We had a wonderful time here. It’s located in the middle of downtown Austin conveniently connected to the convention center. Beautiful hotel. Rooms were very nice and the beds were great. The staff is exceptional. I would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel! 8th floor pool and patio are really nice! Rooms are nice and pool is heated. Plus, they have a bar in the pool area and the bartender was great! We had a room that came with breakfast. The check-in guy said he would bring us our meal vouchers and put them under our door, but we never got them. We asked the next day and got them. Overall, the hotel is super nice and in a great location downtown! The restaurant in the hotel, Cannon and Belle, on the other hand was a horrible experience! Here is our experience: We are here and have waited over an hour and still waiting for food! It took 20 mins for someone to bring us drinks! Very slow! Do not recommend! It came with the purchase of our room upgrade at the Hilton, but we will just pay to go somewhere else for meals! UPDATE: we just left after we still never got our food! The excuse was a computer problem! However, it wasn’t a computer problem for it to take 20 mins to greet us and take our drink order! NEVER AGAIN! On top of it, we never even got an apology!

$42 parking with only valet option? Thought I was getting a decent deal on a room until I pulled up. Valet then places wrong ID tag on my keys making it a delayed departure from hotel. Guys were friendly enough, but very frustrating to get somewhere and realize that your car costs 1/3rd of what the hotel room does.

I loved my room. Large livingroom, large standalone tub, large two headed shower, and very nice bedroom with large windows. The bad; the pool was extremely small and the waterfall feature was broken our entire stay. Parking is very expensive (I parked on the street) and the outside grounds could be cleaned up and renovated.

Location is good, but full of homeless people at night asking for money.
Price is High compared with what the hotel really offers. Tiny swimming Pool and everybody at the lobby can see you swimming or relaxing in the Pool area. Hotel doesn't include breakfast nor parking in the price. And a 42 U$D for park and 20 U$D for breakfast is too expensive. Hotel concierges are not nice enough and they looked like they are always busy. Gym is small. Wouldn't reccommended unless you have a good deal in terms of pricing.

Haven't stayed there before yet but I bet it's a really nice spot to be. I have seen it and been around there. Last hotel I stayed at was Americas Best value University Inn last month. As for anywhere you go, just beware of your surroundings.

Nice hotel when you get inside. Location is right next to the highway, and a bit out of the main area, so you will be walking. Staff was pleasant although my door didn't really lock properly. I called the desk and they sent someone up right away, at 10p. M. He said I would just have to deal til morning, then it could be fixed. Was never fixed during my 2 night stay.

I had a great experience of staying here. It's located in a wonderful position! The staff are so nice. Also, I forgot to take my two slippers in the hotel. A lady receptionist helped me found them. I really appreciate that!

Very accessible and easy to find in downtown Austin. It's just off of 35. Staff are friendly although they don't know the area that much. Hotel is in great location and has lots of restaurants close by. Valet parking is $45 a night. Hotel is a little bit worn. The rooms are ok and does the job.

Beautiful hotel, nicely apportioned and well maintained. Staff is very courteous and helpful. I will stay here again. My only complaint is that $42 per day for valet parking was a brutal surprise, but there weren't any better options nearby. That being said, the valet attendants were great.

Don’t let the outside of the building fool you, the rooms are nice and modern. Staff was all friendly. Only complaint I had was there were no thick shades to cover the window. Most hotels have the one shade that is semi translucent and then another that is thick and completely block any light, my room didn’t have the thick one, and it’s not like there was a place for it and the actual blind was just missing, they aren’t meant to have them, so if you are planning to sleep in I would check with the hotel first to see if the have any rooms that do have them.

At 1st glance I thought the place was cool for what it was … then I started to realize that there was no in room breakfast… no spa Facilities… and the staff never answered the phone so I couldn't order my lunch or dinner or anything for room service! I had to go down to the front desk I'll never stay there again!

Amazing customer service. The gentleman who worked last night and is on at reception right now is one of the nicest people I have met at a reception desk. I'm so impressed I'm actually booking the Hilton in Augusta Maine as we go to Augusta Maine constantly to see family! His customer service and professionalism was so amazing I will book with you all the time going forward! Thank you!

This place was very fun and convenient. It's a good location with really nice views. The room itself was great and we both had a restful nights sleep. The hotel bar was also pretty good and stayed open very late. The only downside is the bathroom which is pretty small, didn't have a hand held shower head, and was fogging up instantly. Other than that, great place!

Nice and clean, as every Hilton I’ve ever been to. No self parking and the bar/restaurant on the top floor could have been better. Location is very good, right next to I35 for easy access and only a few blocks from all the restaurants and bars that downtown Austin has to offer. 5min walk to convention center.

Was here for a conference. Everything was very well done. Clean conference rooms and ballroom. Professional and helpful staff all around.

