The hotel itself was alright. The issue was with the front counter help. She was nice when she was there, but it was difficult to track her down. It's cool that they have a kitchen, and you can get a toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pans, silverware, etc. The breakfast in the morning didn't have any coffee or not water for the oatmeal packets that were laid out. There was, however, some prepackaged mini muffins. Lots of channels on the tv.

Everything advertised is wrong. Staff is friendly but broken elevator, smelt like smoke in the room, and not even free breakfast as advertised. No dishes in the room no ice machine. None of what shows will have like dishes is here no do not disturb sign worn out door.

The hotel was okay. It seemed to be recently remodeled which was nice but the other guests staying there were a little sketchy. The breakfast could also be improved as both times I went the coffee was out and the hot water was cold.

Good, convenient location of the property. Close to shopping, restaurants and freeway. Room is pretty comfortable. Really good customer service to help with any questions. Easy parking.

Just want to say that the staff here are the sweetest helpful staff my family have had the pleasure of knowing. Shawna the manager makes sure her staff is on top of things and doesn’t hesitate to stop and make sure your needs get met. The girls at the front desk Ricki, Aubrey and Pat go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a happy and safe place to stay. I see Shawna working hours upon hours working on any issues and checking the hotel constantly from head to toe making sure everything is safe and secure. I have never seen a place where your front desk clerks make sure your rooms are in top shape and if not satisfied they personally make sure it’s to your satisfaction inside and outside the hotel! I recommend anyone who is wanting to stay in a safe and clean and friendly staff hotel this is the one for you! These woman here have no ideal how great they do to make a family feel like being home! Awesome job!

Hair in the bathtub. Broken toilet. Worst of all, this place advertises as a pet friendly hotel. It is, but they will tell you about the extra $30 pet fee after you pay for your room.

After a 5-6 hour drive, we arrive at the hotel only to be told that we're being relocated to another hotel 15 min away. There were 3 other hotels right next to our hotel but they choose to relocate us to another Extended Stay America in a different town. I thought that was ridiculous. I used to work in front office management for Hyatt and when we needed to relocate a guest, we tried to find the closest hotel to us, even if it was a competitor hotel. I understand hotels overbook on purpose, because you expect a certain percentage of "no shows" but you try to limit the inconvenience if you ever have to relocate someone. These guys were flustered and unprofessional and Diane seem to care that they were inconveniencing us. Then the hotel we were relocated to had a fire alarm go off at 5:50am without explanation or apologies. After we evacuated outside, the alarm suddenly stopped and everyone went back inside. No fire trucks came to check it out, nothing was even mentioned to the cause of the alarm. It was weird and ridiculous. The other thing that was totally ridiculous is that if during your stay you want fresh towels or sheets, you need to bring the dirty sheets and towels to the front desk, then they'll give you fresh linens. No one cleans your room during your stay. I've never had such an experience. We came back to the hotel after a long day, saw housekeeping didn't clean the room, which really isn't a big deal.

When I needed to get away and just relax. I came to Extended America. I just wanted to sew and get things done without interruption. This was perfect.

Shauna at the front desk was very nice — and overall it pretty good stay for a few nights. Very conveniently located to everything — I would just say it's best to stay on the top floor so your not dealing with alot of noise all the time. Good times. Good luck.

I like the size of the room. The kitchenette is helpful. The bed was comfortable. I still wish they had more of a selection in their snack area.

I stayed in a one bed room, and I actually really liked staying here. I wish I had been in the area longer, so that I could have stayed at the hotel longer. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I liked that there was an actual kitchen in the room with a full size fridge — most places have a fridge that’s no more than 3’ or so tall, but this was a full standard sized fridge with freezer. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the breakfast, but there was still an almost continental-style breakfast of granola bars, muffins, coffee, etc. I’d definitely stay here again if I had to stay in the area again.

