I loved the soft shell crab meal! I was disappointed they didn’t have the crab cakes tonight but I was very pleased with my meal! My husband liked the shrimp and grits!
Many recommended this restaurant and I can see why it is a must do!
Ordering homemade ice cream for dessert!
I am sure it is as wonderful as everyone recommends!

Everything is better at the Charlotte, crab cakes are the best ever eaten, wonderful people! definitely a must visit.

We absolutely love it here. Our room is perfect, Glenn loved the shower and our dinner was delicious. And dessert scrumptious with homemade ice cream and chocolate flourless cake. Of course the service was exceptional!
I think we are going to make this annual trip!

Our dinner was lovely and since we didn't order dessert, they brought out 2 sweet morsels and a "Happy Anniversary" banner that was stuck into a cute little apple. Clever, and thoughtful!

Excellent food, Service lacking, coffee refilled half full, promised more but never came, one of party got no refill, called for reservation for 5 at 5:30, 3 days previous to dinner date, table not ready, staff seemed clueless when we arrived. Do not think we will return or recommend. To others.

Went here for a dinner date, the restaurant is small and very nice inside. Gives an ambience perfect for a romantic date. Food was fine, nothing exceptional to write home about. Service was good.

I love this place! A quiet, quaint hotel in the middle of historic Onancok. Gary and Charlotte are the gracious hosts/owners and they couldn't be nicer. The rooms are nice and unique with the amenities you find at other hotels. Breakfast is included… and it's cooked to order. For me, this is the only place to stay when visiting or on business.

Staying at this hotel was a pleasure. The room (and the common areas, too) was amazingly clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was included in the room rate, and the quality was high and the food was very tasty. We enjoyed our interaction with Charlotte and Gary, and they did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. The entire experience was restful and relaxing. I can't say anything negative about the place. In fact, we want to return to the area for additional activities, and there is no doubt this is where we will want to stay.

What a find! The owners, Gary and Charlotte were wonderful! We came to run a half marathon and needed an extended checkout time. Gary graciously accommodated us with this request. Our room was perfect, neat, clean, charming and had memory foam mattress. We slept like babies. A substantial wine list in the restaurant made us grin. The food was delicious. I suggest trying the "flourless" chocolate cake and the creme brulee as well. This is a real find and worth every cent!

Enjoyed a sweet, one-night stay at this lovely hotel. Staff & owners were very kind & accommodating. Room was adorable as is the entire town of Onancock. Wish I could have stayed longer. I look forward to returning & staying at The Charlotte again. Loved it!

Not impressed. Very limited menu. Service okay, but not great. Expected more for the $$$.

Thankfully I found The Charlotte, I'm from NC and I had to work in Accomac Va 2 weeks. Wonderful owners, love the beds, delicious restrauant.

The Restaurant had been our "go to" place for special celebrations for the last several years. The food and service were always GREAT! Unfortunately, when we went last July with a party of 7, we were all very disappointed! The service was slow and several of us received the wrong sides. In fairness, we think the waitress was new… so that we could overlook! However, three entrees were served barely lukewarm and beer was served just above room temperature. We gently brought these problems to the waitress's attention … she offered a quick nonchalant apology and nothing more. Inasmuch as we have had many wonderful meals at the Charlotte Hotel we will give it another try in the near future … everyone is entitled to one oops!

As we live on the shore and have walked by several times … I can say my love said let's stay at the Charlottee. Really babe. He said yes always wanted to go in. I must say we loved it. Gary was very nice! The room was great and very clean. Bathroom was cute. Shower was love. A nice walk around town than to come back in to a hot cup of delicious coffee. Breakfast was great! Server was nice. I can't wait to go back. Spend local.

Absolutely fabulous! Food is amazing. Staff was friendly and professional at the same time. We ate in the casual room which was sooo cozy and comfortable. Took a glance at the other side which was exquisite. We will definitely be back we are locals and this was truly a treasure to find. Our new favorite place and quite reasonable too. Believe me you will not be disappointed!
