Just like many of the other reviews, we were consistently reassured that there would be a shuttle available to drop us off to the airport so we can catch our 5:50am flight, we made our appointment the previous day and we got to the front desk 3:30am and the woman told us there was no shuttle available, but that they called another hotel to shuttle us over to the airport. We waited 20 minutes until she came over to us and let us know that she wasn’t sure what time the shuttle was arriving and that “there was nothing they could do about it”. Would definitely recommend putting the extra cash in for a hotel with better service if you’re just going to have to end up paying more for an Uber anyways.

I sat at the airport for 30 minutes trying to call the Ramada SLC airport location for their shuttle. I called the extension for the shuttle, the front desk and finally tried to reach reservations. No one answered for the shuttle or the front desk the entire time. Even the reservations number had heavy call volumes and left me on hold until I finally hung up. I can tolerate the rough worn look, the front desk person with poor communication skills and even the odd smell that permeates the place because it was cheaper than the other options and I should have expected as much. However, to not answer any of the phones for 30 minutes is inexcusable. My cell nearly ran out of battery as I tried to reach them, which would have further complicated their unwillingness to answer their phones. When I finally reached the front desk, the woman who answered the phone struggled to understand what I was trying to tell her and was incredibly unapologetic despite attempts to refocus her on the issue that they were not answering their phones. She just continued to ramble about how the shuttle was on its way now. Definitely worth the extra $20 to stay at an establishment with professional values and service.

They have very nice rooms. They are very clean and well kept. They have ton of things. And they have a restaurant on sight with easy walking distance. People are nice and friendly and they expect pet. Cost is ok to. So if u want a good hotel stay at this one.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in US. For starters, their receptionist is a rude lady with no manners what so ever. Then we were assigned a room with lights not working in bathroom. And it was already 1.00 am by the time we checked in. So we called the reception to get it fixed and for half an hour, nobody came to even check what the issue was. Then an electrician came and told that this is not fixable and we need to change the rooms. At 1.45am in the night, we were changing the rooms. And the rooms smelled horrible. I wish there was a way to give no stars and just write the review. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone.

I love the food and the employees are friendly.

Company paid for my room. This place is dated and there is mold around the tub. Plan ahead a little and get much better accommodations in West Valley, UT. That’s where my company usually gets rooms but they were full. At breakfast, come about 0700 to avoid the tourist rush from 0600-0630. Also by planning ahead you can avoid the airport taxes by staying in West Valley and using Lyft to get to the Airport early if needed.

It's very convenient to the airport, and we had a wonderful stay in a well-appointed room that was quiet and cozy and at a reasonable rate. The complimentary breakfast buffet was diverse and well stocked. Overall, definitely recommend it for an airport area stay!

Here for truck driving school. The housekeeping department does a good job of keeping fresh towels in the rooms and cleaning up every day. The staff is very nice. The shuttle drivers are a bit scary. Would like to see them take a defensive driving course. Overall, the staff is nice. The rooms are clean although the overall motel is needing upgrades on things such as up faucets, shower heads, flooring and ceilings in the bathrooms. Some of the rooms the pipes smell. But overall cleanliness is good. The coffee in the rooms are terrible so I'd suggest going to the 66 next door to get your coffee. Overall a pretty good price for the rooms.

It's okay. The place has strong smells of food. Not pleasant. There isn't an elevator as mentioned below on a previous post so if you have a lot of luggage, it's a real pain to lug it up the stairs and back down again. No pool or hot tub. Our room was pretty hot and the ac unit is probably from the 80s… the labels on the unit had faded away so u didn't know how to fix the air yourself (pic attached). We had a nice maintenance man take a look at it and he asked if we wanted to change rooms. We moved to another room around 9:30pm. Had to carry the luggage down the stairs and up again since our new room was on the other side of the hotel. A bit frustrating but not unbearable. Thank goodness our room didn't smell bad and the ac was working in room 2. Boyfriend and I slept well. Would I come back here again? NO.

