Always our first choice when traveling to Nashville. Centrally located super close to the honky tonks and the Ryman! Awesome staff, food and great accommodations. Highly recommended!

We stopped in at the Union Station bar while exploring and were greeted by Matt who was so nice and helpful while we were figuring out what we wanted to drink. While there, an extremely rude guest showed up and Matt had no hesitation or waver in his smile or class in handling him. We weren't staying here but would highly recommend and we will be back!

Room was absolutely lovely as always. The staff is friendly, genuine, and knowledgeable. We stay here every chance we get. The breakfast is fresh and top notch. The hotel itself is out of a dream. The woodwork alone I could talk about for days. The first time you walk in and look up you are transported back to a time where humans created things of beauty and purpose, not just to "look" pretty. This is one of the best hotels in the South if not the US. Make sure you stop in and say hi.

First time going to Nashville. We stayed at Union station. So beautiful. The staff is awesome. I wanted to I love you there! But had to go home.

This place was beautiful inside. They kept the authenticity and history of the original building and transformed it into a beautiful hotel. We stopped in to get out of the heat and they had water and a bar inside. The view inside was amazing. We went up the stairs to enjoy the architecture of the ceiling. If you get a chance to stop in. Do so. It was well worth seeing.

The hotel is sooo gorgeous. The way the restoration was done is outstanding! Rooms are large with beautiful decor. The staff is friendly and do out of their way to please you. The food from Carters is top notch!

Love this hotel. It’s an updated old train station that was turned into a hotel. It feels like there is a lot of paranormal activity. The hotel has a nice bar/restaurant and the rooms/beds are comfortable. It’s not too far from the main strip where all the bars are located. A quick 8 min walk if that. The Flying Saucer is right next door where you can get every flavor of beer and a pizza.

We always enjoy staying at this beautiful, historic hotel when in Nashville. The staff is always very helpful. The rooms are somewhat small so if you like more space I recommend the Station Master Suites. They are definitely larger. The bathrooms are nice as well. I have had problems with the glass shower doors allowing a lot of water to run onto the floor, but that’s only a minor inconvenience. The dining on the first floor is also very good and usually not busy at all. Finally, the location makes everything downtown within pretty easy walking distance.

We visited the bar to see the stained glass roof and building. With the building being the oldest building in Nashville we wanted to see the historic lanmard and architecture. The building is absolutely stunning! We had a few drinks at the bar and as to be expected they have a great selection.

Enjoyed National Pet Day at this hotel. It's was great! So many people enjoyed being able to socialize with there pets in a nice relaxing atmosphere. Wish Union would make this a monthly event. Thank you!

Highly recommend this hotel in a wonderfully renovated, grand old train station. The lobby is stunning and accommodations were very nice and clean. Convenient to downtown. Only downsides: walls are thin, so we heard neighbors on both sides and of course, passing trains. Parking is expensive; Uber is plentiful, so I recommend skipping renting a car if you’re staying here.

Great hotel lacking attention to detail. Not a good showing for the Marriott brand. No hooks to hang clothes or towels in the bathroom. Construction/renovation poorly managed — grout poorly done, cracking, mildew, etc. Furniture layout poor, lamp switches difficult to access. Desk awkwardly tall, yet not tall enough to use standing. Lamp switches all fall off. Bathroom light switch obscured by mirror. I was put in a room next to the stairs and was treated to non-stop loud stomping from 7am on. Good location, close to downtown, the Gulch, etc. Hotel itself is beautiful. Staff very nice and friendly. TV system best in the industry, but mostly just used built-in Netflix functionality on the smart TV.

Beautiful historic boutique hotel. Excellent location, walkable to downtown, Gulch, Vanderbilt, etc. Our room was very nice albeit expensive. Next to an active train track but not really a problem. All the staff were great and really enjoyed the unique architecture and decor. Few amenities on site, limited menu and dining space. Had a memorable weekend.

Wonderful building. It's rooms are modern, which is really cool for an old building. If you stay I understand the floors 1 and 2 get bad cell service. I am on 7 in the attic and phone works fine.

