road trip and honestly the Candlewood Suites set the bar too high, no other hotel on my trip lived up to this one. Also there was separate a/c settings for both the bedroom and the rest of the hotel, that’s a big help to me. This place was really great. I slept too late for breakfast so I’m not sure what that’s like, but if you miss it there is a Denny’s right outside and the hotel itself is only 10-15 minutes away from everything Richmond has to offer. This is my go to hotel for Richmond.

I love the Candlewood Suites brand in general; if you stay with them you’re set up for one day or one year in reference to the full kitchen gear, cutlery, pots and pans, etc. I’ve stayed at Candlewoods all over the country in the last few years; always awesome with the free washer/dryer situation and such. This Candlewood location sets the bar higher than what I generally see. First of all I love the design of this one; probably the largest with most floors out there. Property is in amazing shape; I would have thought it was brand new but I knew better as I stayed here about a year ago. This version is super modern and updated; awesome lobby and furniture. The appliances in the room were much newer than you generally see in this brand. TV above average size and age too for a Candlewood. Another thing privy to this particular location are the premium JR Watkins shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Also this is the only CS I’ve seen that you can buy beer and wine are in the lobby. If you dig the Candlewood brand (which I do) come see what the next-level version is like. A+

Extremely friendly and attentive staff — — easy and quick check-in, and when I called down because our TV remote didn't work, the front desk attendant was at our room within one minute to give us new batteries. The room was spacious, with a separate living room and bedroom for extra privacy. The bed was enormous and super comfortable. The bathroom was huge, with a brand new shower with amazing water pressure and very nice toiletries. Convenient location with lots of easy parking and coffee available in the lobby at all hours. We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it very much.

Spending a great deal of time traveling for our cross country World Cup Comedy Tour; we were near exhaustion heading into the Candlewood Suites in Richmond. (In fact we had an all nighter coming in from Portland) The thought of checking in and dealing with the usual madness of a new hotel was the last thing we desired. Luckily we didn't have to! We checked in with total ease and the staff couldn't have been nicer :) Plenty of parking was available; and there was a Denny's next door that made for anytime snacking very easy ;). Once we got to the rooms; they were very nice. Open and Airy; yet easily able to close and turn into the caves we desired to get some shut eye before the evenings 's show at the Richmond Funny Bone. The room was clean ; and had that whole extended stay feel (like a home away from home :). The surroundings are suburban; yet a hop skip & jump from downtown which is a really cool "up and coming" hipstery type area with some incredible restaurants especially Pops on Broad! The business area was awesome ; as the Wi-Fi never went out. Being on tour ; means a lot of work on the computer dealing with bookings; promotion and customer service. Not easy when there's not comfortable place to do it and your compatriots are still sleeping :P. Finally ; the area was ridiculously safe; which was important; as we stowed thousands of dollars in merchandise in the car.

The remodeled rooms are nice. Water pressure in the shower was very low. On my 3rd and final night I went to do some laundry at the facility to discover there was only 1 washing machine functional (2 others with out of order signs) and 2 baskets of dirty clothes lined up on the counter. This was a significant inconvenience given I was traveling for business and needed my laundry for the next day. There were no laundromats open at 9pm nearby. I asked the man at the front desk if there were any other washing machines in the hotel and he replied NO.

Got upgraded to a suite. Huge rooms, comfortable king size bed, and a bathroom you could do donuts with a Mini Cooper in. Friendly and accommodating staff. One of our best hotel stays. Definitely staying here again.

EDIT: I came back in 2018 and everything stayed the same — which was great news to me! My love for Richmond Virginia is real. My appreciation for the Candlewood Suites in Richmond is even realer. I enjoyed the daily greetings and goodnights from the front desk staff, the parking lot was easy to navigate, we were close to the highway, and the rooms were bigger than I thought + comfortable. Stay here, y'all.

This was my second time at Candlewood Suites in Richmond and was certainly what I needed after a long drive from Philadelphia and even longer night in Richmond. The hospitality was spot on and front desk was extremely kind and courteous upon my late check in. The room was amazing, including a full kitchen with all the amenities, full living room and separate master bedroom. Even with the hotel being very busy this night they had ample parking and there were zero disruptions. It's an extremely quite hotel! The location offered many nice places to and dine and check out. Housekeeping were very courteous and provided extra towels and recommendations on where the best dry cleaning in town were. I'll certainly be back again and until then I'll be very much looking forward to it!

