Back in May, me and my husband were staying in St. George a lot due to a family emergency, so we were trying to find a cheap place to stay. We found the Coronada and saw how cheap the rooms are. Well they are cheap for a reason. We went in the room and there was an infestation of cockroaches. The pillow case was dirty. The window was left open and people were smoking outside so it smelt like smoke in the room. I was pregnant at the time so having all the smoke worried me and the cockroaches and dirty pillowcases were gross. Either way we were not staying there. So we asked for our money back but the guy at the front desk said that he didn't own the place and can't give the money back but we could call the next morning when the owners were in. Well it was my mom that paid for the room so I gave her the information and she called the next morning and they still didn't give her money back. So we didn't stay there. Had to go pay for a new room. And they wouldn't give the money back to my mom. So don't waste your money on a place that you may not want to stay in.

The hotel is well-placed, lots of restaurants nearby. This hotel is quite old-fashioned and need some changes. The rooms are big but not as clean as expected. In fact, you can find stains everywhere and also some cockroach inside room and outdoors. The pool is extremely dirty… they have not cleaned this for ages. Really disappointed.

Basically you get what you pay for. The one thing that really kept my experience from being 5 stars is that they definitely do have a roach problem. Polite staff (I only stayed one night so I don’t know much about the housekeeping), Room was spacious and clean (albeit some wear and tear), Wi-Fi was weak and pretty useless, breakfast was basic. Overall good deal for a good price.

The room was decent. There was a kitchenette, but NO pots or bowls or anything, so it was nearly useless. The beds were more comfortable than our last hotel, and it had really nice towels.

Roaches? Check! Drug dealers/addicts? Check! Roaches? Check! Nasty fifth? Check! Roaches? Check! Heated pool? No check! Roaches? Check! Cook your own continental breakfast? Check! Did I mention the roaches?

The rooms are old, but smelled fantastic! The rooms were a little dirty, but nothing too bad and they're large rooms. Location was great! Breakfast (which is cereal, waffles, and toast) isn't much but pretty dang impressive that it's included for such a low price. Staff is incredible friendly as well.

The location is really great it is in the heart of saint George and there is much to do walking on foot. The rooms were surprisingly cozy and quite didnt here much from the hotel being packed on a weekend. If your looking to get a nice but affordable room and want all the amenities without having to mortgage the house to finance the trip then this is the place for you. I give it 4 out of 5 stars! Thanks Coronado inn I'll definitely be coming back.

Bed bugs, dirty & rude. Within a few days of my stay my two year old son and I were eaten alive by bed bugs which caused an infection in his eye he had to see a doctor for. Yes, bed bugs. Not only did the staff walk out in mid conversation about the issue to take a phone call, but to also smoke a cigarette. Instead of staying with me to resolve the issue like a professional, the manager took multiple calls while smoking in the midst. They also attempted to accuse me of being the source. The way he explained they take care of the issue in their motel; placing large heaters in the room in hopes they die. If I could attach photos I would have plenty. They showed me a clean room as an example of the others but assigned me another that was absolutely filthy. On top of that, someone had stolen items out of my boyfriends truck while we were there as well.

Hi everyone here is a warning from me to you please stay away from the Coronada Inn and Suites in St. George Utah. Back in the beginning of this year I booked a reservation for this hotel. I was booking it for two nights in March and when I booked the reservation I was told that there was a cancellation policy. On February 20 I canceled the reservation via telephone. I did not receive a confirmation of the cancellation. I assumed that it was canceled. When I received my bank statement for the period in question it showed that I was charged for the two nights. I called the hotel and spoke to Landon who said he is the manager of the establishment. I was told to contact my banking institution to have the charges reversed. Today I received a letter from the banking institution stating that the charges could not be reversed. I then called the hotel and spoke to Landon who said he is the general manager. He said that he was sorry but there was no way that he was going to refund any of my money. I even tried mitigating the damage by paying for one of the two nights. He said no and when someone reserves a room it is not given out to a walk-in even though you do not show up for the room. So I say to all of you if you’re ever in the St. George Utah area do not stay at the Coronada Inn and Suites.

