Loved our stay at the Mokara. Spacious room, spacious bathroom, nice view (if you choose a River Walk view), a nice restaurant and a quaint pool/hot tub with a nice view. Most importantly, the staff at all levels was friendly and helpful! We would definitely stay there again. They could step up their toilet paper game a little😀

Nice get away from ATX, restaurant at river walk was practicing social distancing. Food is pricey but good. There are many people on river walk wo mask but hotel does respect mask 😷 rooftop pool only 4” and heated slightly warm. Hot tub nice and working. Came on Sunday one night shower drain was not going down has juccuzi tub with complimentary bath salts.

Wow! I had the best massage I have ever had, Garett was amazing. The spa is impeccable, it’s the small things that are the wow factors, the ice water and fruit plates, placing your rob on you at the end of massage, I could go on and on. Sharoden (sp? ) was my awesome mani pedi gal. She was wondering. Squeezed me in and helped me order lunch. I go to a lot of spas and rarely write reviews, however this place is top not and deserves a raving review. Thank you for the superb service and outstanding spa treatments. Can’t wait to come back and refer friends and family.

The instant I pulled up to the hotel, the staff was amazing. Petra at the concierge desk even called days before to check and see id we needed anything beforehand! Room was amazing, quite a view of the riverwalk and the city as well. Quick walk to anywhere, as our was near a ton of shopping. The valet team was quick with retrieving our vehicle as well. Missed the spa services, but plan on another stay for that!

Stayed at Mokara for a girls weekend. The staff was incredible. Very attentive and friendly. All their suggestions for restaurant s we're spot on. Would definitely go back. Great location, really nice rooms with great AC (It was so hot and humid outside). Restaurant was also great food and service! One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed.

Hotel staff’s friendliness and professionalism were second to none. Personal touches all around the hotel. Bottle of water or coffee being offered as we were in the lobby waiting for our ride, bucket of ice already being filled when we arrived our room and complementary cold fresh fruit waiting for us after a late morning walk … all impressed us. Oh, can’t forget the complementary delicious espresso in the morning! Spa experience was something as well. I’ve been recommending mokara hotel and spa to all my friends since my return! Thanks, Nicholas, for everything you did to make our stay memorable at your hotel!

Amazing hotel — would highly recommend. We were treated like royalty — and the location and balcony view of the Riverwalk was fantastic. There is nothing to say negative — except the TV channels were minimal — but hey, we weren't there to watch TV! The bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom area — comfortable seating — room service was spot on as well. Loved the fresh fruit and apples available!

Our stay has been amazing! We were spoiled. The staff, room attendants, especially Ruby and Liz, went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. My daughter was sick and they brought her homemade chicken noodle soup and tea, complimentary. We typically stay with Ritz Carlton and the Mokara has surpassed them. We will be back with the rest of our family! Thank you.

The stay was almost perfect. From the valet to the room service, they were professional and courteous. I will definitely be coming to stay again. The only issue I had, was that I paid for the "Breakfast in Bed" package, for two mornings, but only got one. They did, however, refund me the breakfast and took care of the situation. All-in-all I was very pleased.

We stayed at Mokara to celebrate some special Anniversaries in our family. The service was so incredible I hardly know where to begin. They took care of every detail and made our stay the most enjoyable experience. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, first class! So clean and smells really fresh all the time. The staff is not only friendly, they go out of their way to make sure you have what you need as if you were the only guest on the property. I HIGHLY recommend Mokara. We can't wait to go back! Be sure to meet Petra the concierge, Priscilla at the desk and John in the restaurant! Amazing people!

The food ai Ostra was exceptional. My server, John, answered all my questions and handled my food issues easily. My meal was cooked to perfection. It was prompt and delicious. All staff was friendly and professional. The night desk personnel at Mokara were friendly and professional. I could not have asked for better.

By far my new favorite hotel… in the world. Everything was top notch from the service to the spaciousness of the rooms to the freshest fruit plate of Asian pears and Honeycrisp apples you've ever had delivered as a complementary afternoon snack. Oh, you haven't had that? What about a full spa with free guest access? Hmm, not that either? Exactly. I'd take Mokara over the Ritz or Four Season, any day, all day. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!

My wife and I stayed here the night before and the night of our wedding. It was perfect. The staff was pleasant and amenable and when I left some of my property in the room, I was contacted by loss prevention and was able to have my property mailed back to me. The room itself was bright and had plenty of space for my wife and her 6 bridesmaids to get ready the day of and the spa is top notch. We made an excellent choice in going with the Mokara and you will as well.

