Not recommend. You being the guest isn’t important. No room service in the 4 nights we stayed. The maintenance is very poor. The breakfast is bland with no different options on alternative days. For trash service in your room, “you” have to call…. (What? )

This place charges double after you leave. Un authorised charges!

Really clean and awesome place.

The only pros about this place is that the staff is friendly and the lobby looks nice. Cons: Pool is closed, $6 breakfast with few choices, none of the ice machines work (customers have to go to the front desk with the ice bucket, which the clerk takes to the back to be filled), the walls are so thin that other residents can easily be heard, and only one of the two computers in the "business center" actually works (the second one has a permanent blue screen displayed. All in all, there's no doubt that IHG has grossly neglected this location and it is not much better than that of a Motel 6 or Super 8. I'm in my first night here and greatly regret blind booking this third rate place at which corporate should have had some people fired a while back. Last time I was here, the third and fourth floors caught on fire before I returned from a music gig, and it was at least an hour before I was able to retrieve my items and make a 45 minute drive home at 3 a. M. I'm at the point of planning on asking Hotwire for a refund after tomorrow and if they don't cooperate, I'll put in for a transaction dispute with my bank for the many deficiencies at this location.

Loved the heated pool… wish they had more pool towels though. Amazing breakfast and superb CUSTOMER SERVICE. This makes up for our last Holiday Inn stay a few weeks ago…

We selected this hotel for our friends and family to stay the weekend of my daughter's wedding. We retuned to the hotel on Saturday night to find very loud party with drunk people spilling out into the parking lot still going at 12:30am. (The hotel policy is to end parties given in the hotel at 12:00am) As we sat in our room listening and feeling our floor shake from the very loud party going on below, we called the front desk and were told that it was a birthday party for a friend of the owner and it should stop at 2:00am. Guests that had arrived back to the hotel earlier with older family members and children were told that the party would be over by 12:00 or 12:30am. Despite numerous hotel guests complaining, the owner would not let the hotel employees end the party. They offered to move us, but that didn't help the block of wedding guests we had staying at this hotel. It was incredibly rude treatment by the owner and I am so embarrassed that we selected this hotel for our guests. I called the local police department with a noise complaint. They came out and couldn't stop the party because it wasn't a residential area and there was no alcohol served. The party goers were getting the alcohol somewhere… maybe drinking in their cars in the parking lot? The party did not stop until 4:00am. I could never recommend this hotel when the owner is so disrespectful of their guests.

I stayed one night when my AC broke down in the middle of a heat wave. Dee Dee was very understanding, and gave me an early check in so I could come cool off. The main lobby was undergoing renovation, but tidy and clean outside the plastic-draped areas. The room was clean and quiet, and I could adjust the AC to suit myself. The bed was comfortable, the desk was easy to work at, the shower was hot and generous, and the price was right. It was the perfect place for me when I needed it.

The hotel itself was great. Clean room and the restaurant has decent food. However, the key to our room would not work upon arrival. Switched it out for a new one, worked fine. The next morning same thing, only we had to go downstairs to get a new key 3 times before someone had to come up and open the door with a master key. Very inconvenient because in order to get back in for the rest of our stay we had to ask the staff to let us in. Not very accommodating.

This is our second time staying here and I completely forgot to leave a review the last time. Both experiences have been beyond pleasant! This place is beautiful, clean and very professional! Very reasonable in price! Great experience, would definitely recommend!

Service was great. Appeared to be clean but being I'm a somewhat germaphobe, I pay close attention to detail and they could have been a bit more cleaner. My room was super dusty and the floor did not look to be vacuumed when I arrived but I'm picky. Overall not bad but I did ask for fresh linens.

Still staying two more night. From the moment we checked in we had nothing but great customer service. Rooms are very nice. Food is awsome. Pool is gorgeous. Nothing but great things to say. Nothing negative to comment.

Stayed there last week. There was black hair all in the bed. The staff was good to come change out the sheets and even gave us free breakfast coupons. Next morning ordered scrabbled eggs, when they sat the plate down we found a large black hair in the eggs. Ruined the entire breakfast. Cleanliness in the rooms and restaurant should be priority for any hotel. We are now switching over from Holiday Inn Priority to another Hotel chain to rack up our points.

