Nice hotel! 8th floor pool and patio are really nice! Rooms are nice and pool is heated. Plus, they have a bar in the pool area and the bartender was great! We had a room that came with breakfast. The check-in guy said he would bring us our meal vouchers and put them under our door, but we never got them. We asked the next day and got them. Overall, the hotel is super nice and in a great location downtown! The restaurant in the hotel, Cannon and Belle, on the other hand was a horrible experience! Here is our experience: We are here and have waited over an hour and still waiting for food! It took 20 mins for someone to bring us drinks! Very slow! Do not recommend! It came with the purchase of our room upgrade at the Hilton, but we will just pay to go somewhere else for meals! UPDATE: we just left after we still never got our food! The excuse was a computer problem! However, it wasn’t a computer problem for it to take 20 mins to greet us and take our drink order! NEVER AGAIN! On top of it, we never even got an apology!

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was nice, had a great view and one of the best gyms I’ve seen in a hotel. Although times have changed, they had prepacked (healthy) food options which I really appreciated.

Excellent, food location really love it.

Rooms are just ok, no big tubs or nice amenities, not even robes. I’ve stayed in many many “4 star hotels” and this doesn’t even compare to those. No room service even with Corona going on and all restaurants closed. No disclosure that parking is $37.99 and when I talked to them they said it should be included in reservation information (it wasn’t) and I was not told about it upon check in nor did I see any paperwork stating the Parking fee. Very poor service and rooms are mediocre. Will NOT stay here ever again and do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else that doesn’t gouge on hidden fees that were never disclosed.

Truthfully, I had an issue with the Spa that had NOTHING to do with the excellent services my daughter-in-law, cousin and I experienced there. That being said, they are a true class act and immediately reached out to resolve the issue with me. A couple of days ago I was less than pleased; today I take my hat off to them and their management team! Thank you!

Great location, Starbucks in the lobby, very close, only one block to Sixth Street.

We visited during Labor Day weekend and were blown away by the customer service, especially since it was such a busy weekend. One person who stood out was Jeremy at the front desk. He went above and beyond to make us feel special and made sure we had an exceptional experience in Austin. Will definitely come back and have already told friends to ask for Jeremy.

Very nice hotel! Staff is very courteous and helpful. The room was quiet and clean. We were able to check in earlier with no hassle. The parking is a little pricey but overall it was a great experience.

What a perfect anniversary experience! Many thanks to our friends at Hilton Austin for yet another exceptional time! From Tom, the Bell Captain, to Diana who checked us in — we could not have asked for a better, more fun weekend! At 6:50 p. M. On Friday evening, Tom got us reservations at 7 p. M. At Eddie V's. Who can do that? Thank you again for a fantastic time!

Finding the hotel was pretty simple. Ample parking, but be prepared to pay for it. I was there to attend a function, so I can't speak on amenities or the rooms themselves. The overall appearance and atmosphere, however were very nice. The hotel had access to a local taco restaurant accessible from the outside and a really nice bar as well.

Hilton is a beautiful hotel. I love the stores and restaurants that it has inside. I also love how close it is to so many things I've wanted to visit. The staff is super friendly. I'm mainly here for RTX at the Austin Convention Center and it's right across the street which is perfect! However, it's really expensive, and I don't know if it should cost as much as it does, especially since I'm really there just to sleep.

This place is great! Friendly, helpful employees; Clean, comfortable room. The only thing that bothers me is that there is no blow dryer in the bathroom; I didn’t bring mine because hotels always have one!

Great Hotel. Location is prime. Check in was easy and they allowed requests for floor, room type, floor. Great views of the city. Upon driving in, the valet was great! Immediately walked up to car, got us a cart to put all our luggage and after check in brought all luggage to room and unloaded for us. Pleasant staff, clean rooms, nice pool and great views!