We just started our stay here. I came here due to work and needed a place to stay. This location is close to shopping and dining. The room is nice. It has a kitchen. However if you want any utensils, coffee maker, toaster, or other kitchen items you have to ask for them. They have a so called free breakfast however it does not include anything but muffins, granola bars, and oatmeal. Coffee is offered as well as hot tea and hot chocolate. They need milk, juice, yogurt, fruit. Something with more nutrition. They are pet friendly and this is a plus. They need more TV stations. Not everyone watches sports all the time. Need disney, hgtv. And such. Will update more after checkout. Have been here a few months. They need trash cans outside at every door and at the doggy poo stations. I've noticed that a lot of people do not pick up the dog poop. And that maintenance is not picking it up either. So it gets very bad in the areas and you have to watch where you walk. There are cigarette butts everywhere because people are too lazy to use the one area they have set aside for the smokers. They do not enforce that smokers you're not supposed to be out of the building. So you have people smoking at the entrances and tossing their butts on the ground. Very nasty.

It was pretty okay. We over paid, 89 per night then 102 the day after? I seen prices on line for 68, thanks extended stay for ripping us off.

I was told that I could park my trailer in the back when I made my reservation so I let them know I was going to get it. When they said we are sealing our parking lot. So after two days of push me pull you and nothing getting done with only one way in arms one way out it was a log jam of cars, trucks and trailers with the exception of mine. Very Un organized, AMD lack of planning. This was a last minute decision made by management what a cluster f…! On a holiday weekend no less. Won't stay again. My first experience with the west valley location was great. Kudos. Every time no matter what location, Now every time it's a disaster. Good luck if you take your chances. Hope you are a patient person. Plus if you are sensitive to microwave towers they can also accommodate you there as well, with two giant towers directly behind you close enough to warm your coffee. Eeeeeek.

Better than most Extended Stays. It was cleaner, better maintained, and prettier. Unlike a few other Extended Stays, this one had an actual blanket between the bedspread and sheets. The employees are very friendly, especially Shauna who greeted us every day. Only negative was the small stove that never got hot enough.

Shawna and Ricki are what the word Customer Service is all about! Clean, Quiet room, great price, and most important GREAT customer service! These two went above and beyond and I really appreciated it! Will definitely be back!

I have stayed here a couple times. Not bad but not great. Survivable if you remember what you paid for the room. "Free Breakfast" serves better as a laugh on the way the original pancake House down the street.

The staff was extremely rude. I booked this room for my son. Went to the extended stay website and filled out the authorization form for charges since I was out of town. Shawna the manager greeted him by saying you have to have ID to be on this property and then refused to give him a room saying the box for incidentals was not checked. He was homeless the entire weekend due to this. In the meantime I received an email that told me the room and incidentals were to being charged to my card. She did not tell him she could take a 100 deposit, he had to have a credit card. Needless to say I will never stay at any place owned by this company.

The front desk staff could collectively improve their customer service. I felt they gave passive aggressive comments when they could have been more direct. The staff was not as knowledgeable with their location, which is usually an indication they haven't placed enough effort in knowing the area. The room we got is a little dark and felt outdated. Shower wasn't too bad. I only noticed 1 trash bin in the room. The breakfast bar provided a very minimal option, where I've noticed other hotels to be much better. The options included coffee, instant oatmeal, muffins and granola bars. The stores around are great though!

The location is perfect and you get everything around the stay. But the problem is house keeping, I stayed for 15 days and not even once house keeping was done. I was informed once a week it will be done, but never done till the day I left. I felt like an outsider when I moved around the place and was reluctant to ask about the house keeping. They do not have breakfast, only few muffins and oat meal bars. I did not have bfst all 15 days since I have to leave for work at 7AM. It is not suitable for long stay, just over night stay will be good.

Free Wi-Fi is nice for checking email, not quite fast enough to watch YouTube videos. Plenty of wall outlets for charging your devices. No pokestops near the hotel. The customer service is slow but friendly.

Nice large clean room. Good to have a pull out sofa, but mattress is really thin. Bathroom and room were very clean. Nice to have a simple breakfast, but it would be better to have a few more options.

The room was very nice and I enjoyed the stay very much. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. I have to take a star down for the terrible internet they provide. Not only was it less than 500kbps down but the paid tier ($4.99/day or $14.99/ 3 days so no discount) was 2.5mbps down. That isn't the terrible part. The terrible part is that price is per device. I don't enjoy having the site advertise free Wi-Fi and then provide a terribly slow speed. Then to have a paid tier that is not that fast but also requires a paid subscription for EACH device is a terrible practice. Its not like we were located far away from a large city or reliable internet service provider. This is right outside Salt Lake City and really no excuse for that.