Beautiful hotel! Spent a night there. Room and bed were comfortable. We were at ground level, so we had to keep the blinds closed due to passersby, but the view of the parking lots and train tracks weren't worth looking at anyway. We slept great, but there are a lot of trains going by and major, ground shaking construction happening across the street. So if you are very sensitive to stuff like that… be aware. The lobby bar had good drinks and we got a late night burger before heading to our room. Front desk and valet staff were friendly.

I truly expected more from this hotel. Great location and beautiful architecture are the only reasons I am giving two stars. My room was not as expected — very holidayinnish and not clean (dirty mirrors, dusty, surfaces not cleaned). Had to ask for blankets. Bed was rock hard, low to the floor and uncomfortable. Room also had door adjoining to room next to it and I could hear their entire conversations, among other things. Also noise from an event above the train track level room I received. Oh… and did I mention the trains? It is probably not as bad on the upper floors, but on the second floor (which is below the main floor), you even get to experience the vibration. Doors opening and closing a ridiculous amount of times during the night, but I suppose that is to be expected with the party going on upstairs. For a person that spent 260+ nights this year in Marriott hotels, I expected better treatment from the front desk but only received a “it is what it is — just deal with it” attitude. Nothing was done to improve my stay at all. I will say that this has been the worst and only really bad experience with a hotel under the Marriott name. This will also definitely be my last visit to this hotel. My advise — if you are spending the kind of money this hotel charges, find one that treats its guests a bit better. If you are wanting a good night’s sleep, this is not the place for you.

Amazing. Perfect adaptive reuse of historic train station. Amazing rooms, cool original art. Be sure to get a room level 3 or above. Train noise not too bad, I was on the 6th floor, on the side of the tracks — I could hear them rumble by, but didn't hear horn. Definitely catch breakfast and/ or dinner in the amazing central hall restaurant.

Beautiful building in a great part of town. Went for the annual Christmas liquid lunch. Good food and decent drink menu. Service was blah as always. The staff was cordial and they get the job done. Would be much better if there was some enthusiasm — excitement!

Cool older building, great vibe in the room, nice views. Freight train at 3 and 5am walking up our 6 month old child… Not cool. Should have thought about that when we booked a hotel at a train station. Could have been the time of the year but bellman and valet had a skeleton crew and were of limited help. Hotel staff extremely friendly and courteous. Nicely decorated for Christmas. Towel racks and other bathroom fixtures literally falling off the wall by and toilet flushing could have been better, one time out of three it worked. I've always wanted to stay here and am glad I did but wouldn't do it again, especially without noise cancelling headphones.

This historic building/hotel is beautifully maintained, indoors and out. The staff is dedicated to ensuring that the guests have the best experience possible. The artwork throughout the building is tasteful, and relevant to both Nashville Music City and the railways history. Located an easy walking distance to lower Broadway, SoBro district, the Gulch, and the fabulous convention center makes this snow ideal hotel to fully enjoy the Nashville experience.

I highly recommend this hotel everything was perfect service was great. Hotel is right off the strip so it's just a walk down to any bar they do offer valet service which is great. Room is very clean and tidy bed was very comfy would recommend.

Stunning former train station converted into a hotel in downtown Nashville. You could easily spend time just walking around the lobby and admiring the building. The building is within easy walking distance to the bars and restaurants of downtown Nashville. This is a hotel with character and the staff were decent. Worth the visit.

I am not kidding when I say that this place is haunted. I personally experienced it and I usually don't believe in such stuff. Apart from that, the over all experience was great. Don't be scared, they won't hurt you :)

The union station autograph hotel has a whole mess of character, is centrally located and is incredibly comfortable. The hotel staff is generally very pleasant and friendly, the restaurant in the lobby is ok for a quick drink or meal and the whole experience is very unique. Things that I liked the most were the décor and the location, but the size of the rooms are somewhat smaller than you may expect unless you get upgraded to a nicer room. In addition you may find that the cleaning staff doesn't pay attention to do no disturb signs and late check out requests, regardless of who has been notified. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here, if the cleaning staff hadn't interrupted us a few times or if the price was a little more reasonable for the area this would have been a five star stay. That being said I do recommend either staying here, or at the very least taking a walk through the amazing lobby, this place is really cool!