It was a wonderful experience staying at Candlewood Suites! The rooms were spacious and suite-style with kitchen amenities and a separate bedroom. I was only there for a short spell but the rooms would be great for long-term stays. If you want to save a bit of money and energy by cooking, you can do that, but the hotel is conveniently located close to several shops and eateries if you want to go out on any given night. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a marble countertop and a glass sliding-door shower. The gym was a standout feature. Where most hotel gyms are cramped and feel like afterthoughts, Candlewood had a dedicated facility. The front desk deserves a special mention for helping me track down some olive oil when I needed to cook and had forgotten to pick up oil. Thanks guys!

This hotel is top 5 the best we have ever stayed in and we are in hotels 300 plus days a year. Great location and the bed is like sleeping on a marshmallow. Highly recommend.

I love this Candlewood Suites! The hotel is gigantic, and so are the rooms. This is great if you’re sharing a room with someone. The rooms also come with a stove top, and have some cabinets full of mugs and cups. Also, the showers are really big, and the bathroom is really nice and roomy as well. You’re definitely not lacking space in these suites! The hotel staff is very friendly and more than helpful. There was also a nice gym area near the front lobby. In addition, there is plenty of parking around the hotel, which is always a nice thing to have at a hotel this big. Five stars!

This is a really solid Candlewood Suites. The staff is great and showed me nothing but southern hospitality. The laundry was fantastic, as I was in desperate need to get my clothes cleaned. Rooms are modern and laid out really well. The touch of free popcorn was really cool. Located near a ton of food and only a few minutes from Downtown Richmond. Overall a great stay and I would happily recommend this Candlewood to anyone.

Candlewood Suites is one of my favorite places to stay these days because they are consistent with their service and upkeep. The West Broad location in Richmond, VA is a great example of their consistency. Check in was easy and the front desk guy was super nice. I was impressed with the room, it was a good size and decorated nicely (I would put the backsplash in their kitchenette in my house! ). The lobby has coffee 24/7 and a pantry for snacks on the honor system where you can leave change or fill out a form to charge to your room. There aren’t any gas stations or convenience stores in walking distance, so you don’t have to go far if you need snacks. Other than that, it’s easily accessible to the highway and with a quick car ride you’re near some fast food restaurants and other retail establishments in the area. Like I said Candlewood is one of my favorite places, so I would stay again at this location.

This hotel is amazing! Our room was gigantic, and had a kitchen with a stovetop and a cabinet full of clean cups and mugs. The bathrooms had a lot of room as well, and were extremely clean. Everyone at the front desk was super nice, polite, and very helpful. We had an absolutely pleasant experience at Candlewood Suites. Location was convenient for our needs but not walking distance to any places of interest. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The access to the hotel and traffic were both easy to deal with, not stressful. The lobby and the room had everything needed for a suites environment. On the negative side, they need to check that there alarm clock is not set for the next guest, a 5 am alarm is not easy to figure out how to turn off.

This hotel is wonderful! The room is immaculate, quiet, and comfortable! Fantastic suite with great staff. I just wish it had a pool and hot tub! Or at least a soaker tub! Still a 9/10!

I was promoted and had to relocate to Richmond at a short notice. I stayed her for nearly 4 months Monday-Thursday until I found a place to stay in Richmond (I'm hella picky)! It's never fun living out of an overnight bag and watching hotel cable. But my stay here was great. Darius and Lucas were great at every check in, it was like a red carpet being rolled out each time, great energy and dope, excellent customer service and always good suggestions of where I could find dinner! My bottle of wine was always there for me :) After such a long period of time in hotels I am not looking forward to being in a hotel any time soon, but when the time comes it's Candlewood Suites all the way!

This is a good value for a nice room. They are suites with a living room and small kitchen. Everything was clean and modern. They feature an outdoor grilling area and just about anything that you could need. From snacks and drinks to appliances and games. Everything is based on the honor system and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Very comfortable place to stay.