Good and affordable place to stay. The room we got was a very nice. It was almost like a small apartment with a kitchen and living room. breakfast was below par though. We had to go out and eat for breakfast. I would have given 5 stars if the breakfast was at least average.

After searching Expedia for "pet friendly" hotels it came up with the Coronado Inn so the wife books the rooms. We get down there with our pet and upon check in discover "No pets Allowed". A $300 fine will be assessed if they find you with a pet on the property. Our daughter takes the pet and stays with a family member and the wife and I stay 1 of our 2 nights at the hotel. We checked out a day early without even a partial refund but that's OK, we were not going to stay another night at this place, we made other arrangements. Be aware the clientele at this place is VERY shady. A walk through the parking lot and pool area after we arrived showed us that its quite possibly a drug haven and the pool is disgusting as well. My 2 daughters love to swim and they didnt want anything to do with it. Look for other lodgings in St. George!

Very bad. I don’t see any place to leave pictures but I took a whole bunch of them. The electrical was scary because there were broken switch plates and GFI missing and a short in one of the lights. The sheets didn’t fit the bed. They were super wrinkled as if they hadn’t been washed. There were holes all throughout the blanket. The stuffing of the chair was exposed from being worn. The door jams were filthy and there were paint marks everywhere. The carpet had split seams and holes throughout and a big stain, and frayed at the door edges and buckles so it was a trip hazard. Outside there was a curb that used to have the neon yellow paint to keep someone from tripping and it was worn off. I almost fell twice not realizing it was there. I can’t say enough bad about about this place. The only reason we stayed there is because the town was full and there was no place else to stay although we made reservations 2 weeks in advance. I thought we would have gotten a nicer room. One of the worst I have ever stayed in. Don’t stay there!

It is an old place but very comfortable and cleaned and departed for the price you can not demand more, the staff is very friendly and at reception don't say. I'll stop here another time to rest.

It's an extended stay motel, so I like that it has a full fridge, oven, stove lots of space and even a hide-a-bed couch. The price is what sells it really it's only $45 a night. Forgot to mention too that they also have a indoor heated pool with hot tub.

Cons: Paint in rooms don’t match. Pool area shows it’s age. Bed was slightly lopsided. Tiny bathroom. Cheap toilet paper. Only three pillows. (I know these issues are petty). Pros: Extremely inexpensive! (Weekend rate was only $52). Very clean rooms. All rooms have full kitchen and dining area. Spacious bedroom. Very relaxing heated pool and hot tub. Among the better continental breakfasts I’ve had even at bigger chain hotels. Nice, friendly staff. I wanted to give it 5 stars due to overall value and quality for your money. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is the bed issue. One box spring under the king bed was shorter than the other. We will definitely return here!

My husband and I needed a little night away. We came here last minute and I was impressed. The management stayed late so we could get our room and were very nice about it. The room was clean and had no weird smells. The bed was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, not a lot of options, however the waffles were amazing and the coffee was good too. The pool and hot tub are older and could probably use a little face lift but they were clean and we enjoyed both! Overall this is a good place and is great on price! My husband and I will be staying here in the future for sure! Overall this place is clean, comfortable, good service and inexpensive.

We are very comfortable here. We stay several times a year. The staff have been very nice to us. The free breakfast is the same every morning. Waffle irons to do them, cereal, oatmeal, juices, coffee, toast.

Great location located right on St George blvd with lots of places within walking distance. The rooms were large and roomy. Most of the staff was very friendly. Place could defiantly use a deep cleaning. Beds were are old with springs and not much support felt like a trampoline. They did have a hide-a-bed which We did not use. We had 4 in our room and they would only give us 3 towels everyday so we had to go to the front desk to ask for more. Has a full kitchen with old Appliances but they do work. We did not see any bugs until the very last day when we found a cock roach in one of the kitchen. Cupboards breakfast was not much your choice of waffle, toast, ceareal or oatmeal. They did have juice milk and coffee. The room was very small and stuffy. Used a washing machine which worked fine. Owner seems a little stingy or cheep on things but if you want a cheep hotel this is it. If you want something a little nicer your going to have to spend more money somewhere else.

