Comfortable roadside hotel with spacious rooms. Probably the nicest hotel for 100 miles. Decent hot breakfast for Covid.

I stopped at this hotel after my mom’s funeral and Shannon was amazing she was so helpful and so thoughtful and just a beautiful person and made me feel a little better after losing my mom customer service like that is just truly amazing and makes it so personal and caring and loving and I am so grateful I stop there.

I was greeted right away with a smile. As a Gold Slite Rewards Member, I was also offered cold bottled waters, mints, and bonus points as a welcome gift. The room was clean and so is the hotel. Looking forward to a wonderful sleep and great complimentary breakfast!

Really nice place. Had everything you would expect from a hotel. Was very surprised to find such a modern place so far from civilization.

Second hotel of the road trip. Driving super late at night and called here to see if we could book a room, Bianca (might be spelling her name wrong) was super nice to let us "reserve" a room super late into the night (around 2am) and we weren't if sure if we'd make it after all the thunderstorms in Arizona. The hotel room was very spacious and very clean, had no complaints. The breakfast was standard, but the cinnamon rolls they had were probably one of the betters ones I had at a holiday Inn!

Stopped here after camping and hiking at Guadalupe Mountains National Park and the lady at the front desk was extremely polite and accommodating. She greeted us and although we looked dirty and very tired that didn’t change how she treated us. We asked for extra pillows and she gladly got them for us. The only complaint we had was our shower did not drain very well. We informed the front desk and they offered to change rooms which we declined because we were so tired. When we checked out the man at the front desk asked how the stay was and we said great but told him you should really look at the drain. He apologized and gave us extra points for the inconvenience. We will definitely stay here again if we travel through this area.

Great experience at this hotel! The lobby and rooms were very clean. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was provided from 6-9 and it was very accommodating for pets. Would recommend!

Beds were hard. Breakfast was here be if the worst I have had in my years of hotel travel. Even compared to other Holiday Inn Express, it ranked the lowest. Turkey sausage had been rewarmed to the point of being hard and dry. “Cheese omelette “ was discuss ting. All for $139 per night in the middle of Texas.

Rooms are ok, clean but unimpressive. There is nothing nearby so good luck getting a decent meal or even just essential travel items. This is also THE NOISIEST place I've ever tried to sleep. Walls are paper thin so you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the rooms next to you, it's basically ON the highway so you can hear every vehicle that passes, and there are train tracks that run nearby. If you're a light sleeper or need to get a good night's sleep I would highly recommend avoiding this place (though it does look to be the nicest in this town).

Clean, beautiful room, affordable, great customer service!

We booked the hotel for a road trip and then had a blow out, radiator issue AND a transmission fluid leak, each of which set us back hours. Of course this is not the hotel's fault. I called to see if we could change our reservation to a hotel and was told all we could do was cancel and that we would be charged for the cancellation. The hotel representative (on site) said she would check with the manager and call me back if they could accommodate or cancel at no charge, no call back. I called the corporate reservation #, also no help but they said they'd note the reservation for our late arrival should we decide to go on to the hotel. So, seeing as how we were paying for that room either way, we would like to reach our eventual destination and we were traveling with a pet which would be hard to accommodate, we drove until 3:30am. When we arrived, our reservation had been cancelled and they booked us in the same room at a higher price once we were low on options. We also weren't offered our IHG club member treats at check in. Not the level of service we've come to expect from Holiday Inn Express. Otherwise, hotel was clean, beds comfortable. Staff needs a lesson on customer service.

If this is the new look for Holiday Inn Express, I am all in. It is modern, upbeat and super clean. I love the window seat! The indirect lighting from both behind the bed and behind the opposing wall with the desk is superb. The sliding door to segment off the main room from the bathroom is genius. It allows one person to be sleeping while another is getting ready. All around, I simply love the design and feel and cleanliness of this place.

One year old, clean, modern style with limited furniture and minimal lighting. Pleasant staff with typical free Holiday Inn Express breakfast. Good exercise equipment. We were not offered welcome gift. Bed very comfortable. Get room on back side away from I 10 and road noise.