The hotel was very accommodating when our flight was cancelled (airline voucher, had to come here). Our room was clean, and for the most part average. However, our toilet didn't flush (it just swirled around), and it leaked a healthy stream from the back. It was also weird that the coffee maker was in the bathroom. They offered for us to change rooms, but it was too late for us to want to. We got dinner and they were out of what we'd wanted (including fries). It isn't bad, but you probably won't be impressed.

Very nice place to stay. The breakfast buffet was really a Great way to start the day. The staff was very nice!

By far more that I expected for what we paid… Transport from and to the airport was on time, breakfast was hot, good and always available during the hours 7-9. Clean room, restaurant food was really good big portions and fare price, the staff was very helpful… Of course some opportunities to improve… the frames and carpet on the hall needs to be fixed. In general the services really good for what you paid.

This place can be so much better. They don't take customer service seriously. They gave me the room key to another guy at one am when he almost shot us for getting into his room. That and no shuttle service from the airport to rely on.

Bare essentials hotel. Booked for me when flight got delayed till the next day. Family run business that is trying to do thier best. Room was clean, breakfast was simple and good, shuttle was good to and from the airport. The hotel has no elevator, a slightly cramped restruant, and some very interesting smells as you walk to your room. Very nice receptionist with your best interest at heart.

This was the absolute worst experience at any hotel I have ever had! It started when we walked into the lobby to check in (we had already booked and paid for the hotel room) and it was full of people who had their reservations cancelled, as were ours. After over an hour, we were sent to a different hotel chain over 45 minutes away. They had overbooked by 40 rooms, and when we were told this was no accident, and they had to book a large group or they would lose a contract worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, it was unbelievable. We stayed at the hotel the following two nights, and it was terrible. The room and the pillows have an awful odor, the corners of the rooms hadn't been vacuumed in ages, many broken items in the room, including the coffee maker. When I called the front desk about the coffee maker, they said, "I know, there's coffee in the lobby. " The Wi-Fi didn't work, and after all of this and complaining, they offered me 50% off one meal in the disgusting restaurant, which I didn't use. The entire hotel is a mess and run down. Worst hotel ever!

The room was nice. The floor was sticky. Lounge and lobby smelt heavily of soap. 24 hr airport shuttle but only runs on the hr. My husband went to eat at the restaurant and no one helped him for over 25 min so he ealked out… Instead the kitchen staff went and hung out in the bar (and yes they looked at him).

Yuck yuck YUCK! This place is disgusting! The staff is friendly. The bar is trashy. The rooms smell stale, old and nasty. I rented 2 rooms and both rooms smelled so nasty. It was so late at night that I was too exhausted to go through finding another place so I used half a bottle of perfume to cover up the smell. Toilet wouldn't stop running and the shower wouldn't drain. Just so friggen nasty and out dated. Run away!

The ONLY reason this place gets a star is because they won't let me write a review without one. This place is a joke! The have a $50 deposit (on rooms that are well below sub par) and I was told when I checked in that it would be released back to my card the minute I checked out. Fast forward three days late and still no refund. Called to talk to a manager about it, that was a complete waste of time! She interrupted me, talked loudly over me and would not let me speak. She is very unprofessional and down right rude! I usually stay at the hotel next door (The Quality Inn) because that's where my company puts us, but they didn't have any rooms that night. The Ramada is a very run down, disgusting hotel. The wing I was put in smelled like someone was cooking some very spicy ethnic food and it reeked! I can say, however, the bar and wait staff in the restaurant and bar are very good! The woman at the desk, not so much! I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS MOTEL AGAIN!

Very kind and friendly staff. Manager on duty was helpful when trying to check in early after a long drive from Michigan, she approved with no charge for an early check in. Their very fun and outgoing beings. Full of energy and happiness. Very welcoming. Thank you.