We were disappointed in our stay here. Normally Hilton hotels and employees exceed our expectations but not this time. Upon check-in I was not recognized as an Honors Club member which is highly unusual. The desk attendant seemed rushed and slightly annoyed. We had restaurant staff directly make a comment to us about the family they seated ahead of us, in our opinion it wasn’t warranted and even if it was, we weren’t the right audience for her comments. And, even though I gave a different credit card at check in, they did not charge my personal card and now I have to deal with getting credit issued to my company card. I also did not get my emailed receipt after checkout yesterday. I know good customer service can be challenging at times, but if you don’t do it, someone else will.

This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had! The entire staff was very rude and in my opinion lazy. The valet refused to let us park our small trailer in the under ground garage and then as we were trying to remove our bags from the truck he kept telling us to move the vehicle. He never once offered to help with the bags and or open the door as I was struggling to get the luggage inside. After my husband found an alternative place to park the trailer we noticed that there were tons of trailers parked in the under ground garage. Upon check in as my husband was searching for place to park the trailer they refused to check me in because the reservation was in my husbands name. We have the same last name and I even had printed copies of reservations. The front desk assistant-Jeremy was extremely rude and then insisted he talk to my husband for approval. He made me text him the main number so that he could contact him for approval and refused to speak with him on my cell phone. Seriously didn’t see the difference of him calling the main number or him just talking to him on my cell phone? To top it off the bartender literally refused to get us a water because he said he was just too busy? I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. Downtown Austin is full of wonderful hotels and this one is not worth the frustrations.

Very clean. Very kind staff. The valet gave my dog a treat and just fawned over him (not unusual for a corgi). The flavored water was refreshing. The restroom was clean. Wonderful experience.

My family and I were visiting a guest of the hotel who was presenting at the conference. We visited in the lobby for a few hours. The hotel was dog friendly. He restroom and lobby were in great shape. There were complimentary fruit infused water and snacks in the late afternoon. We were not guests of the hotel.

Stayed here on business trip. Event was held in Austin Convention Center, which is 1 minute walking distance. The room was very clean, and the concierge was friendly and helpful. Decent size Starbucks on site, and live music on first floor bar (selective nights). The only down side is the traffic around the hotel, but that's just Austin Downtown, it's the way it is. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel. Lives up to the Hilton name and is literally across the street from the convention center, so is super convenient! It's also in close walking distance to many good restaurants as well as it has a great little taco spot attached to it that had great drinks and great tacos! The layout was very nice as well. We received a free upgrade to a VERY nice and spacioud suite while there just for being Hilton honors members!

I attended a large conference that was held here and the hotel staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. The check in desk staff even wore our conference tshirts to welcome us. The room was clean and had a great view. When my friend left her portable speaker behind they shipped it to her for free! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Horrible service. Decent location. Stay at one of the other four-star properties in the area, this one feels like a Holiday Inn (which would be a better option! ). When we made our reservations, we requested extra pillows and an extra box of kleenex. When we checked in, we asked the front desk to confirm with housekeeping that our requests were fulfilled. Two hours later, we called down to request the items again, then they arrived an hour after that. No apologies. Also, there is not one king bed pillow in the entire hotel. How does a hotel have hundreds of king beds and not one king pillow? And their pillows are smaller than average. It’s weird and just another reason not to stay here.

This was my first stay at the Hilton Austin and my experience was awesome. The staff was very helpful, attentive and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean and the view of downtown Austin was wonderful. The restaurants on site provided room service. When I checked out I needed to get to the airport quickly and the concierge offered to take me there in the VIP sedan. I have had many good experiences at Hilton hotels in the past, but this by far was the best. They exceeded all of my expectations and I will stay there again when I return to Austin TX.

Very nice and modern place. Rooms are spacious, and people are friendly. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they charge you to park. You don't have any options to park any other place around the hotel. So it's a nice racket the hotel has going for themselves. You would think that if you stayed at the hotel you wouldn't get charged.

Best hotel I have ever stayed at! The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. The property is clean and well kept. I loved the location in the heart of the city. I would recommend staying here to anyone that wants to fully enjoy Austin while feeling at home.