Excellent stay and the staff was amazing. A great place to stay at while in the moving process — it was fantastic being able to cook my own meals, in-room.

No shuttle like it said online. Probably my booking through expedia. Any way go directly through extended stay to save $$$

This place sux Donkey D**ks, there is no pool or spa, I work in sewer rehabilitation and relaxation is a must and it is not here. I also believe Physical Health is key to stress relief "HELLO EXTENDED STAY WHERE IS YOUR FITNESS CENTER"… this is the most incompetent and laziest hotel I been too. OH YEAH and what kind of hotel does housekeeping ONLY ONCE A WEEK, well as Napoleon Dynamite says 'IDIOTS'… the only thing I seen good I guess you could say about Extended Stay in Sandy, Utah is that the front desk lady was HOT and very attractive if it wasn't for her I WOULD NOT BE HERE RIGHT NOW, I am not a rude person so Extended Stay you can thank Vanessafor me and my crew staying at least one night. And your breakfast is a tease to a person with a high metabolism and Physical Education is a big part of their lifes… EXTENDED STAY IN SANDY, UTAH YOU NEED TO CATCH UP WITH YOUR NEIGHBOR TO THE RIGHT OF YOU bcuz that's where me and my crew will be tomorrow. Why was this place even built, I don't get it, OH YEA! Wi-Fi doesn't work either so how could it be FREE, I have to turn off my Wi-Fi on my phone just so I can check the weather or watch YouTube. This place doesn't even deserve the one star rating I put, actually the one star goes to Vanessa if I where to come back it would be just to see her, other than that EXTENDED STAY IN SANDY, UTAH like Billy Madison says "YOU SUCK"

Great location near shopping and dining. Very inexpensive yet still clean. I appreciated the kitchenette and full refrigerator. They offer a continental breakfast but it's not as good as it could be. Mostly packaged food and some pieces of fruit.

Location is great near a lot of restaurants and shopping locations within walking distance. Only bad thing I encountered was the cleaning service had to argue to get the room cleaned.

Clean, very basic accommodations. Comfortable beds. Cons — Kitchenette had nothing, no cups, no dinnerware, absolutely bare. Kitchen items are available upon request, but I was disappointed by the added inconvenience.

They were working on the room next door to refurbish and that was a bit loud. They also came knocking in the morning to measure our countertops to begin work for our room; that was a bit annoying.

Good room nice people. All in all was a good time and I enjoyed. I will return.

This property is along hotel row. Sometimes cookie cutter hotels can get lost amidst all those lodges but the extended Stay America was well lit with adequate signage making it so I found it immediately. Of all the hotels I stayed in, and I stay in many, the properties of the extended Stay America chain deliver as close to what they promote better than anyone else.

The Extended Stay has a nice coffee bar in the morning with granola bars, oat meal, hot chocolate, etc. Not like most other Hotels that have continental breakfast. I like the color scheme and the fact that there's a kitchenette in every room. Overall I give it about a 7-8, out of 10.

Very nice, this was like staying at a five star hotel very nice staff was very nice made you feel at home from home. The staff will tend to your every need. Breakfast in the morning and coffee. The rooms were very possible to make me feel like I was at home bed was very comfortable, the cable sometimes went out. The only complaint was when their electric went off and we can choose to get out of the building, when does alarm was on for quite a long time. What day was 9 weeks the area was very nice so I did your hotel 5 star rating. Buenos.

The ladies at the front desk were able to find us a cheaper room than what was advertised online. The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. 10/10 Would sleep in their beds again.

Perfectly acceptable for the price. That being said, it's still a 2 star hotel. My advice, don't go in expecting anything more than that and you may just walk away pleasantly surprised.