We went to see a music performance in the stunning lobby. Fantastic setting in the heart of the city. Highly recommended to stop in and enjoy the lobby with a cocktail even in you're not staying at the hotel.

The staff was amazing. The hotel and rooms were beautiful. My only complaint is that the AC in the room worked with motion sensors and we don't walk about at night so the AC wouldn't click on throughout the night. We called st desk and they brought us a fan and that helped immensely.

The hotel is beautiful with so much character. I won't stay there the next time I come to Nashville because of the accounting department. I had a charge of more than $80.00 for parking (my daughter and I both stayed, so two cars) on my outgoing bill. I didn't realize that each car that was parked was a $40 charge, not included in price of room. They also mistakenly charged me for a room tax that was only found when I saw it on my bank statement. When I called the hotel, they re-routed me three times with intermittent "on hold" episodes. Even though they acknowledged that it was their mistake, they wanted me to call another number and go through the whole process, again. At this point, I gave up because the charge was not worth my time. The in-house staff could not have been nicer. Everyone that I dealt with at the hotel was pleasant and efficient. I was fine until all the charges that I received after I left.

Five nights at the Union Station Hotel set the perfect tone for an incredible Nashville vacation! The Hotel itself is steeped in history with original carved wood features and stone statues/ engravings; combined with an outstanding renovation that stands on its own (if being in an historic building is not significant to you)! Each of the 125 rooms is unique and ours was perfect for my sister and me! There was just enough "Nashville" in the room without it being honky-tonk strange! The room appointments were luxurious, the room was large, meticulously clean and we felt like we were the first to stay in the room (i. E. No wear and tear)! Saving the best for last: the hotel staff was extraordinary! Chris (the reservation manager), with whom I first spoke via phone, immediately understood the type of vacation we wanted (we were celebrating a birthday) full of good music, good food and convenient access to everything. Chris knew where we should go, which tickets to buy in advance and what to avoid (too touristy). When we arrived at the hotel, the rest of the staff proved to be very resourceful and as infectiously enthusiastic about Nashville as Chris… last minute restaurant choices, best transportation modes and other details were handled seemingly effortlessly. (BTW: I don't usually take the time to review hotels, but feel compelled because of the excellence of this hotel! )

The Union Station Hotel is just breathtaking! It's in a great location in downtown Nashville, close enough to walk to many attractions. The lobby is amazing! There are three crystal chandeliers that sparkle like diamonds. The decor is pleasing and the seating options are very comfortable. I was completely blown away with the beauty throughout the building. The guest rooms are small, but this is one of those times when a small package offers a big bang. Each room has been updated with new technology, such as many outlets and usb ports for charging. The rooms have 18 foot ceilings. There are buttons to push that open and close the floor to ceiling curtains and sheers. The beds are comfortable and the bedding luxurious. You have a large amount of storage options in both the bedroom and bathroom. I loved the deep bath tub and the large, soft fluffy towels. We enjoyed some delicous dessert and hot chocolate in the cozy and cute bar. All in all our time at the hotel was relaxing and pleasant.

Great historical building and our room was beautiful. The Staff was wonderful. Parking can be an issue if you do not prefer valet. We'll definitely stay here again.

The atmosphere amazing. I attended on the rail which is a singer songwriter music night. The atmosphere is great for a music venue. The drinks are on the expensive side as are the appetizers. The appetizers are very good and the beer is cold. The music is free but I do always recommend that you tip because you are getting a free performance. I would recommend that if you're visiting to go into the lobby just to view this Historic Landmark.

The hotel was beautiful and worth visiting just to see the architecture. The dining experience for breakfast was below standards for both mornings, as the servers were nice but could not seem to remember to return to the table. The beds were VERY comfortable. The valet service was also way above normal in willingness to go the extra mile. Lots of places to visit and delicious dining experiences within walking distance. Overall I had a great time.