Hilton used to be an exclusive brand offering high end service. The exquisite paper cups, just above the empty (and noisy) mini fridge, and just below the microwave made my bottle of wine taste that much better when making a romantic getaway with my wife. When I called for some proper glasses the receptionist said they could provide me nicer plastic cups or I could walk to the nearest restaurant. The neighbor guests partied until 4am, but that’s not the Hilton’s fault, just thin walls. If you’re a Honors member you get 2 free plastic water bottles when you arrive. It’s not the JW Marriot, but honestly for the price we could have done much better in the Hostel next door. Tips for Hilton: Provide a better experience for Honors members, stock the fridge and the shelves with wares that match the price range. Offer breakfast, a pillow mint, or something that doesn’t come tacked with a up-charge. I read the Chinese are selling their 1/4 ownership in the Hotel, that money will give the company deeper pockets or provide guests with a better experience. You decide.

I enjoyed my day trip to Austin. Hotel was so pleasant. The hotels leave a bit to be desired, but I love their partnership with Peter Thomas Roth bath products. The lotion is my fav. Great music and social events to get you involved with the Austin buzz.

Durant's ultimate defender Google Cloud Conference that was held at the Hilton, I had the opportunity to enjoy the view of the conference room, the cleanliness and attention to detail of the place. I recommend it.

Staff is friendly. Very nice lobby with lemon water for everyone. They have a Starbucks & a UPS store both located right off of the lobby. The Skyline Health club & spa located on the 8th floor was my destination. It has a nice workout facility, salt water pool, hot tub plus a full service spa w massage and facials available 8am to 8pm. The only downside is that it's difficult to figure out where to park your car. They do have an on-site parking garage. The entrance is on the other side of the block on Red River street.

All the conference rooms at the Hilton are big enough for any event. The staff is friendly and they all seem to enjoy their job. I had a great experience here during SXSW 2018.

This review is for the Taco eatery connected to the hotel. The menu is a modern take on Latino classics. Attention to detail can be seen throughout the entire establishment. From lighting to silverware to the interesting takes on traditional items. The staff is A+! Knowledgeable, courteous, dapper AF. Will definitely be going back.

The Hilton here in Austin has been one of the best hotel experiences I've had in some time. The location of the hotel is great, directly by the convention center and surrounded by delicious local food options. 6th street offers plenty of nightlife for those looking for that, and there are plenty of other options including an escape room. The hotel staff are extremely polite and helpful, looking to assist you with anything you might need during the stay. The rooms are clean with plenty of space and the beds and pillows are quite comfy. Overall, would stay again.

Great modern hotel with fantastic staff! We stay here every time we are in Austin, the accommodations are always high quality, spacious rooms, clean, and beautiful views of the city. The rooftop pool is on the small side but we LOVE that it is salt water instead if chlorine, and there is plenty of space to lounge in the reclining chairs around the pool. Staff is always welcoming and thankful for our loyalty. Great location in the city right near 6th Street which is always buzzing at night with live music. We love the master control for the lights and thermostat on the side table. Always happy with our stay here!

Hotel is awesome! Updated with modern comforts and helpful staff. Had a problem with the lights in my room. Told the front desk and they sent someone up to fix it right away. Friendly staff and and all around a great hotel for the price! Highly recommend.

The staff was very friendly, I went Christmas Day an it was decorated so beautiful… I enjoyed the lil extra things like not having to get out the bed to adjust the temperature or turn on the lights. The room was very clean an comfortable, the breakfast was delicious pancakes melt in your mouth. I would stay again an recommend it to my family an friends.

I can't say enough great things about this hotel. The staff were always so kind and cheerful throughout our stay. Stayed here for my husband's company Christmas party. Our room was located on the 15th floor. Had a beautiful view of downtown at night. Within walking distance to the bars and restaurants. I wasn't fond of the bedding. The sheets were paper thin and stiff, the so called blanket was too noisy for me and was not soft. The pillows way too fluffy: feathers. The bathroom was nice and modern, the shower felt wonderful. Not sure what the price range was as the company paid for it, but I'm sure it's a pretty penny per night and depending on what room type you want. Parking is $30 per night. Pets are allowed. Just use caution when walking your dog in the lobby if there are other dogs around. When we checked in there was almost a fight between 3 small dogs. Overall it seemed like a very nice, romantic place to stay.