Wonderfully clean and spacious rooms. Comfortable bed, quiet, and dark. I am a light sleeper, and this was the best hotel stay I have had in almost 2 years. Check-in was easy, and breakfast was delicious! It was a great place to stay.

So comfy! When the surrounding motels/hotels are reminiscent of CSI or horror movies the extra few dollars you pay to stay at this place is very well worth it. The actual room is super clean, spacious, well lit, the decor is modern, and the bed is super comfortable. I'll definitely be staying here on my trips back through Texas!

Very comfortable accommodations. Beds are on the firm side, but pillows are nice and soft. After a long drive in from Arizona I was happy to see how new and clean this place was. Everything is so modern and sleek looking. Parking for 18 wheelers in the back. Hot breakfast is included and would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the breakfast experience. Options are limited and the taste is mediocre at best. Does have a pancake maker which is a "hit the botton and done" set up, which is awesome. Stopped here in route to Corpus Christi, TX for a wedding and will definitely swing in here again on the way back. Considering the other options in Van Horn, this place in in town, hands down.

Pretty standard. Room was nice, no problems. For $110 a night you'd think you'd at least get a free continental breakfast, but nope. And you have to book your room through an account to get Wi-Fi that isn't the world's slowest, which is gimmicky.

The hotel was extremely nice, breakfast was great, but had one problem. My husband is in a wheelchair, paralyzed from arm level down. The bed, which was excellent, was 10 inches higher than his wheelchair. I definitely needed help. Holiday Inn is very fortunate to have on staff, Ofelia Delgadillo. We were very fortunate that she was there. Ofelia came into our room worked with me in getting him in bed. He is 6ft 2inches and weighs roughly 190 lbs. Ofelia got up on opposite side of bed and helped to pull him into the bed. Never have I had any one work so hard at helping us. As I said before, Holiday Inn is very lucky to have her on staff. The room was very nice as was all accommodations. Very friendly staff.

Rooms are large to extra large, with plenty of room to spread out and work or relax. The beds are new and super comfortable. The staff are always friendly and professional — front desk, breakfast, maintenance and maids. The room amenities are limited — shampoo and conditioner only. Kinda surprising. And food options are extremely limited for those living on the road or traveling with gluten allergies. I have never seen bacon slices so thin! Skip the little alcove off the front desk where they sell snacks and toiletries. The prices are crazy high. The hotel does offer a large, fenced in patio and pool and hot tub.

I've stayed at this hotel twice, and, sadly, it didn't live up to the Holiday Inn standards either time. The first time we stayed here was on Saturday, Nov 18th. When we pulled up at 11 pm, there were absolutely no parking spots. For being a new hotel, you would think they would have enough. There were 6 vehicles with trailers each taking up 3-4 spots a piece, which may have been the problem. Cars were parked everywhere, but still, this shouldn't have been a problem. Eventually I parked at the shadier Quality Inn next door and we checked in. The check in process wasn't that bad, but we did have to wait since the receptionists computer crashed. After getting keys to room 302 we go up to it and the door is open (held in place by the lock inside). Everything seems normal until my wife goes to use the restroom—someone had used it and didn't flush. Awesome. I talked to the front desk to make sure that no one else had been booked in there, and they said no, but to make sure we lock the door from the inside to be sure. Okay… Then around 2 am we're all getting ready to go to bed and the water shuts off. Both the sink and shower had no pressure. It was back up by the morning though. Breakfast was mediocre. Pancake cooker, but no pancake batter to cook with. Not much fruit. Eggs were super soggy. They did have good cinnamon rolls though. The second time we were there was Friday, Nov 24th. Parking was a little better, I found a spot.

Good service and location, reasonable prices.

Clean and new. Nice finishes. Front desk is super slow. You stand there each time for 2-3 min before the attendant makes her way to the desk. Very loud from the hwy so close. The ac fan says you can turn it on for some white noise but you cannot so unless the ac kicks in you sit in complete silence listening to doors closing in the hall or the roar of semis being a stones throw away. Overall I would drive another 15-20 miles and stay elsewhere.