Stayed at this location for 10 days, was clean and comfortable. Free washer and dryer on site. Pet friendly, kids loved hot chocolate in the mornings. Was basically a mini apartment for a reasonable price. Will surely be repeat customers when we are back in town.

Clean. Smells good. Newly renovated hotel. Has a full kitchen with utensils and pans for cooking. Large refrigerator. Full laundry service that is free. Free coffee 24 hours. Quiet. Close to restaurants. Booked a room for my mother while she was visiting and she really loved the hotel.

Free coffee in the lobby all day. Nice small kitchen. Room seemed to have a strange smell; possibly from the heater/AC. Very affordable, close to a few breweries and food spots.

Spent a single night to escape a power outage. From the friendly and accommodating staff to the spacious, clean and comfortable suite, the entire experience was top notch.

Was very nice hotel and decent size suite. I liked that I had a room at the end of the hall and there was another elevator too. Would have had 5 stars if they served breakfast!

Really nice and spacious rooms. I enjoyed it greatly. Didn't get to use any of the amenities due to me barely being there, but I'm sure there were just fine.

Beautiful property seems to be relatively new. All of the employees were amazing, especially the daytime manager. My smoke alarm was chirping and he was up there within seconds to fix it himself within seconds. The coffee in the lobby was perfect and they also had a fully loaded pantry based on an honor system with every snack imaginable. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was brilliantly maintained. I would definately stay here again, especially for business travels.

This hotel is fantastic for the price! Love that the rooms have full kitchens and that they're pet friendly! Wish they offered continental breakfast… at least some cold breakfast options. I know this looses business for them. There was an elevator at the end of the hall in addition to the main elevator that was for guest use that looked more like a service elevator. It was awful and I wouldn't take it or the stairs for safety reasons — poor lighting and secluded. Overall, though, I very much enjoyed the stay!

Very very nice rooms! The suites are very spacious and very nice for spending a tolerable amount on a room. I wouldn't say the location is spectacular, but it's definitely not the worst location. You've got a Denney's close by and a bowling alley, but not too much else. With transportaton, though, that easily solves the problem. Overall great place to stay.

I only had a few hours to enjoy this hotel, but in my those hours I definitely decided I will be back. This hotel has some of the friendliest staff, most spacious rooms, and modern decor. I checked in late and the older gentleman at the front desk could tell I needed rest. Check in was fast and easy. He explained a few perks of the hotel and I was on my way. Upon walking into the room I was taken back by the size. The hotel was larger than my apartment. Everything seemed so clean and new. The shower was refreshing and plenty of hot water and pressure. The bed and bedding helped me get to sleep quickly and everything was so quiet. I slept well, made some coffee and headed out. It was really bittersweet to have such a nice hotel and not be able to stay longer. Thanks for the pit stop and I can't wait to return.

The rooms are nice and much larger than I was expecting. Both the living room and bedroom have TV's, there are multiple desks to work at, and the kitchen is basic but nice and has all the essentials you need to make most meals. The fridge also has an ice maker which I appreciate. The beds are a bit on the harder side but still comfy. My only complaints are the slow Wi-Fi speed (with no option to upgrade for an additional cost) and the shower doesn't get as hot as I'd like, but overall this has everything you could want to be comfortable on longer trips. Not a lot in the immediate area, but there are a few grocery stores very close by car and you can reach downtown by car in like 15-20 minutes.

Newly built and renovated. Rooms are super clean, beds are comfy and clean. Water pressure is not very good but that's probably the only negative feature. Great hotel with an even better staff, all the employees are amazing here. This location will be my first choice anytime I need a suite for a few days or few weeks. **Pet Friendly.

Our room was very clean. We were in town to see a show at the theater, and it was great to relax there at the end of a long day. We ended up cooking dinner in our suite to save money, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make a meal. Overall experience was pretty good.

I needed to just get some alone time but stay in my hometown. I booked a stay at Candlewood Suites Richmond-West Broad and how impressed I am. This will be my go to place for now on. The suite is super clean as well as spacious. I am glade I made this choice. I am considering extending my stay for a few more days. Oh and the handsome young man at the front desk was very professional and pleasant. Great customer approach as well as service.
