New hotel and great staff.

Considering systems were down after the blast took place the morning before on Christmas, staff were extremely alert and accommodating. My room had been booked for a couple of weeks ahead of time and staff weren’t sure what rooms were even available once I arrived. They let us leave our luggage there while we took a walk through the Gulch and I received a call stating they had an upgrade available and that they would charge me the same original rate. The rooftop bar was amazing, incredible panoramic views. The room was clean and cozy. The shower was amazing. Staff was so friendly and never had any attitude, no eye rolling, always happy to help and to fulfill any request I had. I travel a lot and that is so rare, especially when in chaos. They handled that professionally and calm. The only disappointment was whirlpool was chilly, I booked the hotel strictly for the location, rooftop views, and what I thought was a hot tub. But this didn’t ruin my trip. Cant have it all, right? But seriously guys, you were all just so great. Oh — I also thought I’d be paying a fortune for Uber to get downtown, this place is literally within a (safe! ) mile walking distance to all the sites, just like my hometown Chicago.

John from the front desk was very caring when I was having acid reflux I asked him somewhere close for a convenience store. He gave me directions but also offered me chocolate milk to help settle my stomach. Went out of his way to be kind and courteous to us. Thanks again”Maui”… Moana reference!

The staff was very sweet and extremely helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. They had a very nice breakfast with live music in the mornings I was very pleased with our stay here.

Music & Venue was very nice But didn’t care for food.

Fairfield or a courtyard? This is a very nice hotel! Clean there is a great bar lounge called UP on the top floor. Great drinks good food and nice views of the city.

The area for the meeting was nice and clean. The snacks set out were very nice. I liked the variety of drinks available. The roof top seating area was very nice, with a nice view. I enjoyed the meeting her very much.

Room had an odor issue which we were given a credit. Cleanliness was not the best. We returned to find bathroom counter not cleaned and we had no soap. Some pillow cases were not changed. Up bar not family friendly in that no kids allowed outside. Kids only allowed inside where there are no regular tables. But great for adults. Food was very good.

Awesome place to stay! Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was excellent from the valet to the front desk and breakfast. Easy walk to the gulch restaurants and close to downtown, a 20 min. Walk or a quick cab ride. A great neighborhood to stay in.

When I first started working at this hotel the ppl were very nice. Then the GM started picking because I found bed bugs in 2 rooms. So then they moved me to breakfast and I had to fight to keep my job there because I had just had my 1st child, and they said I didn't notify them if the birth. The GM, I think is very racist and bias and very unfair. They fool the guests with the water in the exercise room, fill the container up with faucet water. And all the breakfast is microwaved. And on top of that, they give all both the Hispanic housekeepers 30+ rooms everyday. This is an unfair workplace and they need to be audited.

The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. The hotel is located in the gulch within walking distance to restaurants. The only downside is that parking is $29 per day if you self-park and $32 per day if you use the valet.

Nice clean, new hotel in the Gulch. About 3/4 of a mile from Downtown. Great service and a nice included breakfast. They have an impressive view of the city from their bar ("UP") on the top floor. Good value if you want to stay in a Marriott property.

Amazing views. Very decent cocktails. For the night when you're in town and just can't have energy to go anywhere else. Excellent place.

1st day we had no hot water for showers and our room wasnt cleaned when we returned from our meeting. We saw the person with the cleaning cart if she was going to clean our room. She said no she was on her last room. We asked her to clean our room please and she was not happy. Our boss was in the room next door. When she arrived back, her room was not cleaned either. She called to have both 403 and 405 cleaned. Was told they'd take care of it. We went to dinner. Came back and 403 was cleaned nut 405 was not. Part of what is great about staying in a hotel is coming back to a nice clean room. Just one of the warm fuzzies in life. Was just disappointed. Everything else was nice though. Enjoyed breakfast and coffee. Bed very comfortable.

Great place. Downtown in a popular area, the Gulch. Room is fantastic. Service from getting our of car was above fantastic. Have a Rooftop Bar UP. Great views and wonderfully relaxing.

