Such a wonderful place! Marty is a rockstar! We were treated like family the second we stepped on the porch till we sadly had to depart. The accommodations, conversations, the journey back in time was just priceless. Please make sure you give yourself the time to take in all 28 acres. Just a gem of a place! We really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back again! Marty was so kind and accommodating. I unfortunately, did not get to meet his wife. But her breakfast bread was amazing!

This Inn is the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway! It is located in the adorable town of Orange and is surrounded by VA wine country. Marty and his wife were the sweetest, most gracious hosts who went out of their way to help my boyfriend and I plan our weekend. Marty made us reservations at a delicious local restaurant and gave us recommendations for activities to do during the day. On Saturday, Marty drove us around to multiple different vineyards for wine tastings so we didn't have to worry about scheduling a shuttle service, it was so convenient! It was like our own private wine tour! There were always fresh brownies in the entry area and the breakfast was so delicious. I highly recommend staying here for a cozy weekend away!

A cozy B&B that is perfect for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or even a beautiful wedding. Local to town, but on almost 30 acres of land with plenty of walking trails and a large fishing pond. They are also dog friendly, which can be extremely hard to find. Its a beautiful Inn and I can't wait to return for another trip!

Marty & Victoria are wonderful hosts. Their home is an 1891 farmhouse with lots of charm. The breakfasts were delicious!

Excellent lodging… clean, a/c works, comfortable & great breakfast. Staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. Marty is a great guy. In fact he gave us a ride to the wedding we were attending in Orange… Fully recommend.

Delightful Bed and Breakfast — like walking back in time. Kind of missed having a TV in our room, but in the end it was fine. Also, stairs were a little hard for Jim. Breakfast was AMAZING — worth the trip just for that! Was glad that I accidentally came across it.

The owners of Poplar Hill Inn are fabulous people. The breakfast they provided was delicious and plated with care. The house is surrounded by lovely grounds and has wooded walking trails immediately accessible. I will definitely be staying here again whenever I am in the area.

Six years ago my husband and I were married in a private ceremony at the Inn on Poplar Hill and it was a lovely experience. Victoria and Marty were accommodating to our vegetarian diet and they know the perfect balance between being friendly, socialable and helpful and letting you enjoy some privacy during your stay. This year we went back with our infant daughter to celebrate our anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised when Marty and Victoria had upgraded us to the room we stayed in the weekend that we were married. Once again we were impressed by their helpfulness and kindness. The grounds and landscaping are beautiful, it is in a convenient location and the food is EXCEPTIONAL! If we could go there just to enjoy breakfast, we would. We will certainly be back to celebrate more anniversaries in the future!

Innkeepers are sweet and knowledgeable! They were certainly accommodating of food allergies and had gluten free cookies and brownies available during our stay. The breakfast was delicious and they were not sticklers for what time you wanted to eat. The wine tour included was nice. Having a designated driver for the afternoon was certainly appreciated. These guys don't mind customizing your experience so don't hesitate to ask for anything! Will definitely visit again!

The location was easy to get to, within walking g distance of resteruant. The service was first rate, great breakfast and gluten free brownies. The room was beautiful and got really dark at night great for sleeping. The gardens were nicely kept with walking grounds. There was a game room separate from the house so you could be louder Into the evening. Only two thing not perfect we were on the bottom room so I. The morning we heard every noise, every conversation in the dinning room, and people above moving around sounded like people jumping about and it was freezing in the room very little insulation. Another blanket could fix the cold problem but if you are not an early morning riser you should get My upstairs bedroom.

Best place ever to have an intimate amazing wedding! My daughter lives 2 hours away & chose this beautiful Inn& setting for a seamless wonderful wedding weekend. We all came from far away & accommodations were perfect. Marty & Victoria are amazing hosts with talent (Victoria made the delicious beautiful wedding cake & all the food! ) & took care of everything to make the day & celebration meaningful & memorable. My husband and I got married last weekend in Ohio and decided to stay at the Inn on Poplar Hill for a mini honeymoon before returning to Washington, DC. Marty and Victoria were extremely accommodating and warmly greeted us even when we arrived two hours past the check-in time. We woke up to coffee outside our door and were blown away by the breakfasts we were served (Victoria is one heck of a cook)! Before Marty drove us to three different wineries, we walked our dog around the property, which was absolutely gorgeous. They made dinner reservations for us at a local Peruvian restaurant, which was delicious! It was a relaxing stay and we did not want to leave! Highly recommend the Inn on Poplar Hill!

We stayed at the Inn as a part of my husband's 40th birthday celebration. Marty and Victoria went out of their way to help me make the weekend memorable and fun. I had planned a hot air balloon ride, but the weather did not cooperate. Thank goodness Victoria booked us a romantic and delectable dinner at Vintage, and Marty provided us with a free wine tasting pass for a nearby vineyard. The room was beautifully appointed and the bed was very comfortable. It was lovely to wake up and find coffee outside our door waiting for us in the morning! Breakfast was delicious, and we loved chatting with Marty and Victoria about everything from family to fixing up the Inn. They encouraged us to tour Montpelier after we checked out Sunday morning, which we did, and we are so glad they recommended it! We will definitely be visiting again, next time for a longer stay!

Best place I have ever been to. There is nothing quite like staying at this inn with Marty, Victoria, and their wonderful Grand daughter. They are all very lovely people with delicious food and a wonderful wine tour.

We stayed here in March and it was wonderful! Each day we had coffee waiting by our door and an amazing breakfast. I was even treated to gluten free treats daily. The wine tour was great also.

Beautiful place for a romantic weekend. I love that they allow dogs, it's hard finding any lodging with a pet, let alone a gorgeous b&b! My dog loved their many trails and fields to walk/run along. And the owners were amazing. Victoria is an outstanding cook, who whips up the most unique and delicious breakfasts! Marty is one of the most friendly people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. I can't wait to go back again!

Had a very nice one-night stay at the Inn. The room was comfortable, food was rich, and the Innkeeper was a great host. Walking distance to Main Street Orange and nature lovers will want to spend all day exploring the private trails, pond, and picnic areas on the property.