Staff was exceptional and deserves 6 stars. Hotel itself has an odd layout and seems like it could use some renovations. Valet parking is $36 per day. Close to bars and restaurants, including some unique spots. Walking distance from State Capitol.

Our stay has been great… I'm not terrible pleased with the fact that parking is about $35 per day. If you're here though, you have to try the cookies in the lobby! They put them out at 5 pm every day.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Centrally located near downtown. No self parking, valet only. Nice friendly attentive staff. 24 hour fitness center.

Not bad, but not great. I had to switch rooms because the first smelled like cigarette smoke covered up with air freshener. The second room didn't have that problem. The location is right next to the freeway so some rooms might get that noise. The layout has a large interior courtyard. The restaurant is ok, but service is a little slow. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful.

This seems to be an older hotel that has been refurbished, or is still being updated. You could tell the tubs and other fixtures were worn but the rooms themselves were fresh and fairly new. Our room overlooked 6th Street so that was interesting… Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was excellent, and the little food shop in the lobby was well stocked and immaculate. The staff was friendly and helpful and overall we enjoyed our stay quite a bit. My only complaint is the pillows! They are so flimsy and soft that my wife and I couldn't get comfortable and I ended up with sore neck muscles in the morning. All in all, for the price, I'd stay again.

Nice, quiet &confortable room for families. Great breakfast buffet until 10am at floor 19, great Capitol view since there, great omelet. Great customer service. There is Microwave/iron/mini fridge Secure box. Cons: Use valet parking or park in the street. Park near lobby just 15mins while you register and rush to grab your things, the valets will be watching you. There is no air extractor in the restroom. 8

This hotel is a little dated in some areas, but the rooms are large and clean and it's just a short walk to the convention center. The elevators in particular seemed like they could use an update. The breakfast on offer was pretty good, with fresh eggs to compliment the usual breakfast bar options, and the upstairs bar made a very nice, if slightly pricey, Manhattan. I would definitely consider staying here again if I were to return to Austin.

Would have appreciated the heads up the room key card was needed to select the floor in the elevator, that was a ride until I saw others using the card… I just had figure the button light wasn't working. But aside from that outstanding location, clean lobby, comfortable rooms. Would advise others to consider this hotel for their next Austin stay.

Clean, quiet rooms despite being close to highway. Short ready walk to downtown. Excellent breakfast, really nice and helpful staff. Public areas, especially elevators a bit tied and worn. Expensive valet parking, no self park hence only 4 stars. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel. Easy to walk from to 6th street and work your way up and back down the strip. Close to many great restaurants, although it has its own along with many other accommodations in house. Both downtown Hilton's are nice. Since they've remodeled, have enjoyed this smaller garden inn more, especially the upper few floors. Less of a convention feel, and love Easy Tiger next door which has fun crowd and innovative salads, sausages, wine & beer in the evening and espresso and in house made patries in morning. Only downside is the homeless population which sleeps under nearby overpass, and the failure of Austin to better maintain its riverwalk which the hotel backs up to. Best views, least freeway noise on west and north sides, and higher floors.

I took my daughter there for a casting call and the staff greeted us immediately and asked if that was what we were there for. They then provided us with detailed information on how to get to where we were going within the hotel. The place looked beautiful, modern decor and very clean, and top notch staff.

Staying here for four nights while I attend a conference at the convention center. This was the most affordable of the main hotels surrounding the convention center. That being considered, it's a decent hotel. Room was pretty standard with a comfortable bed. I had dinner one night at the restaurant on the top floor and was very happy with the meal (I had the burger). The pool is okay but pretty small so only good for wading in. Definitely the place to stay if you're visiting the convention center and don't want to spend twice as much on one of the other hotels.

This property is so well located. It is my favorite choice whenever we have need to be in Austin. With easy access from I35 and being so close to the capitol, UT, the stadium, and all of the nightlife on 6th Street, you can't go wrong. The hotel is well maintained and is very clean. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable.

On behalf of my colleagues, I would like to share our experience during our stay for TASN 2016 Annual Conference, June 19-22. Our room was equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. The next morning we enjoyed cooked-to-order breakfast by Maria, which was served excellently. The hotel also has a fitness center and nice outdoor pool. Fortunately, it's only an 8 minute walk to and from the Austin Convention center. Afterwards, we were greeted with assorted, flavored water stationed at the front desk. Thanks to Kathleen Lazaro, my colleague was provided with a scooter. Friend. Arvin Fulo also gladly accommodated us to all on one floor so all my colleagues and I would be next to each other. We look forward to the next convention.