Nice recently remodeled rooms (except the carpet) with nice views of the city. The room smelled a little stale when I first walked in, but the smell went away once the ac got going. Quality work out equipment with a steam room and sauna! One of the best gyms I've seen at a hotel. The customer service was nice and they were able to accommodate my room requests. There isn't free breakfast, but there is a star bucks.

Great rooms, location and amenities From check in to check out you feel welcome as a guest. The spa is also a great touch. What a cool idea to allow guests to use the facilities even if you don't have a service scheduled. Most people will want to once they see there are so many specials (like the $20 discount off of services from Wednesday to Friday during happy hour).

I had the time of my LIFE! The only bad part was the valet made it seem like they only work for a huge fee, it would've been nice if they explained. It was gorgeous the check in girl and the cleanliness was amazing! The room service and the LOCATION made it so PERFECT and for such an affordable cost! No doubt I will never stay at another hotel in Austin EXCEPT THIS ONE!

Me, my boyfriend and my friend went out to Austin for classic game fest. This hotel was so close to coffee shops, juice bars, bars, etc. We spent our night's walking around Austin and it was the best time I have ever had. The hotel itself is super clean, comfortable, free breakfast, and they have a pool and gym! They even have a beautiful Starbucks! I would totally book another room from here when I revisit. It was just wonderful. Everything a vacation should be.

I’ve stayed plenty of places that claim their mission is to provide exceptional service and the Hilton Austin has been the best example of that mission. I stayed for three nights and had an issue the first night. When I explained the issue and what I hoped my resolution would be the staff did not hesitate or offer excuses. They acknowledged my request and worked to make it right. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. Would stay again in traveling in town.

The stay was fairly comfortable. We had excellent service and attentiveness from the staff who was very friendly but not overbearing. The amenities were as expected of a 4 star hotel. The reason for the three star rating was the temperature in the room. It was warm for a Texas room and we didn't have a lot of control over the in room temperature. We were reached out to by the staff and were asked how our stay was going, which was quite nice, at which point we informed them of the in room temperature however, the issue was not resolved. Overall, I can't give this hotel a bad rating but I dropped a star due to this fact.

The hotel is very well located in the heart of the city centre, close to several restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The room is clean, comfortable and elegantly decorated. The service is exceptional. I would definitely recommend!

This hotel appeared to have been an older building that has had renovations to the lobby and the rooms. The rooms are average sized but completely remodeled. There is a mini refrigerator which is a bonus. Overall I give the room a solid 8.5. All of my interactions with staff has been outstanding. They're on-site bar is decent quality. Their in-house restaurant is under construction at this point.

The place we very nice, modern and well kept. I slept fairly well. The building could use a bit more sound proofing though. I was on the 19th floor and could hear the muffled sound of music on 6th. Also slamming doors woke me a few times in the night. I think the latter was a combination of late nighters coming in and a need for better noise reduction. I'd recommend Hilton invest in white noise generators.

Great place with a fitness room has the floor. Some steps from 6th street, a french restaurant and the park along the Lake and the river.

Note: I didn't stay here as a guest but did attend a weekend conference here (stay at the Residence Inn next door for a better place for same price, or the Four Seasons for a much better place at same price if you have a group rate, 2x as much if not. Though 4S is a bit of a walk, you're on the river and if you can get a S facing room you can watching the Congress Bridge bat emergence nightly). Anyway, The multimedia support at the Hilton was very good, with bright screens, loud sound, and clear microphones. Staff was very good. Meals served were pretty meh. The layout was questionable at times, like the photo area being set up with Sun in the background. For an annual conference you'd think they would have figured some of that stuff out. The free Wi-Fi was okay, about as crappy as all the other downtown Austin hotels I've been too. The place is hugeeee, so space should not be a problem for hundreds of attendees. Pretty good overall as far as conference locations go.