Hotel is nice… BUT being that they put rooms directly above the bar, makes for an extremely long night. The hotel clerk said that she asked them to turn the music down, but my floors and walls are still vibrating 45 minutes after she said the bar would close. I was supposed to stay another night, but I cancelled and booked another hotel.

I had a very easy time checking in and checking out, the front desk staff was very friendly. However the room I stayed in was old and I don’t believe properly kept up. It was incredibly dirty, looked like the cleaning staff barely touched it, lots of dust, dirt & garbage behind the night stands, very noticeable when the plug in nearest the bed is there. There was hair in the sheets, a lot of hair. The bathroom also needed to be cleaned better as well as maintenance to the physical shower itself, that is above a cleaning crews ability. I wouldn’t stay at this location again.

Although not on the beaten path, this hotel provides a home away from home feel with gorgeous rooms. The beds are the most comfortable I've slept on from California to Virginia. The showers are large, with glass doors that anyone can admire. They also have a ledge you can use as a place to put your personal shower gear or even to sit on while showering. All in all a perfect place to star with access to Highway 75 and El Dorado just a couple blocks say in either direction.

I helped host an event at this hotel. The hotel it self was nice and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful and the ballroom meet the needs of the event, but there were a few problems with the service. The table cloths and napkin colors were not as described, we ran out of plates even though we gave the number of guest, the wireless mic ran out of batteries and we had to locate batteries on our own, and there was no place to put our dirty dishes (someone eventually came and help colect them). We did have overnight guest who attended the event and non of them had any complaints about the hotel.

Checked in around 8 pm local. Very nice lady at front desk. Booked a double. Went to first room and did our routine of inspection for cleanliness. Not good. There was dark black hair like someone cut their hair in the corner near the headboard between the mattresses. Also behind the headboard on the floor it look like there was small poppy seed like material on each corner on the floor which was light brown in color. Some of the bed sheets had some mild yellow staining. We asked to be moved to another room and was told the only room that they had was a handicapped accessible room on the first floor. The room only had a king bed when we open the door it's smelled like Bengay. We were okay with that and we continued our inspection prior to accepting the room like we normally do at every facility that we stay at making sure it's clean and bug free. Upon removing some of the sheeting and pulling back the bed frame from the wall we also noticed more of the same poppy seed like brown particles on the floor along with a plastic wrapper and discarded fingernail clippings. Went down to the front desk and declined staying there for the evening. We drove to another location in McKinney and stayed there. Pros: usually give you a free breakfast which is good at Holiday Inns. Lobby was nice and clean. Parking convenient.

Rooms were clean and well kept. Front desk staff was friendly and attentive during my check in, and quickly answered my questions about local dining options. My stay was quiet and uneventful.

Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. I had a reservation so check in was quick and easy. Room was very neat and clean with some comfortable beds! There was a cozy little bar in the lobby where I enjoyed a few drinks with the personable staff. Would recommend this place to anyone.

I've been in a lot of hotels over the past month (home being renovated) and this one by far is the worst. The breakfast "buffet" So, to start, the breakfast (also not free) isn't actually a buffet when they don't have enough people to fill their hotel. It's a dine in, sit down, order something and leave. Oh, and the vouchers for the meal they give you are just for the food, so I hope you don't get thirsty when you eat something. That's an extra 3$ The pool and spa First off, I've attatched a picture. The spa was DISGUSTING, you couldn't even see the bottom. And while I know that sometimes chlorine can be the culprit here, I don't think that's the case. The spa is COLD. (like 97 degrees, lower than body temperature cold) When I asked the front desk about it, I was told that's "as high as it goes" In a very standoffish way. Don't insult my intelligence. A hot tub means hot. I booked this hotel partially from the beautiful pictures of the pool, it was a major dissapointment. The pool: The waterfall, and beautiful cascading water over the spa didn't exist. It was shut off the entire time I was there. I never asked why, but I have a feeling it's honestly because they don't really care. The deck was covered in food, and trash despite no one being in there, and the hotel being so empty they didn't have enough people to support a buffet breakfast. The rooms: While the rooms were clean, and nice, they're a little small. No big deal there really.