Let me start by saying I have spent a great portion of my life traveling, staying and living in hotels both domestically and internationally. It should be known that I am a complainer and incredibly hard to please. I’m trying to find the nicest and safest way to review this hotel with out doing it in a manner that doesn’t truly reflect the standards or status of not only the property but the people servicing it. I will start with the hotel itself, the rooms are wonderful, from linens, to bed to furniture to accessories, it is a perfect and viable option for an overnight stay anywhere. With that being said, the last thing that you will find yourself complaining about will be your room. What makes this property outstanding, and that’s the term I choose to use because I really can’t find a better word for the superior and amazing customer service at every single level of this hotel, from room support and maintenance to front desk and food service to management, without a doubt one of the best run properties I have ever been to. The location of the property could not be more accessible or in a better part of the city accessible to downtown, the interstates and landmarks. This is not a
huge hotel, a small footprint in the city landscape with a wonderful rooftop lounge and bar overlooking the city which is also quite amazing.

We've stayed here twice: first, when the hotel initially opened (so we forgave the many service-related glitches) and again in February 2018. Sadly, We will not return. Although the location is great, the rooms spacious and comfortable, and we love the live music during breakfast, the service at this hotel is TERRIBLE. Both times, during multiple-day stays, our rooms received NO HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE. Even after we called to complain, repeatedly — — nothing. I again mentioned this upon check out and the manager said "she'd check into it" but that it was "not their policy" to give any discount (our room rate was $422, for heaven's sake! ) or even extra Marriott rewards points for the inconvenience. Ridiculous. Sorry, Fairfield, but such deplorable customer service just lost you 4 Marriott Rewards customers.

Clean rooms with large king bed, large bathroom, and plenty of amenities. Nice bar on the roof with good food, continental breakfast. Parking is expensive, both self-park ($29) and valet ($32). Lots of great bars and eateries right across the street. Most of the Gulch big attractions within walking distance. Definitely check out Rudy's Jazz Bar. Live music, good whiskey.

Favorite Fairfield I've been to. The staff are incredibly nice, friendly, and welcoming. The rooms are fine and the workout equipment was good. It's in a great location close to a few coffee shops and a lot of great restaurants. The lounge has good cocktails. I will always stay here when in town.

The staff were wonderful. They were all very nice and sang Happy Birthday to me in the morning! However, my room had a weird strain on the carpet and a few other dirty patches.

Decent newish hotel near lots of dining options. Roof top lounge was ok. Nothing spectacular. Rooms seem a little run down. There was visible dust on all the walls and a faux wood crossbeam had a film on it with the words "Wash Me" written in the film. Bathroom walls surrounding the toilet were dirty, as was the shower. The hot water was hit or miss both days I stayed. Plenty of better choices in the Nashville area. I won't stay here again.

Nice hotel, nothing super special, but good location in the gulch, parking and valet are the same price ($25 when I was there) and the entrance /valet drop off area can be a little tight.

Very nice facility. They have an excellent hot breakfast. The rooms and facility are very clean and well maintained. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good location far enough away that it's quiet but close enough to walk to anything you need. Great restaurants and coffee shops around, and they have a really cool rooftop patio. Service is great, as in any Marriott hotel.

Great location and the front desk, breakfast room and rooftop bar staff were friendly; the food and cocktails were great. Live music in the lobby during breakfast was lovely. However, the housekeeping staff and attentiveness to guest requests were substandard. While the rooms were clean (the bed were SO comfortable), our (repeated) requests for a CLEAN iron, extra pillows and extra towels went unheeded until I went down and waited for them. And housekeeping never cleaned our room. It will be a great hotel once the "kinks" are worked out.

Almost everyone at this hotel was great. Very friendly, and professional. The breakfast was very nice especially for being free. However, the night we arrived we had reserved three room and had called ahead days in advance to make sure two of the rooms had two queens because we were putting four people in each of those rooms. When we walked in to the rooms there was just a king in each of them. So we went back to the desk and explained the problem and the lady at the desk told us there was nothing she could do and that there was "no record of our phone call" so she couldn't help us. We explained there was four people in each room so she offered us a rollaway bed. We explained it felt wrong to be spending this much money to sleep on a rollaway and she explained we were already getting a discount so it was still a good deal. Obviously this was upsetting so we asked if there was anything else she could do. She said they only had two other rooms open and they were both king rooms. So we asked her to give us one of those since she couldn't give us two queens like we asked. She said the best she could do was charge us another $100 for a room. The sign on the door said satisfaction guaranteed but we definitely did not walk away feeling satisfied.