Although the parking garage has ALOT if spaces, it's old and compact. Be careful when going around the corners if you have a large vehicle, sometimes one car will have to wait for the other in order to turn. The view from my room is absolutely gorgeous. I have a great view of the caption and downtown. The rooms are nice, and the bed is comfortable, but the pillows are too soft. Everyone at the hotel have been very nice and accommodating. If I were to stay here again, I would stay in the executive area where there is access to cold/hot beverages and other foods through out the day.

Hiltons in general are never as accommodating as Marriotts but while the rooms are nice here, the service is poor. I didn't get my water bottles, which cost them all of a $1 to provide, both times I checked in. They tore my receipt in half instead of providing a 2nd one for my room service (that should be fun to expense). My omelet was super salty and took 50 min to be delivered. The 2nd time I checked in it was 2am because my flight was canceled after 7 hours. Normally at Marriotts I can request lake checkout and here they wouldn't let me. Basically Hilton had a chance to make a not-so-awesome trip better with the little things and they didn't even do that.

Booking more than 1 room is like trying to play "who's on third? ". Every time I spoke to someone on the phone they took a simple process ("I need 5 rooms for ____ dates") and made it insanely confusing. They also screwed up my reservation request. When I later called back to add an additional room to the reservation I realized that they had reserved one room less than I had previously intended. At this point they told me there was nothing they could do. I then called back and tried to speak to a manager and after only repeating my previous reservations back to me 8 different ways (yes I know what you are saying my reservation is at this point, you do not need to re-repeat yourself! ) they were able to somewhat help but at the cost of an additional $150 per night for a room I had previously reserved. Ahhhh. I wanted to pull my hair out every time after talking to Hilton's representatives on the phone! I RECOMMEND STAYING SOMEWHERE THAT HAS CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT CAN: 1. Understand simple booking requests 2. Accomodate simple booking requests 3. Not make errors regarding simple booking requests 4 actually assist you to correct booking errors they made and not overcharge you in doing so.

I was here for the 2016 OpenStack Summit, and found the Hilton to be the ideal location to attend the conference from. Most sessions were at the convention center directly across the street, but some sessions were in the Hilton meeting facilities. Both for the meetings and my room the Hilton provided a first class environment and were attentive to any and all needs for those of us visiting. Highly recommend the Hilton if you are in Austin for an event.

Amazing location. One block from the main strip for night life and food. Hotel was amazing with great views of the city. I also love the new feature of using the app as your room key. I highly recommend this place.

I have never been treated the way the hotel staff treated me during my stay. Everything was state of the art and clean. I wasn't able to get into my room until 2 hours late, but the hotel staff made my wait very satisfying and took care of all of my needs. The hotel gave me free room service and a voucher for a free 1-hour massage because they felt bad about my wait. I was very pleased with everything about this hotel.

Self Parking was full on arrival, this was discovered after 20 minutes of driving to dead ends in a tight garage. Finally decided to valet which was no less of a hassle. Once inside there was a wait to check in. (At 1045pm) I used mobile check in but did not receive a room. The front desk staff took a few minutes to figure out how to assign room after mobile check in was used but no room assigned. Next was dropping my bags in my room, except the elevator would not access my floor. I went back to the front desk because I thought it was my key not working in the elevator as there is a sign that says key is needed at night. Once finally getting back to the front of line I found out the elevator doesn't need a key but the elevator buttons are broken in some elevators so if I had to wait for a elevator that works to arrive. After dropping my bags I went out for the night. I made a huge mistake by not putting the do not disturb sign out. This hotel has no way to tell when you checked out so the maids will just start knocking on the door at 8am and do it every 30 minutes until you are fed up. I stay in hotels 200 plus nights a year and have never had a maid knock on my door at 8am even without using the do not disturb sign. Hotels especially modern ones such as this Hilton normally have a system that informs housekeeping when someone has checked out. This hotel clearly doesn't have or use that system. Avoid this place at all cost, there are much better options in Austin.