This wouldn't be my ideal choice of stay but it was booked by my company. There is nothing too appealing upon entering from the lobby. The look can use some updating. There is a bar and restaurant which is nice to have if you are looking for those ammenities. The staff were nice and attentive. Free standard breakfast. My room was clean, modern, although I had issues with my toilet flushing and sink not draining properly. There courtyard is littered with cigarette butts even though there are signs everywhere stating 100% smoke free within 25 feet which is also odd because the designated areas are right outside the doorways. A positive is there is 24 hour camera surveillance. The bed was very comfortable and noise level within the premise was very minimal. I would only ever stay here again if the price was right.

I was stranded at the airport and the airlines recommended this hotel and promised me there was a shuttle. It took over an hour and 2 phone calls for the shuttle to show up. Then the computer wasn't working to check in. It took me nearly 2 hours from the time I booked to get to my room. There I passed 2 police officers escorting someone out of the hotel. I must say the woman at the front desk nice and professional and trying her best.

Check in for me was smooth, but the group in front of me had issues so it took some time with only one clerk. Room was comfortable but a bit dated. Security was a concern. The doors to the outside had no locks and there were large gap in my room door. Breakfast was standard instant scrambled eggs and sausage patties and waffle maker.

I gave it 3 stars from the manager and the staff being so rude and no one has any idea on where things are and no one had a way for us to get a round no cab no nothing. The staff member this morning 11-28-17 @ 1400 Has the nerve to start an argument with my partner. And the statement that 2 women have no business being together really tiles me over the edge. The restraint was good food and the service was Amazing. Hotel staff is a complete joke even the maids.

Forced to stay here overnight when airline had a maintenance issue preventing us from getting home that night. Video on YouTube channel. The only reason I did not give a one star is because the hotel has free airport shuttle, the staff is friendly and the restaurant was not too bad either. However, the hotel grounds smell, and the rooms are in dire need of some attention. Cracked paint, wood and caulking. I have stayed in worse hotels and can not recommend staying here in good faith. Wife was waiting for bugs, none showed up. However we actually slept well. We felt this was in part of our stressful long travel day, and not comfort from beds.

Only one thing of coffee. On average, the doors were in great shape… one absolutely could not open and the other couldn't be locked. I was ecstatic when I reached 10000 steps for the day while wondering the endless hallways looking for the ever elusive working ice machine, which, unfortunately maintained its unknown location. However, after all this, the beds were clean and comfortable, but I will most likely choose to spend my money elsewhere in the future.

The staff was absolutely amazing, kind, welcoming and generous! They upgraded us to a suite for free "just because". Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Great job guys!

Decent place to stay the night on a budget near the SLC airport. Room has seen better days, and looked worn down and in need of touching up, but nothing horrible. Attention to detail at this location appears to be lacking, however. Small repairs not completed, crooked fixtures, and and out of date amenities guide (Complete with airline information for Northwest, Continental, and America West. All no longer in operation). Airport shuttle is iffy as well. Driver was aware my party was ready for pickup, and yet he drove right past our terminal. While not on my blacklist, I wouldn't seek out this location again for an overnight stay.

The Ramada has a sweet deal where we can pay to leave our car in their parking lot while we are travelling. It is less expensive than parking at the airport. The shuttle to the airport is convenient and free. It is a great deal.

I travel 60% of the year and have stayed at several hotels. In the past two months, this stay on September 11-13-2017, will be my fourth stay at four different hotels and three different chains in the Salt Lake area. This stay by far has been the most unpleasant. The smell outside upon arrival was displeasing and set the precedent for my experience. The odor in the air smelled like raw sewage and I was reluctant to even check in. When I walked through the front door I immediately noticed that there was a failed attempt to update the hotel grounds and the smell inside made me think of an assisted living establishment. The staff was very friendly and helpful and that's the only reason why there is a two star review. Once checked in I was given clear directions as to where my room was located and I proceeded to make my way there. I parked where I was told it would be most convenient unfortunately the exterior door leading to my room was inoperable. I had to go to the other exterior door that wasn't secured and find my way to my room. This was a minor inconvenience but still an inconvenience. I get to my room and after fidgeting with the door I'm finally able to get settled in. The odor I experienced earlier was not as bad in the room but it was still present. After a long day of travel I get settled in and ready for bed. The bed was par at best but the pillows were terrible. I usually sleep fairly well when I'm out of town but I was tossing and turning all night.