My boyfriend and I stayed here this week which apparently was during Avery busy time due to some sort of senior Olympics. When we checked in the lady at the counter who said she was a manager was so friendly, and answered all of our questions. She gave us great reviews on where to eat and recreational adventures in the area. Our room was huge. She had told us it was an older hotel so we were not sure what to expect. We loved it. The room was huge, we had the option of using the indoor pool and hot tub or the outdoor pool at the hotel next door. We were thoroughly enjoying our stay. I went to the office to get an ice bucket and there were three people ahead of me and EVERY one if them were doing nothing but complaining rudely mind you to this like girl about the dumbest things. Like a screw loose in one if the blades of the ceiling fan. Another one was there was a guy standing outside of his room drinking a beer. She asked the guest if he had been harassing them in any way these people responded saying no, they just didn't like people that drink beer and they would like him Moved to another room. WOW and when she informed them that they had no other rooms due to being sold out they began to threaten to give them a bad reputation all over the Internet. After seeing this and reading peoples reviews on here I am saddened and disappointed in people.

We stayed here overnight and found it to be clean and nice. Yes, it was an older motel, but everything had been done to see it met upgrades, short of tearing down and rebuilding. Our room even had a kitchen, which we did not need. The price was fantastic. Trust me, I would not stay at a place no matter how cheap if it was not clean. Safe area too.

Stayed at the Coronada Inn in St George to access Zion. Though it meant we were over an hours drive from the park it also meant that we were staying for thirty dollars a night. That's right, thirty dollars. Basically, so long add the proprietor didn't spit in our face I was going to five this place a good rating. It's not a looker, that's for sure but who cares at this price. It's surprisingly spacious with a serviceable kitchenette and front living room. There's even a heated pool. Downsides are the awful magnetic key cards that seem to lose their functionality of you so much as shake them too hard, a disappointing breakfast (but still thirty dollars a night! ) and outdated and a touch on the shabby chic end for decor. But I'd stay here again if it keeps offering the room for such a discount!

Looking for that 'mint on your pillow' kind of service? You won't find that here. However, you may find an opened condom wrapper next to your bed. That was my wife's experience after checking in at this dump with my 2-year-old son, mom, and two sisters. Do these people even have a housekeeping staff? Are these rooms rented by the hour on weekends? Have these people just completely given up? Come stay here if you want to spend the night in an old, disgusting, smelly room and possibly get an STD just by laying down. Seriously, the room is more likely to give you herpes than the hooker you're thinking of bringing here. Needless to say, my family got the hell out of there and is now sleeping safely in a non-garbage hotel.

Fantastic value! Kitchenette with dining area in front. Bedroom was at the back. Bedroom was completely insulated from traffic noise and was completely quiet. Restrooms have been recently remodeled and are lovely. Pool area needs some attention.

Budget motel in St George. The rooms were outfitted with a kitchen and a separate room. The accommodations were fine for an evening. Breakfast was simple but did include MYO waffles. Good for the price.

Would give full 5 star if dishes and utensils were provided for the apt. Suites. Otherwise they r very clean, and the staff is kewl. Rates are Reasonable.

Would never stay here again. Mattress cover had huge pee stain and boogers on blankets on bed and body hair. The hand tell was worse then a shop rag. I let front desk know this and asked if they could change everything on bed because of the pee stain and boogers. After returning later the bed was re made with all the same nasty stuff just a different sheet. Front desk obviously did not relay the information or go look with their own eyes how gross the room was. Lots of dirt and hair on floors seriously just look and you will see it's poorly cleaned. Spend another 30 bucks a night and stay at a days inn. They also closed breakfast 30 min early one morning. I did not even say a thing at that point I was over it. I rode my 2 day visit out it was horrible.