Had a weekend stay at this hotel. Very nice & clean. Close to lots of bars/restaurants so that was convenient. I forgot something in my room & called them days after I had left and they sent it to me free of charge :)

Stayed here for a conference over a weekend. The rooms were nice and clean. The ballroom and pool was great. All of the staff members seemed nice and were very helpful. It was a good hotel.

Just got back from a weekend in Austin, this hotel was amazing! Walking distance from everything we wanted to do, but most importantly excellent customer service. Checked in with us to see if we needed anything or if there was anything they could do to better our experience. We had 3 people staying and they offered us each our own room key, no extra charge/no hassle, we didn't even have to ask! Brought to our room toothpaste and a toothbrush because I forgot my own, and even sent someone with a corkscrew to open our bottle of wine! Leaving the parking garage at checkout guests are supposed to use their room key, but we had returned ours already. At the touch of a button someone was on the phone with us to simply confirm our name/what room we stayed in and we were on our way. These are all small favors, but ones that really made our trip go smoothly, without a hitch. Issues like parking and having to run to a pharmacy could have been time consuming ordeals, but the staff at this Hilton had us taken care of in moments, so we were free to take advantage of our time to explore and really enjoy the city. 5 stars — STAY HERE!

While attending the TCEA conference, I attended a couple of events at the Hilton. Both were meetings with a meal. The meeting rooms were spacious and clean. The rooms were very comfortable, in size, layout, and temperature. The food was excellent. The Hilton staff were very polite and attentive. I have no complaints!

Stay for three days, my condition was very good.

Rude valet. Sheets had a horrible looking stain upon arrival to room. Dirty wet towels in bathtub. Toilet didnt work properly and handle was broken off. The Loft bartender was very rude. Homeless person in lobby asking for money for bus ride. Ruined my suprise for my girlfriend's birthday.

The hotel is a nice property with good service. The bathrooms are a little tiny and the beds are a little soft for my taste. But it's certainly located in the center of everything in Austin! The on site dining is also more than competent.

Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, room 2552, and bare far the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. Conveniently located near 6th street and a very short walk from the night life. Though I wasn't exactly fond of the food that we ordered from room service. For the price we paid for it I would have preferred to go to one of the local restaurants. Other than that my wife and I will definitely choose that hotel again for our next trip to Austin.

I stayed here for a work trip a few weeks ago, and had a very positive experience. Room was clean and service was good. This is the first hotel I've stayed that offered service through SMS as well. I asked for a toothbrush and toothpaste through text, and 5 minutes later it was delivered to my room. Very cool and would definitely consider it again for my future trips. The area is also placed conveniently in downtown Austin, really close to the famous 6th St. You won't go hungry.

A beautiful hotel with loads of nearby shopping and restaurants, spacious rooms and on site dining, bar and cafe. I stayed here for a professional conference and the meeting spaces were equally lovely and well appointed.

Had a wonderful experience here. Spent a night here after our wedding and it was a lovely relaxing respite to say least. Bryana, who checked us in, was delightful and so friendly. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is a beautifully maintained establishment. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. On my first stay I encountered an issue with my room that could have resulted in a negative opinion of Hilton Austin. The Front Office went into overdrive to ensure that I was satisfied with my room AND overall experience prior to leaving. Front Office Director Ryan Kinch saved the day and delivered on each and every promise that was made. I've returned since my first stay and customer service was as stellar as the previous visit. They have a happy and loyal customer here!

An affordable downtown Austin hotel with good service from the front desk to room service. The spa is well maintained and the rooftop pool overlooks 6th Street and Downtown Austin, facing the West with a modern, updated pool scene. Valet is slow to respond and the pool bar closes early, but for the price and comfortable rooms, we will be back!