Only good thing about this hotel is there are no bugs crawling around and im surprised because it smells awful. Pillows and sheets have permanent stains housekeeper was great but front desk could have been better. Cable and TV good just needs more friendly staff shampoo the carpets and let the old sheets and pillows with the stains go. Definitely a 2 star hotel maybe 1

Bathroom need improve, no shampoo & hair dryer. Informed the front desk, an hour later nothing showed-up. Called front desk second time from the room, promised to deliver in 20 min. But nothing happened since then. Very disappointed. Would not stay with Ramada again in the future.

Umm, not a Marriott! Have no concept of "Wheelchair-Accessible" or "handicapped-accessible". Non ADA tub caused multiple falls. Doors way to narrow for wheelchair means non-folding-cheap-wheelchairs only thing that fits. Everything else is serious disassembly. What makes it worse is that I called, twice after making reservation to ensure compatibility. This wasn't a simple misunderstanding, this was gross negligence. Ramada should be shamed.

Room was not bad, bed was comfortable but the whole place was looking run down. Paint and carpeting looked it was still from the late 70's. The pool was dirty and all the cleaning equipment was left in and around the pool. Like someone was going to clean the pool and just aborted mid cleaning. Staff was overwhelmed by a group that was staying there. This group had two large busses blocking the parking lot and they were all very rude. Couldn't even get to the free breakfast to see what they had, as this group hogged the whole area. Glad I checked out early. It meet my needs for needing a place to rest for a few hours. No way would I bring my family there and stay for an extended period of time.

I had 4 pieces of luggage while there; three of which weighed close to 50lbs. I was given a room upstairs. Hotel has no elevator. Lol. Some of the lights didn't work in my room. Soap was great. Towels were nice and white with no wear. Bed was very comfortable. I had a flight out next morningand Shuttle was 8 mins late. Overall nice stay. Go fast it's only $30 plus tax. :)

Dirty, musty, old, and rundown. Breakfast wasn't good. The shuttle driver was great and very nice. Will not go back… ever.

Literal dried poop on the toilet seat rim, and rim doesn't stay up on its own so you can urinate. Room setup is garbage and nonsense. Didn't dare shower here. Parking lot is trash and the pavement is destroyed. Bed is forced up against wall outlet with lamps plugged in, fire hazard. Lights burnt out. No indoor spa/pool. TV is 240p and almost painful to watch. This place is $#! T. Don't stay here.

Room dose not get cold. I maxed out the heater and was cold. Had the heater on for 2 hrs. Smells bad. Tv quality is poor except for the inside Amelia's bar which had hd tv. Dead cockroach on the walls. Other than that it's ok for a day or two if u need to stay somewhere.

The room smelled bad and was not very clean. The lobby smelled just as bad. This place could have been nice if someone took the time and put forth some effort. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We chose this hotel based on the location, being near the airport. Needless to say we will never be staying here again.

Their park and fly service is a joke! Go elsewhere. My co worker was accidentally charged for a week long of normal hotel stay instead of $5 a day parking — took him almost a month to finally resolve. Their shuttle to get back to the airport after your stay is also a joke. Also when you come here to use park and stay make sure to plan out about 45 min at the hotel because their incompetent front desk people do not know how to book it in their system properly. Awful all around.