Well let's talk about it… Pros — 1. Staff is very courteous 2. It's right next to 6th street and around the corner form a snow cone stand which my kids loved and lots of things to do 3. Room was okay sized Cons: (Deep breath) they are remodeling, which is a good thing but the POOL IS CLOSED!? It's 80 degrees and they aren't remodeling it… this broke my littles hearts! We walked to the Raddison… prob solved… 2. The tv… No pay per view? One HBO and no other premium channel? A lot of the other channels were too staticky to watch. 3. Pillows-terrible 4 This hotel is right off if I-35 so every fire truck and ambulance you will hear. 5 You have to Valet park @ $30/night. Overview: If you're looking for just a place to crash after a night of debauchary then maybe this is your place? Me-Never again… nope… the regular Hilton or Marriot is close by — go there!

Stayed on 11th floor nice view. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bed and room were well cleaned. Mandatory valet is a bit pricey, 32 or so bucks…

The rooms are. Very small. Everything appears to be just a few inches shy of the absolute minimum. For instance, the bathroom door, when open, nearly hits the toilet and there's no way to shut the door without sidestepping around it. My specific room had broken dresser drawers, and for some reason, the work desk has no phone on it. Just an overall poor room design.

The rooms deserve to be refreshed, but the location is perfect and the breakfast room on the top floor, with omelet cooked on demand make up for it largely. Very good business stay for me…

There were a lot of little things that made our stay here very unpleasant; things that I wouldn't complain about in a $80 motel, but for a $200 Hilton room it was surprising. The valet was irritating, mostly because I would rather have access to my vehicle without having to pay to wait in line for someone to go get it. We were part of a wedding party booked long in advance, but we were all placed in rooms far away from one another. The pillows were garbage; I've had better in shady, run-down motels, and the things destroyed my neck. Finally, the bar was supposed to stay open until 2 a. M. But shut down at midnight, which completely ruined our wedding after-party (which was the whole reason we were even staying there). The room at least was decent sized, well furnished, and had a fridge. Besides the bar tender, the people were mostly polite, that's about the only positives I could think of.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights to attend a conference on March 1 and 2 and paid about $275/night. The room and furniture is outdated with dirty dark brown carpet, fume of detergent and disinfectant hits you as you enter the room. Also outdated bathroom. The bed and sheets were clean but hey this is expected for almost a $300/night hotel. I would not stay in this place again, try airbnb or stay a friend and buy him/her a $300 gift certificate. these type of establishments do not deserve to stay in business. The staff and reception are nice.

The rooms are very large and have an excellent view of Austin. The location is good, located between 5th and 6th Street beside I-35, it is both easy to get to, and walking distance to many sights. Overall a great place to stay.

The hotel was very clean. The single king bed rooms all have interior windows into the atrium, with no exterior windows. If you want to see outside, you need a room with two beds. Lots of space in the rooms, themselves. Some hotel rooms are way too cramped, these ones are not at all.

A very good atmosphere, people are very friendly. I was there for business and the location was prefect. I received very good customer service at the front desk, fast check-in. The rooms are very clean had everything I expected. Valet parking was very convenient and the valet staff they were awesome very nice and very had good team work really kept things moving, no waiting.

Just needed a place to crash for one night in Austin. Usually go to this hotel when we go up to Austin because the rooms are very reasonably priced and the location is walking distance to 6th St. I've stayed at this hotel multiple times and never had a complaint.

Service was great, rooms are clean. I really only have 2 complaints. It's kinda expensive rooms and valet is $30 and it's mandatory. Didn't know that. It's right off 6th street so it's worth it.

The rooms are ok and that's not the reason I'm giving this place a 1 star review. The valets are the reason I am giving this place a 1 star. The valet parking is up the ramp in the same building as the hotel, so in theory, the drive should be quick and easy for the valets, right? Well when I got my car back I didn't notice right away, but two personal items in my car were broken or damaged, one being my keys, and the other being a gift that I got that was hanging on my rear view mirror that was broken and stuffed back to make it look like nothing happened. I called and talked to Jake, who didn't take responsibility and just forwarded me to his supervisor Mark, who also couldn't do anything about it, who then just forwarded me to his manager. Point is, nothing was done about the personal items I had in my car that shouldn't even be touched, that were mysteriously broken between the time I dropped my car off and the time I picked it up. You'd think for $30/night for valet parking that you'd get at least minimally decent valet service. Stay away from this place.

Read the reviews. The GM says "Dear… thank you for your feedback. I am sorry we did not give you the quality of service you deserve. They say it over, and over and over again. Never with any satisfaction to the person citing problems. That says it all…

Even though they own the parking garage above their lobby, and it is presumably parking only with hotel guests, they still charge you a mandatory $30 overnight valet fee. Which you of course have no option but to pay. I wouldn't mind paying it as much if they rolled that into the price of the room. Hey I'd actually tip the poor valet guys in that case. Cleaning staff is good. And they were nice when I asked them for things Front desk is detached, but wouldn't call them rude. Hotel was full of drunk people when we checked in. View was pretty good from our room.