Nice little place for the price. $50.00 (that incl. Tax! ) got me a 2 queen bed suite with a separate kitchenette! Pool and jacuzzi is covered. The pool deck needs a good scrubbing and paint, but other than that, it was decent. Tom at the front desk is a STUD! Awesome dude. Really appreciated his kindness, professionalism, and overall coolness. Love the A/C, it will freeze you out y'all! Quiet, clean, and kinda retro feeling to the place. I liked it.

I liked the stay just need touch up that's all. However honestly I don't get why its a part of economy and sand. You get more respect from this place and a 12 billion times better night sleep. The staff not prejudice like economy, and aware of problems unlike the sands it doesn't ad up to me. Thank you Coronada and Coronda only for a great stay. Finally respect. Economy and Sand should learn something from their staff. The one thing I will thank the sands for is being rude to turn me away to come here instead.

This motel was decent for the price. The room had a kitchenette, which was handy. The bathroom was nicely remodeled. The walls were pretty thin though, so we heard at least one neighbor's TV until late into the night. The indoor pool was nice to use but pretty run down. The free breakfast was convenient and the staff were friendly.

Cockroaches all over the kitchen and bed and bathroom! Didn't have replacement light bulbs for the bathroom! Had to throw food away from microwave because cockroaches got into it! It's 12:49 am and we're leaving because I'm not having my 1 year old be around such a dirty nasty place our sheets weren't clean their was hairs on the sheets! We used to love staying here but it's gone down bad since our last stay! Would not recommend anyone to stay here!

We go to St George several times a year staying 1 to 3 nights each visit. On my first visit and every visit sense, I'm amazed that for $40.00 — $70.00 a night we get a studio apartment. Full kitchen large fridge, microwave, four burner stove w/oven coffee pot. Iron and ironing boards. They have a couple 2 bd. 2 bath units, two queen beds in each room. W/living room and dinning area, this was only 70.00. Hand painted murals in the rooms. Three large over sized pillows on every bed, the bedrooms don't have tiny closet area, they have large wall units for extra clothing and storage. Heated indoor pool w/jacuzzi. They staff from front desk, to house keeping are helpful, professional and go out of their way to provide service. Extra towels, more coffee​ and waffles in continental breakfast.

Well where do I start? DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! This hotel was absolutely gruesome. Very unimpressed. The whole room smelled strongly of urine, mold, & mildew. Mold and mildew were presently seen in the bathroom. Hole in the wall, connected unsafe room. Sheets were filthy and stained. This room has obviously not been cleaned in a long time if not ever. Management was unhelpful and wouldn't refund our money because they said there was no housekeeping staff to replace a single cup that we used in the room, which explains why the room was completely disgusting. The pool was also broken, not that I would want to swim in it anyways if it was anything like the room. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy and trust me I have some seriously strongly hated enemies.

There was bed bugs in both beds and I actually capture them so that they can see what they have here, my arms got bites all over and I have rashes from this hotel, I bought new clothes and my doctor told me that them bugs actually manage to get inside your belongings that I should just wash everything and throw my luggage bag away and buy a new one.

Great place and great employees :) it's not the Hilton but a great place to stay.

Coronado Inn is in a good location for any activities in the city. There are plenty of places to eat and shop surrounding the inn. There is an indoor pool which was a nice play to go during the hot days. I love that there are kitchenettes and plenty of beds in the rooms for people to sleep on. We stayed in a two bedroom suite, and it has been remodeled since our last stay two years ago. The only things I have to complain about are 1. The lack of options at the continental breakfast (if you don't want waffles or fruit loops you are pretty much out of options) and 2. The carpets are disgusting. After walking on them without shoes, the bottom of my feet became black and my son's socks were blackened on the bottom.