I was in town for a conference and gone from early morning to late afternoon/evening every day for four days. The first morning I put out the sign and hung up my towels indicating that I'd keep my towels to conserve water and they took them up anyway and left fresh ones. The second day I was running late in the morning and didn't bother to hang up my towels since they ignored that the day before. When I returned to my room that evening my room was exactly as I'd left it. My co-worker had a broken foot so I'd used the bag from the ice bucket for ice the day before. I had to call the front desk to request clean towels and another bag for the ice bucket. The following day my room went without service again. I again had to call and ask for a restock on the coffee and the ice bag. The management wasn't helpful and only offered me a breakfast coupon. I will not choose to stay here again.

Each year I pay for and accompany a group of forty plus individuals on an incentive trip. This year we chose this Marriott property. I was very disappointed. I scheduled and paid for meeting space for two separate functions, the meeting rooms we were given ARE NOT what you see on line… Beware and ask for pictures of your actual very dated meeting space. My contract also included Marriott rewards points. I asked in writing and verbally several times how many points I would receive… I was told not to worry that I would be notified. Rather than giving me 10 points for each dollar spent (the program outlined in the rewards website) they offered me one point up to a max of 50, 000 pints (I should be receiving 345, 000 points). Now in fairness they did come back and up the amount to 3 points per dollar keeping the same 50, 000 point cap. Had I paid for each room separately I would have received all my points I will not be taking future groups to Marriott properties.

Interior was very aesthetically pleasing. We were there for a social gathering and the catering was very proffesional and efficient. Staff was courteous and did a excellent job with the pre-planned event. Vallett was also satisfactory.

The rooms, meals, and atmosphere is the high quality you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. What was exceptional was the attentive and eagerly helpful staff.

The lobby is truly the best part of this hotel. All the infrastructure you take for granted in a nice hotel is in bad shape. I write this review as a maintenance worker repairs the faucet on my shower. The irony is, they knew exactly what the problem was before entering the room. This makes me think it is a common issue. I am a huge fan of Marriott but this hotel reminds me of the old saying about putting lipstick on a pig.

Staying at this hotel was an absolute pleasure. Traveling to Nashville to celebrate an anniversary weekend we were met with nothing but positive experiences from the valet to check out. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area and willing to take the time to answer, in detail, any questions you may have. The room booked overlooked the interior lobby of the hotel. It was definitely interesting and took getting used to, but the view of the stained roof was spectacular. There are two curtains on the window, an upper and a lower. We kept the lower curtain closed for a majority of the trip as other guests can see into the room as they walk by. The hotel also had an anniversary gift waiting for us in the room, so that was an extremely thoughtful surprise. The hotel is a short walk from the main strip of bars, the country music hall of fame, and the gulch. It really was an ideal location of you're looking to venture around by foot. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. 10/10

My wife and I were treated wonderfully this weekend at the Union Station hotel. Natalia at the front desk especially exceeded our expectations. The lobby is wonderful — the rooms are nice but the hotel is (of course) old so it has "character ". In our first floor room we heard train traffic all night and the AC is pretty load when it kicked in. Other rooms probably would not have same issue and we enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

A beautiful building with very accommodating staff. The meeting rooms was spacious and was exactly what we needed. The hotel is also close to other great places such as The Flying Saucer and the Frist museum.

We stayed on Sept 25th — 28th. Check in was at 3 PM and we waited until almost 4:15 to get a room and we arrived there at noon. Like others have said. The suites were $550 a night and at best they were standard business class rooms you could get at any other hotel for $149 a night. When I reserve a suite I expect it to be a suite, not a standard Holiday Inn room with a sitting area! Our A/C did not work the last 2 nights! The hotel lobby is very nice, but that is where is stops. Beds, towels, linens were old and the TV's are advertised as 42" and both were 32". Some channels we could not get because of bad reception. The banisters, light switches and door knobs were all filthy and we did not want to touch them. Bottom line is, I think they owe us about $1, 000 refund. Stay somewhere else and just stop in and take pictures of the lobby and move on to your next adventure. It's too bad, really. We planned this weekend for my wife and her twin sister's 40th birthday only to get ripped off by the accommodations. Ruined the whole trip!

Our stay at the Union Station Hotel in Nashville was very pleasant but compared to the Davenport Hotel (Autograph Collection) in Spokane Washington I would have to rate it much lower. Even though the cost was much higher. Parking was a problem and one is forced to use Valet parking whereas parking was validated in Spokane. I would recommend the hotel to others with considerations. The decor was unique but again, compared to the British Colonial decor in the Davenport, was lacking.

