This was such a pleasant surprise. Dont be fooled by the lobby pics, this is an up-to-date, modern version of the travel motel, and the best deal in Van Horn. A couple of reviewers commented on service and issues with the owners — so I want to make the point that we had outstanding service here. There was a problem with out first room and the owner switched us to a different room without hesitation (the utility workers in the room next to ours had been smoking on the sidewalk outside our room and the smoke got pulled into our room thru the a/c vent). The rooms are VERY nice, recently remodeled (including beautiful crown molding) and in good working order. The fridge in our room did not work and we needed it, but were too tired to change rooms again. This is a gem, a place that will exceed your expectations!

Travelling from CA, tired in need of shower and sleep. Great surprise, super clean and customer service was great.

In Texas. Clean, pet friendly. Large rooms. In room coffee. Reasonable price. "you get what you pay for " very true.

Motel got the job done. However, we were charged $50 for our dogs (we had two). Seems pretty unreasonable considering that our room cost $80. Btw, we now stay at the Red Roof Inn down the street where pets stay free.

Room was very very clean, not a hair or bug in sight, no dust. The bed was comfortable, pillow top. Satellite TV provided, lots of channels. Some stuff was new (tv, tables, fridge) and some old (chairs, carpet) but everything was clean. The toilet took a while to flush… All linens were clean. A/c worked fine. The breakfast was not the greatest. They had boiled eggs, cereal (frosted flakes and cheerios), frozen waffles (which were kept in a plastic Rubbermaid file drawer, the small ones they sell at Walmart), small banana nut muffins, white bread (toaster provided), instant oatmeal packets, hot chocolate packets, coffee, organic green tea, orange juice (tang? ), and milk. There was jelly (grape), buttery spread, sugar, creamer, salt, and pepper provided, all in individual packets form. The owner/operators were nice, they are Indian (south Asian, not native American) but absolutely no communication issues or awkwardness. Reasonably priced for the amenities provided ($70ish). The neighboring buildings were a church and an empty lot, felt relatively safe for the area. Was able to park right in front of room (outdoor corridors). If I had to stay over in Van horn again I would stay here.

Hotel was clean and bed was comfy. Owner was rude. She hung up on me the first time I called to make a reservation. I should have taken that as a clue rather than call back and spend my money there. She said she hung up because she was with a customer… guess I was just chopped liver. We would never go back.

Clean, convenient, and good value! Highly recommend!

I don't normally write reviews, but this hotel is outstanding. I've been travelling the US and this one is the best I've visited so far. Extremely good service and hospitable staff, all at an very reasonable price. Couldn't recommend it more if you need a hotel in the area.

Cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at! Every surface was spotless. Beds were very clean and comfy. They even had a cute little table in the room to eat at. Very reasonably priced as other hotels we paid $40+ more and they were not as well kept. Will stay here again if we come back this way.

This is an updated older motel with exterior doors and a functional pool. The room was very clean and had fresh looking paint and nice crown moldings. The room included a fridge, microwave and excellent air conditioner. The night staff was very nice and helpful when checking in. The day time staff left me wishing I passed this motel by. Getting extra towels for my children to take showers was like pulling teeth and prompted questions from the front desk lackie about how many people we had crammed in the little room that needed showers. After dealing with the red dot Indian wanna be Hitler we decided not to stay for the breakfast which was to come from a single waffle maker for all guest of the motel and juice, luckily many good options for a local breakfast are close by.

The room was very nice and so were the staff.

It's a hole in the wall but really clean. We were too tired to get to El Paso but most of the other hotels here were full. We just needed clean sheets for a few hours and we got it. Clean sheets clean bathroom ~ I'd stay again.

Got charged for my therapy dog… woman at desk wouldn't honor the price listed on their website…

We booked this hotel with my choice hotel point. when I got there at 12:30 am she told us she would not give us a room because we had a pet. She said they are pet friendly it was clear that they had rooms available. But would no honor the reservation they didn't even ask us to pay a pet fee she just said she would not give us the room.

Free breakfast isnt too good. But the owners are very nice. Quiet, clean, and reasonable for the location.

This is the third motel this week on our trip to Tucson az. This was the best. Extremely clean! Nothing fancy except for the crown molding, granite counters and fresh paint. Very reasonable price too.

The room was clean. But fridge was turned off and unplugged so it never got cold before we checked out. Had a good parking lot large enough for an RV or bus.

A nice place for a good price and the staff were very helpful when a favorite toy was accidentally left behind.

The room was nice. We actually forgot our son's baby doll and had to come back and they saved it for us. So we were super happy with them.

Clean & in good condition… good for the money.

Comfiest motel I ever slept in. After a long day of being on the road, it was nice to finally settle down for the night here.
