The staff is so friendly, especially at the front desk. The room is beautiful, and the bathroom is too.

Recently our client Jon Stickely stayed here after a performance nearby, and loved it! The staff was amazing and friendly at check-in and the room was incredible. There is a restaurant on the property, and an exercise room to use to get the blood pumping before checking out! If you're in the area, we highly recommend this hotel!

I definitely recommend this hotel. Very clean, efficient service, nice layout. Also it was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on in so long! I got in just in time to have a drink at the bar downstairs, which was lovely, a snack from the gift shop, and then a restful sleep. Couldn’t ask for much more!

Air conditioning unit is loud and runs a lot. I’m probably spoiled from central air places.
Also short staffed in the restaurant/bar area as the poor woman was all by herself but did a fantastic job.

So disappointing that yet another business would rather mistreat a client with disabilities than educate themselves on the law. A person who is blind should never have to be placed in another party of the hotel from his/her family because she has a guide animal. A guide animal is not a pet in function, duty or in ethics. And a person who is blind is not a second class citizen who should be segregated to another part of a hotel because of their guide animal. Shame on you, Holiday Inn!

The hotel was clean and everything was good. They have a restaurant where you can have breakfast/dinner which I had breakfast at and it was good.

I thought that this was a very nice hotel. I only had a short stay but appreciated the very clean and modern room. I did not use many of the amenities so I can not comment on those. The room was one of the nicest compared to many of the Holiday Inns I stay in. I would definitelt stay here again.

With 2 children in UVA over the years, we are well acquainted with almost all hotels in Charlottesville. This is one of the best, a real bang for the buck. Completely unassuming, yet with the most caring staff. You will feel comfortable as soon as you walk in.

Not only was the room very nice and extremely clean, the staff was so helpful and attentive during my entire stay. We were able to get a microwave brought to our room when we needed to heat up food, silverware, and all of the extra toiletries we needed. It was such comfortable and pleasant stay.

I got delayed in checking in über late. I came in around 02:00AM. Staff there was friendly and checked me in very quickly. Rooms were cleaning and no problem with bathroom. I was passing through Charlottesville, VA, so I can't say much about the location. I don't think it was that close to the actual town. Overall I had a good experience and I would stay here again.

Great staff. However people smoking in the smokefree area made it less than desirable.

The front desk staff is friendly, and efficient. Check-in was easy, and went to the room. Room was clean and airy as I entered. Ample lighting illuminated the room. Pillows were soft and scrumptious. Standard fare in restaurant, served quickly. Overall, a good property for the value.

Room was OK, not spacious. Good mattress, terribly soft pillows. Included keurig-like coffee machine and powdered sugar and creamer. Small fridge under TV but no way to lower temp in it. Best part was the very friendly and amenable staff. From housekeeper to reception to bartender, all very pleasant as could be.

We stopped there to eat. There was only 1 table with 2 people there. The wait was extremely long. The service was very poor. The food was average. The waitress disappeared for long periods of time. She never checked for drink refills. The atmosphere was. Very nice.

I did an over night stay here. They let me know ahead of time that they will be doing maintenance on their elevators and it could be noisy. They offered ear plugs and offered to let me move to a different room if I needed it, but I wasn't bothered by it at all. The staff was very friendly and the room clean and maintained.

I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff was really kind, rooms clean, food actually very good and I really enjoyed Cheryl's hospitality and ability to deal with a small issue I had.

I was in Charlottesville for an overnight stay last week at the Holiday Inn Charlottesville – Montecello. They noted they would be doing maintenance on the elevators the next morning and gave out ear plugs at check in, which I thought was a nice touch. They also offered to move guests to a different room in the event of noise, but it ended up being quiet after all. I appreciate that they thought ahead like that for their guests. Overall, it was a good stay, the rooms were clean and well maintained and the staff couldn’t have been nicer!

We stayed at this Holiday Inn for a weekend stay in Charlottesville. A few issues: •I had called ahead the day prior to check-in to ask for an early check-in (1:30pm instead of 3pm). I was told it was no problem to accommodate me. When I showed up at almost 2pm, I was told there were no rooms available, and the front desk told me people were still checking out, though the check-out time is between 10am and 11am. There was no record of my request and I was unable to get a room to change for an event I was attending later that night. •If you are a light sleeper, this hotel is NOT for you! The walls are SO thin and it was incredibly noisy every single night with just basic hotel sounds, not even guests being rowdy (like opening and closing of doors, elevators, etc. ) •They are working on the elevators and as such there is currently only one operating for the entire hotel. It was incredibly slow and was known not to stop on certain floors, to change directions, etc. There are better places to stay in Charlottesville — try one of those! It’s a shame because the location is convenient but clearly this place is poorly run.

Decent rooms and hotel, nice comfy beds. But the bathrooms, man. What is the deal with the bathrooms? Just because it looks modern does not make it functional. I had to waddle to the toilet paper holder which for some unexplained reason is placed UNDER the sink fixture.

Our room was very clean and our beds were fine for a two night stay. The Complementary breakfast was the best I have had.

Nice hotel with a small restaurant and bar. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. Staff was nice as well.