The Coronada is a great deal. I was surprised to walk into my room and find it was a full two room suite with a complete kitchen! Bathroom was clean and apparently newly renovated. There's an indoor pool and spa but I didn't try it. Staff was perfectly civil and helpful. And breakfast included make-your-own waffles and good coffee with real milk (not the powder). I thought it was great. I had room 120. Can't vouch for the rest but I'd stay there again next time I'm in St George.

The rooms are dirty hair underneathe the supposedly clean sheets. Pool is not heated at all. Javier the manager is beyond rude and extremely unprofessional. He will accuse you and threaten you because he is fighting with his wife and holding his neglected child with no clothes n a very full dirty pamper at the front desk and using bad lanuage. The breakfast was set up late everyday and also no milk for ceral or even cereal in that matter. Toast was all u get from the cheap white bread. Your mades dont speak any english and have there children in the room playing wiyh other kids toys as well as sitting on the steps making it hard for people to get in n out of there rooms. This is beyond unprofessional and probably doesn't follow the laws.

This is a smaller motel that appears to be undergoing piecemeal renovations. The facilities were okay — a little worn, but generally clean. Many other guests were smoking just outside of their doors so getting to a non smoking room required walking through a lot of smoke. The hideabed was not clean. The managers were nice. A basic breakfast was provided and there was a computer terminal available for guests to use.

It was an okay place to stay. The staff were friendly. The bathroom was surprisingly nice for the price. The breakfast was what I would expect for the price. Overall it served us well for what we needed.

Very good service. Clean rooms. I would recommend going here to anyone. There are problems here and there, but it's an easy fix. They even got a pool and hot tub, which is very clean all the time. I enjoy every time I come.

The Coronada Motel was the high light of our trip. We only stayed one night but should have stayed three. Reasonably priced, central location in St George, friendly staff, and not so perfect that we were very comfortable and felt welcome. The pool was so great for my grandsons (age 12 & 14). It was a very nice stay. Small living space but perfect for over night. Kitchen with microwave, stove and a table. Working fridge and freezer. Two beds and a nice bathtub, /shower.

We really liked this hotel. The room was spacious and pretty clean. It also helps that it didn't break the bank.

We had a kitchen a living room and a bedroom which was nice but we also had roaches.

We got two rooms. The man who checked us in was horrible! He said, "if I stall 5 minutes my shift will be over" and he was texting to people the whole time he was talking to me. We were just staying one night. In the middle of the night my family members in room 216 found bed bugs crawling on them and they quickly got out of bed and actually caught several bed bugs in a container. Took them to the office and the personnel again didn't care. They said "we will have to spray that room". I think they will turn around and reserve it again. This is certainly not right. We left early and left a note requesting a refund for all the inconvenience and have heard nothing. They are infested with poor customer service and bed bugs too.

Three word's… This, Place, Suck's. I could not sleep at night because there was roaches EVERYWEAR. My dad told me that when he stayed in Hawaii the hotel's had roaches in every room and said that they won't kill me. This place was so gross that I wanted to kill myself for sleeping in the room. I wanted to sleep in the car. These are the reason's why you should not go. Roaches (gross) The remote to the TV is gone. Everything is out dated The Oven Is gross The Cup Or Pan Was Not Clean And I Drank Out Of It And Got A Large Stomach Ake The Pool Was Dirty Rude Staff No Refund Not Hot Spa Pool Was Freezing Always the last free hotel on weekends Breakfast Was Bad The Toilets Had Pubic Hairs On Them Roaches In The Bed's, Wall's, Bathroom's, Oven, Cabnet's and bathtub Heath Violation's Stain's Unclean Rooms {No Duh} Couch Is Unclean Every room Is Infested At All The Bad Rating's.