This hotel was beautiful! The best holiday inn express we've ever stayed in very clean, modern, just beautiful. The Japanese style sliding door that separates the bedroom from the entrance to the room reminded us of my husband's apartment in Okinawa. The breakfast attendant wasn't friendly however, right at time breakfast ended she quickly closed the garage door to the breakfast area and stood there hand on her hip looking annoyed at us and the few other guests like she wanted us to hurry up and finish so she could wipe the tables.

I usually love Holiday Inn Express, but even though the room was very nice there were things that made for am uncomfortable sleep, which is why I stop at motel… To sleep! I admit I am a light sleeper, so if you are too don't stay in or around room for 206. There was a loud noise that came on and off all night (maybe the a/c units), the smoke detector was in the middle of the ceiling blinking all night, the pillows were nice, but the bed felt nice when I first got on it, but quickly felt too hard. I finally found out half way through the night that if you put the A/C on fan it will still come on and cool to the desired temp. While drowning out that outside noise.

Beautiful new hotel! Just need to get the breakfast worked out. Sausage was cold while the eggs were crunchy. Once they work out the kinks, it will be 5 stars.

Great stay. Hotel was nice, clean and modern. The staff was super friendly when I saw them. The rooms were amazing, the king suite was much bigger than I expected. The bed was comfortable and there was a good selection of pillows. I love how there were USBs built into the wall along with the power outlets, and they were conveniently placed. They had a great breakfast selection, and it was not too bad. My only 2 complaints (which aren't that bad) is that I wasn't able to turn the AC off, as the room got pretty cold with the room on. The other being the location of the smoke detector, as the light indicating that it was on was right over the bed and lit up the room. Nickelback apparently stayed at this hotel at one point, so take that as you will.

Made my stay feel like home. Rooms were very nice and clean. Keurig machine. With flavors. Lighting in rooms is extremly amazing. Free breakfast served till 10am. Pool.

This hotel is new, clean, and stylish. The experience would have been five stars had it not been for the fact that the water in our bathroom stopped working for a while. They offered us a new room. The we tried the water again and it started to randomly work again, but it took several minutes longer for hot water to come through. I would have left it at four stars after that, were it not for the mediocre breakfast. Cold eggs and the pankcake maker was broken. For reference, we stayed in room 227

Ended up staying 4 nights, and had a great stay as we visited with family in town, the hotel staff is great. Hotel so clean and modern. Even when a thunder storm came thru and power went out in the entire town the hotel staff did all they could to make us comfortable, hotel manager Martha came in before her tour to help during the power outage. Raul Vasquez desk person kept checking on guest during breakfast, so nice as he checked out guest. Housekeeping was always friendly asking us if we needed anything during our stay, Hillary was super nice. We are definitely telling our friends to stop here.

This is a place to stay in but if you are going to stay at this INN you should ask for rooms facing rear because the nose from lorry and car gets in through windows Other than that it's very good place for staying complementary breakfast very high standard then normally you get.

The hotel itself was modern, clean and brand new. Everything was high end, but very affordable. Sound from the freeway wasn't bothersome. Would stay again.

Seems to be a new hotel. Very clean. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Had room to park 26' Penske with car in tow. Pet friendly. Room was very nice, clean and modernized with USB jacks. Beds comfortable. Free breakfast. Highly recommend.

Brand new, clean and nice. Adequate service, the pool isn't quite ready, but Van Horn desperately needed a new hotel. This is it!

We recently stayed at this hotel having left another Holiday Inn Express in another state that same day. Our expectations were very high as we were expecting the same hospitality and cleanliness. One, the restroom floor lacked cleaning because is had stains and many womens hair which could fall when brushing on the floor. The bath towels also smelled like dried up urine. When trying to get attended there was no employee in sight and waited more than five minutes to see if they had rooms available since we weren't able to get rooms online. I will not return to this establishment again.

Wonderful stay. Great new building and rooms. Spacious rooms, just great all around!

This is a new hotel. Any review older than 12/24/2016 is not this hotel. I would give it a higher rating but it still has too many construction issues! It will be nice when the contractors finish.