Decent hotel in the Gulch area — — which is a nice area by downtown that has restaurants and bars. Great rooftop bar with views. 20 min walk to downtown. It seems a little dated but is clean with spacious rooms. Mattresses are a little below average but fine.

The hotel is beautiful and clean, and located right in downtown. The rooftop restaurant is awesome and the food is delicious. The driveway and parking are awful, we often got stuck because it's too narrow for 2 way traffic and people stopping to check in.

This was the 2nd time I've stayed here for two special occasions. First time I was hosting a best friend's Bachelorette party and this time was my daughter's 22nd birthday. Both times the staff has been phenomenal, the rooms & hotel very clean, and the atmosphere awesome. I did have a problem on this trip where I was given the wrong room … a king size vs two Queens. When I called they explained they had noticed my profile preference was a king so they were insuring I had …my preference. Only this time I had called before arrival to confirm two queens because I was sharing a room with my daughters two other friends for her bday. Within 20 min I had an apology, a new room near Up with a city view, and a bag of goodies for the inconvenience that included snacks, drinks hotel drink koozies (my daughter loved those) and a $25 gift certificate to Up. I had remained professional and so did they and it all worked out. As with the other reviews we enjoyed the close walk in the Gulch area to eat at Bar Louie and even walked downtown to Broadway and back to shop.
The hotel offers a free shuttle downtown also which we took advantage of that night to bar hop since we walked all day. There are also really cool alternative methods to taxi in Nashville downtown… golf cars, party barge, and Off the Wagon complete with the green John Deere tractor that is a viral YouTube sensation. We are doing that next time!

Fantastic view of the Nashville skyline. Much more quiet and relaxed than most of the bars but the calmer atmosphere was perfect for good conversations and catching up with old fiends. We ordered the bartender "surprise me" drink after describing what tastes we wanted at that moment and it was one of the best cocktails of my life. I will be back to Nashville again and this bar will be my first evening stop.

Great hotel and location. The breakfast is good and the Gulch area is great. Also we walked to Broadway from hotel less than a mile. Very nice place and would stay here next trip to Nashville.

Staff graciously upgraded our room which was spacious and clean. Looks like decor was recently updated. Rooms do not have good views, however, the roof top restaurant / bar makes up for it. Enjoyed drinks and appetizers which was delicious. The staff was always friendly and very helpful. I would give it 5 stars if it had better views from the room​.

The staff is very friendly, even at 5 in the morning they're happy to help. The location is a nice 10-15 minute walk from most attractions (good for sobering up) and they have a night shuttle that will drive you out of the hotel. They also have a really good breakfast, rooftop restaurant, hot tub and fitness room! All around fantastic stay.

EVERYBODY was so nice and inviting. The rooftop bar was awesome all the way down to the breakfast in the morning. I would recommend this location to anyone visiting the area. They created a culture that I have not seen at other hotels. Thank you for making our Nashville trip wonderful.

Clean, updated hotel with a great location. Rooftop bar has an exceptional view… a little pricey but not egregious. Two reasons for only 4 stars… the 8:37 AM Sunday morning knock on the door by house keeping. I understand it's a busy hotel, but please be realistic with checkout. The other reason is the $20 self parking fee which has recently been instituted. I've stayed here 5 or 6 times on business over the past year and a half and never had to pay to park my own car. Keep in mind, It's a Fairfield, not a JW. Also, to no fault of the hotel, there are constantly trains going by about 200 yards away sounding their horns. This can be very annoying for light sleepers.

Great rooms and awesome customer service. The breakfast is pretty good too. It is a bit of a walk to the music city center but there are lots of restaurants in the gulch that are very good.

Havent had milk for 3 days. Now they are out of eggs and forks. Pathetic. There is a kroger 2 miles from here. Update: the manager did respond to my Saturday email, and "made things right".