This hotel is nice, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. However, when you check in, they fail to tell you they put a 100 dollar hold per room on your card. I went there with an extra 300 dollars and since the "glitch" in their system put a 300 dollar hold on my card instead of 200 (I had 2 rooms, not 3) I had no money for the whole weekend. Like I said, nice rooms, but that's sh**ty to do and not even mention they are going to do it. I will never stay at a hilton again for this reason. It ruined my entire weekend and it was my bachelor party.

The Hilton Austin provides one of the best hotel experiences in the country. Aaron and Michael in the executive lounge work hard to provide a genuine Austin experience. Every morning they go above and beyond to meet the needs of the hotel guest. The world needs more Aaron's and Michael's! Thanks for the great service and hotel.

I have visited for conference presentations only — the meeting rooms are comfortable and very nicely appointed. What a terrific companion facility to the Austin Convention Center.

I was only here once but the room was beautiful and very clean. That is a big pet peeve of mine, a dirty hotel room. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.

A bunch of throwing up hobos about 2 streets down — watch out for yak. They give away your room if they believe it to be vacant, and after they believe it to be vacant they steal all remaining items in your room as they think you left — well I didn't. They gave away both of our rooms, one of which I had left things in and I surely believe the Mexican maid stole the electronic material — I'm not racist, its just a fact of her cultural background. They compensated me with a "better" room on the 26th floor "suite". It was the EXACT SAME room except there was a door attaching my room to the neighbor right next to me, the view wasn't even better! Thanks stephanie as this clearly wasn't your fault, you are the reason this review received above a one star rating.

I visited the hotel for a one day conference and had trouble parking but alerted the parking captain (Ross Crosslin; Guest Service Manager) to my situation. He was very responsive and able to take care of my car even with all the trouble with parking there. The "best foot forward" was clear and should be commended. It is not always possible to be accommodating and I was delighted with the service.

I've now attended two events at this Hilton location and I must say I'm really impressed. The hotel is spacious and elegant, with lots of great event rooms. All staff I've interacted with were helpful and friendly. The location is very convenient for conventions (It's across the street from the Convention Center) and pretty much any downtown event. It's in walking distance of most of the night life in town. Really I didn't see any down sides.

Overall it was an amazing and beautiful hotel, great location. But I wish they offer more info about things to do in Austin. One thing I hated was that I found my room bed unfolded and used they were just thrown to the ground I did call room service I wasn't mad because I know mistakes are done, yes they were polite but didn't come and change them until 6 hrs later which wasn't nice at all and made me really upset.

Enjoyed my stay here back in Engadget 2014 at Austin. Great rooms ✊.

I'm a big fan of this hilton. They have large rooms for training/work seminars. They have luxurious rooms and offer good service.

Charged me $15.00 to park for ten minutes while I pre-registered for a conference. On top of that, the automated parking kiosk was broke, so I had to wait on a (grumpy) attendant to pay this exorbitant fee. What an awful start to my visit to Austin.

The fact that I'm reviewing this place and never actually stayed here before demonstrates that there's a lot of do at this hotel, even if you're not a guest. The location is fantastic if you're doing business in the Warehouse/Downtown district, or if you just want to explore central Austin. Their banquet hall stays busy with a constant stream of conferences and educational workshops (including SXSW every year), the hotel lobby is beautiful and the customer service is fantastic. Though it may be a surprise because it's a hotel, their restaurant — — Finn and Porter — — is actually phenomenal and set in a very elegant, classy setting. I've been here for several dinners even as a local and still think their steak, seafood, and sushi is some of the best food in Austin. I would definitely come back to visit Finn and Porter for a nice, expensive dinner.

I would have given five stars, but parking is an issue. I have hosted a very large gala here for the last four years. The hospitality staff is super attentive and make sure that all of my needs were met (and some of my wishes). The menu is extensive and I've met the chef personally. They hold tastings for event planners and they are open to input. That means a lot because I generally work for a very picky bunch with various dietary needs. The staff even helped with our events, although they didn't really have to. They judged our contest and even had a dance or two with us. The decor is larger than life. I will keep going back here.