I brought my girlfriend to the Mokara Hotel & Spa for a surprise Spa Day to celebrate our anniversary and what can I say… they exceeded ALL of my expectations! We came early to enjoy all of the Spa facilities and were first welcomed by the nice concierge which showed us around all the amenities to include the steam room, sauna, ladies lounge (separate for men and woman) and the jacuzzi room. We then enjoyed the jacuzzi for about 20 mins before heading to the Ladies lounge to await our massage therapists. Latty and Denise then came to greet us and escorted us back to our couple’s massage room. They did an absolute, outstanding job completing our 80 — min Swedish massage… they left no muscle untouched! We were then escorted to the couple’s room where water and fresh fruit awaited us and very comfortable lounge sofas with warm blankets and neck pillows. We were then surprised with complimentary champagne in celebration of our anniversary which we thoroughly enjoyed! After that, we headed over to the steam room that was filled with a beautiful relaxation aroma. This Spa is top of the line and I definitely look forward to coming back to enjoy the Spa and next time I plan to also check out the hotel! Thank you for grade A service Mokara! I will be coming back.

Only visited the spa, didn’t stay in the hotel. Great spa experience from beginning to end. The receptionists were friendly and very welcoming along with the concierge to give a quick tour. Amenities were top-notch, including a whirlpool, dry and eucalyptus saunas, and spacious relaxation room. The massage was probably the best I’ve had. Definitely the “spa” experience in the middle of the river walk.

The Spa area was divine! The room service was superb. This is one of my all time favorite hotels we’ve ever visited! We loved everything! Can’t wait to come back!

Lovely hotel. Rooms are comfortable with a peaceful feeling. Beautiful bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. Was there for a work event and all of the group meals were very good. Really nice gym and open 24 hours! A lot of nice touches all around. Helpful staff. I felt well care for.

Amazing experience! I felt so VIP from the moment I checked in until the valet opened my door when I departed. Beautiful facility! Their customer service was top notch. I had the whole place to myself practically and I did everything! I showered twice, did the whirlpool twice, steam room and sauna once, and utilized all their amenities in the vanity area. Additionally, my husband and I got a couple's massage. Most relaxing massage! I felt SO pampered. We also got to relax in comfy robes and they even brought us birthday cake and champagne (we were celebrating a week early). I would MOST definitely go here. I had only been to any spa once and this place set the bar high for any future spas I may visit. Thank you, Mokara Spa, for making us feel so special!

The Mokara is a lovely hotel in an ideal location on the Riverwalk. The staff was responsive and friendly. We were a large party with multiple special requests and they handled each one quickly and efficiently. Our bed was comfortable and turned down for us nightly. The room was clean and well decorated. We felt pampered and well cared for.

We've stayed at the Mokara twice now and each visit has been wonderful. The rooms are spacious, especially the bathrooms with separate tub, shower, and toilet room. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are high quality. There is a heated rooftop pool and a health club with any machine you might want to use as well as lemon water and chilled towels. The staff of this hotel is what really makes it stand out from others. They are all incredibly friendly and helpful. The location on the River Walk is perfect. If we visit San Antonio again, we will definitely stay at the Mokara.

We have been to spas in Jamaica, Austrailia, Mexico, and Las Vegas but Mokara was hands down the best! I had a deep tissue and I can not say enough wonderful things about Denise! We also had facials and they were wonderful as well! I highly recommend her and this spa for an extremely relaxing time.

My very first experience at the spa was amazing! I rarely give 5 stars but this was truly worth the price. The attendants were on point with services and communication.

Comfortable and luxurious rooms with full amenities and excellent customer service. They pay attention to details and it is the little things, like different juices / flavored water and fruits available in the lobby, and turndown service with a treat, free 24 hr coffee and tea (wonderful as I'm a tea drinker and most places don't have or make good tea — this place does) service, that make staying here a wonderful experience. The Spa is also good and has the same excellent service and attention to details. The location is great — on the Riverwalk but towards the end of the busy section so it is not that noisy. Lots of restaurants in close proximity. Also the security is pretty good (need key to get in unattended doors) which keeps people from just wandering in from the Riverwalk. The only downside is there is not a breakfast service unless you either order room service or eat at the restaurant downstairs — both are pricey and if you just want a simple breakfast (toast, yogurt, or cereal) not very practical. I would recommend staying here.

This is a great hotel! I really didn't want to stay downtown, but this hotel didn't feel like it was downtown. There's a lot to do. And it's quiet on a quiet street with great views! It's awesome. Don't bother staying anywhere else. This is the place.

I didn't stay at this hotel but stopped in for a pedicure at the spa. Selina was AMAZING and provided the best pedi I have ever had! My nails look great and she provided tons of tips for the city. Gonna try to go back to see her for a facial if I have the time!

My hubby whisked me away for the weekend and I'm so glad he chose the Mokara. The room was nice and clean and we enjoyed the turn down service. The first night we ate at the Ostra located downstairs on the riverwalk and loved sitting under the cool misters while looking at the magnificent trees around us. Our server was terrific at recommending wine pairings and I was able to make substitutions to my meal. I highly enjoyed the mashers and we shared a goat cheesecake. On Saturday when we asked for recommendations, the Mokara staff was very kind and gave great suggestions on where to go for Margaritas and other restaurants with views of the riverwalk. On Sunday morning before we left we had a couples massage at the spa. It was so relaxing and both of our massage therapists were attentive to our different needs. We enjoyed the couples relaxing room, then separated and enjoyed the saunas and hot tub for awhile. Since we were worried about time at the spa, the guest services were very nice in letting us have a late checkout. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future!