Ok first off to the dumb ass that loaded up pictures showing the outside of the hotel is totally WRONG. Not sure where he got those pics from. My room is CLEAN. I took some photos of the room and underneath the bed. Didn't find anything. The room does show some wear from previous guest banging the suitcase and or themselves against the corners of the walls. To one of the comments listed below. You complained that you had to "flush 8 times". One word "Fiber", and or take a coat hanging and chop it up. I did find some mold on the caulking around the tub. Wi-Fi strong too. Didn't give this place 5 stars because of chipped paint on the corners of the walls and water mold on caulking around the tub. Keeping it real people. Oh and it only took me 1 flush.

Literally smells like an animal petting zoo. Mold on cracked walls. Would avoid it like the plague. We booked two nights and when we arrived and were appalled by the conditions, they wouldn't refund us our money. The front desk woman was the rudest most difficult person to deal with. And after calling their corporate office, and being treated the way we were, I will never book a Ramada again.

(Let me say that the previous reviews were before & during the hotels renovation period. ) My husband & I & our 2 dogs stayed in room 270 from 9/11/15 — 9/15/15 & I must say it was a great stay. The staff was warm, friendly & very helpful. Even the manager who is allergic to dogs drove us all back to Kenworth. The lobby was well lit with plenty of seating. The hallways also well lit & the room numbers easy to read. The room itself was very comfortable & clean & spacious. And did not hear neighbors through the walls or going down the hall. The housekeeping staff honors your DO NOT DISTURB sign allowing you to sleep in. And will take good care of your room when you need them. The rates are excellent compared to the nearby competition. A 100% non smoking pet friendly place with a pool & hot tub (the hot tub is still under renovation) business office, on site restaurant & bar, exercise room. We did not get up early enough to enjoy the complimentary breakfast but saw guests enjoying a plate in the hotels lovely enclosed courtyard. All in all a truly wonderful stay. They have shuttle service 24/7 & offer a CDL discount. So I highly recommend this hotel & we hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

We stayed one night because of a flight cancellation and Delta pointed us there. Room was dirty with stains and mold on the bathroom walls. Carpet in the room was bunched up like someone who did not know what they were doing did the installation. It needed vacuuming. No bags in the trash cans in the bathroom. I am sure they are saving a few bucks by doing that but how hygienic can that be? Wi-fi was unreliable and kept disconnecting. Yvonne at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful, however.

Rooms are disgusting. I order lasagna for dinner and it was still cold in the center. The only benefit to the hotel is it has an over priced bar attached. Drink enough and you may not care that the room smelled like a mortuary. I slept on top of the blankets because the sheets were dirty and look like they had not been changed. Took them 30 mins to find my reservation. Actually had to hit the ac unit to get it to work. I have stayed at some bad hotels but this was by far the worst stay EVER. Bed are extremely uncomfortable. I usually don't put reviews but want to prevent someone from possibly need a shot of penicillin after they sleep there.

Im going to have to be honest. We thought the room was cleaned pretty well and it looked like it had a couple things remodeled to freshen up the place. Other than that, the things that bothered me kept stacking up throughout my stay. There was only one working ice machine, none of the snack vending machines worked, there REALLY WAS a breakfast nazi making sure that you dont take food to your room, it took me MANY tries to get my key to work on the back door of the hotel, and they dont put liners in the bedroom trash cans. Also, the hot tub and pool were emptied, which is understandable, but still. BUMMER! The bar seemed pretty cool from a distance, but I didnt check it out since I had my kiddos with me. Most of the things are easy fixes, but they can kinda ruin your stay if not taken care of.

Good stay at this hotel. Quiet relaxing and get drunk on the bar and sleep in the room, quite the enjoyment. Just kidding. They are awesome. Good food and service is great and really conveniently located in airport. I will be back. Thanks.

Check out their recently renovated bar. Also the rooms are renovated. Food is great, bar Is great, lots of smiley faces. Good service and the rooms were great. I would like to stay again if I am back in this area. ramada keep up the good work. Don't let tawny and merlinda go as they are my favourite.

"Convention time at Ramada" I stayed here since we had convention at Ramada. Good night stay, and good restaurant. Nice comfty bed and comfty pillow. The people working there are great no complaint, no comments. ramada keep up the good work.