Truly enjoyed our stay, everything was clean. Super friendly staff & nice shopping in the general area.

The bed is super comfortable. I wanted to bring the pillows home, they're amazing! Very clean and the staff is really kind and helpful.

This hotel has the worst customer service. Everybody at the front desk is very rude and not helpful at all. Also, the rooms are dirty. When I checked in my room I found poop on my toilet seat. This place is disgusting!

Service, rooms, breakfast was spot on 5 star, very nice. Staff and Services very professional and courteous. Highly recommended. Easy highway access all around DFW area.

A lovely hotel very clean, and had every amenity needed. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was delicious too. It is a little crazy that you have to pay for breakfast considering all the major hotels usually have free breakfast but $11 for a breakfast buffet isn't terrible. What was really cool is in the dining room, each booth had it's own television so people could watch whatever they wanted.

Room was very clean, staff was very helpful and accommodating. Price was very reasonable. Only complaint was the air conditioner was a bit noisy.

Best place I have stayed at. The bathrooms can use a little more TLC though. But all in all very happy.

Clean rooms with coffee maker, microwave and fridge, free, if spotty, Wi-Fi. Nice reasonably furnished gym (3 exersise machines and a selection of small other training equipment). Pool is all maintained if a little small. Restaurant is nice enough if a little expensive. Location is great, plenty of resurrects and amenities within walking distance.

I ended up stranded in McKinney, TX on July 21st 2017 and Kris went above and beyond to assist me with obtaining a room for the night. I'm not sure what I would have done if she hadn't helped. Thank you kris! thank you! thank you! thank you!

Our suite was very nice at a very reasonable price! The onsite restaurant served a very good breakfast at a fair price! I would highly recommend the hotel for anyone staying in this area!

Excellent property. Comfortable beds. Large shower with a high head and plenty of hot water. Friendly staff. Very clean, warm and inviting. Love the warm cookies too!

Three day stay at this hotel — never again. Horrible staff for the exception of the housekeeper who was super friendly. Staff needs training in customer service. Getting your staff to smile and make eye contact whenever the customer enters the hotel would be a great start. Our friends from Arkansas also stayed at this hotel as they are a Holiday Inn member and was very disappointed as well.

My stay was good but not great. The front desk staff were friendly, the rooms were nice and the bed was comfortable, the room temp was perfectly controlled, not like some hotels were you're hot one min and cold the next. The pool was a great design.
The reasons I can't give a 5 *, and these aren't horrible, but just things I didn't find pleasant. When we first went to our room we discovered they gave us a room that was already occupied. Thankfully no one was in the room but their belongings were in the room. This could have been a very bad experience for them if we were not honest people.
The bar music is way too loud. You can't eat comfortably in restaurant because the bar is right there and it's super loud music and because of this I did not want my children eating there. Family dinner with the bar music blaring and drunks isn't ideal for us. Plus the bar music is loud in the lobby. I've read other reviews about this music. The waitress is another reason I can't give 5. I waited 10 min for a table, there was one other couple eating, she finally came out from back and I sat down. She was rude and acted like she was mad she had to wait on me. When I paid I waited 10 min for my change, she was walking back and forth, by this time I was the only one still there. The turkey sandwich was not bad but it wasn't great for the price.
Yes, I'd stay here again and these aren't major problems, but they are reasons I can not give 5.

I had a pleasant stay here. The room service food was excellent. Housekeeping did a nice job. The only issue was a broken ice machine.

Was visiting family that has come into town. Room was quite nice. Was undergoing some construction downstairs that created some confusion as to how to get to the inside pool. Pool was nicely done.

The staff was very rude the whole three days I stayed there! I was shocked we ordered room service and was disappointed that our food was wrong and they didn't replace the whole meal just the meat. So I had cold sides with my meat. I asked to be called due to one bad customer service issue after the other. I never received a phone call. I travel weekly for work and I am pretty laid back. I can say I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. The room smelled like mildew I was NOT pleased.