We stayed 1 night for our anniversary in a river view spa room. The room, amenities and service were incredible! We dined at Ostra for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and it was amazing! I can't say enough good things about how phenomenal this hotel was and how fantastic the hotel and restaurant staff were. 5/5 Stars!

Peaceful hotel with a great restraunt underneath. We went there for Father's DAY brunch and the food and service was excellent. They also have a well-equipped gym with chilled towels and a pool and hot tub on the top floor.

Driving cross country and stayed here for a respite. We have stayed in Many lovely, special hotels around the world and this rates with the best. Beautiful facilities, beautiful location, room beautiful and so, so comfortable. Big beautiful whirlpool bath and I had the best nights sleep I've had in a long time! Wish I could have that bed at home! Every staff member we met were genuinely, kindly extremely helpful. Had breakfast in am in their restaurant on the river walk and it was delicious! Will look forward to going back!

The Hotel and Spa was beautiful and well maintained every aspect of service was top-notch enjoyed our visit very much will definitely come back.

Mokara provides the greatest experience possible of San Antonio. The rooms and hotel are gorgeous and immaculate. The pool and hot tub on located on the roof provide a grand view of the city and river. The cafe up there creates delicious lunches and drinks. I would suggest the berry mojito (their sweet tea mojito is only for certain palettes). The spa is beautifully designed and the entire staff is fantastic. I loved the architecture of the circular stone shower stalls and the candle lite rock wall in the hot tub room. Carla our housekeeper went above and beyond to help us feel at home in the city. She provided us with a list of attractions and accommodated our demanding schedule. The only draw back of the spa is the steam rooms steam maker is very loud. Every time I started to relax there was a loud band of it turning on and running. However, the location is perfect. We were literally on the riverwalk. We will most definitely be staying here again.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel and spa with superb service and a tranquil setting. If you're looking for an immaculately clean, sleekly decorated hotel room with an awesome view from your private balcony, and a stunning marble bathroom with whirlpool bath and separate shower, this it the only hotel to stay at! There were thoughtful touches such as turn-down service, complimentary slippers and a sleeping mask left in the room, and fresh fruit delivered to our room. The service was impeccable. Every single employee I encountered in the hallway, elevator, lobby, spa or restaurant looked directly at me, smiled, asked how my day was and offered in some way to help (holding a door, with directions, offering water on a particularity hot day, etc). Our bellman noticed I had a small cooler that was leaking and quickly offered to bring in a mini-fridge to put my items in which arrived minutes later; very much appreciated. I had ordered something from the restaurant to be sent to the rooftop pool. Jorge actually came up personally to explain why it couldn't be delivered at that time, but quickly offered to comp the drinks when we were ready to receive them, very nice. The spa was bar-none the best I've ever been to. The staff was professional and courteous. You just have to see this place to believe it, breathtaking! A key to a locker and slippers are assigned to guests upon arrival. In the locker is a super comfy robe.

The entire staff was welcoming and always quick to offer assistance, whether it be a recommendation, directions, ir a cold bottle of water. My wife and I enoued our stay and would definitely go back.

I typically stay at the Valencia and a few other hotels over the years but we decided to stay here this last weekend. In short the hospitality here is second to none. We don't really know why the manager sent up a bottle of champagne with truffles and later a cheese tray but neither of us could find a single fault with the hotel. We highly suggest it to anyone looking to stay on the Riverwalk.

My wife and I spent several days at the Mokara for a mini honeymoon after being married the previous weekend. The Mokara, in short, was breathtaking. The amenities were amazing, the staff was nothing but helpful, and my overall experience was flawless. The doormen take the time to get to know you, and the staff does everything they can to make sure your stay is a great one. One thing to note is if you want a "riverside" room is that Crockett street runs between the hotel and the river. While the rooms still have a great view of the river, you are not right on the river itself.

From the minute you walk in till the moment you leave, the staff was terrific in every way. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Coffee maker and selection of coffee was great. All you need away form home is there and more. Big thank to all for their hospitality.

I came here with my husband for fun. We aren't a wealthy couple by any means and this was a big splurge for us. However, we were treated so well, the staff was amazing, the room was amazing (the bed was so comfortable! ). We walked around downtown and hit a few bars and had some sushi and went back to the room to go swim on their rooftop pool — which was amazing! My husband wants to go back for his birthday in January and I am looking so forward to the experience.

Wife and I just spent 4 nights here and couldn't be happier with our decision. This is a great hotel for a romantic stay on the Riverwalk. There were a few families here but I wouldn't recommend it with kids. The facility us top notch and the service shines. There wasn't a single staff person that we encountered that wasn't pleasant and willing to please. Room service was good and prompt. Pool was awesome. Wife had a pedí at the spa and was very happy. Didn't have a baloney room but it didn't matter to us.

My husband brought me here for my 30th birthday, it was amazing. The room, the food, the staff. Everything. The restaurant on the riverwalk below the hotel was just fabulous. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and our waiter recommended the perfect champagne for us. I can't wait to come back to the Mokara, they make you feel like royalty.