Terrible front desk service. Rude and more concerned about their fellow workers conversation or whats on their cellphone. When you do get to your room be prepared for old towels that have the softness of sand paper. Continental breakfast is as well a huge disappointment and the lady standing there and staring at your every move doesn't help. Spend the extra $20 more a night and enjoy your stay somewhere else.

Nice, Hotel and great stay. I am a frequent traveler and I stay here always. It's a great hotel, Good Service and Good Food. People are friendly and accommodating, nice flat screen TV with plenty of choices to see including ESPN and NFL.

Well if you like having your Wi-Fi go out every thirty minutes rude staff and overpriced food you are in luck friends. Not to mention how the bar staff will cater to their local homies who don't even stay at the Ramada. But yet paying customers get the last look when it comes to a drink in hand. Now all of this was summed up by a wonderful breakfast ruined by what I'm assuming was management standing over us like prison guards as we made waffles I mean dang it made me feel like I was about to be guilty of something.

$50 a night with CDL. Can't beat it. Room to park a bobtail, not sure about a trailer too. Restaurant and bar on site. It's cold and stormy outside, the Flying J is jammed, I'm so glad I decided to stay here instead of dealing with long lines and no place to sit to watch the games at the hook.

Absolutely worst maintained place I have seen in the Salt Lake area. I wouldn't recommend it to people I don't like.

This was near North Temple and Redwood. We pulled up and it looked abandobed. The outside and inside looks like a horrible 70's hotel. The color of the building is pale, the giant windows with dusty dirty drapes in our room was embarrassing. The bathroom in my room is small. You literally sitting on the toilet and your 2 feet away from the wall. I am 6'3" tall and in the shower my head was literally touching the ceiling. Looked forward to breakfast and it was a unpleasant sight. The lady in charged of the breakfast just sat there and filled the coffee and moved the bread/pastry box around. The orange juice and cranberry juice container is at the bottom when I got there at 8am, I returned to get some juice, and it was not even filled. Breakfast to any American has eggs. There was no eggs, no bacon, no sausage, no hash brown, no pancakes, no fresh milk, only milk in a container for the 1 cereal that was available. The price to stay here was $88, not worth it at all. The guy working last evening was in a party with friends in a room to our left. Renovations are done in the lobby to give the customer a wow factor but after that it's back to the 70's.

Worst hotel ever been at! 1. I had to flush the toilet like 8 times to get it to go down (really 8 times) 2. The free Wi-Fi after half an hour use couldn't get any signal after that. 3. The customer service was horrible damn lady had attitude as if I owed her money. 4. I've seen old AC units before but God this one was really old, like really it's 2014 get with the times already. 5. The 10.00 price for anything from the bar and grill that's inside really 10.00 minimum come on. 6. Technically there is nothing else to eat but subway or the gas station next door. 7. I wish I would have been able to take a picture but I know there was bugs in there I killed two and after that I couldn't find any. Just not a good experience and will never come back.

I grew up in a large family and growing up we always had to get "cheaper" hotels so I am used to older, less fancy hotels. However we came down to this hotel for an appointment at primary children's for our daughter who has medical condition, and I was seriously worried for her health. Not only was the hotel old but it was dirty, very dirty. I can handle the "old" but I cannot tolerate the dirty. I used to clean hotel rooms so I can tell when something has been cleaned or not. The carpet had ripples in it and it looked like it hadn't even been vacuumed. The bathroom was disgusting! There was water damage on the ceiling and the walls in the bathroom. Stains all over the walls. I'm pretty sure there was a little mold growing up on the ceiling. There was sticky stuff on the chair that was in the room. I couldn't wait to get out of there in the morning. When I read some of the other negative reviews I thought that other people were probably just picky, but after staying there I admit I was wrong. We were there during a convention or something so maybe the maids were just in a super hurry or something, or maybe we just got a bad room, regardless of the reason I personally will never stay at this hotel again.