What an outstanding job of historic renovation and the staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. True southern hospitality and charm at it's finest. We'll definitely be back!

The lobby and public spaces in this hotel are immaculate and exquisitely detailed; this, coupled with the premium rates, I would expect a premium, well-appointed room to match. However, the attention to detail and luxury ends in the guest rooms. These are standard, business-class rooms at best — I would expect to pay about $159/night for these rooms, not north of $300 and $400 per night that they think they should command — no way! When I pay $350/night for a hotel room in the US, I expect superior quality linens and oversized towels, exquisite attention to quality and super-premium finishes, 2x daily housekeeping and turn-down service, and a spa-like bathroom; none of these things would describe our room. In fact, the mattress was bouncy and felt rather cheap; overall the room was a notch BELOW a standard Marriott room. Don't get me wrong, the place is not a dump, but if I spend $60, 000 on a car I expect a Mercedes-Benz, not a Honda Accord — I can't help but feel like a sucker that got ripped off. Bottom line… if you are going to a wedding or event here and want to stay, then get the same room at the Holiday Inn across the street for a fair price. If you are looking for a romantic indulgence for the weekend, walk into this place, take a picture of the lobby, and then keep walking to The Hermitage Hotel, where the same money will go MUCH further and you won't feel like you were scammed.

Beautiful lobby and dining room. Lovely staff. Rooms could do with a refresh. On the last day we were awoken by the housekeeping staff at 7am trying to clean the room. They came back an hour later to ask what time we would be checking out.

Poor service. Told valet to have car ready at 3AM for our departure. Checked out, went outside and there was no one in sight to get our keys from. Tried to go back in to ask front desk what's going on and front door to the hotel is locked and there is no way to contact front desk. Called front desk three times and no answer. When they finally answered and was made aware of the issue, they never came out to apologize, let us know what was going on, if someone was coming, or how long it was going to take. We were just left waiting outside with no clue what's going on and wondering why we let them know ahead of time about our early departure only to wake up early and then lose valuable time waiting for our car keys. Asked valet when he finally arrived why we weren't told no one would be ready with our keys and he said he should have been there but they had him doing something else. Well if that's the case why wasn't front desk aware of this and, if they were, why weren't we told before they let us walk out and be locked out of the hotel. It appears customer service training is not a requirement for employment at this hotel. Book somewhere else to avoid the aggravation.

Super cool hotel. It's an old converted train station in the best part of town. The rooms are all redone and the lobby is beautiful. You are right next to all the bars and restaurants. Great place to stay while in Nashville.

Spent a couple nights here at Union Station in Nashville and was very comfortable. Room wasn't real big but nicely appointed. Stayed on opposite side from railroad tracks as advised by another reviewer and slept like a lamb! Nice and quiet. The decor of the hotel is very upscale. Only drawback was no fridge in the room. Oh, and glad I wasn't paying for it at 350.00 plus per night.

Gorgeous lobby, the renovations were very impressive. We were here for a wedding reception and the food and service were excellent. And it's haunted, too.? We had a ghost tour app and it said spirits from a train wreck years ago still wander the halls. Don't know about that, but it wouldn't be the worst place to spend eternity! :).

Loved the hotel! It is absolutely gorgeous, and the staff was very attentive. Trains only tooted short blasts, and they did not disturb us. In fact, we found it to be very quaint! It's in a great location — we walked everywhere without effort. Would definitely recommend.

We were impressed with the historical beauty of the hotel. The thirty-foot ceilings of our room were breath-taking. The beauty of the lobby was magnificent. We highly recommend breakfast in the restaurant. We wish that we had known that a wedding would be taking place the evening we checked in, but it didn't matter as we were within walking distance of the bars on Broadway. We hope to return soon.

As far as hotels go, this is one of the nicest I have stayed at. However, I must raise complaint at their lack of smoking rooms, or at least a smoking lounge. Going outside when its 20 degrees is more damaging to your health than the smokes (not really, but still. ) The food was good, the facilities well maintained, and the staff were great. I would definitely come back to this property in the future.
