What a delightful place to stay! We chose Colombe d’Or for our Minimoon stay after our wedding recently and we were very impressed with the decor, museum, restaurant, and staff. Everyone was extremely accomodating, and the art was breathtaking, from Renoir to Van Gogh. The hotel was created in homage to the hotel of the same name in or near Paris, and is a converted Fondren mansion, a name with which all Houstonians ought to be familiar. Please keep doing what you’re doing here—the ambience is killer yet understated and not to be beaten!

My sure stay is La Colombe for all my Houston visits As a globltrotting attorney am a bit tired with the GRAND 5 Stars. Quaint Classy Quiet and personalized No Swimming pool no elevators Its like living in an art gallery in manor house.

AMAZING experience here. Our room wasn't available, so we were upgraded to a villa — WOW. Beautiful 2-story 1/1 with our own gated area, complete with full kitchen, living and dining rooms. Free parking and a restaurant and bar inside the hotel. Modern art adorns the property which is beautiful and well-landscaped.

We went here for one night. We thought it would be a little more elegant based on the online pictures. It is a little run down, but the rooms were clean.

The mansion is decorated beautifully however the music was horrible and did not match the decor it was very annoying as it was more Middle Eastern then relaxing five star restaurant quality music. To make things even worse the waiting staff are not professionally trained waiting staff, the manager reached over my food at least three times and almost put his arm cuff in my water. The food was not at all of to par, I ordered a medium rare steak and I gotta well done steak they took it back I got a new steak 15 minutes later that was rare. Just when I thought that things could not get worse the desert came out and it was horrible I could have went to a Landrys and had a much better meal then what I had it this place do not go there and waste your money, it is way overpriced for what you get.

This hotel in a mansion was lovely and comfy. The staff were nice. Everything was spotless. Our large room had seating and a dining room table.

We loved our stay at La Colombe d'Or Hotel. Check in was effortless, and the host was a charming older gentleman. The room has all the historic charm I love and AC. Every space is open and full of original art, and there's an art gallery. It was close to all the food places we wanted to go to.

La Colombre d'Or Hotel is a beautiful hotel. We were there to see Ben Jackson's Magic Show. The show was wonderful and we highly recommend it. We had a lot of fun.

Location is central to the Montrose neighborhood. There are six rooms, each named after a famous artist. Service was good.

Beautify small luxury hotel, with fantastic service, amazing food and great location. Rooms are generous and the decor complements perfectly the art displayed. Ask to tour the ballroom and the art gallery!

We were here for a private Dinner on the third floor. This restaurant is a class act. From the time you drive up to the valet, all is such Elegance. The food is great and the service is superb. One of our favorite places in Houston. We would also love to stay in one of their guest rooms one day. Really lovely and so beautiful during the Holidays. Fun to look at this Mansion and imagine what it must have been like to live there back in the day. If you have never been to this Restaurant, it's a must to see and experience this greatness!

The service was impeccable. It was the perfect place for a Birthday celebration, with a beautiful wine list and food that was perfectly prepared. My granddaughter was mesmerized by the beauty of the rooms, and took a tour of the upstairs. I highly recommend it.

Hands down my favorite hotel experience ever. The decor is amazing. You will get a lesson in art and history. The rooms are both elegant and enormous, and each one has original artwork. The restaraunt is wonderful. The staff is so accommodating you will want to move in. I came for work, but will come back for fun.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at la colombe dor. It was beyond our expectations. The hotel is beautiful with an art gallery. They surprised us with rose petals on the bed along with a chilled bottle of Champagne in our room. Dinner was very good and the selections of wine was exceptional! I just love that we could have quiet quaint conversation. Very intimate and romantic! I definitely would recommend!

Beautiful cozy mansion, wonderful bar and seating room. The restaurant looked pretty great, though we didn't get to eat there. The gallery upstairs has a wonderful collection.