Staff are Great, room was very nice. My stay was a pleasan one. On the down side, the Internet is not high speed, the continental breakfast is not free like it is at every other hotel I have stayed at. With just a few changes this could be a 5 star hotel. For the price of the rooms continental breakfast should be free. The breakfast bar should be a little less in price but that part should not be free. If I want a full breakfast bar I will pay for it. The pool area is very nice as well.

When checking in the bar was really loud and I could not hear the desk clerk, the bed was comfortable, the shower was ok, the head needs changed to allow for bigger Spray pattern.

Fantastic hotel. The room is large and luxurious. Everything is clean and comfortable. The staff, maintenance and management go out of there way to make you feel welcome. The kitchen was closed due to an emergency so the manager saw fit to order everyone staying pizza or any restaurant they wish. One of the two televisions in my room went out. It was the one in the living room. No big deal. I called about it just to inform the staff. They immediately sent up a man to look at it who offered either bring up a t. V. For me to watch and set on the table or wait until I was out tomorrow to install a new larger one where the broken one was mounted. This is only the second day of my five night stay and I am already impressed enough to actually write a review.

Pool is small but nice hot tub. Internet is pretty slow. Buffers every 5 minutes or less if you watch a video on YouTube or Netflix. Room is nice and comfy but ceiling fan is noisy. Cleaner than some hotels but squeaky floor near our door. Overall, good stay.

The hotel and staff are great. Very comfortable rooms. The only down side to this place is the restaurant terrible food & way over priced. No choicest for breakfast. The do it yourself breakfast bar you have to pay. Other hotels it's free.

Uhmm… can't BELIEVE I picked the only hotel in Mckinney, Tx without a free breakfast. $9.99 for a breakfast buffet they didn't even bother to set up. Smh.

We will never stay at this location again. Our family travels frequently, we arrived Sunday, and what I can say is housekeeping was super friendly, and the rooms were awesome. My husband had an appt. That day, which left me and my child at the hotel, which was fine, because we planned on swimming for the time he was gone (which was going to be 3-4 hrs). We went down to the pool at 3:30, 5 min after entering 17 kids came piling in screaming, and carrying on that was not corrected by the two chaparrones, after trying to suffer through it for 45 min. We left, and went to the front counter, told them of the problem, and of how there was 11 kids in the hot tub where the sign clearly states 6 at a time (they could've cared less) and asked them to call us when it cleared out, they said they would, and never offered to correct the issue.

We live in McKinney and are here because our home is being renovated. Out of the vast number of Holiday Inns/Hampton Inns we've stayed in, and most of them are truly excellent, this one takes the first place, hands down. We are here for a longer stay and still have a few more days to go, but so far, no matter what happens next, nothing will take away from the by far most excellent experience we've ever had while staying at an Inn. Superb clean, awesome design, beautiful setting, spacious rooms, no money was spared on the interior décor, wall coverings, bathroom fixtures, etc. Plus the pool — kids can't get enough of it, the staff — helpful, respectful, warm; the restaurant downstairs — the food is beyond good, we'll be coming here just to eat when we move back to our home. Everything is just 5 star great.

The rooms were really nice and the staff was excellent. There was a charge made to my room by accident. I called and had the pleasure of getting to speak with Yolanda. She showed true concern and worked to have it reversed. She even told me to call her back and let her know when I saw the credit to my account. I really appreciate service like that. I don't know if I will ever need to go back to Mckinney but if I do I will be staying at this hotel.

Staff was friendly and attentive to any of our needs. The indoor pool and hot tub were excellent and well maintained. Room was clean and well maintained with a modern look and feel. The only issue my wife and I had was the bed, it was as hard as a rock. Both of us woke up with back pain. Everything else was top notch.

Very nice place. Clean and shiny. Staff very friendly. The bar is nice too. Not sure if everyone gets one but they gave us tickets for a free drink or appetizer too.

By far the best Holiday Inn for service. I even treated myself to an extra night just so I could sleep in the most comfortable bed I ever sleep in.

Hands down the nicest Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at and I am a Platinum level Priority Club member corporate pilot/former airline pilot. This should be the model for all other Holiday Inn's. I prefer the standard room over the two room suite because of the openness of the room. Ceiling fans in each room and some rooms have steam showers.