Custom er service was bad. As I tried to check in the two ladies behind the desk was completely ignoring me and carrying on about their own conversation then when they finally got to me I was interrupted because one of them wanted to finish a part of their story. when I got up to the room it was nice, basic but nice other than there was two hairs in the shower from whoever stay before me which was gross and the shower shoots out such Strong water that it put a few small bruises on my shoulders and it was anything but relaxing after a long day and when I called for the kitchen supplies it took over 3 hours for them to come and deliver it and when I called for the second time she interrupted me and said want and busy man which was really rude for her to do that I just wanted to fix some breakfast that I brought.

I like extended stay Sandy because it has a kitchen. That is a nice plus, the beds are good and more often than not everything Is in working order. I enjoyed my stay and they send you coupons if you have stayed frequently (which I have). There is a Wendy's next door, so that is nice for your late night cravings, and there is also the Southe Towne Mall across the street which also has a lot of restaurants. It's just a nice central location. The staff are friendly. Don't forget your key card because you won't be able to get into the lobby after midnight and then you're screwed. All in all, I enjoy it, and it's cheap price and I don't mind staying here. Would stay again.

I waited in the lobby for over 20 minutes for a staff member to help me and when she (Vanessa? ) finally arrived she was rude, & condescending. The manager was rude as well; the behavior of the staff was completely uncalled for. Maybe I just caught them on a 'bad day' because if they treated their customers like this daily, they probably wouldn't still be in business. No thanks but I'll get my 'customer service' elsewhere. Apparently I'm not the first person to have a horrible experience at this place. Avoid.

The first room they gave me was noisy so I asked to change. I left without checking the room and came back at midnight to find a room that wasn't clean and had sheets on the chair and trash. No one was at the front desk. An hour and a half later at 130 am I finally got a new room. The new room seemed good until I went to use the restroom. Pubic hair and hair on the toilet seat. WTF seriously who cleans these rooms?! No one is my guess. And this is why their star rating is so low on travel sites.

Good price and clean rooms. Friendly ladies at the front desk. I enjoyed my stay. One thing was the noise maintenance were making installing new door locks but I like it.

Vanessa at the front desk claimed she was the manager when asking for a refund after having paid and asked for my children's full names to gain my room key. After rudely denying my refund request she called the police on me for not relinquishing my children's names and my one broken car window that is neatly covered with plexiglass until fixed. The police gentleman who showed up was very professional and agreed he wouldn't have given his children's names either out of safety reasons. I had booked the room on Price line and asked them to refund me. They called Vanessa on the phone and when told that I wanted a refund for her extreme discriminating rudeness, she got so angry red in the face and her eyes teared up as she yelled to priceline on the phone exclaiming "No I wasn't! " Priceline told her it was up to her to refund me, and once she knew she had the power to deny me, she did so without a care in the world. After police left, I didn't want to lose that much money since I was very limited, and after a 5 hour drive from Vegas all my family wanted and needed was to get out of the car and stretch/lay down/shower, so she finally let me have room key (thanks to policeman! ) Next morning she sent maids to our room three different times from 7am-10am to harass us about when we'd be checking out. Vanessa is rude and discriminating against families and out of staters watch out.

This is the worst place to stay! drug deals going on in the parking lot in broad daylight. The room and bath were filthy (somebody else's hair in the tub, the pots and pans in the kitchen had to washed before I would cook in them. The bedding, towels and rooms are worn and shabby looking. The manager is incompetent and doesn't have a clue. We'll never go back.

Great price, bed is clean, kitchen is clean. I've stayed here about four years in a row while skiing.

This it's the worst place I have ever stayed. The room smells, carpet is stained and smelly, curtains and blankets have holes, towels are dirty. From outside it looks clean, that's where it all ends.

I've read the other reviews, and my experience differed. The hotel was in need of a renovation (carpets were stained, etc). There are no extra services (no morning breakfast of any kind) and no lobby to speak of. There is no place to sit outside while waiting. But I thought it was basically clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The internet service seemed fine (youtube videos loaded fast enough). You can upgrade to 3Mb for $3/night, but I didn't need that. Overall I was happy with it, though it isn't a bit upscale — — pretty typical for hotels in its price range. BTW, I've stayed almost 1000 nights in hotels on 4 continents, so I have a lot to compare with.

Old, dirty, worn, slow internet, poor service, shady-looking guests, and I was worried about bed bugs! Need I say more.