Not good no bathtub. No hot breakfast no smoking rooms. And the room had cobwebs in it that looked to be there for some time won't stay there anymore.

Great service, good rates and great continental breakfast.

Friendly staff, clean room and a very comfortable bed. Wifi was a little sluggish but passable. Be aware that not all rooms have tubs so if you need one make sure to ask for it.

Very nice folks, convenient, well maintained and a very good restaurant. If you are not comfortable hearing interstate traffic you would want to ask for a room away from the road.

We booked a room for 2 adults and 3 children. While the room was supposed to have a max capacity of 5, it should have had a max of 4 since it only had 2 doubles and no pullout couch. We asked for a rollout, but none were available, so one of us had to sleep sitting in a chair. The room should not have been booked for 5. On top of that, the sliding pocket door for the bathroom was broken and could not lock, but we fixed that for them. The water had to run for several minutes before it would warm up, and then adjusting the temperature was abnormally finicky. There were also some questionable stains on the carpet and desk chair. On the plus side, two nights of these suboar conditions was cheaper than one night at the other hotel that was available. If we come back, we will shell out the money for the nicer hotel.

Average except the carpets are dingy and old. Hairs in my bathroom sink. No continental breakfast, I'm here for business and I wanna show up eat and leave fast like at an HI Express. I Would not come here again.

Nice rooms and staff. Absolutely no hot water for 2 nights we stayed. Boiler needed to be check, as we were told 3 times. Credited only $50 for no showers for 2 days. With hotel competition in the arwa, will stay somewhere else.

Decent restaurant and hotel bar on the 1st floor. Very close to the interstate and attractions such as Monticello.

Recently revamped the lobby, restaurant and rooms. Now this is the best value in Charlottesville when visiting UVa.

Great location for Monticello and Virginia wineries. Reasonable price most of time. Double beds are small, but the bedding is nice. Would stay again for VA winery hoping.

The room was really awesome. It was cleaned and that was well-furnished. They didn't have TruTV but that's okay. Downstairs they had some good food for breakfast. They also had a waffle house down the street. They had a bar and a restaurant and a nice Lobby. The people who work there were nice.

Just your average Holiday Inn, no Express, no breakfast, nothing to brag about. It was clean and rooms comfortable but for the price per night your paying for location. The outdoor mall for downtown is close and Uber was a big help. Probably not stay here again… not bad but will try somewhere else next time.

It was very easy to get too, right off the interstate, the hotel staff greeted me and made sure I made it to the correct area for my work class.

Very nice and clean. A nice updated and modern look compared to their other buildings. The tile in the bathroom is nice and as well as having a two headed shower. The room is a bit small, but not a huge deal for me. I would stay at this particular one again, probably not their other ones though.

Very clean space, bar was friendly and quick with service. Room AC kept me very comfortable however the ac put out a lot of moisture to the point that my clothes were slightly damp in the morning.

Rooms are beautiful and immaculately clean. All staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

We cannot say enough about the staff especially the restaurant staff. We attended Christmas Eve services and got home just before 8. The staff served us with smiles and great care even though they were scheduled to close at 8. The room was great and bed comfortable.

Under construction so the looks weren't as great as usual, but the beds were comfy. Major complaint is that breakfast isn't free.

For this hotel to be in the Ihg family it was not like other holiday inns or at least not what I am a custom too. We were upgraded to a suite due to our member status but the room was very small, and there wasn't a microwave in the room which was odd. Considering this holiday inn is for extended stays and not like an express.

The staff were pretty good (save for one old crabby guy at the front desk). But it was under construction when I was there and the elevators were unreliable. Aside from that the new rooms no longer have tubs and the beds were uncomfortable. I'll say this, the location here is 10 times better than the Holiday Inn downtown that has worse rooms and horrible service.

The rooms and the location was nice. It was under construction so that was a little annoying.

Although the hotel was under renovations the staff and services was OUTSTANDING. By far the best service I have received at a hotel. We eat breakfast at the restaurant here before our wine tour and the food was surprisingly good. Highly recommended staying here!

We booked Queen size bed room, they gave us a full size bed room and told us that's a Queen size bed. Room was cold and service is bad.

Very basic hotel. Breakfast wasn't included. Close enough to downtown Charlottesville and Jeffersons Monticello to drive there, but not close to much else.

Platinum ihg reward members are not rewarded here no breakfast and requested upgrade was a room without microwave. Staff was polite no attempt to make corrections plan to use another major brand for future visits. Staff notified I was posting rdview nothing but a blank look.

Had the worst experience staff were very rude and disrespectful checked in with my dog they told me dogs cannot be left in the hotel alone which was fine so after going to my room leaving my dog in the room went down to the restaurant they have in the hotel since I couldn't leave the premises to get some dinner was at there maybe an hour went back to my room. My DOG wasn't there! SO you can imagine how I felt when he wasn't in the room ran back downstairs and they had taken him out of the room saying that he was whining and people complained they said they were calling the phone number I gave them and I didn't answer I had no missed calls on my phone come to find out the front desk staff had written down the wrong phone number I told them they should have never taken my dog out of the room because its like taking private property from a stranger and they didn't have permission to do that.