This place was so disgusting, do not go there, me and my mom went there yesterday, thinking it was gonna be an average motel like motel 6, but as soon as we went inside the lobby I held my breath, it smelled like shit in there, and when we finally got to our room it smelled like urine and there was bug guts on the wall, we were only in there for 1 minute and we we're like "oh hell no", we went outside and didn't even shut the door to our room, the owner from the lobby was waiting for us because once we stepped outside he was standing over by the lobby staring at us, he wouldn't refund the room, so we went left and sat at the McDonald's parking lot for an hour on the phone with Expedia. Expedia refunded us, just don't stay there, spend the extra $20 and go to motel 6

Gross. Spend another $10 and go to Motel 6. I have posted about 10 photos from the roaches, dirty and broken fan, dirty walls and floors, dirty microwave, to the mismatched "kitchen" chairs. Do yourself and the owner a favor and stay somewhere else.

The rooms were dirty cockroaches all over. Pulled sheets back cockroaches in bed. The put us in another room same thing never stay there again.

This place is absolutely disgusting! we stayed one night there and there were cock roaches in our room and a broken mirror. Completely unsafe for crawling or curious babies. And we couldn't even get our money back, all they did was move us two rooms down. It doesn't even feel like a inn and suite! it looked like most of those people that were staying there actually lived there. I guess you get what you pay for though. The place is pretty cheap but totally not worth spending the money on. I completely regret staying there! ALSO the "heated" pool wasn't even heated and the swimming pool and spa was just too overwhelming and burned everybody's eyes. Save your $40 bucks for a better hotel cause this one sucks!

You get what you pay for. In this case, we paid a spacious suite that we left feeling grimy and unclean. There lots of little curly hairs on the blankets. The floors seemed like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. I felt like I needed a shower from simply sleeping there overnight. On the plus side, the couch contained a hide-a-bed, the kitchenette included a midsize refrigerator and microwave, and there was Wi-Fi.

I stayed here years ago. I cannot believe it is still open! It is gross! Filthy, unhealthy and the staff are rude and don't care about the customers! IT IS A ROACH HOTEL! DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING HERE.

Do not go here. Ill get straight to the point. I woke up at 1 in the morning with a roach crawling on my face. When I turned on the light they were EVERYWHERE. I don't think I have ever seen so many cockroaches in 1 room in my life. I grabbed my bags and shook everything out before putting into my car and left to a different hotel down the street. I guess they only come out at night because I didnt see them when I walked in during the day.

I stay a lot motel in St. George but this is the best place to stay with a family. Clean room with spacious living room. Front desk staff is friendly. They had a indoor pool for the kids and wonderful breakfast in the morning. I love this place. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation for family and leisure.

Oh my gosh the worst hotel EVER! The place was a complete dump! We found a used condom on the floor, when we complained to the clerk, we were told the room was already clean and to just pick it up and throw it away. WTF?! At that point, after arguing with the very unprofessional, RUDE, defiant clerk, we decided to leave. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE US A REFUND! Because we put or suit cases on the bed and wrinkled the sheets, it was considered "used" So by just placing our bags on the bed we "used" the room so they would have to have housekeeping clean the room. Freaking ridiculous! We didn't stay past 20 min and still got charged the night! Will never return.

We stayed at Coronada Inn and Suites because we planned a last minute trip and nearly everything else was booked. Some of the people that I traveled with ended up sleeping in their cars instead of inside the motel. It was so disgusting. We couldn't even sleep in the beds! There was hair on the toilet seat and on the bed sheets, there were stains on the sheets, and dirty dishes in the cupboards. I would strongly advise against wasting your money here. It was with great urgency that I showered and washed all of my belongings that entered that room with me, upon leaving. I understand that the prices are cheap, but it would be nice if they could at least keep it sanitary for guests.

My family and I (2, 672 of us) showed up later in the night, and were surprised how large the beds were. Free Disney channel, so a Bugs Life kept the kids busy while the parents relaxed under the cool AC. The dining there was fabulous, food 24/7, around the clock buffet. Another great thing was the free room and board, as long as we stayed under the mattresses during the day. Thank you Coronada, we will be back soon.