I stayed here and accidentally left my nice watch in my room when I had to check out early for work. I called the hotel multiple times and left messages but no one ever answered my call or returned my call… or nice watch : (

I am trying to reach the hotel to ask them if they can keep a package from Friday till Sunday, when my colleagues arrive for a trade show. But no, there is no one on the phone. It is 9:30 am in Austin, but neither of the options (press O for an operator, press 1 to make a reservation, press 2 to change a reservation) bring anything other then "this number is busy, call another time". Bad customer service.

Found the rooms to be adequate. It was clean, had comfortable beds — but lumpy pillows. Liked the shampoo and soap. What I didn't like was the random valet charge when I didn't have a car there. Charge was hidden in the bill and I might have easily missed it. So I had to have them fix it before leaving instead of an easy check out. My roommate checked out the day before and told them to fix it. Then, days later, they charged me a no show charge and added my roommates portion of the bill (which she already paid) on to my card. Still waiting for accounting to call back. It has been a couple of hours — really, you have so many problems you can't call back? — — took a little longer — maybe 3 hours, but problem with the extra charges reversed.

I've been trying to find a public bar with a skyline view in Austin and I think 18th over Austin (on the 18th floor) is the only one. The decor is nothing to brag about but the room is banquet size and you can almost see 180 degrees from i-35 sweeping west and then south towards Cesar Chavez.

I stayed here because the event I was attending was here. I wouldn't recommend it. Although the location is great — right beside 6th street, the cleanliness has issues. Used soap was left on the vanity — you could see the dirt in the etching. A colleague at the event had lipstick on her coffee cup. Also be aware that there are no safes in the rooms, so if you have personal valuables, they have to go with you or you have to designate no maid service.

Don't stay here at all. Not only do they keep charging your card days later valet steals your stuff out of your car. Called back and was told by Derrick the Valet manager that I was out of luck since I can't prove that it was in my car. Take everything out of your car and pay with cash.

Hilton Honor member with over 250K in points, mattress was hard as a rock, they like to charge you for water after your first 2 free ones at check in, found a womans shirt behind the waste basket, valet service is priced too high for what you can get down the street at the Hilton, when everything else is booked and this is the only location with rooms this should raise a red flag.

We stayed here after my son's wedding last year. The parking staff were oblivious when there was a huge issue with a car blocking everyone else and our room was warm and humid. Very uncomfortable! I wish we hadn't decided to 'splurge' for the occasion and just went to the less expensive hotel choice.

Do no stay here. This hotel has a mandatory valet yet assumes no responsibility for their valet attendants. I noticed a car charger had gone missing from my car during my stay. When I tried to file a complaint I was literally laughed at by their Valet Director Evan. He claimed that 99% of the time the missing items were the guest's fault and he was "already going above and beyond" by talking to me in the first place. His staff "handles thousands of cars a day" so it couldn't have been one of them. Excuse me sir, but if that's true then why claim 99% instead of 100%? Faulty logic if you ask me. While I was trying to get some kind of reimbursement out of him he chuckled to himself and stated, "it was only a car charger sir". I understand a $30 car charger is small pittance to the Hilton, however if the goal is encouraging guests to return that is a pretty poor way to accomplish it. I had read poor reviews about this hotel but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt anyways. Don't make the same mistake I did. Oh and Mr. Doran before you reply to this asking to give your hotel another shot as I've seen you do countless times already on Google Reviews, just know that that is NOT going to happen until this is rectified. Also consider why exactly you must spend so much time writing apologies to your former guests. *EDIT* Despite assurances that this matter would be "resolved 100% today", as of this post I have yet to hear from Mr. Doran or Mr. Adams regarding reimbursement.

I attended a Women's Conference at this hotel and was completely suprised that the only form of parking is Valet. I needed to run some errands at lunch for the conference and to my suprise again there are no in and out privileges with the valet! I was late for the second half of the conference since I had to walk to the post office.

$397.00 per night plus $30. For parking! the room was not a $400 a night room in my opinion, wall paper was peeling, mildew in the tub, rusted screws in the ceiling and looked directly into an apartment building (meaning no view) and couldn't open curtains with any expectation of privacy on the 14th floor! I am a Diamond member and would not recommend this location. I was on a "be our guest stay" and wow what a difference, the staff was rude to me and still tried to charge me for the one night, I cancelled my second night and opted for a much upgraded Motel 6! OK, I went to a Hampton Inn but it was cleaner and friendlier. I spoke directly to the person who claimed to be the Manager, she was actually "Guest Services Supervisor" and confessed they messed up my stay but offered no resolution. Left a message for GM, still have not heard back from him.
